"Seems that coming here wasn't such a bad idea after all." Tristan glance up at the open trapdoors. "The tide may have just turned in our favor. This building is too big to hold only the small amount of children that we see here. The trapdoors prove that enough. There is more to this place than meets the eye. These children can't be all that there is here. Therefore, they must be hiding more up there. These children say that the ones kept up there aren't human. Tell me Eleanor, what known race has the appearance of a child?"

Tristan smiled while shoving the guards into single empty cage. Leaving Eleanor to deal with whatever was coming their way, Tristan calmly approached one the children. A little girl of about age 9. "Hey there. Don't be afraid, I'm a friend."
The girl huddled herself, as best as she could with 5 other kids cramping up the cage, to the far corner. Without saying a word, she regarded the strange man that stood before her.
"Don't be afraid" Tristan repeated. I'm here to help, but first, I need your help."

At length the girl decided to respond. She seemed to have trouble forming her words. It was obvious that she had not spoken in a great while. "W-what h-h.... help y-you n-need?"

Tristan gave the girl a sad smile. How could his father have ever allowed this? No, Tristan reminded himself, Not my father. A Demon.
"I need to know what is kept up there. What secrets are kept behind the trap doors?"

The girl began to shake uncontrollably. Shaking her head profusely, she refused to answer the question. A boy answered it for her. He seemed around 13.
"They take special children up there." The boy said quietly.

Tristan gave the boy a confused look. "special?" He asked.

The boy merely nodded. "They aren't human." whispered a boy next to him.

Tristan's eyes widened so much that he felt as though they would fall from their sockets. Not Human? But then that means... Tristan scratched his chin. Intricate plans began to play out in his head. "Not human." Tristan said, letting the words linger in the air.

Tristan smiled and merely shrugged. He knew this to be a good time to act. "It really doesn't matter to me, though now that you mention it, perhaps killing them would be fun. What do you guys think?" Tristan asked while turning his gaze to the guards. "Do you guys want to die?" In the blink of an eye, Tristan advanced on the closest one and shaped blade against his throat. "Well?" He asked again in a sinister tone. "Do you?"
Stunned by the display, the guards realized just how out skilled they were compared to the two warriors before them. They didn't need Tristan to ask again, they all dropped their weapons at once.
Tristan grinned broadly, "Smart move." And with a few kicks and punches, the guards lay unconscious on the floor. The lineve blade dissipated as quickly as it was shaped. "Nice." Tristan exclaimed happily. "I think they all deserve a single cage, in which they can sort out their thoughts and decide where their loyalties lie."

"There is no plan at the moment." Grumbled to himself. We're head back to the desert. feel free to come with."

Zack stared into the western night sky. He had left Danil to deal with the events in the ruined city. He knew in his heart that he could trust Danil to become the leader that those people needed now.
But the people of Cheslidair where something to worry about anther day. Right now Zack had bigger issues to worry about. Issues and events taking place to the west. Already he could feel the auras of two, possibly three, powerful demons, coming from that general direction.
Zack speed off towards the closest two auras while casting a spell of masking to hide his own Angelen aura. Such an ability was uncommon among Angelens; however, Zack was no ordinary Angelen.
This was to be the first time in 300 hundred years that Zack performed this spell. He didn't use it except for situations such as this. If he were to do battle with these two new enemies, the first thing he needed was information.

Nas gave Ben a kind smile "How could she not like you? but that's not the..." Nas paused and looked behind herself. She could sense Ruby nearby. "I must go now." Nas said quietly. "I have a mission I must attend to." and without another word, Nas ran off towards Ruby.

Tristan grinned widely. "Excellent!" he said with a touch of excitement. Several new possibilities suddenly came to mind. "Keep your power in check right now, we may need it later. Now let's see, four against two, huh? Kinda makes me feel sorry for these guys."

The guards began to glance at one another, nervously. No doubt, they were beginning to wonder whether these two opponents were worth fighting.

"Not too good at all." Replied Tristan. "Say Eleanor, how many necks do you think you can snap, using telekinetic energy, without using up too much energy?"

    -----------------

Nas put her finger to her lip and thought for a moment. "Perhaps, now is not the best time...." She said finally.

"This isn't good." Tristan said quietly. "We've been ambushed."
As if on cue, the trapdoors opened. Ladders of rope rolled down from each, though they weren't being used by the guards that jumped down from the openings.
Very clever. Tristan thought grumpily having multiple trap doors allows them to set up a defensible perimeter around intruders. Not only that, we don't know what will be waiting for us once we climb those ladders. Strange though, why are they hiding up there? That long narrow corridor, at the entrance, should have been a great enough of a defense to hold off most foes, so then why have this?"
Tristan's thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a guard coming towards him. Raising his right hand above his head, Tristan Shaped a blade of Lineve to block a vertical attack, which would have surely cut his head in two, while at the same time Shaping another blade in his left hand to block an oncoming blow, from another guard, at his left. Without a second's thought, Tristan swung his right leg under his opponent and successfully knocked away his opponent's footing. As the guard fell to the ground with a thud, Tristan proceeded to thrust his right blade into his leftmost opponent. He then slashed at the throat of the guard who had fallen to the ground. Tristan's blades dissipated instantly. He stood ready for his next opponent.

"We got a Shaper!" cried one of the guards.

Tristan chuckled to himself as he walk past the dead men. "It looks like you really did have fun."
Tristan entered the great chamber and frowned at what he saw. This must be the main transaction room. There were several children caged up along the walls, grouped together in a way that resembled cattle. There were no other doors that lead to other areas of the building.
"Where are all the other guards?" he wondered aloud. "This can't be the entire building, It looked as though there were multiple stories."
Tristan glanced at the ceiling and noticed the outlines of several trap doors.

Tristan merely shrugged. "Who knows. There's only one way to find out though." Tristan shaped another ball of compressed lineve and threw that one at the door down the hall. The door blew apart like the last one. It opened into a giant chamber. Tristan could make out some shadows in the clouds of dust. "It looks like we found our hosts."

Nas lowered her weapon. She took a moment to take in the vampire. She never really like vampires. They were not natural creatures of the earth. It wasn't always like that. They use to be humans. Their kingdom held one of the crystals that sealed away the demonic Realm. She knew that much.

Roots shot up from the ground and formed a spear. Snapping off the bottom end. Nas steadily lifted the spear and pointed it at Aidou. Her hair then burst into flames. "You shall not go near her." Nas said coldly.

Tristan shook his head. He didn't see anyone. However He was sure that they would be meeting resistance soon enough.

"Hmmm?" Nas asked questioningly. "Did I say something bad?" Nas took her gaze away from the stars and looked towards Ben. "Her connetion to the earth is deep. It gives me a pleasant feeling, a feeling of family, just by standing next to her." said Nas while giving Ben a cheerful smile. "How lucky you are to have a Cylian as a master." That thought turned her smile into a frown. Once again Nas gaze up at the stars. "Oh how I miss my Cylian master."
Nas's depression only lasted for a moment. Once again she tore her gaze from the stars and stared at Adiual. She smiled happily as she call forth a gust of wind. The wind carried to her one of the cherry blossoms, which were so out of season, which bloomed due to her earlier humming.
catching the blossom in one hand, she examined it closely. The blossom suddenly began to not only grow in size, but also change in appearance. Finally of the transformation was complete. Nas held, in her hand, a lily which was nearly blue in color.
She then popped the lily into Adiual's hair. "There, much better." She said happily as her smile grew in size. "Never shall it ever wither."

Nas snapped her head towards the girl. "Girl?" she asked curiously. slowly she began circling Aduial while occasionally tilting her head side to side. "Pretty?" She asked more to herself than anyone else.
Finally she came to a halt. She then gazed up at the stars, which where beginning to appear in the darkening sky. "
Yes," she said absently, "I suppose you could say she is.... pretty."

Tristan half heard Eleanor. He felt exhausted not just because of his lack of sleep, but because of his wounds as well. He wasn't too sure how much use he would be here. "Just keep your ears open for now. The dust will clear soon." He said in a whisper.
