She shivered, then slowly shifted back, feeling her bones twinge. "No one is a monster." she murmured, feeling her facial bones elongate into a wolf's jaw. Slowly lifting her head and standing up, she wobbled, then braced herself, trying to get her four legs under control. Daine ran faster, panting, then smacked into something unbelievably solid. She stumbled back, trying to maintain her balance, then looked up. It was a human. As if this day couldn't get any worse. "Pardon..." she whispered, trying to keep to the shadows. Maybe he didn't know what she was. If Luck was with her.
