That largely depends on the drug in question, to my understanding. Not all drugs are are all *that* (see: that) harmful.

Anyway, I've always been kind of surprised at how clean my school is. I've never heard of a single pregnancy, incident of drug use, alcohol accident, nothing.

I do know all my classmates get drunk as balls during parties though. I've never seen it personally, I like to keep to myself.

In 8th grade maybe it's a bit too young for that, but I think it's natural at older ages, I'm not at all against premarital sex, alcohol consumption or *responsible* recretional drug use (though I doubt I'd ever participate in the latter two). I'm pretty liberal when it comes to that sort of that thing.

As for whether the teachers' behavior in discussing these activities is correct, well, that depends on the details. Giving guidance to make sure that kids hurt themselves less with such things isn't a bad idea in my book.

Like others have said, to really be able to communicate with anyone, you'll have to learn all three alphabets.

Learning katakana isn't really hard. Think of a word, look up the katakana that the word can be written with, and write it. That's what I did, and now I can recognize just about any katakana there is.
