Edward nodded stiffly, taking one step back and waiting for her reply.
Edward stepped over to Hannah, reaching out a hand to help her up.
Edward tightened his fingers around the gun and suddenly squeezed the trigger without even trying. His bullet flew directly into John's left kneecap, and Edward dropped the gun, amazed with himself.
Edward tensed, cocking back the hammer on Van Helsing's gun. I've got to knock him out, he thought desperately to himself. That will work.
OOC: mmhmm john locke was an enlightenment philosopher... they must have named the character in lost after him :D i noticed that first time i saw his name in my history book, too! :D "I think you'd best listen," Edward said after Van Helsing spoke.
Edward jumped when he heard Van Helsing and Michael behind him and turned, his fists tightening again. "Don't kill him," he hissed at the hunter.
OOC: yay! *parties* and my new siggy is smexy, too! :D Edward hesitated, swearing under his breath. His hands loosened on the gun slightly, unsure what to do. Lestat, is Bee with you? he asked instead of acting.
"You think I'll tell you?" Edward scoffed. "Just talking to you is a waste of my time, so you deserve no explanation from anyone. I don't have to kill you now, because she can't finish what she has to, but I can hurt you enough." He pulled out Van Helsing's gun, only three bullets left in it now. "Leave her or I'll shatter your kneecaps so badly it will take days for you to heal them."
"If she wasn't so weak now, thanks to you," Edward said softly, "I could kill you now. You don't know what I do."
Bee, get up, Edward said sideways. Go find Lestat; he'll watch you till I finish this. Edward turned to John and tried to breathe evenly, focusing all his energy on letting his fur melt away, feeling the dirt under his palms again until he could see his hair hanging in his eyes. He cleared his throat and rose, standing straight and glaring at John. "You can let her go, or I will kill you now instead of later."
OOC: lol i just heart Bee lotzzz I already assumed that, you idiot, Edward growled at John, trying his best not to listen to Hannah. And I came to get my friends and leave, that's it.
OOC: OMFL!!! BIC: Edward heard Lestat but did not say anything back, the venom in his body numbing the sting of the vampire's sharp tone in his mind. He poked his head around a tree, gazing ahead of him and growled loudly when he saw Beatrice on the ground. His mind reached out to John, his own voice in his head painful: Leave them alone, he hissed. How low can you be, to pick on two women alone? I'm not impressed.
You expect me to stay and let her suffer? Edward growled at Lestat. You're an idiot.
Edward's gait turned from a walk to a run when he heard the noises in the trees in front of him. Lestat! he growled, trying to sound calmer than before. Help me; she needs it!
"With all due respect Michael," Edward said calmly, turning to him now. "I do not trust you and, therefore, if anyone is in danger, I don't want you there." He began to make his way into the trees, growling under his breath at the urge to burst out of his skin mounted once more. Control, he thought for one moment, and then ignored it: he stripped off his black silk shirt and threw it on the nearest tree before letting his skin melt away, dropping to all fours without even thinking twice. He padded foward on the muddy ground slowly, smelling the air around him.
"No!" Edward retorted, taking a step toward the trees. "I'll be back soon..."
"Van Helsing," Edward snapped suddenly. "I'm going to find them."
"Yes," Edward snapped, staring at the trees. "And if I'm right, I only trust one and want to kill the other, so... I thought they would both be back by now!"
"Really?" Edward frowned. "Dammit." Lestat, let them be! he shouted mentally, as loud as he could. Hannah needs to stay away from you and Bee doesn't need your encouragement!
"I thought you knew," Edward said, following his gaze. "Three," he confirmed anyway.
