The Intel Discussion area is one of my favorites and also sometimes a bane. It's great to get people's opinions and all but it's also the only place you can get derepped by people who won't put an opinion down. Good stuff.

The government doesn't need to do a thing.... parents do. Those kids don't pick this stuff up from media alone. The majority probably heard parents and teens and others around cussing and picked it up to use or some parents let their kids watch movies they are too young for obviously and don't discipline them to not say the words. I totally blame the parents because the kids either learn it from them or they don't discipline the kids when they say the stuff they heard from the mouths of teens or other adults around.

If anything, I think the government needs to back off and not get involved and someone slap the parents. Anytime the govt gets involved those of us who are old enough to take the mature stuff get told we can no longer have access to it or it becomes more difficult. Did anyone bother trying to go talk to a parent and say what the kid just said? If not, you aren't really helping the system and giving that parent even a chance to know the kid does this. It's not likely the kid says that crap in front of mom and dad.

Yes, the bystander effect was definitely in place here. This is why I do -not- depend on my peers to do crap and just go do things if I am going to. I don't care if I would get a ticket or whatever. I helped a girl climb off a school roof because she couldn't get down after she had used the side air vents on the building to get up there to get her ball. The cops came and scolded me and drove me home, unsure if my story and hers were true that I carried her down the vents even though my fingers were freaking red. Some people are silly, and others just hope someone else will do something. Best thing in life to do is not be a follower.

That's a good anime. Now, when do we get our Spike back or has Mr Brightside consumed him utterly?

Darn. I'll have to try harder next time. I made a 'promise' of sorts to people that in the Spam Zone I would try to not write dissertations.

You are the third person to comment on the edit remarks lol
I can never think of anything to write there so Chocobo sounds or some other made up words are used for amusement.

Well, longer orgasms are better, right? Who's been sticking porno pics with my essays now? Staff, bad!

Thanks, Sovereign. A lot of you write very well too and it's always fun to meet and interact with people who do like to think and also teach me things too.

You are probably right. We never want to give too much love credit to cats.

It -can- happen but if I do too many short posts, some people say there will be the Apocalypse so I have to be careful.

OOC: I think we were waiting to see if Pika was going to be fine and then now it's Erkz's turn to do the judgment thang.

    IC:

Harvey went out to get Pika a glass of water, stopped off at the candy machine and came back, setting the water on the table and a bag of Skittles. "Don't eat the Skittles until you feel better, alright?"

"You should be fine in a few minutes, though I am unsure what did transpire" Yen Sid spoke assuredly. He was watching the young prosecutor to make sure there were not any odd happenings going on. It was interesting to see some higher power had called for this court to be progress over the case of the Nobodies. He would gather up information on the Nobodies he had not had prior. All he knew before was that they were not supposed to exist as they were, but then again, the Heartless were also never intended to manifest themselves on the Prime-material plane where beings dwelt. They were meant to exist in Darkness. The great balance had been upset by the Heartless. The Nobodies also seemed to be causing an imbalance and situation, though at the time he was not certain what it was their grand purpose was. However, it had caused problems to the order of things. This case was rather important to discern just what it was they were doing and to decide in what ways to fix the situation if they were freed. Yes, the old sorcerer wished to hear the cases and comprehend the matter.

The situation seemed simple enough that they had to be stopped because of their interference in worlds and all, and that they were incomplete and should have been in the place between worlds to wait until their hearts could be liberated. Their existences had gone unnoticed for years until the last year of their activity, though there were hints to suggest Heartless were not alone in being split. Their wills to exist and possibly make themselves whole apart from their 'somebodies' was what caused this situation perhaps. Were they entitled to it? Maybe. If they were, he may do the right thing and assist them but if not, they were nothing more than ghosts hanging on to a life that was temporary outside of the cycle, incomplete. His biggest debate on the Organization was if they were going to return to their Hearts and Somebodies, or if they were attempting to steal the Hearts and become whole in their new personalities they had developed. Perhaps there was even more to it. Now that he had the chance to hear, he would do so.

    Equality?

I feel that people have different potentials in abilities throughout life and bias for what is successful and not does not go off things such as gender, ethnicity, wealth or sexual preference. These things are just not good enough reasons for someone to say that a person is not equal to demanding fair treatment in law etc. Also, I believe handicapped people or mentally disabled people should also be treated as people and that children should be treated on par with adults and not treated as lesser people or used as an excuse to toss in 100 stupid laws. I think all people should be regarded for who they are in that way. I believe people do deserve the chance to find their niches in life and even with disabilities, they can and so should not just be cast out.

However, I do not think we are all born equal aside from rights we are entitled to in a society. Some people are more intellectual, some people are faster, some people are stronger, some people are thinner, fatter, have injuries, debilitating diseases or conditions, some people have food allergies, mental instability, some are homicidal or suicidal, etc. So to say all people are born equal would technically in regards to genetics be flawed. At any one time someone may be better at something than someone else. I can't isolate it to say one gender is always stronger than the other or faster, or that one 'race' is superior in intellect etc to another, but on an individual basis we all know people of any gender or race that can be low in intellect, mentally disabled, incapable of physically accomplishing things, have no talent in music, act reckless, etc. Is a person who can run 2 miles in 10 minutes going to be equal in that skill with someone who runs it in 18 minutes? Of course not. However, is that person who ran that race in 10 minutes that can't draw a stick figure recognizably going to be on par with that person who ran the 18 minute run when the person can draw exquisitely? Nope, there too. So in the end we all have our talents and things we can say we are good or suck at.

Also, some people seem more skilled at a variety of things than others may. So in the end we are not equal in competition with one another, but we as humans do set ourselves above the animal kingdom in regards to our sentience. We don't -have- to be as competitive as animals in the wild do and we also have an array of occupations and things we can go do so people can excel or not. People can find jobs they will profess in and skills they can use which makes up for their negatives. As humans have set up social structures, kinder places try to help people find their niches in life making it possible to contribute to the society. Even some people like my twin with cerebral palsy do work whereas in some other places she'd be considered a total burden. I feel she deserves that chance because being successful in life means a lot to nearly anyone.

Because of our sentience and society with a ton of things people can do, we do dodge the issue of Natural Selection most often except when we war with each other and there's a possibility of genocide of something or we outlaw a certain behavior and cause it to plummet. We make things more 'equal' for people but people themselves are not created equal and we are all gifted and blighted at one time.

OOC: No, he cannot be Emperor Palaptine or Darth Maul. *snickers*

"Actually, someone else helped you, Pika, and there weren't supposed to be side effects. Do you want to sit down and drink some water?" Harvey inquired. The little guy was looking a bit green now.

"He looks like he's going to chuck his lunch." Sora was glad he wasn't right by the front there. He was safe, so he hoped.

Riku studied the Pokemon and then yawned. "There's a bucket by the table. He can barf in that." Everything was under control to Riku. He always had a plan...sometimes.
