OOC: I enjoyed the RP and wanted to see the outcome but it seems that people feel jipped etc and it carries onto the next things. It really was a nice break from arguing in threads about it and Erkz was doing a good job at being pretty neutral. It was fun but I understand if people want to just drop it. Any way have a good night guys and girls.
Gay people want the right of marriage for a few reasons. One, it's to show a devotion and commitment to one another and that they won't cheat, won't leave etc, they can grow old and live together and be happy like any married couple wants. Next, the law and justice system sees them as married. Despite civil unions attempts at being 'equal' still when one of the people die or fall ill, they are given hell to see them in the hospital or to be the first people to receive things from the death of the partner. Too often, greedy family members step in and where in normal cases the -direct- family gets to deal with the funeral etc...i.e. a spouse, gay people get screwed out of it all and others will come in and take whatever they want. Gay marriage also means that gay people can adopt or have kids and BOTH parents will be recognized as the kid's (kids') lawful parents and be able to raise the child without having to deal with others thinking it's just the 'live in boyfriend or girlfriend'. They have to acknowledge both parental figures and it stops bias. All of these reasons seem rather legitimate to me and they aren't getting money and relaxing. They are asking for the same rights any two opposite gender people would get for marrying and sticking to a life of commitment and loyalty. If they are willing to stick to the rules of marriage in heart, it's more than some straight people can say.
You were the smart one. Anyway, see you guys tomorrow. I've got school in...a few hours. joy. But ICSP, I consider sending Heartless after people or trying to make Beast lose his Heart, Jack getting cursed, etc kind of potential danger. Any way, I'll let this drop so people can get on with the normal function of what the thread is supposed to be. Peace out.
I really don't get why there are 'necro' threads any way unless they are going to actually be removed if we aren't supposed to revive them. Maybe some threads if they are too old should automatically be trimmed off so that it helps with the space and all and that way no one opens a too old thread. That way if a new thread comes about later too, people aren't upset about it and threads can be merged easier if a past one does exist still. I think removing old threads after a time duration of no response would fix this up so that there is no such thing again as a dead thread and the search for the threads still semi-current means no one gets it for reopening the topic.
I don't really know if I care at this point because you keep hammering it into the ground the Org are the good guys and yet this is pointless. Whatever the reason it does not excuse what they did to Sora and others who were innocent of it. You miss the point entirely. Even if they had some righteous heroic reason, it doesn't justify how they went about things to get their goals. It really does not. The Org were cool and all. I think they are great characters (or most any way.) but the point still stands that their methods of getting their goal was not right and the ends do not always justify the means.
OOC: I don't think there's a point when the Defense side are the ones who want to discontinue and the debates on adding in Edgeworth to try Sora...after the silly debate gets brought up again about Sora in another topic, I just am not interested in pursuing this anymore. Obviously we are all just too opinionated for our own goods to make this work.
No, I think you are grasping. This point is done and over done. Sora is not a murderer. The Org is not just a bunch of innocent hippies lurking in some world and they want to come out and play and fill the worlds with song. They were able to be empathized with but the point is with the Org...they would not empathize back, would they? They do what they will, and that's that. Let this go dead already. Just because you love the Org doesn't mean you have to hate on Sora for being stuck in the position he was. They -placed- him in it. They aren't totally bad but at the same time, they definitely aren't the goodies you are trying to make them out to be.
No, ICSP. If it was going to be the 'cure' pure and simple, the Org could have done things differently. There is something having to do with Xemnas/Xehanort himself that you are missing. I am sure that it isn't so simple as that since Axel got the 'cure' and returned to his Somebody. I seriously doubt Xemnas wanted to do that and instead use the Hearts from other people for his and other Org members' power. Consider this simple fact. Xemnas never goes after -Riku- who was holding who...Xehanort's Heartless. Not once do they turn and instead just keep going and bothering Sora and his friends. Riku hides and does things to help Sora and even Saix just totally assumes Riku is gone...but doesn't even do anything about Xehanort's Heartless? It is purely evidential that Xemnas had NO desire to return to his Somebody. He may have been trying to create himself something else instead. I am not sure, but whatever the plan was, it caused others to suffer in droves. It may have been to go against some new foe in a new form etc, but seriously, he was obviously not following Nomura's own words as to how Nobodies can be whole. Axel did, perhaps some of the other Nobodies who died may have survived, though perhaps not. They were not just totally innocent good guys.
If he had more trust in the Organization, wouldn't he have said something? Instead he tells Axel that no one will miss him any way. Things weren't as 'perfect' and nice as you want to make it out to be. Let alone the fact that traitors or people that try to leave the Org are given capital punishment. :)
You do realize that FF 13 has two sides with a protagonist and antagonist? I doubt they are going to look like 'saints' in the end or Roxas wouldn't have left them. It seemed like the Org didn't even like the Org. They aren't going to look like shining good guys. This isn't to say they will look like wretched villains either, but there obviously will be reasons Roxas walked off and didn't buy into Xemnas's stuff anymore, other than just dreams. It's also said the 14th member is a motivational force to him. They aren't going to be the shiny heroes you want them to be in order to justify your statement that Sora is a murderer. It just won't happen, even if Xemnas is out to save himself because he may be connected to the whole of Terra. The methods again, were wrong.
Sora had a range of emotions. He wasn't always happy. He was jealous of Riku as Kairi and Riku and Sora were at the tree and Riku was talking about going away and thanked Kairi for the inspiration. He was sad and disheartened that Riku and he weren't getting along. His friends were the ones that worked on cheering him up. Remember the whole 'this ship works on happy faces' or whatever? He was anxious when Kairi was in trouble. He was nervous around the girl. He was forgiving to Namine and even offered such forgiveness potential to -anyone- who would just stop doing what they were. He was desperate on his hands and knees in front of Saix. He was depressed after and not sure what to do if killing Heartless was working for the Org for a purpose he wasn't sure of but hey, it must be bad if he's being used and left in the dark. He was angry and called out the Org, forgetting what was going on around him because he was upset and irritated at their audacity and what they were doing. Sora has a wide range of emotions. Yes, he could be more perceptive, which is a flaw, but at the same time, he's not emotionless with only two emotions as you say.
I am just going to stop this now because it's kind of getting lame. Sora is not a murderer of a bunch of pathological people with their own scheme to use him. They made the choices. He didn't. I find it ironic you champion 12 people versus one 15/14 year old boy and act like they were the ones bullied and all. It makes no logical sense at all. They weren't really super villains and I'm sure there was some scheme behind it that was either meant for a later 'semi-good' purpose or an awful one, depending on who Xemnas turns out to be connected to. However, the methods were wrong, the tactical attitude was cruel, and they did the worst. Not a 15 year old with a giant key.
lol, where the crap do you get that idea? The Organization were drawing the Heartless to Sora and also making the big ones to take out other people and curse people, destroy people and turn them into Nobodies and Heartless. They weren't being heroes here in that regard. Also, when Sora called them out he was -frustrated-. He actually HAS a Heart and what person wouldn't be ticked off they are being used etc and getting no answers but this stupid melodramatic crap? So what if he got angry. Anyone would have their moments. People get mad at Sora for being too friendly and cheerful but if he gets ticked off he's suddenly a murderer of a bunch of -innocent- *cough* people that are the ones messing with him. Give it a break.
He hates Sora because he thinks the Organization was innocent and Sora is a murderer. There's no convincing him otherwise. And for the last time, a guy with -No Heart- could not have walked away from a 15 year old kid calling him out? Sora didn't by any means -trap- Demyx and Demyx turned around and went to fight. That's not cold-blooded murder. I love Demyx and think he's fawesome but he had the ability to walk off and Sora wouldn't have gone after him. Really, I don't get why this has to come up in here too. The Org were messed up and also it's very clear they didn't seem to want their -somebodies- back but wanted to be -whole- in the state they were in. Had they wanted to be better as in back to their somebodies, anyone would have helped them with that. The pseudo Kingdom Hearts, using Sora and Roxas to put the Hearts where -they- wanted them, etc was rather not the right idea. Nor was attacking Beast, letting Heartless run amuck for Sora to draw out and have to kill to donate to their fake KH, and this harmed many people obviously and only continued to -add- to the number of Nobodies as well. The Org plan was flawed and selfish. Sora didn't get let in on what was going on for a long time and I don't know anyone who would be as -NICE- as he was about it. Really, I feel sympathy for the Org, but certainly their methods were wrong to dealing with their conditions and they had no right to put others in danger, make more Nobodies and Heartless, or use Sora and his friends to get what they wanted when if it wasn't an -evil- task, Sora would have just done it himself if asked. Anyone else would have said 'screw this crap' long ago and been after the Org like they were a bad habit. Sora was not heartless or cruel about it. They were the ones with the conspiracy. Whether they were trying something semi-decent or not, their methods were what boned them. Not Sora.
Use 0 cards to defeat Marluxia and the battle is pretty simple. Otherwise I'd suggest don't use sleights on Marluxia redux. Card break his petal bullet (the 3 petals that go above you) at the beginning of it. For his quake attack do Hurt, Dodge or Card Break and it's not too hard to get by. He charges at times till card break...do a card break as dodge roll won't even evade this. He keeps going if you don't do it. Make sure to get up on the scarf to attack Marluxia when the mech is backwards and he's trying the petal bullet thing again. Pretty much the trick to winning Marluxia is to attack and card break often, shifting between the two. A couple other things I've found that work...using the Vexen card. Try having 1000 CP, make sure of course you equip Hi-potions, megether or megapotions, using around 3 Level 7 Healing cards or toss in Tinkerbell. 9,8 and 7 Keyblades. Good luck!
Yeah, Riku Replica was the only one that actually killed me in the game and Hades, I somehow lucked out on when I was low on life. Everyone else I pretty much waltzed through as it was just figuring out the best tactics to use on the foes and often opposite elements was key and also some good ol just dodge rolling and beating the tar out of stuff.
And that's why Riku is useful...or at times Goofy. lol I found it awfully weird to start thinking of Goofy as the intellectual of the group both in CoM and in Kh2.
He isn't 'stupid' to me. Just he has a low perception of what is going on around him except to perceiving something that is in someone's heart. He's friendly and amiable, but not keen on noticing things like Ping was a girl. I do think he was just lost in a lot of ways by being messed with and seeing new things. I mostly laughed at the 'dumb' moments and in a way find it refreshing because it just cracks me up. I think the funniest thing of Sora's blunders was after unlocking the underdrome, Auron says 'someone' did it and Sora inquires who would do something like that... it was just humorous. I do think they should have made him perhaps 13 instead when they began KH since he does act young for his age, but I can deal with it. It's nice to not have the typical FF brooding main character for a change. And ICSP, can you chill on the Sora murdered the Org crap? He's a -nice- person. Imagine if someone like Cloud or any of the FF main characters were in Sora's place. The Org would have been over a lot sooner or have been sought to kill with no chance of redemption no matter what had someone like Squall, Cloud, etc been the main character. They didn't need to put him in the situation in the first place. As much as I can feel bad for some members of the Org, really, they played him and his friends and lost. Let's try to keep just one thread devoid of the 'Sora is a murderer' deal. He's about the nicest hero around in any Square game, even if he isn't the most perceptive. He's also one of the youngest Square lead characters.
I would say that since your friend is a strong willed person and wants to handle things on her own, she should be able to. However, being a friend also means maybe giving her some advice like telling her how to deal with it without getting herself in a crapload of trouble. If he calls her a b or something else, tell her to shrug it off as she can and blow him off as much as she can because bullies thrive on attention and he gets a reaction out of her so he insists on continuing the charade. If she barely gives him a reaction, using that willpower in a conductive way instead to blow him off he might get the hint. Also, she could just spring a question on him like 'why are you bothering to do this? What's in it for you when we could be friends instead? What's your problem with me?" If she's got a strong will, putting it to good use may throw him off guard and get him thinking instead of her going at him and possibly getting herself in trouble. Despite the suggestions above...don't have her 'slap him silly' etc. That just is lame and the 'girly' approach to the situation and if she has a willpower, as you said, she can get out of this by outsmarting him instead unless he actually does hit her.
Sora was standing there when Cloud and Sephiroth faced off. Also, Sephiroth being a person of darkness and an FF7 cameo, we don't know much to him. When Sephiroth though and Cloud face off, Sora is there in the area so the theory would still hold plausible. In the end though, I ponder if Nomura really thought it out so well at points or if it's just meant to be like this and make us wonder.
