Hmm, honestly I don't know. Aging is not just about cell degradation but also the fact that after a while the body stops cell growth to replace those that fade away. Some scientists have even said aging can be looked at as a disease. If we were able to keep cells reproducing and all, we may be able to extend life for quite a long time. Of course, this would have an impact on society as people would not die out by aging so a lot would have to change in that way but that's probably for another discussion. I do not know if it could be done to the point that we'd be 'immortal' but I do think we could enhance the life expectancy quite a bit if scientists could figure out a way to have continual cell growth going on.

OOC: I was gone for a couple days because my electricity went on the fritz here and had to be fixed. I don't really agree with you that Sora was OOC at all considering he was called a liar and yelled at. In a way I'd think more that ICSP was using his lawyer to go at Sora instead but eh, your POV. Any way, I couldn't answer for Sora etc because my power went out but it seems things went on fine without me so I'll just get caught up. Just one thing though, instead of just calling people OOC can't you guys -ask- what is going on? It would be a lot nicer and not make people just want to walk away. I have not called others OOC and could have. I think it's rather rude and maybe if you let a person explain first before hopping on them, it would just be a kinder gesture and you may see they weren't being so ooc after all. =:/

I did get a chuckle out of poor Marluxia's discovery of once he was going to be a woman. lol

    IC

Sora sighed as things raced by him out of control. Perhaps he should not have gotten so angry but the Defense were really trying to set things up and he didn't get it as it was. He had no idea if he should attempt to answer anything now or not since things moved around him and the lawyers were content to argue each point. He didn't get how Xemnas's choice could not allow the decisions against the Organization itself because Larxene was a tool, but Marluxia was responsible for the other people's deaths and the choices they had to make. He didn't get how Xemnas just would let it go but then again...he realized he's a Nobody and the situation passed. He wondered though if Vexen, Zexion and Lexaeus and Axel felt screwed over by this choice. In the end though he supposed Xemnas's decision, even if it messed up Zexion's and Vexen's chances in a way, worked in Axel's favor too because he couldn't be charged for anything against the Organization if Marluxia couldn't who was worse. So, he supposed he should just keep his mouth shut on it.

He decided though to say a couple things. "Guys, I'm not sure what questions I should answer and not answer at this point but I did not lie. I don't like being called a liar, okay? If you want me to answer anything I would but can you be a bit nicer about it and clear? It seems any way you guys are about done so it's probably too late any way."

Harvey frowned. He knew some things would be tossed out but others should have stayed. He decided to go ahead and say a few things.

"Marluxia stated that the power of the Castle Oblivion and Namine were placed in his control. Therefore, anything the Castle Oblivion did to Sora and his friends, I believe Marluxia himself should be held accountable for. This was already brought up in Larxene's trial and it is by his own admission to Vexen that it should stand."

"Now, Sora's memories were affected, but so weren't Donald and Goofy's, so why are they being removed from the charges of mental damage? We cannot verify Jiminy's condition and while people were 'harmed' by not remembering Sora and all that happened a year ago, they seemed to adapt and be alright otherwise so this I can concur with."

"The attempted murder of Sora, I agree can be dropped, because simply we do not know or have any way of proving that despite the fact he wished to use Sora mindlessly under his power, his intentions to kill the Keyblade wielder were obviously far in coming as to a point when he'd no longer be useful, or not at all. However, I do think instead we should add the point of intended imprisonment of Sora instead or something along those lines as he did intend beyond a shadow of a doubt to use Sora under his sway to take over the Organization, under the pretext of a false life and memories or loss of that even."

"Aggravated Assault I concur can be dropped as Marluxia as Larxene was clearly more the aggressor and the charges were dropped from her. Marluxia appeared more to work in the background manipulating scenes and using others. The confrontations between Sora and Marluxia were clearly done by mutual agreement. As for Namine, he never beat on her. He did drag her around and use her as a hostage but that is not aggravated assault."

"Assault of Namine can also be dropped as she was never assaulted. Threats and Coercion should remain."

"Kidnapping Namine and making her a hostage should also remain as these charges are viable. He took Namine by use of his powers and held her hostage as is clear by the evidence presented."

"Child Abuse of Namine and Sora should remain. Sora was forced to act in situations he would not have and also was encouraged to battle his way through things and all under the pretense of a lie. He was made to fight opponents, fight for his life etc. Whether Marluxia did these things direct or not, he encouraged them to include sending Vexen to kill Sora. This would qualify as abuse."

"Apparently we must go by what Xemnas wishes and drop the charges of Conspiracy against the Organization and Xemnas as well as the murder of Vexen. This of course means that it will apply to all members of the Organization that no charges against one another will be accepted. I am concerned that Xemnas should not have this right to make the call alone due to the fact this directly ties in to the choices and deaths of other Organization members and Xemnas was not even present and he gave Marluxia the power to do these decisions. However, if this is his decision and the other Organization members, Lexaeus, Vexen, Axel and Zexion stand by it, then of course, it will be dropped as it was for Larxene."

"Defacement of the Journal and the Charm. I do not see any reasons mentioned that these charges should be dropped. He had control of the Castle Oblivion and Namine and he is getting away with charges simply because he did not show he was directly doing them. The charm was altered as well during their stay. Apparently, it is difficult to charge Marluxia with much simply because he worked behind the scenes but I encourage this court to understand that just because he -did- conceal his own workings, the Castle was very much under his control as he himself stated, so if he gets off on all charges of these natures, it is simply making him less responsible even than Larxene who was clearly doing things under him. If it gets erased, that is up to Judge Erkz, but I think we should be wary of what we just erase from Marluxia's charges as then he gets off exceedingly light, possibly lighter than Larxene did."

"Mental Damage should be altered to that of Sora, Goofy and Donald and Jiminy. They were directly affected and stuck for a year having to get memories fixed that Marluxia ordered altered. I believe Namine's 'mental damage' charge can be placed under Child Abuse, but these 3 others had to endure being forced to miss a whole year of their lives due to what Marluxia forced. It is like being in a coma for a year. I don't see how that was not a punishment those 3 deserved. Also, they were not able to retain their memories of the event to even comprehend why they were stuck as they were and had to be told later. The charge should be altered to reflect this. As for the others affected by this, they seemed to be stable. Just that they did not recall much so I will rescind it otherwise when reflecting everyone Sora knows."

"Imprisoning of Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy. This charge also goes along the lines that it was intended that the Keyblade wielder not even be himself barely to do the bidding of Marluxia. It is an imprisoning of wills as well as leaving them stuck in the Castle Oblivion. Though the Defense brings up a couple points, they have no proof to say that Sora could have just left and been left alone anymore than we have the ability to say he was trapped entirely. The point is he was bound to stay either way because of the allure and trap that Riku and King Mickey were in the castle which Marluxia and others eluded to. A trap does not just have to be bound behind a locked door. Sora promised to find Riku and to help find the King. Of course he was going to do that. Unless the Defense can somehow prove that Marluxia and the other Organization members there under his manipulation did not elude to this factor, I believe Imprisonment should remain."

"Coercion of Sora is a definite. As for Donald and Goofy and Jiminy, these three are his companions and their memories were also being wiped. Do we even know what Marluxia was going to do with the three of them after had he gotten control of Sora? After all, if he had researched Sora, he would know much of Sora's strength comes from his belief in friendship. We can therefore assume either A. he would keep them with Sora in their deluded states, B. he would kill them off or C. he would send them away and they would still be messed up mentally. Therefore, I believe the coercion should remain."

"Sealing Donald and Goofy as cards. This was done in the scene and Marluxia was present there for it. He used the power of the Castle Oblivion which was at his disposal. The cards are not an ability Namine herself had. Therefore it should fall on the responsibility of Marluxia because to be quite frank, there is no one else to put the blame on for any actions the Castle Oblivion had about it. He is at the scene and the event happens. It seems pretty cut and dry to me."

"The last charge of severe mental damage, I will agree to being dropped as all of the participants for the main part seem mentally intact here and able to speak, walk and not have some mental disorder or derangement from the events despite how traumatic they were."

    Threats of Namine
    Kidnapping/Hostage - Namine
    Coercion of Namine
    Child abuse Namine, Sora
Imprisoning Namine, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy
Coercion of Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy
    Conspiracy to Control Sora mentally
Mental Damage Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy
Defacement of private property Jiminy's diary, Sora's charm.
Sealing of Donald and Goofy in cards.

"These are the charges I see that I leave up for debate for the Judge to decide and have presented why I think they should remain there. The others, the Defense has shown that though some may be possible, there is no way to prove such other than by testimony or they are thrown out because of the wishes of the Organization members themselves."

The internet should not be held in the hands of corporations like this to tell customers what they can get and withhold other things. Yes, we pay for 'high speed' internet and I have no problem with that, but to deny people the services the way Virgin is, it's absolute rubbish. I am glad that people are standing against this and hope that it doesn't catch on. There are issues here with Comcast doing some hazy things as well to try to direct things their way. Net neutrality really must be maintained. If we don't fight now, these sorts of things will become worse and common users will be discriminated against online as will small business owners that can't afford to pay these extra fees. Bandwidth may be an issue but these businesses make a ton of money off us all any way. Perhaps they should upgrade as the rest of us do.

Apparently, some people feel it is bullying to have more evolution supporters than it is to de-rep people and hide. Again, I don't see why these people bother to do one thing and yet refuse to post here to make points.

What it comes down to in the end is that to believe in Creationist ideals you must have 'faith' in it. There really is nothing to support it. Also, Ben Stein was paid very well to do the report he did and it really has no bearing.

To believe in God is also a leap of faith. To believe in evolution isn't a leap of faith. There is real solid proof there. Was there a WWII? Of course. Did the weapons in WWII evolve and improve? Definitely. Was that what I'd call Intelligent Design? Yes, because humans clearly raised our standards of weapons, nuclear power etc. There was no one else to say that did that. It's the same that Mount Rushmore exists because humans who are long dead made it. There are caves in France and other countries that show Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon life as well as early burials by them from over 35k years ago. Did they design tools to use and wear furs of animals? Yes. This can be said to be 'Intelligent Design'. The problem right now with Intelligent Design is that even the people who are backing it can't show how it works. There's a concept, an idea...but then it goes cold. Evolution does not do this at all, but common people just don't see that by how they are taught because teachers aren't permitted to go into it.

However, I do not feel you have to be anti-Christian to support Evolution and see how it works. It is very fascinating and 'faith' doesn't have to be deterred just because you get to marvel in how things work and get a sneak peek into the past to watch how things have evolved. They aren't perfect and that is part of the wonder of it all.

In a way it is very hard to debate about Creationism because it declares something in black and white and is a matter of faith. I am glad that those Creationist supporters did come forward and say things here. At least you will and perhaps it is just not something to be debated on that level. This is the first time we've had people come out and utterly go for blows behind the scenes though and I don't think Creationist supporters or Evolution supporters should take the fall for it behind the scenes. If it can't be debated, as I said, why not instead don't we ask questions for better understandings of each and discuss it? This means to expand so that all three sides are comprehended more by each of us and we can have a friendly discussion on what they -are- instead of saying 'I believe' end of story. If that can't be done, the passive aggressive people that want their way will win because what's the point of sitting around waiting for idiots to just keep targeting people when all that is being asked is shared knowledge? Very frustrating.

So, those who would like to actually TALK about what all 3 mean, maybe let's stick around, and those who don't, stop the passive aggressive bully stances please. This has gone on far enough. This is a -debate- section and this is hardly as nasty as it could be. Let us -talk-. That shouldn't be so much to ask.

OOC: I was hoping since the pokemon had the floor he would do it heh. If he doesn't I will when I get back from classes with Harvey. Though of course, the Judge could just see it and call it out himself too.

Riku scowled. This was utter bullcrap. There was no reason that each witness had to be made to feel like they were on trial or mocked like that. The Defense seemed more willing to make things up instead of actually talking to the witnesses. He rolled his eyes. Sora had taken enough and stood his ground. Now they had to wait to see what the Judge or anyone was going to do about it. "At this point, they don't need witnesses to -prove- the defense of their clients or anything. They can just say whatever they want to and make it sound good. Why are we even here? Seems that the Offense and Defense could fight this out and skew it how they want and no one even needs us." He was starting to get very annoyed.

OOC: Uh..holy crap guys... That's totally out of order and nutsos. This is wrong on so many levels but ah well.

Sora frowned and looked at Xelax. "How am I supposed to be 'Objected'?? And perjury? I didn't lie. You two are really something! You put me out here as the lawyer and then get mad when the Offense lawyer hops in after calling an Objection on me. Then you mock my intelligence. Okay..I'm not the smartest person out there but really, you two are just going too far. If anything I don't see why you two are even allowed to do this and try to set people up in this way. It's exactly what Marluxia did."

"He manipulated ALL of the events that happened there. Whether you want to believe it or not, everyone's, to include the Org's, Riku's, and me and my friends' actions to include Namine too, were all done because of either having to go along with what he wanted or to try to counter it in order to survive. Would you abandon friends to a possible fate of doom because of people like him acting all weird and threatening? Would you stand by and do nothing while he's causing a coup to unseat the leader of the Organization and kill off supporters of Xemnas? Larxene was a puppet he knew he could control and he LET her use people and abuse them and taunt at her desire. He did not care what was done as long as it worked out for his plans. How can you even say otherwise? Maybe you two should be put on the spot for your beliefs because you aren't even defending the Organization when you defend that guy and try to make the others and me all look stupid. Everyone was a tool to him. I'd have been a lifeless drone tool to him and that is the truth and if you think that doesn't leave you with some mental scarring, you have issues. Stop trying to pin the blame for Marluxia's actions on everyone else. He knew totally what was going on and if he didn't do it direct, it had his stamp of approval."

Sora looked at the Judge. "I didn't think in court these kinds of things happened where lawyers can pretty well insult, charge you with perjury and object to things with no grounds at all. I am a witness and was forced as it is to go through all these charges things and like I'm supposed to know it all. Then when I'm defended because of the obvious bullying the Offense gets objected too I am not a lawyer and I am not understanding all this extra stuff they are even saying half the time. Please if you could, make it so they aren't allowed to do this because all they are doing is trying to put any witness they can on trial instead of giving anyone an understanding of the person they are trying to protect. There is no way Marluxia is justified in what he did. I'm not going to be charged with 'you could have done something else' when me and my friends were stuck and made to do this on false hopes and meanwhile he was using me to try to kill off someone I didn't even know. I actually felt bad for Xemnas once I met him and saw he didn't even remember what it was like to have good positive feelings in his Heart. Marluxia is not a good man and what I said was true to what I know. I don't get why the Defense is out for everyone else's blood. Please, help here, your Honor, because this just isn't fair at all and while I can't stand Marluxia and think he's a coward that uses others to hide his own involvement and hides behind others, I think he should get a fair trial but it isn't going to happen when we are all who are here to be fair are put on trial with him. We didn't all come up with master schemes to harm people. He did."

"One last point since I was put here as a lawyer somehow. I think that Xemnas should NOT be able to decide the fate of Marluxia with charges dropped against crimes against the Organization on him because really, he wasn't even there and Marluxia isn't the same as Larxene. He pretty well is the reason that the other Organization members died there and I don't think he knew the whole story before. I think Xemnas should have a voice and how about asking the Organization members who died there what they think? They died because of his coup and Larxene was just his sidekick. She got off on writing some essay. He though condoned her acts and forced the whole situation on everyone there. If he gets off so light, I certainly will have no faith in the justice system. He may not have been the one to -do- all the crimes but he was behind them all practically, or motivated others to do them because they felt they had to. I hope you will see that, sir."

Yeah, if you get up a bit earlier and start your day off that way it may help. A good night's rest can clear things up to doing work in the morning a bit easier. If you have some time off now and then too, you may want to try to do some relaxing things as well to remove some of the stress for a while like meditating. This time of year sucks for this stuff. School is very demanding before summer break comes. If you aren't going to quit cheerleading just keep reminding yourself it's only for another week and maybe that will make it go easier on you. I wish you luck and hope things get better for you. Hang in there!

OOC: Really Pika did the same thing you did, ICSP. You both debate very similarly and have a great stubborn streak. =:) I can deal with it even if I will start getting annoyed, but yeah, it's why we need ICly to keep things progressing and the Judge to say 'cut ur crap' when we do get too far out of line. I'm content with the rp, and it is fun too, but I think we are all kind of 'pushing' at times for ooc things. That's where it gets ugly. At least I can actually keep up with this RP. Yes, people say 6 pages of arguing...but at least it happened over a couple/few days.

"Isn't that the job of you guys to do? I don't make the charges and all that fancy stuff. I just tell what happened..."

Sora sighed and scratched his head and then gave this determined face. "I'll try. I don't understand it all though so don't get mad at me if I screw up, please."
    Attempted murder of Sora.
"For this one, I would guess it's when he tried to kill me after the fact that he knew he wasn't going to win but was in denial of it, or something."

Aggravated assault ,Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy
"Uh..the fact he used a fake to take us on and didn't have to is one thing. I dunno though. It was Larxene who attacked us outright. Marluxia was a coward and so we had to go through a fake he planted and then deal with him after. You'd have to ask the lawyers cuz I dunno."

    Assault/threats of Namine
"He held Namine, threatened her that she would never leave the Castle Oblivion if she didn't do what she was supposed to, and also tried to force her to erase my Heart of the memories."

    Kidnapping/Hostage - Namine
"He had kidnapped Namine who was with Riku Replica when we went on to go stop him and used her as a way of trying to make Axel not go after him. He also did it to me too, holding her in front of him. It took Repliku going in through a surprise portal to take him off guard and free Namine."

    Coercion of Namine
"He threatened her that she could never leave and told her that if she wanted company to keep doing what she was. He was the mastermind behind it all and Larxene helped but she was second fiddle to him."

Child abuse Namine, Sora, Repliku, everyone under 18 who Sora knows.
"Umm..considering he kept us there, was messing with our minds and taking advantage of me and others, also putting me in a hostile position in the first place to do his bidding...I guess that counts."

Imprisoning Namine - Under orders of Xemnas
"He held Namine against her will there and let her have no companionship. Of course, he was placed under orders to keep watch of her but he didn't have to make her stuck like that so miserable."

Coercion of Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy
Sora yawned a bit. It was hard to focus on all these big terms and all. "He is the one who ordered Namine to mess with us and directly involved himself in confusing us from the beginning at the Castle Oblivion, taking my friends and trying to make like Riku and the King were there. He's the one who set the whole thing up to have our minds screwed up and to use me."

Conspiracy to murder Xemnas and other top members of the Organization
"Uhh...that was his plan from the beginning by Larxene's way she said it. They had it all planned and Axel ruined it. So, yeah, that would be the time."

    Murder of Vexen by Order/Proxy
"He obviously ordered Axel to do the murder and he was killed outside the image of the Twilight Town mansion."

    Conspiracy to Control Sora mentally
"As said, he had that planned obviously from the beginning when he saw it as an advantage to take out Xemnas. He was doing his plans all along through while I was there or having others do it for him."

Mental Damage, Namine, Everyone Sora knows.
"His plan caused Namine a lot of pain and she is still not proud of what she did. He also affected the memories of anyone I knew on those worlds like Radiant Gardens when I went a year later. She had to work hard to fix things as did Riku. Kairi didn't even remember me. It was some interesting explaining to do because I didn't get why at first."

    Imprisoning Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy
"From the moment we were at the Castle Oblivion, the doors shut and we could not leave. We were also encouraged to go on because King Mickey and Riku were there and we were worried about them so we couldn't just leave if we didn't know how they were either. As we went on through, things became so confusing it was all we could do to keep focused was try to remember why we were even there in the first place."

Defacement of private property Jiminy's diary, Sora's charm.
"Well, we checked the Journal about a quarter of our way in I think and it was totally empty. All the things we did that Jiminy had logged were gone. Even after I got my memories back and awoke, the only thing in the Journal was 'thank Namine' which is because she helped fix things and we'd forget all about it because of my choice. As for the charm...it was a gift from Kairi but Larxene changed it and it made me start forgetting Kairi more, and Marluxia was behind it so that as long as I thought Namine was the girl I knew in the past, I'd be more easy to control."

Sealing of Donald and Goofy in cards.
"He did this right in front of us early on. He said I had to find the cards as I said before."

Severe mental damage, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy, Repliku
"Well, this plan of his took a whole year to fix you know for all of us. Repliku was really hurt by it and died. He could have been a whole other type of person had Marluxia and Larxene not used him for this plan. The rest of us had to deal with a whole year of our lives gone and we had to recount our things that happened as we traveled when we woke up. Marluxia is a really bad person and he hid behind Namine and really all things considered, probably hid behind Larxene too if you think about it since she was more up front. He used people and intended to use me and it doesn't really feel good to know someone would just do something like that and give you no chance of choice at all."

Sora stopped himself before adding a few good comments about how much of a loser he really thought Marluxia was. Out of all of the Organization members, Marluxia was the one who really made him angry and he thought of the guy as nothing but a coward manipulator who also happened to be a megalomaniac. But it wasn't right to say that about someone so he bit down the anger he had. Maybe, after all, there was some good in the guy. Sora wasn't sure he could find it though.

"I don't get all this legal stuff so if the guys over there had their own reasons from what was said, ask them. I tried my best to help."

Sorry to hear you are going through all of this. It is a rough decision to choose to quit something that you've been a part in like that. If you don't want to quit though, try to hang on. However, maybe some of your stress also comes from this boyfriend issue and friend issues. If those are going bad, that may be an area to ponder trying to fix because if there's so much drama, it makes it harder to get things done you need to. Maybe you can tell your friends you are under a lot of stress and have things you need to do to try to keep your grades up.

It is coming to the end of the year so teachers always dump a ton of stuff on students before finals come up. It sucks, but it's just the way it seems to work. What do you feel is the -main- culprit of you not getting things done or not having time? If it is the cheerleading, perhaps that is what you do in fact need to pull back from. If it is other things like social things with friends and the boyfriend giving you a hard time, then I'd say even if you quit cheerleading, this might not help you because that stress would be there. I hope things get better for you. You are a nice person and don't deserve all this stress.

I do my homework while posting here too. hehe. It's like just the right amount of distraction I need so that I don't become totally bored with the work.

Your point on adoption is a very good one. People really are in the dark about kids that are bounced from foster home to foster home or in orphanages. There are a ton of kids out there that no one seems to want to take on unless they can get government money to watch them as with the foster care program. Also, the system is really not well designed at all. You have to meet such stringent requirements to adopt a kid and people only want 'babies' most of the time. These babies obviously are not all adopted either. I hear so many people who have blinders on say 'there are great people out there desperate to adopt kids' and I keep asking them to prove to me where they are for the tons of kids out there that are in non-stable lives and could desperately want a real home. Many of these kids end up in Juvenile Detention homes. Great place for a kid to end up after being bounced around all his/her life.

Good point, DPWolf. It almost feels as though people are being 'threatened' to not debate this issue because some people are going and striking at us through dereps but you know what? I think that we -can- have an intelligent discussion and debate and grow more by fighting it and keeping things moving. These are bullying tactics instead of debating in the debate section and I think we should not just back away, regardless of the fact that a person supports Creationism, Intelligent Design or Evolution. This is what the debate section is for and I think we should all stand up for it instead of letting some people ruin it. So, having said that...

Other such proofs of evolution would be that we are not a perfect design, nor is any animal or plant. If we think about it, how many people are born with defects? How many animals as well? Eyes are often a Creationist's argument but how many humans and animals are born blind by the balance being off or we are near or far sighted...have astigmatism etc. Heart issues plague people and animals. We are not so 'perfect' in design. However, we have those of us who can pass on our genes and continue to survive, keeping humanity alive. Others of animals, plants and humans cannot endure even with special help. Even our very planet evolves and alters through time and though we can now monitor things, many we can explain why they are going on, but it doesn't look like any 'hand' is behind it. If people believe it, we move into that phase that 'God intended it' and then comes the argument between Christians themselves over whether God caused things like Hurricane Katrina. I personally don't like how this works to scar Christians, let alone the rest of us.

For all that we are considered so special, every species of animal, plant, microbe etc has flaws and if something were intelligently behind it all, wouldn't that being make us not so damaged? Genetics in themselves and also environment seem a lot more sound to me as a reasoning for things than someone put me on this earth above that.

Intelligent Design is a tough thing to argue, far more than Creationism. Creationism I can utterly dispute and ruin and have done so in college debates. However, even Intelligent Design can be disarmed when I just look around at all of the genetic 'flaws' we are passed down with mental and physical ailments and it's just seen in every aspect of life; not just humans here. Even viruses and bacteria adapt to continue to bring down numbers of animals and plants. The Black Plague still exists. We have the avian flu which is a modified virus and let's not forget about how staph keeps mutating and can endure even a week or two outside a body on a counter top. These aren't intelligently designed. They mutate and change.

So while there are many questions pertaining to evolution, answers are out there in more abundance. Unfortunately, I think the main reason students don't get taught evolution properly and adults that do not go to college have a hard time also grasping it is the 'big terms' scientists use and that it's not yet explained in simple terms to everyone else. It is understandable but really I would not have such a grasp on it as I do had I not chosen the field I am in at college and also researched on my own examining Creationism, Intelligent Design and Evolution. It takes a lot of hours of internet and book reading time to translate it all to be comprehended and I don't blame some people for getting frustrated. I also think many school boards do not allow evolution to be taught right so that kids grasp it as they really seek to stick Creationism in there by force of leaving people without enough answers. Evolution, since Darwin's introduction of it, has had nasty connotations attached to it that are unmerited. People still even have fears that it is the reason that Hitler and the Nazis were able to murder millions of people because of 'race' purity when Darwin did not even use 'Natural Selection' when pertaining to humans because let's face it...humans do things to often rise above nature and our social behavior itself propels us. We've all studied history and it can be noted that anything can be turned around in the eyes of fascists to be made into something to support their awful regimes. Religion had more than its fair share too.

I sidetrack the issue here somewhat, but the conspiracy to teach people wrongfully about Evolution and to make it harder to research where someone has to spend all the hours such as I did makes me kind of annoyed at the school boards, corporations and other groups. I may make a thread perhaps or we can do it in here if people are interested at all, to talk about what Evolution really means. Heck, we can also explain out what Creationism and Intelligent Design are since I've studied them and I'm sure others have to. I don't think people have to give up religious faith to understand things, as some people try to make others fear. I work with and learn from scientists who are Christian that are believers also in Evolution. There's so much material out there and it does grow tiresome to hear how 'incomplete' it is when though it doesn't explain it -all-, it is a lot more detailed than Creationists want us regular people to know. I pay for learning it. Anywhoo, another long rant from me so I'll move along now.

I can't believe this thread hasn't disappeared yet amidst the sea of others. Nice to see so many people respond lol. Seeing as I cannot seem to shrink my posts dramatically because it's genetically in my nature (my excuse as of now) those of you who enjoy the long posts win.

If the long posts annoy some people but they want to know what is going on, I wouldn't take it as an insult if you guys just ask for the abbreviated summary of what I was trying to say too. You guys are great. I also enjoy reading many of your posts or I probably wouldn't write essays under them. lol

Yeah...you have a point. I did explain that in a longer post than most would have. I tried!

Thanks! And yeah...about that transvestite thing, I think I'm over that phase now. Sorry!

I do too! Coco's posts are great. Can't complain about chocolaty goodness. Also, I don't have Rosey's disease of confetti...I probably just stole some of her confetti. Shhh. >.>

I like longer posts which explain things out in sections where there is a purpose for them. I agree that when I see a sentence or two from someone over a topic that has so many possibilities to be explained and it ends with 'Lolz, I don't agree!' or 'That's how it goes!' etc is so non-informative and only tells you a person sides with one thing or doesn't but you have no idea why. I thank you for the compliment. Sometimes I think people think I'm snotty or something and it's not true. I just am a thinker sort of person that analyzes things a lot and I like to discuss them. I do feel bad I bore some people out with it, because that's not the intent. You guys who read them and like them make my day. =:)

You bring up a good point that yes girls used to have babies (and sometimes still do) at very young ages and they were expected to but at the same time human life expectancies were half of what they are today and women received barely any if at all of education. They were married off from 13 to 18 and a woman was considered an 'old maid' in her twenties. Girls had no future but to be housewives or courtisans/concubines or some form of sexual entertainment, servants or eye candy. Before that they were the 'gatherers' of hunter and gatherer groups because they had to carry children and tend to family needs. Males also get more education as at one time it was a costly thing to send a boy to school and they had rudimentary education at best in their time if their parents were not wealthy enough to dish over things and they worked the fields or other jobs that were considered critical to societies and yet they were peasants. If a guy went around sleeping with women and having babies he and the woman were punished or forced to wed. Women also had dowries where (and in some places still do) where a man either paid the family to marry the girl or the girl's family pays a man to marry her.

Life was just different. Women do a lot more now and hold roles in many places in the work force, community, etc. They get educations and such so while I agree with you that it isn't 'gross' as some people are saying, it simply isn't logical unless the housewife role is all a girl wants out of life and she wants to be dependent on some guy that can dash off whenever or owe the family and hope they care. In the end, it just does hold up teenagers from getting potentially more than previously experienced in years passed. So no, it isn't disgusting and I agree with you there, but I do think that due to the negatives it can cause it's one of those things I'd have to say people should hold off on. However, if teenage pregnancy happens, well, it just does and if the parents are good about it, then I commend them.

lol, it does seem that way that many people get a lot more rep hanging out here than going to the places I do. I am grateful for what I get. You guys who hang out here mostly probably also get more bad rep too so it probably balances out in some way. It is nice though to come hang here now and then. I seldom have time with my craptastic schedule.

Hints on writing longer...I'd say that writing stories is a good way to expand writing skill or just pick some topic that annoys you such as some politician or some issue such as pro choice vs pro life etc and write a rant on it, picking out everything you can that gets on your nerves.

I will -try- to make them more condensed as I can because I do understand it can be a pain to read long posts. As I said, the only reason I do it is because I like to be complete and all in sections where there is debate or people are confused. I realize though it doesn't benefit everyone; especially if they can't sit through reading it and get bored. So, it's kind of a thing of either people like them or don't and it's something for me to work on. I do appreciate the constructive criticism over it.
