I'd rather have the game in English so I can understand everything clearly and move through the game easier. However, as long as I can get subtitles really, I am fine. I watch anime that way all the time and can prefer the Japanese voices and also know the game won't be totally ruined by American censorship. Someday we'll get the games the same but with just translations, and not this reduced game quality.
Yes, trees actually do have life expectancies in a way. The taller more full trees can live for 100s of years and then do die out whether by human intervention or not. It varies on the type of tree for how long it may be expected to live for. Smaller more decorative trees tend to have a lifespan of 20 to 30 years. Red maples trees live around 80-250 years. American Chestnut trees live around 100-300 years. Trees don't have necessarily straight time durations like humans and animals do, or even many plants. They are very durable, and even if parts of them die off, the tree can yet live. As trees grow older though, they suffer ailments like parts dying off so pests get in them and they can get diseases easier. Safe to say, trees die out because of old age and decay just like many other plants do, but the duration is not stable or set and depends on the type of tree, but also the sturdiness of it and the area it's in. Hope that answers the question for you. It's a good question and one that is hardly ever highlighted on.
Jack and Zexion would be my choices from that list. Zexion is easier to do though so if you are strapped for time and want to get an easier outfit, I'd go with that.
I've used enough forums to basically know general rules like clean language and well, it's not that hard to figure out that like topics go to like forums. I read the rules about a week or two after joining just to acclimate myself with them when I had the time. So I can say 'yes' I read them -after- I joined, but probably not in the time frame that would be appreciated.
I'm thinking of something to do to stir up mischief. What is it?
I'm glad the rumbler controllers are coming back. They had to deal with a lawsuit over it in PS2 or something, but now the controllers are back to normal. I love the rumble control function. It makes the game so much more vibrant and can surprise shock me for a bit when it happens. I won't admit to how many times I've gone 'oh crap!' when it goes off.
You know, Bunterx, that's just a brilliant observation. Even the religion has changed and adapted to times, which would be an evolution of its own. So true. That just earned you rep.
That's cool. I kept hoping sooner or later they'd hit Sleeping Beauty's world and some others that haven't been seen such as Cinderella's and Snow White's. Cinderella's isn't really bleak, but Sleeping Beauty's and Snow White's are. Glad someone is keeping track of this. Can't wait for the game to get out already in English.
That was referring to Riku used the Darkness as Riku says himself, he suppressed the Darkness in his heart, and released it to take Roxas down without doing more harm to either of them. He became trapped in the form of Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless but he again also was 'traveling the path of Twilight to the Dawn'. This meant if you think about it, Riku would have to deal with the Darkness left in his Heart, going more to dark (night) and then back to the day. Riku never lost his heart. He had it the entire time. When he says Riku was -lost to Darkness- he's referring to the fact that Riku himself, wholly allowed himself to do what he needed to and was trapped in Darkness's body, Xehanort's Heartless. It doesn't mean Riku tossed himself into Darkness like the Org people did. He was in total control of Xehanort Heartless's form. He was there. Also, if you look at Cloud's face structure and Sephiroth's they are a lot alike. Cloud is just a lot shorter than Sephiroth but even their muscle build is similar despite the size difference. Best way to see this really is looking at Advent Children pictures of them both and try to imagine them without hair. Their eyes are a different color, but I believe also the same shape. However, as someone pointed out, if they are going -at all- off of FF7, Sephiroth was alive well before Cloud. So there's no way he could be a Nobody of Cloud. However, I really don't think KH even wanted to delve that far as to make a reason about the characters, because they are not the focus of the story. Also, someone said Roxas didn't look like Sora...yes he did. The only thing different was his hair that was a bit less spiky and blonde instead of brunette. Namine also had the exact same face as Kairi and body structure, though Kairi looked a bit older as did Sora. And Riku's heart is too weak to make a Nobody? Even Xehanort's Heartless told Riku his heart was weak at the moment he confronted Sora. He did not say it was weaker all the time. I'd say after all Riku went through he has a very powerful Heart. After all, he was the initial intended Keyblade wielder to begin with and after a year of harrowing self improvement and researching to get things set straight and fix his mistakes in himself, he earned himself a new Keyblade, and could make a pseudo-Keyblade for Kairi to boot, before he got Way to the Dawn. He could have easily despaired after a year and many people would have. I don't see how anyone could really miss that, but then again, Riku's doings were so shaded behind what everyone else did, yeah, I take that back. Nomura really should have done more with that character instead of concealing him so much.
This is why we do not find good people to debate from the Creationist side of things. There are misspellings, insults, and a lack of information on what Evolution even is, but boy do the assumptions run. I hate to use this as an example, but perhaps you'd like to talk civilly, explain your side rationally, and also do some research. That way we could debate this in a much more formal pattern. The only people I see do this are the extremist Christians that won't even -touch- a book on Evolution and make a stink about it when it is even slightly brought up in schools. Before an argument can be done, a debate be proper etc, it is usually a good thing to actually research BOTH sides of the coin, rather than staring at one in bright light for so long you go blind. That message is for Creationism and Evolution supporters. It seems though, one side doesn't as much need to be told this. In actuality, your statement of we look/act like gorillas and chimps is amusing. We do share some common similarities to them, and this includes you. You might just be surprised at the similarities between especially humans and chimps, as well as bonobos. Chimps can do some light tool work, they have structured societies, they mourn their dead, they will now and then kill and eat meat, though usually they are vegetarians. They also can be taught to about the equivalent intelligence of a human 2-3 year old when in captivity, learning to communicate, follow directions and they have feelings that are broader than that often noted in the animal kingdom. Bonobos can spend considerable time walking bipedal. The manual dexterity of an ape's hand is similar to our own. However, this does not mean we -are- chimpanzees or gorillas. It means we came from a species of ape that evolved. All animals and plants evolve. It is a process that can occur quickly through a mutation, or slowly over a period of millions of years. The human evolution line is just one of trillions of evolutionary studies which cover aquatic life, insects, birds, mammals, lizards, flora and fauna etc. Look up nearly any animal and you can see records of the earliest findings in science journals or heck, even Wikipedia. The point here I try to make is that there is nothing wrong with supporting one side or the other in a debate, but it truly does help to actually have information on both sides of the fence instead of merely one. That way we can all talk about it. I hold nothing against those that wish to believe in Creationism. I have seen some good posts by some and they are fine. However...then I see posts like this which just shows you haven't bothered to look into it at all. If you aren't researching the topic and are just going with what you -were told- by someone else, and make nasty comments, it makes all people on that side look ridiculous. It just solidifies the view that there -is- no proof because the words come from someone who -sounds- very uneducated, whether it's true or not. The post that followed this one was just fine. So please don't think I mean this to 'all Creationism supporters' because I do not. I just wish more would respond as that person that followed did, and some others had.
I voted Jasmine because out of all the Princesses, she really does kick the most butt. In the cartoon of Aladdin, she has fought and is pretty tough, and can even use a scimitar. If she had a keyblade, she'd whomp all the others. She's also the most physically fit and doesn't run like, dare I say it sadly, a girl that prances, as the others do. Kairi would have been my second choice, but she has work to do.
It could have been a set up from Xemnas as others mentioned because putting Marluxia in charge would -obviously- make Vexen annoyed and stir things since he was so high-strung about his ranking compared to others. Also, Vexen did approach Zexion about Xemnas, trying to get information, and Zexion really wanted no part in it, but perhaps someone else in the Org caught wind of that. Marluxia was pompous and so easy to put in place, and he too was investigating things and knew about some stuff with Xemnas too and wanted to take him out. So in the end, putting the two sides against each other just by putting arrogant Marluxia in charge and placing Axel there who would do his -mission- regardless, was important. Axel didn't just kill Vexen because Marluxia ordered it, but also because Vexen was going to narc on Org plans pertaining to Roxas to Sora. Axel also lived through that whole thing, being the only Org survivor. I'm sure with what he did, Xemnas would have been really mad at him for well, assisting in sending people pretty well to their demises or instigating them. So it makes sense Xemnas might have planned it. It also makes sense why Axel felt so trapped in KH2 and fearful of leaving, while Roxas, being naive to it all, wasn't so worried. The other thing could be that Marluxia was put in charge so that those on missions such as Xigbar, Saix, Luxord etc were doing their thing, but those who remained behind could squabble amongst themselves and not be able to organize anything much, such as a betrayal. If you put someone in charge others don't like, sometimes they just bicker and all, but you aren't going to really go against the head honcho if you have this bozo in your way. It's something corporations do often. I seriously and sincerely doubt he put Marluxia in charge having any real faith in petal man. He was just a tool as were the others. Sadly I think Lexaeus and Zexion though got caught up in that and probably weren't meant to unless they were giving Xemnas a hard time.
I would imagine Larxene wore a sort of sports bra and the men may have had tank tops, but maybe not either. A weird thing to note about Riku, since someone brought him up, is that when he's wearing the Org cloak, you don't see his clothes underneath, like they are magically not there. His shirt would have shown through as it was higher than where his zipper on the Org cloak went to at his chest. Also, his pants too and shoes were there whereas he was wearing the boots before. So if they do have clothes under, either Riku did something unique again that we don't get, since Nomura never explains what Riku does...or the Org Cloak itself is what gives the Org the other clothing as well through some magical means.
I liked Axel's weapons, the Chakram, because they are interesting and well, how he used them made them versatile. I'm used to seeing chakram be cheesy like the one that Xena has. Those things were really cool. I thought all the Org weapons were great but those stood out to me most as in I'd want them.
Riku would waste the others. Technically Sora and Riku and interchangeably Roxas can be added too, are the 3 most powerful characters in the game that can go back and forth with winning and losing. Riku just sadly gets shadowed but he still is very powerful with or without Darkness abilities.
Out of the list: I would have picked 'other' but decided not to. Riku Sora King Mickey
I don't know why people keep trying to say Riku has a Nobody. He doesn't. He never gave in -totally- to Darkness and was never a Heartless. He was tossed into Darkness unwillingly but survived in spirit form and his body was returned to him after Xehanort/Ansem's Heartless was booted out. That's why Riku had to remain in Darkness and then later confront Xehanort's Heartless. His whole spirit, mind, soul etc were cast out of his body so he could not have possibly had a Nobody unless there's something weird going on. Also, Sephiroth could be fought well before Riku agreed to let Xehanort's Heartless have his form to save Kairi. There's no connection between Riku and Sephiroth at all. Sephiroth -may- be Cloud's Nobody...or Heartless, perhaps in the KH storyline but we may never know since the FF canon characters really for the most part are just fillers for fun and their story lines aren't that explained or important. They are more meant to be amusing and to see what KH does with the characters, more than work on any actual solid plots explaining everything about them.
Yes, you are right, it does look between the two. Good eye. That also helps support some theories I have on it and the creators of the symbols.
Hmm, that picture does look like it might be Riku's shadow or maybe Aqua's since their hair is so similar. It does look like the org cloak, though the arms are a bit funny for it, so maybe it is Riku. That'd be interesting heh. Also, I'm curious about the armband that Ven is wearing and why it resembles Roxas's though not -exactly- the same. Starting to wonder if somehow Ven didn't merge souls or something weird with Sora and that's why Roxas looks so much like him but eh, too much thought and not enough info yet.
OOC: Sorry guys, these Rps just move too fast for me and my work schedule that conflicts when most are here, so to be fair, going to just give Riku back and not rp. It was a lot of fun and stuff. Sorry again. I just don't want to play catch up or slow others down. Be well. ~peace~
