I assumed he was talking about Axel when he said that. Since Axel chose to help Sora and cease in trying to free Roxas.

Xaldin was pretty tough. He didn't kill me but he was someone I had to pay a lot of attention to and be aware of not letting myself get caught in corners. I can see why they had Mickey show up there as one of the bosses that you'd get help on, even though he didn't kill me. I had to play again and die so I could get Mickey to just see what the mouse would do. I have to agree that Demyx seemed harder in a way because of the time limit thing.

I see what you mean there. I guess since he wore a brown cloak in two scenes really, and in KH:FM you can fight Xemnas who is in the Org cloak, they weren't to be connected really. Because the brown cloaked guy appeared to Sora and then later to Riku and told Riku to connect to him, I assumed both occurrences were from Xehanort's Heartless.

I don't think Namine knew anything about Ven really. However, I do think that some of the Org did know things before they became Nobodies. Ansem makes a comment that Even (Vexen) was very interested in his new apprentice Xehanort. Xigbar also was said by Nomura to be more important than people thought so I expect we'll learn more about him too, and he may have known Ven too.

It is a possible theory. There has to be some reason why Terra's eyes change like that and I do not discount that he has some relation to Xemnas and the Xehanort in KH1-KH2. There are a couple problems with the theory such as BBS is said to end 10 years prior to KH1 and if so, Ansem saying he had healed up Xehanort 'some years ago' presents a bit of a problem, as someone pointed out to me. It could be that Terra falls earlier in battle than Aqua or Ven do, but I suppose we have to see how it works out.

I do believe though that Xehanort's Heartless is connected to Master Xehanort directly and if it's not him, it's his true apprentice (the guy in the dark armor in the trailer). Xehanort's Heartless is wearing Master Xehanort's clothes etc and seems pretty haughty and know-it-all, and even though he's younger, I theorize that is because of the body he was in that was around that age and he took qualities from it. It's a sound theory so I guess we see if the answers come in to tell us the pieces we are missing.

I am still not really with this theory that Sora and Ven are brothers or Aqua and Kairi are related. To me, Aqua looks more like a kid between Riku and Kairi, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they are related really in any way because I know it's not possible. Many people continue to say that Ven and Aqua are siblings or parents to Sora and Kairi but I don't see anything supporting it.

Ven = has a similar build to Sora but otherwise doesn't really look like him. Ven's long name means 'loner' but Ven is a name connected with 'air or wind' as is Sora's. Ven and Roxas look alike, so much in fact that their hair is exactly the same style, the voice will be the exact same, and his build is the same. There is no difference I can see at all with Ven and Roxas.

Really though, just because Sora and Ven have similar builds and their names connect doesn't mean much. Terra and Riku as Riku ages are going to have similar builds too. Riku is buff as was Terra, and both are tall but other than that and sharing an 'earth' name, they look nothing alike.

Aqua and Kairi also don't look that much alike. Aqua seems taller than Kairi and at 15, Kairi is near done growing. Aqua's hair also resembles more Riku's in a way. However, again, both tie in together having a 'water' name and being female. Aqua and Ven are also at least 10 years older than Sora and Kairi. Aqua seems to look older than Ven even. That's quite a span for regular parents to have kids really, unless there were siblings between that. It's not impossible but just is pretty irregular that two families on separate worlds would do this act to make a story convenient. Also, how many parents name their kids after the -same- elements? I think the names play a more important role into how the former 3 and the modern day 3 turn out rather than relation really.

If the story really was based on them all being related, I'd be disappointed in Nomura for doing something so A-typical and generic. It's such an overdone theme in so many stories etc that I would hope that Nomura isn't losing his storytelling ability. I'm not a 'fan' person that wants the story to be cheesy. That seems like such a sellout. Nomura usually writes a better story than saying 'here's the older siblings'. I can see more that Ven and Sora -might- be related but Aqua and Kairi, I don't see it really. I don't dismiss it entirely, but I sure hope it is not true. I do think other than the sibling deal, your other mentions of events happening may be probable. Of course, I may be entirely wrong and they may be related, but at this time I'm not seeing it.

Also to mention, Tidus is not Sora's brother. Selphie, Tidus and Wakka are playmates to Sora, Riku and Kairi. They were listed as friends to him in the journal I believe. Also, the FF characters, as someone pointed out, are fill in characters and not so critical to the storyline really.

The one in the dark armor like Riku's Dark form is whom is dubbed 'the apprentice' until we learn more about him. No one is really sure about him but he's one of the people that I could feasibly see as being 'Xehanort' who Ansem found and healed up etc. It's this guy and Terra that seem to be the strongest contenders for being the 'modern' day Xehanort. Both have some reasons as to why they'd take the name given the proper circumstances, and yet lost their memories.

It's fun to theorize but I'm guessing BBS is pretty well going to provide us with the answer. I'm not solid on either of those two above options but they are the two I stick with as they make the most sense to me and link well with what we already know of Kingdom Hearts.

Here, I believe is what you refer to:

'some' years ago doesn't express that many years really. Though yes, if only a 'year' happened to pass before Terra's transformation that is seen in the trailer of him with yellow eyes and his hair seeming to lighten...well yes, that throws a wrench in the theory. BBS ends 10 years prior to KH, and the fall of Radiant Gardens happens 9 years prior. It could be that Terra was injured a couple few years before that. This could also be why the game starts with Terra.

If Xehanort is not Terra, then this leads to some other theories, but nothing else has really come about that seems so fitting. We 'could' go with the theory that Terra had a 'brother' that was taken by Xehanort's Heartless, but I suppose after BBS we'll know for sure. You are right that this is a possible hole that can't be filled yet.

The other thing I had thought of is that possibly the 'apprentice' of Master Xehanort becomes 'Xehanort' later and goes down the same route as mentioned Terra might have, which still ends up about the same in the end with Xemnas not wanting anything to do with it etc. Xemnas was very interested in Roxas and Aqua so it seems to me that there had to be at least some connection. Either Terra or the apprentice guy in the suit like Dark Riku's would make sense to me. Other than those two, I can't think of anyone who's been introduced that could possibly fit the bill.

This is kind of an ongoing debate right now. I believe that Xehanort in KH1 and KH2 who took Ansem's name was really Terra. I think that in BBS, Terra somehow gets Xehanort's spirit within him and that he loses his memories. This is why when Ansem gets him, he has no memories and Ansem finds him to be 'super human' and intelligent but at the same time he says he has some immaturity he relates to age.

I also theorize the reason why Xehanort later changes his name to Ansem is because he can't recall he is 'Terra' but at the same time he knows that the name Xehanort is not right either and that he may have initially said it but it was something now that made him furious. This would prompt him to continue studies of 'his heart' because of what Ansem began, and thus he took the name Ansem to continue those and with because of being connected to the real Master Xehanort that lurked within, he was able to pull Heartless. The Heartless then were interesting enough for him either as Xehanort beginning to take him over or not, to make a machine that would bear the symbol of the Emblem.

This is also why I think Xemnas, which is Ansem switched around, was the Nobody's name instead of Xehanort switched around. Xemnas makes comments about the only emotions he wants to feel are rage, anger etc, all the negative ones, which Sora tries to convince him that a Heart feels more than that. Terra, if BBS is as bad a time as it seems to be so far, would have had some horrible memories, despair and rage.

Also, when Xemnas was freed of Xehanort's Heartless 9 years before KH, it is possibly when Xehanort's Heartless started plaguing Riku bit by bit and where Kairi comes in. Xehanort's Heartless rested within Riku in CoM and Zexion makes a comment that Riku's 'scent' is the same as Xemnas's. I can surmise that if Master Xehanort's Heartless was within Terra and then went to Riku, somehow both were altered to mimic the same scent and Xemnas carried it over too as a Nobody.

However, on the same note, if Xehanort's Heartless were Xemnas's true heart, I would think that Riku would have been -a lot- more important to the game than Sora. He, after all, carried around what Xemnas would have most wanted, right? Instead, the Nobodies wrote Riku off as doomed and fallen because he gave up his true form and they assumed that was the end of him. Saix was genuinely surprised that Riku was even there and had not destroyed himself and Roxas had failed to take him out.

So, where's Terra's/Xemnas's Heart? I believe that was the Enigmatic guy you can fight right before the end final battle. It kind of wraps up the theory alright so far. I do have a couple other ideas on twists for this, but so far this is the main thing that seems to stick.

So, in a way, Xehanort is also a thieved name, though I don't believe the person who used it in KH1-KH2 planned on using it. When he took the name Ansem I think it was a safety survival thing to do more than anything else because he wanted something of a name as 'powerful' to him in a way as Xehanort's name was. He wanted the other name gone.

Actually yeah, I felt pretty bad for Riku Replica too. That's why I have the nick Repliku here. He got screwed over a lot. Namine never even bothered to say sorry to him for messing him up so bad, but was sure nice to Sora. Rep even saved her life from Marluxia and got nothing of a thank you out of it. She also just stood there as Larxene tossed him to the side, not caring. It really made me not respect Namine much. Fabricated heart or not, it seemed that it was real enough to get him to put himself back together and face things.

Also, I think Sora and Riku were sympathetic to him but everyone else did just devalue him. Sora asked him to go with him, and Riku, even though Riku Replica tried to kill him off, was still kind enough to remain there after all that and speak to him and try to offer him some peace. He was really terrified and all when the Org were going to let Namine mess with him in the first place and tried to fight to keep himself as he was. He didn't have a chance and that's why I believe Axel had him pretty well destroy himself. With the way the others regarded him, Xemnas wasn't going to let him live either and it would become a problem later. Also, it couldn't be assured that the Riku Replica knew nothing that Vexen knew of Roxas etc. He would have become a dangerous wild card.

About the only thing nice that happened to him was Riku and Sora were at least somewhat nice to him in the end and showed they cared. Other than that, his life was really wretched. He had Riku's luck, only 10x worse. Roxas's suffering was not near what Repliku's was.

I hear some of your points here about the childishness level of it. I thought it was cute and well, perhaps the last 'youth' based really in friendship etc of the games. KH3 seems like it will be having Riku, Sora and Kairi as older and well, situations change with that. It's going to keep some of the elements of the other three games, and these 3 in between games, but I can see the games try to 'mature' as the 3 do age. All in all, I didn't mind it really, but I do get what you mean.

Some people like Maleficent or Sephiroth are there because people like them. I believe Maleficent also is part of the plot line even if really she seemed to be kind of not as sinister and more mocked in KH2 than in KH. Her importance dwindled though to the might that was the Organization, and I think that was a point of the story in a way; to show that the former Dark Council even were not a real threat to the Org and/or Sora or Riku this time around. So the bigger threat than the Org is going to be even more of a difficult scenario and perhaps Maleficent knows about it to some degree, considering BBS is being played on Sleeping Beauty's world amongst other places, and Maleficent obviously was at Radiant Gardens after it became Hollow Bastion and Xehanort with the other apprentices went to Darkness.

I agree that some of the lines for the actors could be better and well, more like teenagers, but I believe they will work that out more in the upcoming events with KH. We have to remember that Sora was asleep for a year so his mentality would still be off even though he grew up some.

I thought I'd post the complete guide I wrote up for the Jiminy Journal to help people out and for people to respond to. This way some questions could be answered early if a mod might sticky this, and people could see if this would save them some time. It's very long but it is also covering most of the Jiminy Journal. This all was done on Proud Mode and there are severe spoilers within. Also, these aren't the -only- way to do the tasks, but perhaps the easiest. I'm sure others have completed it and used their own easier methods too.
