That's cool to have a day to Steve Irwin in Australia. He really did not just have a positive affect on Australia but the world with his shows on Animal Planet. Even though he was quirky, he was a great guy that showed us that we didn't have to fear wild 'scary' animals but instead respect them and their place in nature. Instead of destroying creatures that are 'harmful' to humans, he helped motivate people into moving the animals to safer territories that would protect them and humans and he was a positive role-model. It's sad he's gone and he certainly left his mark on the world. I hope his most important lessons he taught us carry on through others.
I thought that too. I was so like why is Wii spelled wwiii for a bit there. I thought it was an exaggeration like substituting that for 'wheee' but it had to do with the Wii.
I've sat with some friends and we all pondered what the game would have been like if Riku had gotten the Keyblade instead of Sora from the beginning and well, not fallen to Darkness. Pretty much all of us determined that all of the enemy bosses would have actually had to think more because he's more cognitive and they'd have had to actually try to kill him instead of underestimating him because that's all we could figure out the bosses were doing with Sora. Others brought up the point too that the Org had some serious powers really of the elements and I agree they could have done some more damage but sadly because the game is geared so that nearly any audience can play it of nearly any age, it puts restrictions on how 'serious' they could use those powers. Xigbar could have destroyed Sora by just freezing him in place with gravity instead of bothering to warp around etc. He could have then just shot him to death or whatever. If his element was 'space' maybe he even could have formed a vacuum. Luxord could have just frozen him in place or used some serious time ability since that was supposedly his element. That fight could have also been over before it started. Demyx could have gone for water in the lungs or something. Axel could have roasted Sora to bits by merely adding a top to his circle wall of flame and closing it in. It worked to make the floor lava and the walls of fire could only be gotten out of leaping over. etc etc. They all had some fantastic abilities really which Sora would have had to use his head more in dealing with them. In the end, I propose for the 'thinkers' of us out there, (because we must find -some- logical explanation other than it's a video game when it comes to explaining in the game why) that the Keyblade must also (amongst everything else this amazing key thingie does) protect Sora from certain invasive procedures being done to him because no one has used 'stop' or any kind of internal injury sort of thing on Sora yet. Maybe it 'locks' that option out. So that would mean they have to actually duke it out and brawl for it magically and physically. Also, Madiyasha, good one. Made me laugh =:)
If it is a matter of 'interpretation' as you say, where's this evidence to support it? You also think they are platonic. So where, other than some fanfic that adds more to the story that wasn't there, is there actual evidence to support an interpretation that Sora and Riku are gay for one another? People keep saying they are this way but as of yet I have yet to see anything above fangurl/fanboi 'interpretations' which, I'm sorry, are very skewed if that's what is believed as reality. They can be funny to read and all but taking them seriously...I don't think so. There is no scene in any of the games done that shows anything to say Sora/Riku where as there are quite a few all throughout the games that show Kairi and Sora have some chemistry going on there. Whether it develops into anything remains to be seen, because as we've both agreed, Nomura said none of the relationship pairings are 'canon'.
Right, he said no pairings are canon...why? Because none have 'officially' happened. However, anyone that can't see Kairi and Sora have a budding relationship potential there clearly and that they are pretty much childhood sweethearts ...how can you be more influenced that they are not more 'plausible' future canon than Sora/Riku? I didn't see Sora wanting to dance with Riku or mentioning him as the person 'closest to his Heart' etc. He's always seen as his best friend. Show please where you get the idea that they are more than friends to any degree. Show where they are day dreaming of being with each other, wanting to kiss each other, wanting to do anything other than be the best of friends they are? It'd be far better than saying that just because Sora and Kairi aren't officially dating that Riku/Sora is just as canon. As I said before, there's nothing wrong with playing around and hooking up people in either roleplay games or just for amusement and stuff, but why is it taken seriously? I see nothing really to support it. People could argue more for Axel/Roxas and well, I'd debate that too but it's a harder ground to stand on either way. Riku/Sora seems pretty clear/cut/dry that it is not going to happen but in a lot of fangurl fanfics.

Yeah, I'd like to know that too. There's a lot Riku did and went through that was definitely not explained. It was somewhat difficult to ascertain where Riku was in all of it till I ended the game and then played it again to make certain. Obviously he did learn a lot and figure things out in between all of his dark portaling around to various places and saving Sora and Kairi's butts.
Hmm, I don't know if I think it was a concept. I thought it was an actual deed that they went out there and got the Keyblades. Also, it is weird that Riku had WttD in a way before the Heart deal, but says 'Soul Eater' so I am not sure what was up with that and if it was a mistake or not. I swear in some scenes it was WttD and then in others it was Soul Eater again. That part of the game really confused me with that.
I thought Riku's outfit in KH2 was pretty regular and something I might even wear something close to. I didn't see it as standing out much at all really and could see it as more casual wear than about anyone else's in KH other than what Hayner, Pence and Olette were wearing. Roxas's clothes were not too normal to me considering his pants are really weird and he looks like they are wade drifters or something. However, the rest of Roxas's clothes were regular too. Still...I fail to see why people miss the point in the post which is Roxas and Riku are equal in 'battle' terms or not. Why people like or hate Roxas or Riku isn't really the point at all here and just because someone hates one of them, doesn't mean the person would lose in a battle totally outright. =:/ Even if the person is irritating, they both can be seen to be very good fighters as can Sora, who wasn't even brought up really. Hating on someone doesn't determine the person sucks as a contender.
Hmm..I agree Vexen's voice was annoying. Also, Aerith's and Elizabeth's voices got on my nerves. Aerith's voice was better played by Mandy Moore and I hate saying that but it's true. Also, Captain Jack's voice got to me sometimes. And YES!!! "GET ON THE HYDRA'S BACK!!!" got down right irritating after a while. I wanted to so reflect the barrels back at Phil for that.
Can you explain more on what you mean by 'Gathering' scene? I'm not sure I get what moment you refer to.
Some of what you say in here is really cool and makes a lot of sense. I do see some possible things I'd question though...and I realize I also got lengthy (again) but I'll explain what I mean. Very good theory though. Sora cannot be a reincarnation of Ven. Sora was alive and 4 years old when Ven was on the beach with Terra and they were looking to see the children playing. Usually someone has to die before someone is born to be a reincarnation. However, I do think that Ven somehow joined spirits with Sora and that is why he does show up later as Roxas, albeit with no memory. He might have ended up with Sora's and maybe even Ven's memory if Sora had remained a Heartless for a longer time. This also would to me explain why he had memories of Sora only in dreams really. I think some of what Namine was doing to repair Sora's mind might have had 'bleed over' effects on Roxas as well, so that was probably when DiZ realized that Sora had a Nobody and sent Riku to get Roxas. They could not complete Sora's memories without Roxas and so Sora couldn't awaken until that process was done. Roxas being sent out by Xemnas, along with the other Org members, to gather Heartless was a good point to bring up, as that is probably where many of the Hearts came from in the beginning. In KH1 and KH2, Emblem Heartless (the ones with the symbols on them) always were hit and hearts float up or are released. These are Heartless that were made by 'Ansem's machine' in the basement of the castle in Hollow Bastion. Xehanort released them and sent them out, scattering them to several worlds when the gig was up on what he was doing and the real Ansem caught him. The Shadows, Neo-Shadows and other 'Pureblood' Heartless as the real Ansem called them, are hit and turn to black smoke, not releasing a Heart that floats upwards. The Pureblood Heartless may be originally the darkness of people that gathered up from years before as the tale goes by Kairi's grandmother. I don't think, the way the grandmother spoke, that BBS is soon enough for the Purebloods to have been created, but I could be wrong. It seemed to be something that happened 'long ago' to divide the worlds up. Then again, the Keyblade Wars deal seemed to look much older than merely 10 years ago too, so that's a mystery. I think that Kingdom Hearts was, as you mentioned, the grand Heart of all worlds which were probably at one time one world, as Kairi's grandmother mentioned. The stars seen in the games seemed to be 'worlds' instead of actual stars for some reason too, and as Heartless consumed the worlds, they'd disappear from vision. I am not sure if Xemnas did not create a 'fake' Kingdom Hearts to lure Hearts to in TWTNW but it seemed like it since it was a different color and well...considerably smaller to me at any rate. I do agree though that 'Xehanort' may very well have been the apprentice that was seen in the trailer as things seem to be leading to that more and more and you do bring up some more points leading in that direction. The only other option I see is that Xehanort/Xemnas was Terra and inside Terra was held either the apprentice's or Master Xehanort's Heart which was consumed by Darkness. Right now things do seem to lead to Xehanort/Xemnas having been the apprentice though and the Heartless was possibly either his corrupted Heart or that of Master Xehanort's.
These are interesting theories but I agree with parts but I can find holes in them. 1. Since Kairi's Keyblade and some others in the past without Keychains seemed to be more 'pseudo-keyblades', I don't think Soul Eater would classify for that. It was not capable of unlocking or locking anything. It could defeat Heartless but was clearly not a Keyblade outright. This is why I say it was a 'dormant' Keyblade that probably lost power being used for Darkness, perhaps losing Light by some error in the past during BBS time, or was just changed because of the former wielder being taken to Darkness. 2. Riku did not officially fall to Darkness until he chose it over his friend to help him in his plight. He had a moment of severe weakness and this was all the way near the end of KH at Hollow Bastion. Riku had been given Soul Eater before he went to Traverse Town and met up with Sora there at the beginning of the game. Riku also took the Kingdom Key from Sora but when Sora demanded it back, Riku returned it to him. When Riku 'took it', it appeared in his hand because he was chosen for it. Giving it back to Sora let Sora keep holding it. Therefore, it's pretty safe to say that Maleficent gave Riku Soul Eater but he was not corrupted by Darkness even near enough for the Kingdom Key to deny him the power. Also, he took it again in Hollow Bastion when he was more dark and he lost it there. He however fights yet again with Soul Eater, which has not changed. 3. I think that Maleficent gave him Soul Eater and she may not have known it was once a Keyblade either, but it was a magical weapon. Why though do you think Soul Eater was not the Way to the Dawn that is seen in the trailer? I do agree with the third response you gave that it would have held Darkness. Perhaps though since it is both of Dark and Light, the Keyblade once infused with the Light, since it already had Darkness as Soul Eater, made it WttD. I don't see why there would be two Way to the Dawn Keyblades really. Even Mickey's and Sora's base Keyblades can be told easily apart by their altered coloring. If there are two Way to the Dawns, it just seems pretty odd to me, especially since the colorings are pretty close and not opposite like the two Kingdom Keys are. I could always get surprised though.

1. What do you think Rich and Poor mean? In the material sense, rich and poor mean how much wealth you have and possessions you acquire that are around you. If you are rich, you possess a lot of things and you aren't struggling with money as an issue. In a non-material sense, people use rich or poor to define various things such as personality, vibrancy of something, or even a rich or poor taste. 2. Do you consider yourself rich or poor? I consider myself to be materially okay. I won't say I am rich or poor. I could have less possessions and income. I could have more. Of course there are times I definitely want more. =:) In a non-material sense, I consider myself to be mostly at peace and to have a middle ground too. I'm not very extreme really and hopefully wouldn't be if I were to come into a ton of money. Last thing I'd want to do is change how I feel towards others. 3. Do you think money gives happiness? Money can't make people happy. However, money, because it can be spent to buy things that people enjoy, can help provide a person with things that can make them happy. Money in itself is just paper or coinage. However, the things you can acquire with it can get people what they want. However, material things only go so far to help people feel better. It also can raise your standards of living such as if you are poor you may have to deal with a lifestyle and home that are more like deathtraps. Money also, if a person is in the wrong frame of mind, can lead a person to self-destruction because that person forgets money in itself is not important. It's not the money itself but what you do with it and why you do what you do that is important. Wealthy people as well as poor people suffer some of the same mental maladies and physical maladies. Money doesn't make a person more 'human' than someone who has a lack of it. It also introduces new problems such as people becoming jealous around the person who has money instead of happy for them. It can also make a person with money spend it on stupid things such as drugs and ruin the occupation that brought the person the money. Also, some jobs work people to the bone and even if they are rich, they become mentally exhausted and unsatisfied. So for success with being rich or poor, people really should put less emphasis on money in itself and instead on their lives. Too much or too little money sucks. We all have our limits on what we want to feel comfortable with and having too much money to manage takes a lot of time and effort and can be consuming while having too little money can mean you don't know if you are eating tomorrow or can afford your rent. Money won't make anyone happy, but having money to buy things you enjoy can. However, money can't buy true friends as those won't care how much you make, but how rich you are in personality, trust, and how well you get along.
Sadly, I agree with this in Kh2...well no, maybe I wouldn't say 'smarter' but I would say he's more -perceptive- than Sora. Even in CoM he was trying to hold the group together more than Donald and Sora were and his suggestions saved them from dividing up. Sora gets on a sort of one track mind and misses the obvious often which Goofy seems to pick up more on.
I think that about explains it as well. There's nothing wrong with people liking yaoi or yuri or hetero relationship stuff and making up fun out of character/story scenarios but when it's actually believed because the perversion of the true story is so twisted, then there's a line. I can joke around etc, but really with all the evidence to support that Riku and Sora are not the least bit gay and obviously both had a thing for Kairi...then Sora liked Namine...then Sora gets his memory back and likes Kairi again...I'm not seeing this. Riku also doesn't appear to be anything more than a great friend and brother in a sense to Sora. They never do anything that shows them being infatuated with one another in any way at all. They were competitive and Kairi was often the center of their attention until Riku backed off and understood Kairi's choice. It's fun to play around but if something is clearly not there, it's not. I kidded around about that scene with Sora and Riku, as well as a few others but I don't believe that was the goal at all. To change the story and insist they are going to be a yaoi pairing just does seem a bend of reality in the story itself.
It so works either way! It makes both sides look amusing. =:)
I suppose the victims of such incidences would be hard pressed to want to say what happened and lose all their street cred. "Uh yeah...these burn marks...they're from some batch of Tollhouse cookies. Yeah, straight from the oven, man." It makes me want to give them some milk.
