Yeah, I can see the similarities between Cloud and Roxas. I wouldn't put any real relation to it because Nomura does, as others have said, have a thing with spiky hair and well a lot of 'heroes' in FF have blonde hair and blue eyes for some reason. It is an interesting observation to point out.

No, it wasn't really Riku's Darkness that opened the portal. Xehanort (according to his own accounts in the fake Ansem reports) followed a Heartless he had let loose in the castle and found the door to Radiant Gardens Heart. He opened it having the ability to do so. He didn't even know what it was until he examined it and sought to answer what the Heartless wanted with it. When he did so, he connected the world back to interspace as they call it in KH and it became visible. After this, since the world was rejoined, King Mickey was able to travel there and talk to Ansem the Wise and Gummi Blocks appeared on the world which later when Mickey arrived, he explained what their function was. It was not until a bit later that Xehanort actually had the Heartless finish off much of that world and sent out droves of Heartless to interspace to go to worlds that were opened.

Riku was coerced into doing the same thing on Destiny Islands, opening the Heart of his world and connecting the world back to the pattern of things, as he was the Keyblade bearer intended. Being coerced didn't mean Riku did this out of using Darkness. He was merely duped because he wanted to leave. Once he opened the Heart of the World to interspace, Xehanort's Heartless (Ansem of KH1) sent Heartless through and the world was devoured. Riku was simply a needed tool to actually open up the Heart of the world so that the Darkness could take the world and further Ansem's plans. It was Ansem that caused the Heartless to go there and the portal from the Darkside appeared.

I think that this post could have been a lot less nasty, in all seriousness. The person asked a question out of curiosity and there are other threads here such as the AxelxRoxas thread or the one about 'Which pairings do you prefer' that would have been more suited to slam as they directly are about yaoi and this is simply an inquiry into people's thoughts. This has actually been a meaningful thread where people give opinions on a question as to whether it is a canon thing or has no chance in hell.

And an avatar of Sora and Riku kissing...why is that so offensive? They aren't doing anything more than that and people do kiss and there's nothing saying on the forum anywhere that it is forbidden because they are both clothed and it's a kiss, nothing more. There are people's avatars with Kairi and Sora kissing but I don't see people making complaints about that or the Namine and Roxas one. Are you homophobic or that against gays? Think about it. That avatar is no worse than any other truly, just it doesn't have a 'male and a female' in it.

I will say that I get sick of the fangurl/fanboi obsessions of trying to make things of their imaginations 'canon', there's nothing wrong with imagination and for those who don't take it so seriously to write and do art for it. It doesn't really phase me as I don't have to read it or see the pictures, though now and then I see some and I laugh and take it with humor. I'm certainly not going to tell every fangurl or fanboi that they are stupid. Attacking the person who wrote the thread is just flaming. Even as others said they can't stand the fangurlism, no one went out of their way to flame the creator of the thread. That's just downright disrespectful.

Kairi never became a heartless. She became a nobody when Sora unlocked his heart for her. And, Kairi was in his heart. Well, what if Riku was there too? I mean they are best friends and everything. Even so, all through Kingdom Hearts 1 you hear him say "I need to find Riku And Kari!" So, what if Riku's nobody was created the same way she was? And thus him being, Axel...?

I dunno, just a thought. I thought of this when I realized Axel and Riku look wayyy to alike, act the same, friends with Roxas/Sora, and just the overall perspective. What do you all think about my theory? I think it could work honestly. I mean like... ok, do this, put a pic of Riku and Axel side by side and compare.

Same length hair (Axel's is just more spikey and red) Same eyes, same facial features from when Riku grew up, same sadistic smile and laugh, same overall mindset. If it isn't Riku's nobody, something is kinda fishy here... I'm starting to think all of the Organization members are passed friends or characters.

For instance... has anyone else noticed Hayner from kh2 looks a hell of a lot alike as Lexaeus? Or, Ansem the wise looks like Organization XIII's Luxord? Something is kinda fishy here...[/QUOTE]

Axel is defnitely not Riku's Nobody and Riku does not have a Nobody. Nomura even said he did not when asked about it. The reason is because Riku never lost his Heart, or his mental whole being, despite the fact he lost his body for some time after donating it to Ansem and coming to regret that decision. His entire mental being was cast into Darkness, but Riku's heart and will survived there and even wandered around the place. When Riku stopped Ansem (Xehanort's Heartless) from taking Kairi and the others, he held off Ansem and then his heart and soul, his entire mind was sent to Darkness while Ansem still had his body. However, they were still connected. When Ansem was defeated, Riku's body was returned to him and he had to stay in Darkness to avoid letting Ansem get out again. So in essence the only thing Riku ever lost was his body which he was still linked to, and he therefore he would not form a Nobody, because even his body was never destroyed. There simply was nothing of Riku available to form a Nobody at all.

Axel, to me, doesn't even really look that much like Riku. For one thing, Riku's eyes were Aquamarine in KH and CoM and turn a more teal sort of color in KH2 where as Axel's eyes are brilliant emerald green and in certain lighting appeared to be a pale greenish color. There's no blueish tint to his eyes in any scene. Axel's hair and Riku's are similar in length at some points, though in back, that's hard to discern. However, Axel's hair had been that way for years most likely. Zexion was 10 years older and yet trapped in a body that was no older appearing than when Ienzo casted himself to Darkness, and he also had the same hair style. Note how much also Zexion looks like Ienzo, even for the brief glimpse we see of him. Their heights were the same and builds were duplicate. The Nobodies do not age and seem frozen in the state they are in, and Xehanort and Xemnas mirror one another pretty well too. Axel is a good few inches taller than Riku and would have been a lot taller than him at 15, and is also lanky and lean. Riku has muscle mass and a more male physique as well. I'm not seeing this comparison truly.

You also bring up Kairi. Her situation was different. In KH we see her lose her Heart go to Sora, but her body and soul probably stayed to her body which Riku later acquires. When Sora used the Dark Keyblade that was made of the 6 Princesses of Hearts'...hearts, he opened up his Heart and hers to release them. Because he, like most normal people, had Darkness in his Heart, he was changed to a Shadow as his body was devoured by Darkness. That's where Roxas comes in to existence. It is also mentioned in the -true- Ansem Reports that Namine was also created at this time. Kairi's Heart was not included in the making of the Dark Keyblade so when all of the PoH's Hearts were returned to their bodies with its destruction, Kairi had no Darkness, but her Heart was released as was Sora's. It went back to her body and she was awakened. Because of the time the Heart was freed and Darkness was used, though she had no Darkness herself, Namine was created. Namine was considered a 'shell' of a Nobody even to the other Nobodies and to DiZ as well because of this condition of not losing everything other than her Heart for that brief moment.

As far as the others go, these are similarities I believe are just in the design of how people look in KH by the artwork. Lexaeus and Hayner cannot be related in such a way. For one thing, Hayner is a kid that appears around 15-16 years old and Lexaeus is a former apprentice to Ansem the Wise from 10 years ago and was a full adult as he looks now. Also, DiZ (Ansem) is never said to have a Nobody at all and just emersed himself in Darkness and sought revenge, but was obviously not a Heartless either, so he was someone similar to Riku that learned Dark abilities but never fully fell.

I hope that helps clarify it because quite a few people have posted that Axel is Riku's Nobody and really when it comes down to it, it makes no sense and is not even possible, and Nomura did say Riku had no Nobody since he never lost his Heart, even if his entire mental being was disembodied for a while and trapped within Darkness. He had a link to his body, and had his whole self mentally there so there simply was nothing to create a Nobody with, at any point in the story.

Even if it doesn't work out, at least you told her so that you could sooner or later get her feelings on the matter too. That way if it does work out, it's cool, and if it doesn't, you know and can move on and still have her as a friend. The expectations and holding it in really are the worst parts of it.

I'll be going to the parents' home, helping cook and prepare food, and then sit and get royally fat...watch the parade and try to not fall asleep there, fail as usual...wake up in 3 hours and drive home after being made fun of.

Wow, 4 times seeing things..that must be a pain in the butt. I tend to see things backwards as if I'm looking in a mirror at times or sometimes the numbers or letters are mixed up. I did train myself to not be so 'handicapped' by dyslexia. The whole reason I'm dyslexic in the first place is because I was left handed but I was taught to write with my right hand and well, then I became ambidextrous.

We do all have our slow days though. Hope it gets better for you. Sometimes the brain is just tired.

That sucks. I am dyslexic more with numbers so if people tell me their phone numbers and such I never remember it right. It doesn't mean you are slow though. It's just something you have to work on by spelling out words more to yourself out loud or record yourself spelling some various words and play it back a few days later so you forget what the words were. It can help get you thinking faster in that area.

I think the strangest moment that cracked me up is when Auron and Sora are walking together and Auron tells Sora that 'somebody' unlocked the Underdrome. Here's the direct quotes. It was so strange and amusing to me and after Sora says 'What an idiot' there was this pause before Auron says 'hmph'.

Auron: The Underdrome. Fiends of the Underworld once clashed there---battle
after battle. But Zeus didn't like the senseless violence, so he locked the
    place up.

Sora: How did it get UN-locked?

Auron: Some fool must have broken the seal.

    Sora: What an idiot.

    Auron: Hmph.

I'm glad to see the PS3 is doing better, despite weird reports and lies from Fox News. It has a lot of the games I want that happen to be exclusive. I knew hanging out and waiting, the price would drop and now I can finally near afford one. PS3 has been doing well in Japan and I hope it does better around the world because I've used one and really do think it's a great console. Not putting down the Wii, really, but I just don't really care for most of the games and think I've about got the best games on the Wii that are probably coming out. =:/

    1. I don't buy that Roxas was the strongest. I think Xemnas could have squashed him. Sora could not take out the true power of Xemnas alone.
    2. He was only essential because he had a "Keyblade" which brings out the Heartless. Heartless are drawn to the Keyblade's power. That's why Roxas was instrumental. This is why when Roxas was taken from them, they began using Sora. Otherwise he would have been just as 'useful' as any other Org member.
    3. The Org wanted their own 'traitors' dead. They also wanted Axel dealt with, Vexen and Marluxia etc. He was a member that walked off and had secrets that the Org had been keeping for a good 9 or 10 years. Of course they would want to kill him of he refuses to work with them. Of course, for wanting to 'kill' him, Xigbar actually seemed genuinely not pleased with Roxas's change against them as did some others.

Yeah, I agree. Playing games on the Wii...would suggest to me that she was at home and the guy was obviously at his place...playing a bowling game. It doesn't seem that it's cheating then really, as well...shouldn't there be some physical contact? I can't tell whether she cheated or not really by this evidence as to me it's obvious they aren't in the same location even if they are both using Wiis and bowling together. She may have been unfaithful but she also could have just been spending time with someone over the Wii to well, keep sane.
