There was a thread for this not too long ago and this really should go to the spam zone. There was debate over another thread that was not so blatant into bringing up every pairing possibility.

Yeah, what people listed are pretty good stores to find them. I see them here in Walmarts, Sam's Clubs, EB, Kmart, Target and places like that. They seem easier to find at these places than some places that are dedicated to just general electronics like Best Buy.

Also, I'd suggest not buying one off Ebay. Some people sell things that electronically have some malfunction or they've abused the console in some way. It's better just to look around where you are at to know what you are getting when it comes to these things. I know I've ordered electronic stuff off Ebay and sometimes it is just something I have to sit and repair, which sucks. Also, you have to hope they pack it well, and some people don't know how to send things right through mail. It's better to just check it out and see the item first hand even if you might be out of stock. You'll get one sooner or later.

I do agree that Xmas is playing a big part now too in the uprising sales since in years past it's been Xbox and Wii, and now this year people can get a PS3 too. That does help. It's a bit of all those really.

I think it's both of what you two are saying really.

1. The drop in price to 399 has made the console affordable for many of us who could not afford it at 599 etc. That makes a big difference here. With now all you can get with it for 399 it makes it great and more affordable and much more attractive.

2. On the other side of things, a lot of great games are scheduled for release in 2008 to include White Knight, FF XIII, MGS4 etc. So it makes the console more worth it to people because finally the games that many of us are looking forward to are coming out and that is all good.

So I'd have to say I'd be up the middle on this one and realize it's both issues and neither of you is wrong in your assessments. I was personally holding off on the PS3 for the reason it was too expensive for a college student to get, and yet at the same time there weren't enough games to merit me buying it early when I can just go back and get the older ones after I get the games I want too. So for me, it's both.

Yes it was sad to see Goofy had more perceptive skills and wisdom in the games of CoM and KH2 than Sora or Donald did. Donald spent most of the time arguing and starting fights and being crotchety...which is normal, and Sora just isn't the most perceptive person in the world. I'm sure as Sora ages, because he has that responsibility of being a Keyblade wielder, he will have to get more perceptive or rely on Goofy or Riku to point out everything but at least he does seem to understand matters of the Heart even if he's not aware of much else.

Having said that, it was humorous to see Goofy being the one to point out such things as Ping is a girl, to promise that even if they don't remember things they know they are friends in CoM and to stay together, and other such things such as saying to not mess with the computer. I don't know why Goofy was that smart compared to Sora but it was amusing, nonetheless.

If Riku had not been tempted by 'Ansem' to unlock the door to his world, things would have been different. I will not say though that Sora could not also have been tempted. He wanted to go out and explore things just as Riku did. However, Sora was -not- the kid that had to be tempted to do it. Riku was the one and only one who could have other than maybe Kairi.

Riku also did not open the door to show off to Kairi and all. As a matter a fact, it seems that Riku, though he -liked- Kairi, was actually stepping back and trying to encourage Sora to follow his heart and ask the girl out because he could tell she liked Sora more that way. Riku was goading him, and yes, Riku may have liked her too, but he certainly was not trying to 'steal her away' by doing something like that.

Riku, even though he opened the door, just simply wanted to get out and explore and leave behind a place. He had no 'malice' in the deed. I doubt he understood how bad it would even get, though he was unafraid of the Darkness itself. The way I see it, he was tempted that by opening the door to Destiny Islands Heart, he was connecting the place to other worlds, so taking the raft, they could go elsewhere. If he had thought in any other way, he would not have put most of his work (which he seemed to be the one that built most of it while Sora and Kairi were doing whatever) into it. When Xehanort found Kairi, he was determined to send her out to find the Keyblade wielder, and so he sent her out on the water, by his notes and she ended up on DI. It is easy to see how a kid, even as smart as Riku was, could be duped if his hopes were to just get away and do some adventuring and such.

So, if Riku didn't open the door, then all would have been okay for a little while. However, Ansem might have plagued him and other such things and found a way there any way. Also, if King Mickey were watching things he might have had to do something. Riku's real 'fall from grace' was more to the fact that he was upset at Sora for not coming to help Kairi and instead Sora's new 'friends' would also not let him go with them. Donald was pretty adamant and Sora's responses to the contrary were rather weak. Riku also ended up at Hollow Bastion because that's where Ansem would want him as he is the Keyblade wielder intended. However, what if Sora had gone there instead? What if Riku had gotten the Keyblade? He would have gone to rescue Sora, I would think.

Really, Ansem just used a couple flaws Riku had, and other than those flaws, Riku was a great kid. He was caring, honest, attempting to help others, and would go out on a limb for his friends. He trained a lot of those kids in self defense, to include Sora. He also was there to support them when down. Riku's flaw of insecurity and a desire to go do what a lot of kids seek to and adventure...they weren't bad flaws. They just were horribly used against him. Now taking Sora's lack of perception flaw and fact he just follows his heart, I think that Sora could have had at least as many problems as Riku, because though the flaws are also not bad, I could see how they could have been used worst against him.

Of course, the only way, as I mentioned before, that Riku could not have opened that door, was if Sora were the intended Keyblade wielder instead. With how Sora was so oblivious at unlocking the door to the Underdrome...people shouldn't be so surprised that he might open the door to Destiny Islands' Heart under the same premise that it was told to Riku. Sora also, as was shown in KH, does have darkness in his heart, or otherwise he could not have been made into a Shadow. Kairi had no Darkness and therefore, she could not be changed that way. Sora also shows some places in KH2 where you wonder if Riku wouldn't have done much better in the same scene. In the end, I say the possibilities range but Sora if he had been the intended wielder all along, could have turned out just as bad or worse than Riku. He had 'jealousy' of Riku too, even on the tree while the three talked about getting away and Riku thanked Kairi. The flaws in Sora and Riku are minor but both could have been used.

I am thinking this thread can even be closed at this point. Sora and Kairi, as well as Riku, were all original concept characters for KH and have never appeared elsewhere than the KH series. They were never in FF as everyone else (but the weird dog and Tifa thing) has said. Now this is just spam.

I would probably say that after Pete left the Heartless for Sora and them to face and all, he probably took off to Hollow Bastion in the castle, because that is where he meets Maleficent.

I would have to say I don't believe there's an earth 'single conscience' or anything like that if that's what you mean. However, there's nothing to prove or disprove it exclusively. I do feel there is spirit energy and such, but nothing that draws on a singular personality to say that the earth is 'sentient', though I do see from a scientific standpoint, that there is a charge and energy to matter and all.

I'm in college and think that's the meaning of my life too atm, lol. At least right now with final exams looming. Nothing wrong with that!

I would not recommend Ebay for a PS3 either. You are liable to get something that isn't so great even if you did save some money. It's better to just go buy one direct at a store that sells them so you can see with your own two eyes that it hasn't been used before or mistreated. There are some great things on Ebay but for some reason, any digital/computer/or game things I get from there are usually not as good as I had hoped. Just a warning.

As for back on topic, I won't be getting one for Xmas but soon after that. I am buying a 40 gig one so I can replace the HD with one of my own that has more room when I need it. Congrats to those who are getting one for Xmas! I wish I was young enough to live at home and still get those sorts of things, lol. College is expensive.

RPGs have always gotten slack since D&D because of people that want to say things and don't even want to try them.

I enjoy RPGs, certainly not because I am emo, because I'm not. I enjoy them because you can -think- in them and do things, interact with a storyline and use some imagination and it inspires creativity. I love shoot em up games and such too, but I have to say they get boring after a time because once you've played one fighter game or shoot em up game, well, you have a good chance you've played most of them.

There are some awesome Nintendo games, but then there are a ton of bad ones that I really could not care for and are wash-repeat-wash-repeat games that are okay but not that thrilling. I also am not a fan of 'furries' even if I still will play Sonic the Hedgehog games and I've seen enough furry hentai crap to say it's even worse than the silly 'pairings' thing that goes on with KH. The furries deal has spread all through games, but oh well. The image though of 'roleplayers' has always been lame. Some may fit the stereotypical fat guy with clothes that haven't been washed for a week, emoing in front of his computer/game console, or books, etc but others do have lives and get out and do things and aren't at all like that.

The reason I go into that is because Nintendo did try to redirect how Nomura was doing games and other groups as well. They determine what goes on their consoles and what does not and Squaresoft simply didn't want that control and moved on to what -they felt- was better and offered them more freedom to do what they wanted. Also, Squaresoft and SE now is not exclusively a Sony thing and has not been. They SEE the division in which games they feel can go on which console because there IS a real division based on decisions by Nintendo and now the other two console companies. Though some games get fine lined and stretch things, if you were to take 30 games out and put them in front of a gamer who's used all 3 console types over the years, I bet they could assign the unknown games based on the genre they are to at least be 80% correct on which console they'd probably sell more at.

People are on this kick to suck Nintendo's balls lately and yet they forget what Nintendo decisions have wrought as well. There -is no company- that has not said or done some stupid things when it comes to the gamers who buy this stuff. This is why in the end I wish fanboys would stop bothering to cater to this crap and just buy consoles for GAMES they want instead. A console is only as good as the games it has for it, and by that note, each console is pretty good if your tastes are diverse. If not, you'll prefer one over the others, but outright hating a console based on stupid words, it cracks me up.

I apologize for my rant, but really, the companies don't need the defensive loyalty protection that is bordering on zealot patriotism. Sony did not try to 'screw over it's fans' anymore than any other company has done, and in fact, some of the complaints listed in here, I actually think are awesome instead. I don't get how sprucing up a system and making it 'into a computer' was a 'bad' thing but that's just me. The price is the only thing that kept me away, and now that it is more feasible, it's good to go.

I would act the same way I do now, and just work on dealing with the trouble makers and spam bots so that others could chill and have a good time. Of course, I already do admin several things so after a while you just become more laid back with it, I suppose.

Text talk is annoying, but I just pick on people who use it because it sucks so much. Unless no one on the board can understand them and it's just a spammer that is worthless to the world, I wouldn't ban the person though. I'd just say I can't take them seriously. I do know sites that do remove them though.

Life doesn't suck. Life has its ups and downs. If all you focus on is the downs then that is what you'll always get. If you pay attention to the good and the bad things that happen, your life is better. I don't think the 'optimistic' people that go around with fake smiles and weird gleamy eyes are anymore right than those that are going around emoing and being depressed all the time. Life is what it is, in simple: Life. You can either choose to 'exist' and suffer or you can choose to live and get the most out of it, learn and enjoy the time you have with it, or you can fake it's a bed of roses and all.

Of course, because we are all so diverse, how we feel about life will differ too. I prefer my way of looking at things as they really are, but others may be more extreme to being overly pessimistic or overly optimistic. I prefer to be a realist and not bother sugar coating up things but not always drudging through the mud either. In the end though, I have to admit, as anyone else should, that it is all a 'point of view'. It's a self opinion and well, when people respect those more, things will get better. However, I can't see that everyone will EVER share the same points of views or tolerate absolutely others for theirs. There is a growing level of tolerance that happens but then I can look to places and see hatred that is just lame, such as racism, gender bias, sexual orientation and preference matters more than it should, skin color and cultural issues are so damned important, religion in the hands of some that spouts hatreds and teaches people it is acceptable to steal and burn things...it's just the way it is.

No one can control another person absolutely. No one can forcibly change someone's mind. People like to think they can because they can put their will on someone weaker willed and make them kowtow but in the end, we are all individuals. When we create ideas, we are 'alone' to do so. Each person has their own little world of 'thought' and it can mesh with other people's but there is always going to be difference and that's just how it is. We can train each other to be different but if someone doesn't want to: Oh well. If they are harmful enough with their views, they are taken out because they are a threat or put away out of mainstream society. That's just how it is and dodging that issue means failure in the parts of designing any society. However, I also kind of get tired of the naysayers that humanity is all bad etc too. If we were all bad, we would not bother trying to stop those that are harmful to us greatly. However, we are most powerful when a majority agrees with something and unless that happens, we can't do as much. It doesn't make life suck. It's just the way it is.

Life is Life. You make of it what you will. In the end, your life is your own and you decide what it is, who you will be, and what you do within the constraints of what is open and available to you. So really, we may all differ but in the end, we are all probably right.

I can see why you are torn on it, and I'm not sure '8' years old is the age I would say to teach it but perhaps 10 years old since there are very few people that actually are going through things at 8. However, you bring up points I did and others did as to why I think it should be taught earlier.

There are girls that hit puberty early. I can remember girls that were a bit more heavy set getting 'boobs' at 10 even. I can also say that kids do pass around information to one another and well, rather than 'kids' teaching things that some adults just toss out there to kids and is well...a biased point of view, I think for the kids' safety at large, they should know the truth. Some parents really do tell their children the wrong things and well, when you can hear 4 year olds telling you to go f yourself up the ***...do you want that same kid telling your child about sex when he's 8? I would hope not. But it will happen because that kid will be 'cool' and doing things he or she should not at even as young as 8 and though it won't be full intercourse, it may just involve going out and groping and even molestation.

In an ideal situation, -parents- would teach their children, but it just doesn't happen that way often. Some parents won't even say anything other than 'just don't you be having sex' and just toss girls pads because they should already know what they are for because school taught them, and for boys, sometimes parents try to just say how 'bad' they are as they go through their puberty years and don't say anything to them either, which to me, can just as well encourage the 'curiosity' as with telling children all about sex at an early age.

This is why I'd hope that the version they'd teach 8 or 10 year olds etc would be something 'lite' because kids don't need to know how to put on condoms and do the acts, but they do need to recognize truth from fiction because sadly even some adults don't know that.

I would say the reason why is because the ride is as diverse as the people are. You can find unique flora and fauna, conditions etc depending on where you are and people adapt to that as well as dealing with other people. We are still, no matter how much we try to escape it, bound to reflections of where we grow up and what has been adapted for us for generations. If the ride had included us all together from the beginning, and we had all the same conditions to live in, we could understand each other more. We are doing this with integrations but it does take time. That is why we can with communications learn of other places, study other places on our own and visit them, get a view of cultures etc, more than we ever were in the past. However, unfortunately as there is good in each setting we also find the bad and that's where we need to tweak ourselves and use our adaptability for what it can be as we are sentient beings. There are simply people though that cannot or 'will not' adjust to things and instead seek to make things in their viewpoints, and that is when we have the problem. Others will not want to change as some see and so the cultural and regional effect become pushy and things happen. It's more complex than that, but that would the very basic view I think. Our diversity can be a gift if people start seeing it more that way and it does help us to develop wondrous things, but when people are glued on their own specific ideal and can't accept another possibly 'good' thing, well, we either stagnate or we war. Too many people I suppose want to be in charge of the ride and tell others where they have to go so their ideals can stay alive 'untainted' instead of co-existing and adapting.

Namine and Roxas were made at the same time, which was when the Dark Keyblade was used, if Ansem's true reports are accurate. Namine, however, ended up at the Castle Oblivion and Roxas possibly first showed up in Twilight Town and was taken to TWTNW and went back and forth to Twilight Town.

Really it isn't that bad. You can get a lot of the higher scores when you get the better ships after clearing out the way the first and second times going to the worlds. I had very high scores once I could get the higher things and mod the ships and all and just go repeating every level. It is, however, quite time consuming.

He's a year old as a Nobody, but he seems to be mentally about 15 years old.
