I don't see why not. Seems to be coming along interesting enough. You could probably post it in the Creativity Corner.
This hardly gives us anything to work with here. Life can be rough but it can also have good things in it too. Look for both the positives and the negatives and life will have more meaning and you'll find more to live for. If you are confused or frustrated, and want an ear, tell us what's going on and perhaps we can help offer you some ways to work on things, or at least some support. I hope you feel better about things soon.
He's going to be getting strong doses of Vitamin A that is said to counter the effects of warts, and with some that remain, they are going to work on freezing them off and removing them to help him get use of his hands and feet again and though he may not ever be 100% looking clean skinned and all, he will feel much better and be able to perhaps support his children and not be an object of a freak show. The doctor now is trying to get support to fly Dede to the States and I hope that some people take him up on that. It looks like he already gave the guy some new clothes and such to help him out. Maybe he could even get his kids and himself out of Indonesia where he's faced so much humiliation from the locals but either way I can only see things hopefully getting better now, after all this pain.
Well, everyone knows the Wii is doing well and so it really wasn't brought in the statement. No one is 'writing it off'. However, I'm glad to see the PS3 is finally doing better, at the right price and things are moving up for it. Wii technically did better sales than the Xbox that was out a whole year prior to the Wii's release so Wii really isn't in the equation. Everyone knows it's kicking butt. Now that Halo 3 is out, it boosts up things for the Xbox too so it's all good.
Wow, it looks awesome. Those cars look so real. I think it has a potential to be a really fun game.
Funny. People talk as they are going to. It doesn't mean the teenagers that play haven't already heard what happened and the teens had the best suggestion of all really. One said 'I just ignore it'. Parents can teach their kids this language does exist and it's not right to use and the responsible teen is going to know that and just disregard stupid talk. Trash talk always has happened in competitive games including sports. It's not going to stop. As long as you know -your- kid is able to just ignore it or tell the other to shut up and move on, well, it's fine. Besides, when someone says stupid crap like that in games I play, it usually gives me more motivation to kill them and take their stuff. Good fun and karma.
That's really harsh to think someone has lived like that for so long and endured all he has. To think that's just caused by a viral strain that most of the time causes people warts. =:/ His immune system is so weak against it that it just spiraled out of control. I had to look up some articles on him to understand what actually was going on there. The guy's name is Dede and he's from Indonesia; there are some articles on him. I'm glad to see the guy can get some help. Apparently his wife abandoned him and his children and he had to work in a freak show to make money and support them. He had also received a lot of ridicule around where he lived. People are such jerks sometimes. I am glad to see that this guy could get help from something as simple as heavy vitamin A and this doctor wants to try to help him even further and bring him to the States. Hope he gets better though they don't think he'll have a 'full' recovery as in he'll probably have scars and such, he'll at least be able to function and use his hands and feet etc and spend better time with his children.
I had heard of this some time ago, and talked about it with others. I think the movie has the potential to either kick butt or suck royally. I'm not sure which way I am leaning more towards at the moment but I gave Transformers a chance and thought it wasn't bad (though not terrific to me, it was decent) so maybe this will be good too.
I would have to say that there are extremists on the position of war, and that hippies are the counter extreme and they themselves are not that useful to society either. Let's look at the facts here: 1. Some hippies go to great lengths to try to hold up people's REGULAR lives protesting the war and get in other people's ways of even trying to do such mundane tasks as 'getting to work'. It's one thing to protest stuff, but it should not be in the middle of a street where cars are and they shouldn't be chaining themselves to public places in shows of dramatics while we need to live our normal lives. We have -Lobbies- for a reason. Get their butts to there and fix things the way everyone else must. They are not an exception. 2. Hippies are making signs and doing things as they did back in Vietnam to soldiers coming home. They are calling them 'baby killers' and other such nonsense and just being downright idiots harassing them when they are doing a job and whether you agree with that job or not, there's no reason to attack people for it, ruin their coming home, releasing them from jobs because you protest it so much, and calling them names that are untrue. How would some of these hippies like to be treated? There are times I would not mind going up to a stupid hippy that calls a soldier a baby killer or murderer to their face and punching them a good one. Hippies do not know crap about war and it'd help if many of them would actually go out and get -jobs- before they treat others so badly. Having said that, the other extreme are those people that are 'war mongers' and toss us into the fray without second thought. It sucks. However, I think this war was needed, especially the one in Afghanistan. We had lost more than 3000 people and they were -civilians-. Had it been a -military- base, well that's the cost of wearing a uniform, and despite it being tragic, it wouldn't have been so outright cowardly. There was no consideration at all for the lives of people who may never have picked up a gun in their lives. The people who did this crime were zealots to the extreme and call us 'The Devil'. THAT is the realism here. Terrorists go after the regular people to get back at a government. These terrorists are whiny little cowards that are taught to hate and are manipulated through a corrupting of a religion and are zealot fanaticals. Any people that target ordinary civilians and attack them instead of the 'problem' they actually have, damned straight others should fight that. In Great Britain, acts were also done against -civilians-. Now, just what is a Hippy peace loving moron, who's rights are protected and those soldiers go to die for, going to do if this country was overran? I consider it ungrateful. I do not like war anymore than anyone else but I see that it sometimes has to happen as a necessary evil. Soldiers are not murderers. Most soldiers have our best interests at hand, regardless of what country you are in. They put their lives on the line. We may have a lot of problems with 'corruption' in our government (and in any government for that matter) but people obviously look over how bad some of these people we go against are. Saddam wasn't a 'good guy'. He continued trying to do things after Desert Shield and was violating treaty rules. I do think the war should have been 'different' and we could have waited somewhat longer to gain UN support, but in all seriousness, he was a leader that sooner or later had to be taken out. There are also issues with the mercenary group 'Black Water' that I disagree with strongly. There are things of this war I would love to have seen not happen, but calling our soldiers murderers is just crummy. As some others have said, sometimes war must be fought. What is anyone supposed to do when challenged with the threat of their society being destroyed from under them? Who protects the ordinary people so that we can gripe, complain and say how stupid war is? Soldiers also go on missions to -save- people's lives. There are many natural disasters that soldiers go to in order to help aid other countries and our own. There are hostile acts that happen elsewhere and soldiers have gone to places like Rwanda and helped remove dead bodies from rivers caused by deadly battles of warlords and worked on purifying their water. Soldiers are sent out to remove other people's land mines put in years ago in places like Africa and the ME. Soldiers stop people in South America from stuffing babies with drugs and crossing the border. That is the real scene here that goes unappreciated. Some soldiers do stupid things now and then, but it is definitely on the minority as many take their jobs seriously and lay their lives on the line to -help people-. They are not just instruments of destruction. War does suck. Those who start it suck. It makes others do possibly over the top things as I think George Bush did. I don't blame him for -starting- this war, but I do think he was too extreme after the fact. However, doing nothing would have simply been more idiotic and left us as prey for worse to happen. As for your last statement, "One person has the power to make a difference", sure the person does. He or she has a voice and can rally others to the cause of making change and if people agree to it in droves, it happens. This is a common thing that goes on in any society. One person probably initiated the 40 lashings deal for a teacher from the UK in Sudan now over kids voting a teddy bear's name to be Muhammad. One person yelled out he was ticked off when blown off by the French royalty and thus others fell into place and the French Revolution took place. One person started off voicing things about pagans and those weird people who don't see as they do and others fell into place and the Crusades and Spanish Inquisitions happened. On that same note, one person and then others jumped in to help try to find ways of making our industries etc more 'green friendly'. Good and bad happens by people voicing things and that's how it is. You want the power to say one person can make a difference but seem to not want to look at the 'ugly' of that power too. I didn't write this to slam on you personally, but really, the view is one that is cutting out the pure raw facts of life here. I'd love a peaceful world that could set aside differences but the facts are some people HATE others and will attempt every single thing they can at their disposal to make other lives miserable or to end them. When the regular people themselves are attacked, you don't just answer that with 'why can't we all just get along?' It's not going to save you. Sometimes you just have to know when to fight and when to go on and say things are going to be okay and 'I can turn the other cheek'. Please consider that.
Apparently, it's not just this guy that is rather annoyed and there actually is a problem with the LE discs and possibly a couple others for the game. Also, there may be more lawsuits that were filed at first when MS wasn't doing much but just trying to repair issues, but they have issued that if people had problems with the discs recently (because of a scratch on them that MS thought was only cosmetic) to some Americans, that they'd trade discs for working ones. http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=202101826 http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=7304&Itemid=2 http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=84162 However, I have to agree that filing a lawsuit for 5 million is insane and that MS is doing what it can to fix the problems, so this is just a money making scheme. If MS was doing nothing about it, sure, but they are attempting and this guy is looking for some easy cash and maybe is one of the most impatient jerks out there. I don't really think this lawsuit will go anywhere other than them telling MS to give the guy a new disc. If they do allow him to walk away with more then I agree that our legal system is screwed up.
I am not a fan of the Spice Girls but that song was pretty decent. They look so different now. I think my favorite though was Vermillion - Slip Knot but the Freedom of Speech - Immortal Technique was great too.
I'll admit that some books are just tear jerkers. So yes, when some are done really well with emotional scenes, I'll drop a tear or two because it just is so well done I can picture the scene in my head. Unfortunately, though, I can't recall books that actually have made me do that in a long while, but I suppose that's because lately they've all been scientific books and unless I want to cry from the physics equations, it just isn't going to work.
I think in the beginning he will use the Kingdom Key and as he advances he'll learn 'dual wielding' to get Oathkeeper and Oblivion. Not sure he'd get any others but perhaps as a progression he'd get similar Keyblades to what Sora had in KH and then end up lastly with the 2 final Keyblades that would tie him to Sora and Riku and Kairi. Of course, that's total guess work there.
Hmm, good question. I guess I'd think there'd be some form of Ultima Weapon in the game but then again, who knows? I'm sure there will be some cool final weapon of some sort though, as others have said.
It is nearly pretty easy to say at this time that Terra, Ven and Aqua are Chasers though it's not entirely confirmed. People keep trying to say they are the new version of the creatures fought in the game but I would strongly disagree as it makes no sense. However, what is definitely known is this: Terra = corresponds to Riku's name. Terra means Earth, Riku means Land Ven/Ventus = connects to Sora's name. Ventus means Wind, Sora means Sky. Aqua = links to Kairi's name. Aqua means water and Kairi's name means Sea. However, no one has said why their names correspond with the 3 main characters' names so that's up for debate. It could just be a running theme for all we know. Xehanort in this game is Master Xehanort and he has an apprentice that wears a similar suit to Riku's but is fully covered so we cannot see his appearance. Master Xehanort appears to have gone corrupt by what can be seen and Terra was sent out to stop him. Whatever other things are said about the Keybladers being attached to Light, Darkness, Twilight etc is all speculative and we do not know that information yet. Nor do we know who sends Terra out to stop Master Xehanort. Some others have put this too out there but I just wanted to make sure to pronounce what is 'canon' and what is not known as of this time. Hope that helps out.
Hmm, was wondering if you had time to do one of these sigs for me to see what you come up with. Username: Repliku (and go ahead and add that to the sig) Color scheme: somewhat dark but however else you feel would look decent. Text: Where will my Heart go? Render: http://ff-rpg.net/images/ReplikuBanner.jpg I made this out of all Repliku pictures so hopefully you can use something out of it. If not, I can try to dig up more pics possibly when I figure where I put them. I love your other sigs so thought I'd give this a whirl. Thanks!
This is a funny idea and seeing a game with Steve Irwin or Jeff Corwin in it would be cool, but I wonder how they'd actually make this work into something 'interesting' for people to do. I can see images in my head of using a character Jeff Corwin wandering around trying to grab dangerous animals and avoiding getting bitten or you lose HP and have to be rushed to a treatment facility, or some survivalist thing where you have to gather food etc and avoid being trampled on by elephants or eaten by crocodiles. Special plants heal you of things...okay, I've played too much Final Fantasy or something.
AOL alters your computer programs and such and is made for internet dummies. If you don't know how to use the internet, I suppose it's a great way to teach people but eh, it so sucks. Also, it's over expensive for crummy dial-up which you can get for a lot cheaper if you are bound to have to use that. In the end I'd say it's not worth it even with a free console.
Most seem to disagree which I see some of their points but some who have thought it wasn't such a horrible idea also have. It is an issue that I think might be somewhat difficult to comment on for some people whether they agree or not with what is said.
Yeah, maybe a gummi ship or perhaps he could open dark portals of his own since he was linked with Darkness and using it at times. If he could summon shadows, he probably could dark portal.
