When I fought them I went for Cloud first since I could fly around or jump around and avoid Leon for the most part. It's almost the same strategy as facing Yuffie and Leon, but sometimes you do need to get Leon off your tail when Cloud moves around. The key to winning is to basically try to move around a lot and don't stay stationary, keep on one of the targets, either one will do, but because both move around a lot, if you have to switch to one to do a combo or something, do it, then go back to your main person you chose. That way you knock the other one down some but keep on one main target and don't get 'back stabbed' too much. Stock up on hi-potions and have the cure spell ready easily. Save Ars Arcanum and anything that costs MP to a bit later in the fight so that you break one of them down and can use it when things get hectic. Listen for either of them to 'yell' because it's a clue they are doing one of their bigger attacks so you want to move out of the way. Hope that helps some.
I think everyone has experienced getting de-repped for reasons we don't get but eh, it doesn't have to affect us so much and if it was getting lame I'm sure the admins and all would step in and fix it. It does get annoying though to see you were de-repped and the explanation for it is just nonsense so you can't see what you even did wrong. I've never de-repped a person because I can never think of a good reason to and instead just debate them to death probably. Good stuff.
That was too adorable. I think some of those elves looked burnt out. Might want to get a breathalyser test out.
As much as I agree that the RP Arena could use some serious consideration of spelling and grammar corrections at least in the titles of threads that does seem a bit **** (I win because I get to use this word now!) so I realize it just isn't the thing to do. However, what I might suggest is that perhaps a separation of RPG types could happen with the areas where people post 20 times a day with single lines etc be in one spot, and then a separate section perhaps for people who would actually like to play RPGs with well, paragraphs, descriptions etc in them and post once or a few times a day instead. I have to say I would -love- to rp and do elsewhere, but there is just no way to get into RPGs here when people post a mile a minute simple things and no real plots seem to happen. I am sure there are some good RPGs in there too that don't ring to me of 'fangirl/boyism' and have seen a few, but if those were just perhaps separated more so people could find serious plot developed RPGs easier, it might make the RPG section a lot more enjoyable for us who can't hop in due to the way it is set up now. I don't know if I am expressing this correctly because I certainly don't want to say all of the RPGs there are bleah, but I just think that there seem to be some of us who would love to do something but can't find the 'deeper plotline' more mature RPGs (not talking mature as in adult material here). That way we could see a section -with- correct spelling and grammar more, and hop into some RPGs that let us have a bit more creativity than is offered.
I did read both of your posts, and do not appreciate on being called out on it, thank you. You obviously though did not read mine. I said Christian Extremists are the problem here; NOT Christians themselves. Now you go doing exactly the route of pulling out the 'Martyr Card' and do not get what I am saying. Read Pullman's own quote. His problem is with Organized Religion or really any fascist group that comes together, has tyranny and tries to control people. Christian ZEALOTS think that Christians are so weak that they can't watch a movie and feel it should be boycotted and all because it has some anti-Christian messages but they miss the point that it is NOT anti-Christian. It is anti-theocratic. Because the books were written in a setting of Europe, what religion is going to be mentioned and utilized? Christianity seems to make sense as if it was Islam or Judaism, Hindu or Buddhism etc...people would believe it was something of a statement against immigrants etc who did not believe as the local people did. The point of the books and the movies was NOT to say that Christianity itself was bad, but that an evil theocracy could be because people would not look and see how tyrannical and rotten their leaders who teach them worship are. So, in the end, I hold no views against Christians themselves and in reality I don't think Pullman does either, despite him being Atheist. Christians really need to stop hating on Atheists so darn much because they MAKE them a threat when the true enemy to any religious believer should be those zealot fanatics that do things in the name of a deity that is simply extreme, takes away life, privileges and joys for anyone else and oppresses them. The true disease that can be creeping in any religion is that people cover for these others who consider everyone else to be pathetic little sheep. I do not attack Christianity. I attack fundamentalist view points that feel they can let people watch Christian things all of the time and force it down our throats, and many of us who do not believe do not utter much of a complaint at all....and the next thing you know, something that says anything negative with the word 'Christianity' in it is automatically stood against by mass forms of people, people are ostracized clearly as you can even see in the people's posts here, and attempts to boycott it and forces of negativity arise by CHURCHES. Who are these people who can tell others to NOT watch something? Christians and others are NOT stupid. We have cognitive minds and can deduce things for ourselves. If you do not want to see the movie, fine, don't. No one should tell others that they cannot see it because it goes against their religious belief. No one should use religion as a weapon which is done all of the time and people get away with it because religion is deemed to be more protected than other human rights. Also, I dealt with Protestants and Catholics, and mostly Protestants that were more determined to thrust Christianity on me as well as Southern Baptists. So truly, you don't even know the faces of zealots masquerading around in your own area and it does not bode well for you to assume that one is always speaking of the Catholic Church because no, I certainly was not. Protestant extremists are also the ones who are raising mass groups of people to believe that the moon still shines its own light and denounce all science. Lastly, do not tell others to be quiet. You want your voice heard so expect others to be heard or do not come and sit at the little debate table. If you do not like what is being said, try responding with actual material to support things. Your viewpoints on 'saving people' are your own as well, and though I disagree with you, guess what? I'm not going to tell you that you are less than me or try to raise myself on a pedestal and tell you to shut up. It IS what you believe and this is the point of the whole argument, isn't it? What people believe in should not determine what OTHERS can watch. Religion is a PERSONAL choice. It is not something you have the right to silence, nor to say you can silence other people's opinions on it. You believe what you want. Let others watch, see, read, feel etc what they want to, whether they are Christian or not. If anything, my posts are actually trying to defend those Christians that have free-thinking minds and are getting abused by people who deem them too weak-willed to handle watching a freaking movie. This is exactly what Pullman is saying. Organized theocratic or zealous groups in power can become corrupt and no one should have that power to take away personal freedom of thought. If you do not agree with that, do not toss that Martyr Card out again on the table. It simply will not be acknowledged. And rethink that. Some of us don't want to live in your little world of conversion and that equates to slavery.
Next time can you please follow the rules and not use text talk in Intelligent Discussion? Decent topic though, and yes, I know I'm picky. You bring up a good point and rumors do suck. People spread them for a number of reasons. Some people are vicious sorts that see an opportunity to drag someone down and so start a rumor mill going about the person, which often can be lies or like 1/10th of the truth of an incident. Those people are just facetious at the time and don't care about the victim of the rumors at all until something happens. They figure the person earned it and they are usually at the time of creating and spreading these sorts of things, some of the most annoying people around. Anyone who figures out the crap usually tends to dislike these types of people or at least the fact they spread so much agitation around. I think other people are intentionally less harmful and maybe see something comedic and turn the situation to something even more twisted and there it goes, off to the others. They aren't being intentionally bad here but just coloring up a story, because some really love doing that. These often happen too from a tale being told and the Chinese Telephone scenario happens where it just alters as more people learn it. Also, when they hear bad things, they may really believe its true and just want to get the word around because it's important to them. Some weird rumors get twisted like above with the 'swimming' to 'shagging' deal because somewhere it must get muddled and turn into something that any logical person would just scratch his/her head over. Most people though who tell rumors a lot or participate in the drama, chattering etc because they want to be part of the social group and they are bored. It gives them some excitement in their lives to be gossip queens. I really don't like rumors much and any time I hear the "Guess what happened to person X" thing, I tend to listen with half an ear and then it goes nowhere because most of the time I know it's not true or even if it is, I don't tend to care unless the person is hurt or the rumor is so outlandish. Most people know me by now and I think sometimes the only reason I get told gossip anymore is just so people can verify if it sounds real. I'm so used like that, lol What's funny about gossipers in the rumor mill is that they laugh at others and spread rumors like wild fire...BUT if you start one on them, boy do they get mad. :)
So, why don't you post the request in the graphics section? It would get much more attention there.
I read the book and it kind of annoyed me. It was boring and seemed to rob from a lot of other fantasy and even a couple sci-fi books I've read and enjoyed. I really am surprised no one sued the author for some pretty near direct rips from other sources. I see why some people like it but eh, just wasn't original enough even for me.
Roxma is retiring. He said so in a proverbial hypothetical way. It's just a word play to make us think that at first he's retiring, then it's a joke, but in reality he really is. I can read through this. I also have been up for 24 hours and see whatever I want to right now.
Well, I am glad nothing bad happened there. Some kids are lame and spread stupid rumors and to see that half the students weren't there probably exhilarated the ones who started such a nasty thing.
You are onto something here. Some of the cheapest things usually are cheap for a reason. They can kick it out at mass production because of what they cut corners on. Some of the worst places are like that which I've seen. Here I tend to buy things local if I can because you can just go see the farms if I drive out an hour or three in directions and know how the animals exist and all. As with many things in life, you get what you pay for.
This movie really does look good and I can't wait to see it. Lately, they've had a surprising good string of movies coming out. I'm surprised because I'm so used to a bunch of bleah movies in the winter time, especially. The plot sounds great, Will Smith is usually awesome and it looks cool. I have to look up when it gets here.
Sadly, yes, people like to have a scapegoat and it sucks. If they say because he was playing video games that he did this, they will have missed the entire point that he was drinking under age, doing pot, was clinically diagnosed with depression and possibly stole money from his job before he got canned that day. They will also miss the issue that he dropped out of school, had family issues and was socially seeming to be quite inept. But man...maybe it's those video games!!!
Um...I don't know what rock you've been hiding under here. Christians make things all the time to turn people to God. Missionaries go to other countries and along with a 'cure' for some malady pass people Bibles and pretty well force religion on them. I've witnessed it as it happened to me and others. Christians also have been condemning others that if they don't believe in what they do they will go to Hell. I'm sorry but cursing someone to an afterlife of misery that you believe in because someone else does not believe as you do is -pushing it-. Funding things through religion so it can spread its message at people who don't want to hear it is -pushing it-. Trying to force those who aren't of Christianity to see the 10 Commandments in public schools is -pushing it-. Also, lets not forget things like how scientists were suddenly 'Christian' again at their dead bed when these notions never truly happened but it sure hit the paper, such as with Darwin. I could go on and on with examples, but I think I've made enough of a point that the facts go against your statement. As for this movie, it is a fantasy story. It amazes me how Christians can force things at others repeatedly but something that may symbolize something against the religion is suddenly evil and blasphemous. How many Christians throughout the ages have shot down every other deity and forced it to become a 'myth' now? I would think Christians could stand to stop their demonstrations and let a movie be a movie and a book be a book, regardless of what it says in its pages. Christians are -not- martyrs, yet the extremists always want to make them out to seem that way and I seriously doubt this movie is going to promote a ton more recruits to Atheism. Most people, after all, go to watch a movie because...it's a movie! Oh my. Christianity and Islam interchangeably are the top two religions in the world. It is -not- threatened and seriously, thinking so is zealous, and to me, bordering on insanity. Millions of people are Christians. I don't see millions of them saying 'well this movie changed my whole view so now, I don't believe'. Christianity has a tremendous amount of great people who aren't so thin skinned and a silly book or movie is not going to shake their resolve or make them question their beliefs. So fanatic Christians are the ones in the end who think they must 'save the world', 'save people's souls', remove all of the enjoyable things in life because it's a sin, say we are all born in absolute sin and must believe to be saved, compromise their own 10 Commandments such as stealing and lying to preserve their images, and -hate- anything that questions or denounces their religion while they ridicule, mock and destroy everyone else's beliefs. In all seriousness, I do ponder why more Christians who seem to actually follow it better and read the book themselves don't get fed up with fanatics and tell them to sod off, because their reactions really make others look bad and at the same time the fanatics are telling regular Christians that they are -too weak willed- to watch a movie and not be deterred from their paths. If a movie or book can shake a person's devotion so much, that person had to have doubts in the first place and shouldn't we remember that life is about personal choice and growth and let each person experience his/her own life? Jesus never seemed so violent as the zealots out there that are the chief reason if anything that others find Christianity hard to swallow. They are a scourge in themselves and more deadly than any Atheist writing a book will ever be to the religion.
Yes, genetics plays a part in when someone will hit puberty. And yeah, he definitely hit puberty.
Well, DivineLady did bring that up too about Sephiroth's name. Any way, wasn't meaning to say 'everyone' was saying the original name was 'Aeris' but I just had to point out that her original name was supposed to be Aerith and for some reason it was Aeris. I kind of like Aerith better but don't really mind Aeris either. I just think the th on the end is soft and sounds more pleasant unless someone does try to do it with a lisp sort of thing going on. I did like the way Divine Lady explained it which was superior to my own explanation since I can't write for crap in Japanese though I do work on speaking it and all. Thanks for that.
I can see why someone might think DiZ is Master Xehanort, but nah, I'm pretty sure Ansem the Wise had his own identity and purpose and he took in the apprentice "Xehanort" and all who had no memories etc and DiZ seemed to be a basically decent guy before he spiraled to Darkness by the ruining of his home etc. It's pretty clear that Master Xehanort is a nutty guy and didn't seem to resemble Ansem the Wise in demeanor, even for the short info we've seen on Master Xehanort. They also don't really resemble one another in appearance.
Poor Heartless Ansem (Xehanort). His hair was cool enough for me to vote on but no one else has yet. I could never use that much gel, but cool stuff.
Yeah, 358/2 Days and BBS seem to be definites that would ship to the other countries. Coded is the one we can't be too sure about now since it's a phone game. It'd surprise me if 358/2 Days and BBS didn't ship out to other places as much as it would surprise me if Coded actually leaves Japan.
I'd say he had begun to hit puberty before leaving the islands as most boys enter puberty somewhere along the age of 13 to 15, with the most noticeable changes at 15, such as where the voice lowers/changes. Puberty can start for males usually around 10 to 15 though 10 is often pretty early. Girls usually hit puberty earlier than boys by about 2 years. So Sora is about the right age to change and I'd guess the majority hit while he was sleeping as others mention. Since it was clear Riku was 15 in KH and had obviously hit puberty changes to include he was pretty buff, maybe 15 is just the magical age in KH.
