There are a ton of shows and some movies that have that as a 'what if' scenario and it always tends to show a global domination by the Reich and then the heroes all having to try to take out the regime. I think a lot of people have pondered this. Usually the reason hinders on the point that if the U.S. hadn't of gone to help when they did and England wasn't doing certain things, that basically the world would be ran by the Nazis. Time travel sorts of things liked to use this or shows like Sliders. I know there are a ton of things with this concept in it but I'll be shnookered if I can remember them at the moment.
Well the genre point is that -any- RP that would do constructive 'creative writing' methods would fit there so yes, some anime RPGs if they have users willing to do that would fit in. It's just a more in depth sort of writing style incorporated in role playing with an active sort of Game Master type person who kicks out plots and all. That is not to say the other section would be -crap- at all. It's just catering to different tastes in RP and might even get some of the people that disdain the RPG section to like it more because it is a sorely missed element I think. In simple it's just creative writing with a story line that takes more time to do and some of us seem more used to it than the ones that go on currently. So, by no means am I saying the other RPGs out there suck or anything, but this just gears to those who want more of a challenge and to put forth some creative writing, correct grammar and all, and to get 'in character' a bit more with other players and to interact where characters act more like where they are from and if they are canon sorts, well, they'd act more like they do in the games or anime or books they come from. I think for the division issue, it would depend if it met those criteria and if people wanted it there or not. No one has to move such an RP from the 'anime' section if they didn't want to. However, this gives a chance to those of us who love to write and interact in a different sort of RP setting and the players would all match up to what the GM wanted to see, so the GM could auto say that something wouldn't clear and not have people thinking they are being snooty.
Well something like 'Storytelling' RPGs which would fill the gap of slower RPGs where people write out paragraphs and all and the RPGs move like a book. That's the general idea there that I think separates them from the ordinary 'skit' done RPGs which just have the short sentences and all and a loose scene depiction. What Soush did is exactly the kind of genre I mean and if you look at it, it certainly looks different than 99 percent of the RPGs in the regular section. With their own areas, I think more of these RPGs would happen, and would do one myself too, and there does seem some interest. It's not to separate the RPGs based on 'this is crap' and 'this is cool' etc, because we all have opinions there. It is just to separate them on the sort of RPG being done, which is more of a creative writing thing that some people love to do but gets lost in the other stuff. Hope that makes more sense.
It's not division through ability. It's division by the genre type of RPG it is. There's already two places in there, so I don't see why a third couldn't be done. And I've tried playing in the RPG section in two RPGs so I do know what I'm saying here. Sometimes the RP i was on was on page 3 and it was fairly active. One that users post once or twice a day on is going to really get lost amidst that. I guess I see your point but feel this would solve a lot of problems because the sub-forum would be having the rpgs and there would be a smaller amount of them. Ah well though, if it doesn't pass.
Well, without one, that really makes it harder to find RPs some of the rest of us would like which would be more like 'stories' than just line skits. It would be more difficult to find the threads etc. I think it's a real issue since I would love to RP but there's no way to find the sort of RPs I'm interested in with all of the more skit formed RPGs in there that some of us just can't keep up with. I may try my luck at forming a 'KH' rpg here since I run one in a chat group that goes pretty well, but I know it's just going to get lost in there, as will Soush's, and just look at all the thought he put into his! This is why I think they should be separated because there really is a difference in types of RP people enjoy.
Well, you ask a question about seeming to require a lot of attention, and that alongside anxiety would be my guesses of what's going on here. One of the things I can say for sure messes up any relationship is the partner putting too many expectations on the other person. What I mean by that is when you are with someone, if you expect the person to call you all the time, if you don't think of what else can happen that prevents it etc, or that things change, it's too much on someone else. The relationship to the other person can seem more a burden instead of what it should be. Right now, it also seems to me that you are both very busy and working a lot of things out in your lives. I again say that I think you need more real social time with him and less phone time so that you can hang out and do fun things and also enjoy one another's company. You've made it a year (if anniversary is an indicator here), going out with this guy, and I'm sure he has his shortcomings too, but that says something. If you trust him, try to not get so anxious and let him and you enjoy your lives when not around each other and when with one another. This is in a way a sort of test because no one can always be there for you and even if you were married later on, people have to do things separate too. If you can endure this time of not seeing each other as much as probably both of you want to, you will both make it onwards to a more solid relationship. But if you can't, therein comes the problem. Also, if you find that you really are so dependent on getting the attention you need, try to accept it just won't always happen, and if you can't, you may want to try talking to talk to him, and if it's really severe, a counselor about it because that can become an obsessive issue later in life and you don't want that. I'm sure you realize that your boyfriend can't make up for the love your family didn't outright give enough of and that he's going to show love in his way and do what he can, but if you require too much attention, he might try to draw back because you two are boyfriend and girlfriend; not married. As important and great a person is in a relationship, think of them as 'special friends' so that you don't just dump too much on him and also you can relax more yourself. There are certain things you would never do to a friend that you might to a boyfriend, and mostly that comes in the form of demands and such. So, my suggestions at this point would be to talk to him, try to settle things in yourself, and well find some more activities for you to do when he's not around so you aren't always focused on missing him and what he is up to. You both do seem to need a bit more time together and the idea popped into my head that perhaps you are thinking so much on these things because it is your anniversary coming up so it's got you somewhat nervous and all. Good luck! And these issues you feel are resolvable so don't give up hope or despair. The biggest thing in the end is actually seeing there may be some problems there that need to be fixed in the first place, which you are questioning about and researching.
Well then, perhaps a sub-forum would be the solution and others seem to like it. That way people don't have to mold to 'reform' but there can be RPs for others who do like better grammar and other pluses that come from other types of RP and we can find those RPs better.
I thought Timeless River was fun and seeing Sora in old KH1 clothes with the old way they used to draw cartoons was amusing. Those darn cars got on my nerves occasionally, but it was cool to see how they warped Timeless River old characters to KH and it's the reason I liked Tron too. It was seeing old stuff that hadn't been viewed for a long time.
I think the only reason these games aren't doing that well is because they weren't advertised like others are. The marketing for them is pathetic so of course they are going to get overlooked and people will buy other things. I saw more advertisements for Heavenly Sword than any of these games put together.
I'd say Sora in KH2 'looks better' because in KH he looked a bit too kiddish for a 14 year old and also, they made his features a bit more realistic in KH2. Not that I'm saying he's more sexy, because I could care less about that.
Yes, as others have said, it is definitely Xehanort. If it's spelled Xenahort anywhere, it's an error.
I'd say Riku grew the most inches considering he may have been only a few inches taller than Sora at first, but even as Sora and Kairi grew, Riku was instead around 6 inches taller than them both. He also was the one who mentally matured the most and did a lot of things that he never brought up to bother to be accounted for. Kairi would be 2nd on my list. She and Sora grew as appropriate their ages and all but both are going to be average height and you can tell Riku is just going to be really tall and built. Kairi though had a year of time without the two boys to think through things and seeing her actually say she didn't want to get left behind and she did something in KH2 was showing she had grown mentally and was taking charge of her life. Now if she can just stop getting kidnapped so much, it'd be nice...also learn to run, not prance! Sora I would say grew the least amount mentally, though physically it was clear he had grown a few inches. He had a year of rest and so he lacked in that time of development, so in quite a few ways he was still that 14 year old kid, even though he was 15. He had matured 'some' though from his experiences of KH and CoM but it was not as much nearly as Riku had, and he still was rather oblivious to things and approaching things through his child-like manner.
I do think having a positive mind and all can help with at least dealing with a debilitating or chronic condition. If you want to get better, or at least be in the best shape you can, you will work at it. Someone who doesn't care or is depressed about it won't try to do proper things to work at getting well or at least making the most out of what they have. If you are in the right state of mind, you can overcome some of the symptoms of problems and alleviate things by focusing on other things and working on doing all you still are able. Sometimes that is even enough to encourage the body to fight more and if you keep the body fit by the right attitude, eating and doing exercises etc, it will fight more too with defenses. I know quite a few people with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and the ones that do better seem to be the ones that take what medication they -need- but not the extra stuff and accept the pain will be there, but move on about it and do things to keep active and going. The ones who seem not do so well are in the hospital more often, crying and upset, in obvious pain and not knowing what to do. I think once you accept a condition for what it is, you can work at taking control over your life and working around it and that's what I've done for various things that were wrong with me at times, since I have such a wondrous role-model who does have MS to look at and say 'if I don't have something as bad as that, what am I being depressed about'.
Stereotypes exist because some people try to generalize a different group of people by common things they do. For example: emos cut themselves, listen to somber music, wear black, color their hair in exotic shades, wear hair over an eye, are all depressed, could be spree killers. There are some 'truths' in this as many people classed as emos may just do any one of these things or a few. However, the generalization is of course not always correct either. It may not even be half correct. What if someone 'called' an emo just because he or she has blue hair and black clothes just thinks the style is cool, but doesn't get into depressed music and isn't cutting? Are they still 'emo'? If they are labeled such, it will be assumed by those who use stereotypes as defining people that indeed, that person may just be all those other things or have potential to be. Other examples are like how people view men, women, religious, gays, bisexuals, heterosexuals, blondes, red heads, shades of skin, handicapped, etc. Stereotypes are easy ways to label someone into a group, but as I've said before, they are not correct but to say someone is fitting into this one group for a few similarities to it. We are all diverse and in reality could belong to several groups that exist, but some people will try to say that isn't true. We have multiple dimensions to our personalities and those who stick to saying stereotypes are so accurate are generally 1. people that try their best to fit into a stereotype they want to be in or 2. prejudiced people that refuse to comprehend others are more complex than their assigned label dictates. Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason...called the simple minded try to assign people labels to make them better understood and get an immediate impression. Sadly, stereotypes, unless someone really is trying to be absolutely implemented to it, are not 100% accurate even for each person who is said to be of it. We often can joke about the 'extremely' stereotypical and comedy picks up on it all the time, but most people aren't going to fit into a mold exactly just because some prejudiced person says they do. We are human though and love to tack a tag onto everything to make it easily understood. It seems to me most of the time these 'classes' of people are about the same as classes in "Dungeons and Dragons" and just as realistically impossible. It's fun to play a game and all, but in the end, why can't a thief learn to sing? Why can't a cleric use a sword? etc. Really, this is what stereotypes remind me of, so now you know how much of a geek I am to have played this, but I hope it makes sense at what I'm eluding at. Stereotypes, like any 'classes' laid out to people, are just generalizations for a 'crowd' of people and seldom hold up to actually analyzing an individual.
Not to be redundant here but it's Satan, not satin. Satin is a cloth. Satan is the evil bad fallen angel Lucifer that fell from grace and all. I sleep with Satin every night. If I sleep with Satan, we have some issues, don't we? Another thing I'd point out is that there are so many divisions of Christianity because people want to take one thing one way and others take it another. So what you say is true from your perspective and what the other said was from his teachings and perspective. I do agree with your point though that if the monotheistic deity God is supposed to be benevolent and loving, even if you don't believe in the person, if your deeds in life are sound, I'd hope you'd go to the proper more positive place instead of burning in another for all eternity. If I were to believe in Christianity, it is what I would hope for and what side of the line I would sit on. However, there is enough evidence to the contrary for those who search the pages of the Bible, and the fact in itself makes things contradictory. I suppose in the end, you interpret it as you will and I'd always assume to go for the more peaceful thing usually.
Just so people know, because it has been asked a few times, the movie is rated PG-13 since it does have quite a bit of violence in it. So, really, it was not intended for little children any way, unlike Chronicles of Narnia etc. The Dark Materials books also are meant for teenagers on up and have more adultish themes to them. So, the movie was placed at the appropriate rating to begin with. Thought I'd just toss this in there so people aren't going on thinking the film was rated PG or G. =:)
His name is Yahweh. If people don't want to capitalize a 3 letter term for any deity of worship, that is their choice. Also, I find it ironic you try to force someone to use a capital G, but you can't capitalize or spell Satan right.
You don't HAVE to do anything you don't want to. If YOU personally do not wish to see a movie or read some books out there, of course you don't. You have totally missed the issue all along and aren't reading into what people are saying. YOU and EVERYONE else on this planet has the right to do what you WANT to without SOMEONE else (and I capitalize these not because I am angry but to try to get you to see the words you keep missing) or a GROUP of people telling you that the thing is evil and you CANNOT watch it. That is the truest issue here that people have a problem with. Atheists and anyone else, including Christians, who want to see the movie SHOULD be allowed to. They should not receive peer pressure, threats from churches on condemning people to Hell, and being ostracized from their own places of worship, etc. They should not feel that they, by just watching a stupid movie, suddenly have to make a decision between 1. religion 2. a social group versus going and seeing a movie! This is what is wrong here. No one is pushing the movie as in 'go see it' and you must. No, the point here is that churches, both Protestant and Catholic, are trying to FORCE others to not see the movie with a power they should never have. So, this statement here is valid. You aren't giving money to a guy for saying what you believe isn't true. You have every right to, just as I have every right to turn off the tons of Christian shows and not watch them because I think it's fake. You make a choice and stand by it. You get that right. There is absolutely nothing wrong with believing in YOUR own beliefs unless they come to harm others. However, there is nothing wrong with that teacher deciding the outcome of a vote of Islamic following children and permitting them to name a bear Muhammad, which was named after a kid too. Because, however, she does not believe in Islam, and the children decided on the vote and she cleared it, she was punished. This is the problem of when religion goes bad. She made a mistake out of ignorance and her own beliefs weren't respected or acknowledged. If this -is- your belief, you speak from a perspective that says you do not care about anyone else's freedom of will and choice. It is amusing that you miss the point in the end that others here are displeased at SOME churches (and not just the Catholics) and some radical views that say they should force people to boycott a film. It is the point that they are using a power over others they should not have the force to exert. This is not against Christians that say to themselves they don't want to see a movie and so don't. NO ONE is forcing you to go see it. You just refuse to see the issue at hand which people are upset about which is if they WANT to see it and you don't, it doesn't give you the right to make their lives a living hell for it. You don't want to see a movie = you don''t. You don't want others to see the movie = who are you to say that? You want to conform the world in your image = you take away others freedoms. So who here is being forceful of their nature on others? Rethink things and see what the true argument is about before you tell others they are so wrong. No one is saying YOU can't believe as you want to when it comes to your right to have God or not. We are telling you that just because you don't like something, don't tell US what to do and follow your way. If I want to see a movie, I should be able to. If a Christian wants to see a movie or read some books, let the person be and don't make that person feel like crap. If anything in all of this, I feel sorry for the good Christian people who just want to see a movie and the Bible Thumpers that say no one has a free will and they will be easily led to temptation blah blah need to shut up. There are other churches, as Sara said, which are trying to do other things and bravo to them. They aren't closed minded bigots.
The problem though with making your own RP where you would request the RP to be ran slower and with cognitive thought out posts etc and actually being in character instead of fandom things is that putting it in the regular section would make the RP get lost. The threads there change so much and people do answer them all the time with a lot of posts per day, so a slower ran RPG is going to always get lost off the main page or first 10 pages if you get what I mean. This is why I suggested a possible 2nd section sub-Forum so that RPs that aren't the same run of the mill thing could have a chance to survive and not just die out because they can't even be found. Hope that makes more sense why I was suggesting it.
That would be my guess as well. King Triton obviously had some experience on his own dealing with Keyblade wielders and his experience was obviously not so positive. I think that BBS may be where we see King Triton develop this opinion and well at least we might also get to see more combat in Atlantica again.
