Yeah seems we did say near the same thing. One thing we can't know for certain either is that if Roxas was at all mentally aware of what Sora was going through, because at moments Sora did react to Roxas's memories and not get why, is that Roxas did -not- want to be with the Organization any longer. Sora didn't know who Roxas was and all, but it could be that part of his stance against them was because of Roxas not trusting them so Sora wouldn't. I still, even saying that, do not see where Sora was really out of line that badly. I do agree that with Demyx he could have just let the guy go, but eh, Demyx also could have ran off and ignored Sora too. Sora and Roxas...and Riku, Namine and Kairi were not perfect. Yeah, so Sora called Demyx out. Sora had to fight. He had no choice in the matter. If he wanted to meet the threats head on, who would not after all the games the Dark Council played and then the Organization? I would be up there too saying 'bring it on' because that's what the Org was doing any way.
35 bucks..yeowch. I see them on Ebay for 20 something. Also, yeah...where the heck is a Riku figure? Enough games Square...(well that doesn't mean to not make anymore video games of course) ...give us a Riku figure!!!
I'm rather kind of sick of Naruto. The video game that was recently out is okay but really I would hope they would never do something with Kingdom Hearts. The only thing I think that would be cool is a sort of Smash game with Naruto and some KH characters tossed in with other stuff like FF characters and well, whatever. I just can't see a good conductive rpg game ran with Naruto. It would turn out like the bad Rpgs I see around places that try to blend them and they die miserably. I think the main reason they tend to die is because Naruto has a very well established history and all...and Kingdom Hearts has a rich plot developed setting. They just don't mesh well to me at all, let alone the Naruto abilities would be hard to put into KH game stats.
Demyx could have ran. If he was going to any way, why not? It wouldn't be desertion in that case. That makes no sense. He got called out, he turned and responded. He had the full choice to do what he wanted. He went with a reaction. He even had cue cards with what he should be doing...so how is it the Org planned nothing ahead of time? They knew they were going to run into Sora. I'm still not seeing any shred of proof at all that Sora -started- this -war- and that the Org were not manipulating the much of the whole thing. Also, for those who said that the Org was just moving Heartless around and such and what's wrong with that.... If I go to some nation and plant a bunch of land mines and they kill people...am I guilty? Am I guilty if I go out and collect organs from those people who died out there since they don't need them anymore? The Org is -not- innocent and they were not just doing some small crime here. I really think the Disney must have covered up the plot a little too well for kids because the points really are watered down and getting missed entirely.
Not all humans are bad. You have such a bad outlook on everything that can walk bipedal and communicate with one another and wears clothes. That's a serious prejudice and you are one. You need to sit and read the Bible. There's all sorts of animal sacrifices in there, you know. There's also food that is clean (kosher) and not which people were told to eat. What did animal sacrifices do for anyone, or killing a ton of lambs to paint blood over doorways so their first borns weren't taken in Egypt etc? It really does help to know this stuff before saying things like that. Compare that to the fact we have medicines, people live longer, cures for diseases that struck people back in those times have happened etc. I'd say science wins out here because they -are- too our advantage. Religion makes people kill animals and yet it's such a good thing. Today, if people do that they automatically tag a 'Satanic Cult' sticker on it. Just because people 'hold a belief in something' doesn't make that belief a true thing. It is -to those people- but that's also the difference between an objective truth and a subjective truth. If both don't meet somewhere, one is a deception in each person's mind and if they do, it is a truth. Science is in no way a religion. People who do insist on saying that really don't even get the meaning of what science is. It is a group of many fields of -exploration and examination-. It is not a religion in the least as religion makes all your life choices for you, tells you all the answers etc. You can -see- proofs that some things might be bad for you. I also don't see scientists out causing wars. Science is -used- in wars but most of the time people justify war with religion to rally troops. They aren't using science for that. Science is a tool to better or worsen the person who uses it. Religion is a belief to better or worsen someone. There -is- a big difference here. Comparing science to a religion is like comparing an apple to a ham sandwich. I gave you the figures. You can do with them what you want. That is the luxury of science. Things were studied and examined and results happened and you can assume what you wish. The point still stands however that we -do- live longer. The vast majority of people are not brain dead somewhere. Also, the elderly who are happen to usually be older than in their 70s. It won't throw off the average by much. Even if you still use this argument though, no one is going to call you a heathen, blasphemer, or curse you and condemn you to a naughty place that's rather hot year round. I would disagree. I do not wish to offend people here so my apologies are early and I will be brief. All through history there are events that were put in the Bible that either did not happen or were mutated to put God effects in them. There are things taken from Mesopotamia, Babylon, Egyptian and Roman mythos. Note that all other religions of the past too were absorbed and reduced to the status of mythologies while Christianity is considered of the status 'religion'. Even after the Bible was written, mutations kept happening and holidays were annexed and altered, foods were made holiday necessities, etc from European and Northern European areas. A Yule Tree, the nativity scene looks just like Horus's nativity scene to include the star and all, Easter is a goddess's name and yet the 3 day resurrection stuff is then, and I could go on but again, I don't truly want to offend people. I will just say that much of the Bible and after incorporated things were taken from other sources as well as some of this stuff being original. Also, I do not blame -all- of Christianity. The guy was a nut job and the views of common Christians are that they omit much of the Bible and take the meanings and symbolisms that fit in this day and age. Quite a few Christians haven't even read the Bible from cover to cover and those who have know it has its violence etc but choose for themselves to take the good things out of it. Christianity has held well because of its adaptability and there are morals that can be seen as near universal. I do not personally like the Bible and think it is the most violent book ever published but eh, I know that is my opinion. You tried to say though early on that the guy was not a nut job. So which is it? Was he whacked or is the source of information he took to do this wrong? To me, this works along the same lines as someone going outside and stealing a car because GTA is a cool game. Whether or not I like the Bible or not, I still see the man made a choice to take it how he wanted and mutilate himself. This is not an uncommon practice in Christianity for the past, but in modern times, it really is something most would considered outdated and appalling behavior. It still brings up the point though why the Bible is so defended and yet video games are attacked by religious people. No, I won't entirely condemn the Bible because I do believe books should not be banned regardless of material for the most part, same as movies etc. But I'll close this comment with why can't religious folks who tear at music, video games, movies etc and all realize that they are hypocrites? Leave enjoyment alone even if some people are delusional and ruin it for the others. We deal with the nut jobs while the vast majority can take things correctly and not do stupid things like this. That is how things should be done. Look at the individuals and not just remove the material because the rest of us are old enough and not stupid enough to screw things up. Okay, so you say you would not believe something if you don't see it with your own eyes. Yet if you come to the conclusion that the world is -flat- it would be because you were told it first. So in essence, you would go off something told to you initially and have to wait for proof to counter it. This is exactly why science exists and yet you use science as the enemy here. You as an individual have the power to explore your world, life and make choices. This debate though really isn't on science as much as it is on the interpretation of this man's deed here, so I'll get back on track. The Christians who have posted say that the Bible isn't to blame for someone taking passages too seriously. In the past, these passages were much more taken vehemently. The religion does change to fit the society of today and yet again, the Bible is entirely left to interpretation. We can be very grateful that this guy was a nut job and most Christians aren't like this. Denying he was a nutter though as you did earlier implies what? That the Bible is wrong? My point would be that even if I find the Bible to be wrong, in the hands of regular people, it works out fine. In the hands of a delusional man, ...he ends up one hand less.
First off, a 'Theory' in Science is not just some made up thing. People keep confusing science hypothesis with science theory. Theory is actually a thing that holds up and is established with -evidence- to support it and many things go to circulate from it. A hypothesis is an idea or concept tested that may have support and some evidence but not enough to make it a Theory. A hypothesis in science is the word used as a 'theory' in common speak, not in science. Theories of science have many evidences. Scientists do studies on animals for the betterment of humanity and also animals and plants. They do examinations for the environment and all sorts of things. Some of those studies save wild life. Some of them save human lives. I'm sure all those Christians that killed, raped, murdered and tried many people of false crimes just for thinking different, as well as have treated animals as though they were OWNED by man because God said so were so much better. At least scientists have a reason which is to benefit lives. Also, the Bible was meant to take pretty strongly and early Christians even caused revolts etc. The world was a lot more violent back then with excuses. The only thing that makes things worse now is over population and people have deadlier weapons. If we had those weapons back then, the world would have been over long ago. The average life span of people has been increasing for a long time. In 1900 the life expectancy was 47 years of age. Women lived shorter lives due to childbirth complications. Very few people made it to the age of 60. Life expectancy for men now is 73 years old and for women 78. There are people who can live to be past 100 now. This is a dramatic change, isn't it? There is no sign that we will stop being able to push the age barrier as we improve techniques with life. Yes, there's junk food and all but seriously, we aren't sliding backwards. That would be a hypothesis, not a Theory. Also, the point he was trying to make is that despite London being in Harry Potter, the book is fictional. The same can be considered about the Bible, and also some facts within the pages of the Bible are verified and others historically have been proven very false. Not to add to this, some of the legends in the Bible seemed to rip from other legends including those from Mesopotamia and Babylon, where the Jews first collected data to write the First Testament and also information in the 2nd book too which put relations to Egyptian and Roman Mythos but dress it up differently. Just because some book mentions public figures and/or locations does not make it historically accurate, nor does it make it a true non-fictional tale. You are right. People did not always -know- the world was round and many decided to believe the Bible since it made a declaration that the earth was flat and resting on 4 pillars. We -mostly- became sure it was round once we sent up things from NASA to get a view of the earth and there were die-hard Christians there fighting the first launches all the way. They called it blasphemy. However, just because Europeans and Americans by default of the religion were led to believe the world was flat, not everywhere had this in mind. Ironically, there are still some idiots out there who believe the world is flat and nothing is going to change that opinion.
That's a good question. We have been in a rather serious recession for some years now. Quite a few friends I know do feel we are sliding back into a Depression sort of era as more jobs go overseas, people are stuck with menial things and the money they earn doesn't all equate to the cost of actual living. Many people live with roommates and such since living alone is very hard unless you are fortunate to get a high end job. The poverty level is pretty high and the middle class is shrinking. We aren't doing too hot here. However, I do not know that it can get too much worse at this point, or I hope not. We do need to get on the ball and perhaps with a new administration we can rise out of this some. We've taken a lot of stuff for granted and it's why we are here now but if people get more active, hopefully we'll get out of this recession. I don't really see a full blown Depression happening but then again, if we continue with things as they are, our world market value has gone down the crapper and well, it just may be possible.
So are you saying here that God caused these natural disasters to get people to pray and come together? The thought sends shivers through my spine and seems possibly worse than a God that wants to punish people and gives them horrible things to deal with. That's not a very loving God to send trauma, death and torture to people and then it brings others together in his name to ask for help and unification through troubled times the deity caused. I'm just baffled how that can be correct. That's like spanking a sibling and the others come together to beg for the sibling to be okay and ask mommy to stop and then because they all came together, happiness happened. I'm simply lost in this.
Sora never claimed outright war on the Org ever. There is nowhere in the game he says "This means war" or anything remotely close. The Org used Sora, Sora had to stop them. Just because you sympathize with the Nobody condition, it doesn't mean a person can stand by and just let murderers do whatever they want. They could have tried other options but they were zealous in their plight. Also, Roxas, as said, knew much more of the Org's plans and walked away. It was to their benefit, once it was determined Roxas could not be brought to control, to kill him. When that failed, it was better to leave Sora because Sora knew nothing of their plans and could be made to be moved as a pawn. These people don't have Hearts. You keep trying to give them emotions they don't possess to include they were mad at Sora and so they pressed on a war. That fight was always planned. They knew what they were doing for a long time and any actions the Org did out of scheming was long set into motion. They just had to wait for the Keyblade wielder to show up. They are logical minded. They moved and adapted as necessary and Sora was oblivious and having to learn things. He only could get info by Riku's and King Mickey's involvements as the plot was progressing. There was no outright "We want revenge on Sora" and there was no scene of Sora calling all out war either. The Org was going to do what they were regardless of who they had to use. Sora was easier to use when Roxas was not going to cooperate and was not an option. This is why they were stopping Axel from trying to bring back Roxas. Roxas was too unstable to their plans. Also, what did Demyx do that showed he was of any importance to the Org above others? He stole the Olympus Stone. He went to Hollow Bastion and was watching things there. He really wasn't doing things as high up the rung as Xaldin, Luxord, Saix and Xigbar were. He was not really that big a member in any regards. The order of the Nobodies numbers also is when they came into the Org, not their necessary power ranks. Saix was lower than others and yet he held considerable sway over the Org and it could be argued he was at least on par with Xigbar for power. The numbers mean very little. Demyx wasn't that smart and wasn't that big a contributor to the Org. He had menial tasks in comparison with the more apt members. Vexen tried the excuse of he had more rank than Marluxia who was #11. However, Xemnas DID place Marluxia in charge of the Castle Oblivion so this was lame. Also, saying Demyx was such a critical member to the Org kind of defeats the argument of saying Demyx could have had a chance to be saved were he to surrender or if Sora hadn't egged him on. If he was solidly in the scheme and not so wishy washy saying "They sent the wrong guy" well...he would have been just as bad as all the others in it.
Dude, Saix had NO caring for Sora at all! He was trying to get at Axel who was trying to break Roxas out who was ALSO not compliant with the Org anymore. Roxas also knew what the Org was up to whereas Sora did not. Who do you want to try to manipulate if you have a choice? Roxas, who knows what is going on and ran away from the Org saying screw it, or Sora who is oblivious and easier to manipulate? Either way, they needed a Keyblade wielder so those are the two choices. Logic would say to just keep the one who is naive and easily malleable. Saix had no feelings towards caring about Sora or Roxas. Also, Demyx was NOT a top guy by any means. Xaldin was, sure but Xaldin was in the line of fire and trying to corrupt Beast to make a Heartless and Nobody. Saix was NOT a victim. He was one of the coldest people in the whole game. He had a plan, he was a manipulator and he declares himself such. As I said before, he could have gotten nearly anything from Sora when he was on his hands and knees begging to see Kairi and you know...he just found it amusing to have that power to exert. That same power wouldn't have worked on Roxas, would it? They wanted Sora back once they realized Roxas was gone because Sora was oblivious. Axel and Demyx were told to do him in if Roxas was unreachable and they could not get him to acknowledge who he was. However, later it became apparent, that would be lame so they had to stand in Axel's way as he decided on a new plan, and Demyx was just a gopher. He was not that important and the Org really didn't care that much about him. If they had, they'd have shown something towards that.
The Heartless were reduced greatly in number after KH1. However, in KH2 they were reemerging in vaster numbers and it is shown that the Organization had a hand in that, moving them about. The Nobodies were also manipulated by the Organization. Maleficent and Pete really had very little control over the Heartless in Kh2. They were pathetic. The Org was doing most of it and Saix proved quite easily that the Org had stronger wills to be able to take control easily. Xigbar DID make that dragon a Heartless. Xaldin DID try to corrupt Beast and also made the Heartless in the hall. Luxord DID make the Heartless that had the Aztec gold. There were also new Heartless that were Emblem sort in KH2 that the Org seemed to possibly have made which were not present in KH. The Org WERE making Heartless and knew how and also guiding them about so that more people would lose their Hearts, become Heartless and Sora or Roxas (whichever they could get) would use their Keyblades and send those Heartless on to the pseudo- Kingdom Hearts. That is the whole plot to the story. To make a point here, YES there were going to be some dwindling Heartless around if the Org were not there. YES there would be Nobodies too, because they are formed when a Heart gives into Darkness. However, the Org controlling all this and manipulating made them all far deadlier to people. They were attacking worlds, messing things up etc. Without the 'order' of the Org being there, these dangerous creatures known as Heartless were able to easier be contended against, considering worlds had been learning more how to defend themselves after all the trouble in KH. The Organization were controlling Heartless to do what they wanted. Without the Org, the Nobodies and Heartless wouldn't have been such a big deal. The Nobodies really wouldn't have been a deal AT ALL without the Org. This also includes the ones that rebelled such as Marluxia and Larx etc. Marluxia was definitely not going to be any better of a leader than Xemnas and in fact seemed to have less of purpose for it other than he was a spoiled brat. Vexen about showed the same skills for it and motivations. For the majority of the Org, it was not about just getting their Hearts back: It was about power. Also, their sociopathic ways made it difficult to control them but through fear of their existences being squashed by Xemnas. Xemnas was asleep, so CoM had its little rebels. Xemnas is awake in KH2...they all do what they are told, except Axel and Roxas. Also, where do you ever get that Saix was being nice? So what at the end he pines to the moon about where his heart is? He didn't care about anyone else's. He had Sora on his HANDS AND KNEES begging for Kairi's safety and to be taken to her. He made comments how he knew how to abuse a heart since Nobodies remembered what it was like to have them. He would die laughing at the resistance with Kairi and Namine (though I did laugh there because it was ridiculous). Saix could have worked better with Sora if he had any compulsion to do so. Let's also not forget how he says to Xemnas that the game is over. Note, they were DONE using Sora. They didn't need him anymore. In the end, it doesn't matter if Xehanort's crimes get tacked onto Xemnas's or not. The line Riku said "You are messing up our worlds" was true and I truly fail to see how people cannot see the logic in those words. The Org DID make Heartless, were responsible for LIVING people losing their lives so that they could 'POSSIBLY' have theirs and extra power to boot. If you can seriously JUSTIFY the deaths of tons of people across quite a few worlds, the kidnappings etc, the manipulations and all, you fall for the typical psychopathic behavior as I had outlined. Think about it. Yes, if the Org did NOT do these things and heck, if they had just STOPPED doing them and asked Sora and/or Riku for help instead of lying etc...ya know, the story could have turned out a lot differently. The only person who has any ounce of chance of change that did not even try to but to run away was Demyx. There is nowhere in the story where any of the Org asked Sora for help at all. I start to ponder if people just don't think it's because the Org kept calling him a traitor because Roxas was inside him and all. I have sympathy for the Org but seriously...people are calling the person that stopped them from killing and doing zealot acts ...a murderer. He did not kill a single one of them in cold blood. He did not ask to be dragged around to kill Heartless that were being led around by the Org to kill people etc. He didn't ask for his friend to be kidnapped. He didn't ask for his friends on other worlds to be hurt or nearly destroyed. The Org are unfortunate beings, but to form MORE Nobodies, to kill more people and make them Heartless to put their Hearts in a pseudo-KH...ya know, again, murdering so you can get a body part from someone who was living just fine on their own is not right. I just really don't get this at all.
Yeah, they are called Aerial Blades according to the guide and all. In the end though, you can note that he does just extend his hands and the laser blades appear so I don't see them as much as a -weapon- as the other Org members had but more as a power he could use to form them out of his own spirit and they were connected to him. At first they did seem like 'lightsabers' to me, and to many others, but he just extends his hands and the beams form so they weren't really weapons but extensions to himself.
Riku's words were short and curt, as Riku is often straight and blunt about things. "You're messing up our worlds" was true. They -WERE- using the Heartless to attack people. Xehanort, who Xemnas DOES remember, created the Emblem Heartless in the first place. Saix SHOWS that he can control the Heartless and tells Sora that anyone with a strong will connected to Darkness can. Luxord and Xigbar, also Xaldin, make very powerful Emblem Heartless to go against others and are from what?....former people's Hearts. The Heartless aren't just formed out of smoke and a midnight sky, you know. I would say the deaths of a ton of people on several worlds gives Riku the right to say 'You're messing up our worlds'. Death and mayhem tend to do that, don't you think? As for Demyx, you -do not know- that he would not have come back around later. He was a gopher man for the Org, and as said, I agree that Sora calling him out was brash and all, but Demyx made the stakes too by not doing anything else than fighting. Also, you do know that if you lose the first fight with Demyx, you die? So the stakes were there all along. The threat of death was there prior. Sora was angry and challenging, but the Org were enemies. Demyx was running away, but he'd already been a threat. If anything was to change, Demyx could have surrendered or he could have kept on running. He didn't need to turn around. He has a dark portal. I do think maybe Demyx was an Org member, that with a bit more courage, he could have turned out like Axel but it just wasn't happening. I still can't say Sora murdered him. It was a battle both people agreed to. A duel of sorts. Demyx easily could have dark portaled or ran away, or surrendered. So calling him out was presumptuous, but he didn't -trap- Demyx into the fight. I think though Demyx's fight the 2nd time there was the only time I let out a 'Damn, Sora!' because I too was shocked he'd be so rude. However, people keep thinking he's so nicey nice and pure, and they should have paid attention to the fact he isn't always. He did, after all, turn into a Shadow. You have to have Darkness in your heart to turn into a Heartless and he was not all pure in KH either. As for Roxas...without his memories he was more docile because he had -friends- around and a somewhat stable life that Namine implanted in him. As he was altering, he was becoming more hostile. In the Roxas vs Riku fights, Roxas clearly was much more violent and Riku just flowed with things. Roxas was losing the fight with Riku and shouts out "I'm winning!" in agitation but it's clear there he was definitely not, before Riku changed, etc. He strikes at Sora repeatedly again showing his rage and the temper flares when he's bashing away at the computer. Isn't this the reason people -like- Roxas? Because he's more emo, expressive, ANGRY, etc and they see Sora as a goodie goodie who doesn't express anything else and is 'perfectly a kid'? I think more people ought to take a look at Sora and see that even if he has his moments of 'duh' perception, he has very real depth too. When he's sad though, his friends help lift him up. When he's angry, his friends turn him around and get him to focus. Yes, Demyx tried to avoid the fight. However, being egged on, he decided to enter it full bore and made his decision. Also, Sora's friends were in danger by who???? The...Org?? Yeah...so, kinda makes sense to me that he was going after the Org to try to get answers and progress at all. He was being led around on a chain, so if he takes the initiative, he's a killer in your mind. I call it being smart. Not everyone wants to be led around in circles to do someone else's bidding when that someone is an egotistical, insane, megalomaniac, psychopath out for himself. A group of them all together, all the more reason to not want to follow the leaders. Again, yes, Demyx's death might not have had to happen, but you do not know that it did too. He had the power of choice to leave that battle. Sora can't dark portal. Sora couldn't have chased him. Exactly. With Xemnas in power, IF even he was going to follow through with the plan to give the Org all Hearts back in the first place...regular other people living their lives were threatened even more by the Org. No one knows what the Organization would have done. Xemnas, after all, WAS Xehanort who created Emblem Heartless and all. He now was Xemnas who was taking advantage of the hearts of many people to make his goals happen. He had no remorse at all for anything and felt justified because he's who he is. Saix had no remorse etc. Demyx had no remorse. The only thing he wanted to do was run away from danger, which is a meme reaction. He had no care either that could be noted. I do agree Demyx might have had potential to change with a 'hearted friend' as Axel had found and went to fight for. However, it just did not happen. The rest of the Organization, especially the top ones, had purpose and maybe in 358/2 Days we will find out why they were so zealous in their pursuits to get 'whole' and more real etc. I do think BBS and 358/2 Days are going to clarify quite a bit pertaining to the Org and Xehanort/Xemnas. Regardless though of the reasons why, there was no excuse for murder in droves. Especially when they had the power to -ask- Sora and/or Riku for assistance and maybe that would have coerced the aid of DiZ again too. Things could have turned out better if the Org wasn't as 'unorganized' as it was.
Sora used the Dark Keyblade, which was made to unlock Hearts. It was a pseudo Keyblade made of the 6 Princesses' Hearts to unlock the Door to Darkness. Riku/Ansem used it on Maleficent to unlock the Darkness in her Heart that she had repressed to attempt to not be consumed by it. Sora, after facing Riku/Ansem, used it on himself after Ansem explaned that Kairi's Heart had been in him all along. This freed Kairi's Heart and sent it back to her body and also freed the other Princesses' Hearts back to theirs because they have no Darkness in their Hearts. Their Hearts therefore would not be consumed by Darkness. However, because Sora had a body and his Heart is like a normal kid's, with some Darkness such as jealousy emotions he revealed, he was taken by it and lost his body. When he returned as a Shadow, Sora still retained his memories, though he was losing them. Going to Kairi and her reverting him back to normal spared his Heart and memories locked within. However, his short tenure as a Heartless was enough to form Roxas, who may be a fragment of what remains of Ven (BBS) perhaps. Roxas's body, as any Nobody's form, was created by having a lack of a Heart and also having lost the body of the original person which is Sora. Roxas is an odd Nobody in that he may have had a fraction of his Heart because he obviously could wield the Keyblade and was still tied to Sora, which is the reason he left the Organization. He wanted to find out about weird dreams he was having and why he had the Keyblade in the first place. He's an odd Nobody, but at the same time, he fits the Nobody motif. Roxas may have also had that fragment of his Heart because of Sora willingly giving into Darkness to save Kairi. He wasn't doing it out of a malicious or negative emotion reaction. As for Namine, she was Kairi's Nobody. When the Dark Keyblade was used, as DiZ brings up in the true Ansem Reports, her Heart was released from Sora. Since Darkness was used and yet she has no Darkness, her Heart returned to her body, but for the span of time it was released, it was enough to create Namine. Namine was considered by the Nobodies even to be less than a typical Nobody as she had a body formed for her by memories, but still obviously had her own body. Also, she had a soul, but her Heart never had turned to Darkness as Sora's had. So, yes, they are both unique Nobodies in their ways but because the Dark Keyblade was used as the power that divided them up, Darkness was there and present, their Hearts were out of their bodies, and Sora was actually changed into a Heartless for a brief stint, they fit into the classification as Nobodies. Namine was kind of a ghost amongst the Nobodies even as Kairi never lost her body, but her Heart roamed free of it for a time. Hope that helps.
Of course I do not think all sociopaths should be killed or even harmed. As I mentioned, there are levels to sociopath behavior and that needs taken into account. Also, if they aren't really -harming- anyone, they deserve to be there as much as anyone else does. What the Org did as a whole was wrong and only two even cared to get out of it by better behavior than what the other Org members had done. That's Axel and Roxas. The problem with Demyx is that he was with the Organization by affiliation, doing missions for them and he had already gone against Sora once. I do think Sora encouraged that fight and Demyx might have just ran off, if Sora had not egged him. Sora is a teenage boy who is tired, wants his friend back, wants to save the people who are threatened, and wants to go home. In the end, what he did can be viewed as wrong, but at the same time Demyx totally planned to kill Sora once he egged him on too. Sora has his flaws and was lucky in a way that Riku was taken and motivated to do things because Riku's flaws were one thing but Sora has his own. Sora follows his heart and feelings a lot, which we all know if we just go with feelings, that can lead us into trouble too. He's also not the most perceptive guy out there because of it and he has his ideals of protecting people which can go a bit far, especially if the people are 'girls'. He's not a 'perfect' kid by any means, just as Riku wasn't either. However, he was tossed into a lot of adversity caused by adults who had been in this game a lot longer than he was. He does his best. With Demyx, he just lost his temper. Demyx came into that fight preparing to kill Sora for pushing him. Sora wanted to -stop- Demyx and the Org. I do think Sora went about things with Demyx wrongly and certainly had a lot more mercy on a girl that messed up his head and all but eh, as I said, the kid has some flaws. I don't see him as a murderer though and think Demyx named the stakes too, being on the wrong side and not offering to surrender or do anything other than run away to be seen another time. Roxas was -a lot- more brutal and violent than Sora was really and yet people like him. It does kind of confuse me how people can say Roxas is so great all the time, but if Sora loses his temper and gets sick of someone, he's a murderer of many, even though they were all killers. Really, Roxas was a lot more aggressive and has a strong fan base but if he were there instead of Sora, he would not have bothered to ever ask anything. He'd have been on the attack. Why he was like that though can be attributed to his training and time with the Org, and then wanting out of it. Sora's temper egged on Demyx into a fight. Roxas's temper sent him into rages where he really did try to kill people. Fortunately for Roxas, he failed.
BBS and 358/2 Days are both confirmed and would be released in English and to other countries. As for Coded, it hasn't yet been confirmed that it will be out of Japan and if any game out of the new 3 weren't going to make it then Coded would be it since it is a cell phone game. It might make it to other areas but we'll have to see. Phone games aren't as popular outside of Japan and we didn't get the FF VII phone game that was just exclusive in Japan.
If a body was cloned with -no brain- then it would not be able to exist on its own so therefore it isn't on the same level as cloning a person as they are speaking of that has a fully functional brain and overwriting the being's mind with memories and all from another person. That is why I say it is going farther than it should. If a body possesses no way of surviving on its own because it has no brain, to me the discussion changes. However, just putting a fully functional being with a fully functioning brain into existence so that someone else can live, when that clone could seems very callous to me and selfish. There are people that would say cloning body parts, such as skin, blood, organs, would be wrong but I would disagree with that. My only line I really have to draw is on the fact that a living clone could do fine and live life on its own developing but instead now loses its own existence to that of someone else. Also, we don't know what repercussions this would have on the clone or if the procedure could be done properly at all considering this has not even been accomplished yet on a cloned animal. There could be mental breaking down as well or any number of hormonal issues etc. A clone will be made to hold the memory and life of some former person in it, and people's bodies do change through time and all even as they learn and adapt by life. The brain is very affected by this. So, even though it is theorized as possible, I can see there could be serious drawbacks. I think -cloning- in itself is necessary if we are to be able to do things, just as I believe stem cell research is, but I don't really think this angle of supplanting someone's mind into a clone is really what should be on the top of the list to do when pertaining to cloning. There are so many other things we could do instead that would benefit humanity better.
The discussion for 'Soul' doesn't have to be anywhere in this convo from a scientific point of view. A clone of a person is a NEW person. It is not just a carbon copy. There is enough proof on it. That person has its own life just as every animal ever cloned has its own life and can live just fine whether the original is around, dies etc. So to make a clone of someone and just use it for parts or to somehow transfer the consciousness of the being to the other person is wrong in my book, simply because that new person is a new life and why should it be stuck with someone else's life being implanted in it. Kinda sucks. Or why worse yet should it sit around and be used for parts? I really am under the impression that if we can clone, we should be able to clone things like -blood- and organs and not even need whole bodies to do so. As for the immortality thing, eh, I really don't care about that. If it happened that we figured a cure for -aging- suddenly, we would. If there was a cure for aging somehow found, I don't know if a bunch of religious people would say that's just as evil as other things, but how many would hop on the bandwagon to take it, thus making themselves much longer lived unless some other ailment kicks their butts? Remember that cures for ailments in the past have been considered taboo and yet found to work and we use them today. I just think that cloning bodies which could live their own lives, supplanting the mind/memories of the other person over it is like choosing between identical twins who gets to live or not. It cannot be denied in science that this clone is -not- capable of being its own person. Everything in science contradicts that. We have proof of tons of cloned animals.
We humans have a special thing that animals have in minority; to include those with bigger brains. Our frontal lobes are very complex and large, and are pretty well determined to be what helps us have 'control' over emotions and also conscience. When the frontal lobe is damaged or is not used much, often a person may be overactive, hostile, aggressive, or well...not feel much of anything of regret or remorse. There are many studies going on about the human brain and we learn more constantly. People often say animals do not feel emotions, but I would say I disagree with that. Anyone that has a domesticated animal will disagree with that because that animal adapts to your life; especially say a dog or cat. You can tell when they feel sick, there are drugs for cats or dogs for depression because yes, they can get depressed, animals who are abused are timid or may even become aggressive, and for some reason, if you are really sad a dog or a cat will go to you and be curious as to what is wrong. Animals definitely have emotions, but what they do not have is a frontal lobe that is as cool as ours, and of course, our brains are more developed and larger. We do empathize with others and learn and feel benevolence. We are social creatures and if there is a scene so emotional as the funeral you witnessed, your reaction is normal, and perhaps that sadness makes you begin to think. So in that case, yes, emotion inspired you to make a choice to think more about things. Also, memories do help forge us into the people we are and the most traumatic and happy memories seem to be the ones we remember, while the more menial stuff just gets left at the roadside somewhere. Animals do feel things and some even adopt children of others in their packs or groups because of a loyalty or whatever. A baby chimp that loses its mother will sit there and be very depressed and 'cry' in its way and often is taken up by another mother. However, we have the ability to cognate and advance ourselves with that frontal lobe. We don't have to become creatures of habit but can scheme, learn, educate ourselves, push ourselves in other directions not planned etc. Emotions and memories do help, but also the thinking, rational mind propels you too because it's really what will take people places and make things happen. If we were all about emotions and all, I doubt the human species would be where it is now because those people who are over emotional or under emotional are mostly the ones who set us back. In the end my thought would be this: We are inspired by our perceptions that invigorate our emotions that motivate our inventive minds to do things. Hope that makes sense.
Yes Sociopath is the more 'proper' term used in psychology than psychopath. Sometimes people also refer to it as Antisocial Personality Disorder, but ASPD can include some other things too. There are some common things to determine whether someone is a sociopath. Here's a list from a psychology book I have that they refer to. Psychologists will actually give long drawn out tests but here's some simple things common people can analyze. 1. A person who is sociopathic often makes others around him/her feel sorry for the person. 2. The person also tends to make others around feel worried or afraid. 3. The person often makes people around feel that they owe him or her and expects favors. 4. Other people often feel 'used' by this person. 5. People around this person feel genuinely that this person has no real caring for them or depth. 6. They take a lot from others and expect it while doling out very little to others in compensation. 7. They lie without remorse and take from others. 8. They guilt trip others and make them feel guilty which enables them to manipulate people. 9. They take advantage of people's kindness and generosity. 10. They get easily bored and need stimulation. This boredom can result in them doing some heinous deeds that others find very wrong but the person just shrugs it off. 11. They do not take blame for what they do and constantly pass the buck on something else. Of course, a Nobody is going to be the extreme strength of this because they have No Heart at all and can mimic things and recall when they did, but have a void there. There are many sociopaths amongst us who do not care about others or have real consciences. It doesn't mean these people do not know the law and also think it's there to protect them as much as anyone else and logic their way through lives. Some who are heading down the path of 'serial killer' are cruel at young ages doing things to other children and animals. Also, there is generally some signs of instability in the family or something that kicks them down a road of doing acts for which they know is wrong but have no feelings for others to care about it one way or the other. In the really real world, people are cautioned to stay away from those who harm us in such ways and to not get emotionally attached. The ranges of how many sociopaths exist may be anywhere from 1% to much higher and the levels of sociopath behavior also differs, so though some people will have traits and all, it doesn't mean the person is an absolute sociopath. Going through the list I just wrote up, I think we can determine the Nobodies were pretty darn psychopathic. I'm sure others could fill in this list with even more examples than I've provided. These are just ones I recall off the top of my head at this early hour. 1. Xemnas lays on the guilt thick. Saix plays words with it and others try to gain Sora's sympathy to help them in their plights, which are up to no good. 2. The person also tends to make others around feel worried or afraid. * If anyone can tell me that Marluxia, Saix, Vexen and Larxene were not all Sadists in their ways, and Xemnas and others were not going around trying to make others feel afraid, I'd be surprised. 3. The person often makes people around feel that they owe him or her and expects favors. * The Org seemed to feel everyone who lived owed them their Hearts so they could exist. They also expected Roxas/Sora to do things for them but in reality he owed them nothing. 4. Other people often feel 'used' by this person. * Roxas felt used by them. Namine was controlled by them BUT Namine also lured Sora there merely because she did not want to be alone, even Axel wanted out because he had more depth than that. Sora and Riku were being used by them. Riku Replica was used by them probably the worst. 5. People around this person feel genuinely that this person has no real caring for them or depth. * Sora could tell in CoM that Larxene, Marluxia and others didn't care at all. So could Riku upon meeting them, despite all of their over dramatic acting. In KH2, Demyx was called out and his attitude changed and he wasn't running away anymore. Saix even pretty well declares they remember what it was like having Hearts and know how to hurt others. 6. They take a lot from others and expect it while doling out very little to others in compensation. * They obviously took enough from Roxas to make him want out. Xemnas really took a lot even from the other Nobodies and they all were doing things to each other in CoM as well. 7. They lie without remorse and take from others. * Saix lies so plain as day it's pathetic. They all were laying on acts, other than Namine and Axel in KH2 (can't say they weren't acting in CoM of course). 8. They guilt trip others and make them feel guilty which enables them to manipulate people. * They were doing this to Beast, Sora, Roxas, Riku etc. The plot of KH2 and CoM pretty well shows they try to guilt trip them, confuse them and soften them up to manipulate them. 9. They take advantage of people's kindness and generosity. * They kept pushing Sora and using his kindness against him such as telling him Riku was gone and that they kidnapped Kairi. 10. They get easily bored and need stimulation. This boredom can result in them doing some heinous deeds that others find very wrong but the person just shrugs it off. * All of the Nobodies went out of their way to do dramatic displays, seemed bored and amused at other people's expenses etc. It's seen all through the game as they confuse, baffle, make people upset or sad. 11. They do not take blame for what they do and constantly pass the buck on something else. * Xemnas certainly and the top 6 all did not really seem to care about the fact they harmed others, etc. They just want what they want back and that's that. Not a single one of them expresses any remorse and just puts off things when confronted or dodges the issue. It's all about each Nobody and that's what matters. The only Nobodies I saw really with -depth- were Axel (who seemed very empathic to Roxas and did not want to be as he was, developing a conscience because he did feel things from Roxas) and Namine (who though she doesn't seem remorseful over what she did to Riku Replica, has ties to Sora and Roxas and feels genuine for them.) So if Nobodies actually get links possibly to people who can remind them of their Hearts or had ties to them in some way and still cared, it seems to help them if they want it to. They may have been able to be helped, but they chose not to. Therefore, Sora was justified to me.
