In KH: Riku 15 Sora 14 Kairi 14 in KH2 they aged a year so Riku 16, Sora 15, Kairi 15. I believe they grew taller but also the artwork was more 'real' and less Disneyfied than in KH and CoM (except for some large body parts like hands and feet and they are still anime too thin). So they were taller, but it was only over a year's time.
Okay...so what justice is there in making someone suffer more in the after life when obviously the person suffered enough in their life in the first place to commit suicide? It's not like people one day say 'I'm going to go kill myself'. They are in some sort of mental condition, trauma, or anxiety that is going on for some time. Yes, suicide can be considered 'selfish' but is that truly enough to just decide that it's 'justice' to send an already suffering person to more suffering? Seems really hateful to me.
No, I consider them to be the same language. There are plenty of words in English spoken in various areas of the U.S. that mean things, but also you can see different words used in England to Scotland. Added words are just the way cultures work as language develops. I know even though I'm American, I use quite a few British local slang too and my British friends learned things from me as well. The accents and local dialects can be different but we still all comprehend each other when we don't depend too heavily on 'slang'.
Who says it has to be 'one' person making decisions for a world unity? I would think it would work more democratic than that as there are many cultural differences between places that would need to be adhered to and comprehended. I would believe in the end, there would have to be 'nation' leaders still, but the act of lowering patriotism would be a necessity as it sparks many issues. It's nice to know you come from somewhere but radical patriotism is pretty darn idiotic. I think many people would like a more 'open world' where we can go to places, see people, experience culture etc, and not always have to think about war, strife, and also those stupid computer jerks that steal credit cards and email us 1000s of spams and set up businesses for failure would finally be closed down because they wouldn't have diplomatic immunity. There would be more talking and dictators could be dealt with easier, civilians could speak out against abuse and all better and people could move more to where they'd want to live and not be imprisoned or enslaved. There could be great benefits to a more 'worldly' world instead of how things are today. We have more communication than ever with regular common people and that is in itself fascinating. We can learn a lot more on other countries, viewpoints, etc and it's a lot harder to cover up. So, to me, I don't see really people giving up 'nation' controls. I would think of them as big states or provinces where there are rules and laws for each area that fits the people of that region, while maintaining other rules all nations would agree to abide by to be members. I would think also we'd vote for who are 'national' leaders are still as many places do, and also there'd be some way to vote for a president or prime minister or some new word we'd use. I don't see it as a bad thing except I'd hope we'd also deal with the banks and put them more in control. They are doing crazy things to economy and screwing many places over. I highly doubt that power though would ever just be in 'one man's' hands. The nations we live under are too big for one person to deal with, let alone a world.
I would say that it means cognitive processes and thinking patterns. I would not just say it refers to 'book smarts' because someone can be an A student by memorizing things easy enough and yet be so street dumb it's pathetic. I think common sense, rationalizing things out and learning from mistakes to acquire wisdom would be 'intelligent' to me. Also, adaptability.
I disagree that believing in a 'false' god causes people to do irrational things. There's no real proof that there are 'gods' at all but there's no proof there were never any either. Also, people interpret these gods as they will. As for your question about Thor or Loki etc, I don't know if they are any more real to me than Yahweh is. I'm an Atheist and with no proof I cannot say any of it is -real- regardless of how many people jump on a band wagon to tell me it is. The "Majority" feeling that something is real does not mean it is 'true'. I think 'real' gods though could make people do things as well, if they exist though. Also, on the point of Majority versus Minority...a cult is a religion that is not accepted as mainstream. A religion is a cult that has gained social standing in a society. It's a typical anthropological thing. In the end, to believe in any deity is to place yourself in the hands of someone else. It excuses rational thought, condemns personal freedom and choice, and takes away personal liberties. People say they believe because it gives them hope but all I tend to really see is an excuse to blame weakness on sin against a deity, beg for forgiveness to a deity and not the persons that were wronged but think that works so confrontation is avoided, and to try to get out of crimes committed. It also helps explain in black and white a world that is so multi-colored and multi-faceted it could never just be explained through one book. It gives hope to those who will not accept that people die. They need something to move onto and well, in the end I don't know whether there's anything after life, so I choose to just leave the question mark there because the monotheistic religions sound so fake. Also, I agree with Pika_Power when he said religion doesn't seem to be really moving forwards at all. The Televangelists that swear up and down they move away from things are actually slowing people down in the ways of intelligence. It is a cult to me worse than any other group in America at this time and I see their horrible impressions all the time in news, politics and their agendas to wipe out scientific research and dismiss anything outside of a book that was written years ago. They condemn all others who differ whether Christian or not and try to alienate people and it's really becoming a mental disease. I fear that if education were ever taken fully out of the government, kids would entirely grow up in some regions with no science at all and only Christian ethics of fundamentalists. Religion may be accepted as the norm, but it seems to stagnate while spirituality and mental growth, science and other things want to move on and develop. Also, it wasn't 'Scientists' that started the 'war' versus religion, White Rook. There were many prominent Christian scholars that were excommunicated from the Church for their studies and even today scientists get called blasphemers for doing nothing other than studying. Darwin was not a believer but at first he was and even thought of becoming a priest. He changed his own mind and was threatened by the Church numerous times and then the little conspiracy by a religious woman to say he had converted back to faith at his death bed was uncalled for too and a lie. Sure, Atheists lie, but Christians lie a lot more because they have more to cover up and fear to instill. They believe they are 'saving the world'. I'll give the Catholic Church though some credit. The Catholic Church still attempts to do things with science involved such as the astronomy seminar held sometime earlier this year, which does make up for some views and deeds of the past. I don't see other Christian groups even trying except for 'creationist scientists' which are a joke and try to twist science to their views. Science was not out to disprove Yahweh. It was out to find answers and that is what any scientist tries to do. If a scientist happens to be Atheist, he/she is. However, there are many scientists who are Christian and don't go through solid efforts to muddle up science with dogmatic beliefs and instead research. Any ways, I ramble. whee~
The Dark Keyblade was a temporary pseudo-Keyblade made by Darkness and the Princesses' Hearts. It was made more by Ansem in construction and Maleficent. Ansem used it when Riku gave in and let him have control of his form. Soul Eater was there and given to Riku by Maleficent most likely. He used it all through KH and in CoM and in KH2. This was Riku's weapon pretty much after he showed up in Hollow Bastion and encountered Maleficent. He met Sora, as others mentioned, in Traverse Town and used it. Pretty much he always used it except for when Ansem took him over. As for the question on why he didn't use Soul Eater in his fight with Roxas, I would say that instead, because Roxas hurled Oblivion at him and Riku had a link with that weapon as well (Sora gets it after defeating Riku in Hollow Bastion the first time), Riku decided to just use it so he could prevent it from being thrown at him again. He could summon Soul Eater at will, just as Sora could call the Keyblade so I think he just kept Oblivion instead because it made Roxas have to fight with one weapon and he wouldn't be so casual about hurling one at him for Strike Raid otherwise as he had done.
What a horrible tragedy. I really don't see a reason for anyone to be anymore tormented than they already are. I'm sure everyone feels bad enough and accidents do happen, even as bad as this.
Nah, no one I think has gotten negative feedback in any way really. We are just voicing an opinion and they know it. I would hope no one took it personally, because yes, a lot of work went into this. I just do hope there's a second skin reminiscent of the one we just formally used for those of us who don't like this one as much or can't use it as effectively because we have eye issues.
Alish had dropped off some drunkard to the prisons for interrogating in some gambling affair against some Noble girl who had been swindled. The man had seemed more like he also could have been taken advantage of, but the matter was out of Alish's hands. Many did not want to frequent the poor areas of the region, since at times their lives might just be forfeit to the many assassins down there, but Alish had grown up there and knew mostly how to avoid trouble. The goal was to be more bad than the bad. His work for now was done and so he headed to the room of his assignment and cleaned up, shaved and clothed himself in his 'downtime' clothing, which was not much different than his Knightly garments. Black pants, black buckle boots, black hardened leather armor with ringlets down it, and now a worn black cloak. It was obvious this must be his favorite color, though why certainly wasn't because some people believed it was evil. He was not an evil young man in the least, though he was hardened by the way the years of his life had went. He moved out into the streets, heading down to the market area to browse through things and of course to keep a watch out for thieves. He may be off duty technically, but a Knight's job was 24 hours a day all the time in his mind. Estavel was busy at this time of day and he stopped by a fruit stand and paid for an apple, and began consuming it as he walked. The day was like any other and he mulled over very little as he hated to keep his mind clogged with useless thoughts.
This is just lame. Did they stop and think because they are in an environment where violence can and does happen that perhaps the video game took it from reality in the first place? They might as well blame movies which also play up the fact that many prostitutes go to areas that are hard places to live in and violence happens. It's not like GTA is the first thing ever to paint this scene. It's been done for years. Maybe they should also blast "Cops" the TV show for airing things with prostitutes in the shows getting caught and also being crack addicts. If they want a new image and safety, perhaps they should fix up their own lives instead of beating on a video game that just portrays an exaggerated lifeway they live and promote.
