Harvey Birdman stood up. "Objection! Just because -someone ELSE- had a weapon does not mean that the girl would pick it up. She has never used a physical weapon in any records presented and to decree she -could have- grabbed one is a statement that even refutes his own arguments. So the witness should have 'grabbed up a weapon' to avoid being hit by someone else who has physical prowess? Then he would be charging Namine with drawing a weapon and presenting a possible threat to Larxene, which is clearly not the case. This does not help his own case at all and he is once again trying to pass the buck instead of examining the scene at hand with hypothetical toss-ins."

Harvey then gave a curt nod as something else crossed into his mind. "Also, the Keyblade may not even have stood in her hands since it is choosy about its wielder and would merely have gone back to Sora. Therefore the girl clearly was without a weapon and even if there were one, why should she pick it up? Does Namine even -know- how to use a weapon? I'm sure the Defense will try to say that then she felt she was in 'no immediate danger' but the point also can rest on the fact the witness has never used a weapon and may very well not know how to, which is what kept her intimidated her whole time in the Castle Oblivion."

The second movie was alright but not as good as the first. The first just seemed so flawless to me in some ways and rolled through nicely. I think the second one was a downer because some characters were not the same actors and the plot was not that good. I will say though it was still better than the awful Street Fighter movie with Van Damme in it.

I hardly watch TV anymore. I never was really 'stuck' on TV because I like to go out and do things rather than let the thing absorb my brain as it seemed to for my parents. Their big event at times was to come over and sit and watch TV with them for hours...boring. Of course, I won't tell them that because they've made it their lives.

I much prefer the internet as it allows me to read up on stuff I want to, see some shows I want now and then and interact with people, using my brain still. If the internet went away, I would be as sad as those addicted to TV. I just feel the internet is more 'healthy' as it does allow you to do what you want more, learn and actually still talk to people, and I can get news online that seems more accurate from a variety of sources to cross information. If I do watch TV, which I can miss for weeks at a time, I usually catch things on the Sci-Fi channel, History Channel, Science Channel, Spike TV, Discovery Channel, and Adult Swim.

It is kind of funny that here many of the answers to this have been that people don't watch much TV. Kind of cool when people in droves are accused of being so addicted to it.

I didn't mind Spirits Within. Yeah, I expected 'more' out of it, but I thought it was a decent story and the graphics were done very well. I do agree it could have been better but it's not the worst movie I've seen and it did have aspects of Final Fantasy within it such as the life stream, ancient beings that were souls in despair, world destruction, a Cid (even if for some reason they spelled it 'Sid'), the egomaniac that made the problems worse in a bid for power, etc. It wasn't the magic flinging, sword battles and stuff I'd have liked to see but it was okay to me.

Vampire Cells, I agree with you about AvP. I won't say they are the 'worst' movies I've seen but I'll say that they are a big disappointment compared to the actual Darkhorse Comics and video games. The Darkhorse Comics on AvP is what made it popular in the first place and encouraged video games. They were great stories with drama, the fight to survive, and real depth to the characters. It's a shame that AvP movies can't be directed by someone who actually read the graphic novels because then there'd be a -real- movie instead of a simple non-reasoned slug fest between Humans, Xenomorphs and Predators. Very disappointing.

I loved the Resident Evil movies. =:( . I agree they took some liberties but Alice was always cool to me and it was nice they did some movies pertaining to a very low profile character in the series.

It is so interesting though to come back here and see this section as it grows lol. Some movies seem to really have no one in the world that liked them. I should read back and see if anyone mentioned BloodRayne. And I agree about the 'Legally Blond' movies. They make me want to hurl.

No, Riku stayed in Darkness because he had to. He was bound to Xehanort's Heartless and if he left he may change back to him. If you played CoM you would realize that he was not being emo here. King Mickey also had to stay on that side. His entire side of the story in CoM is pertaining to his struggle with Xehanort's Heartless trying to take him over again while having to also contend with Org members who either don't seem to get what his problem is and play with the Darkness in him or want to use him to go after Marluxia and Sora. You do not need a manga to say that and you know what? The manga didn't.

The Manga seriously...is fine for humor, fun and a laugh. However, it is -not- canon. It does not tend to give out 'more' information but I couldn't take it seriously. I have no idea where you consider it to be providing more realism. Most people would agree it provides less mature scenes and is a funny twist on the story. It's entertainment and a way to 'relive' the game with some twists and not have to replay it. I'm sure in the actual games, the characters were meant to seem more serious than Repliku wandering off with Vexen clones, the Org being obsessed about pickles and having a 'work chart' of responsibilities that were menial they would never do in the Castle, etc. The manga, I'm sorry to say, made the Org all look as stupid as Sora can be in the games and I prefer the actual CoM Nobodies and the story of the game as more 'mature' and great nemeses than the manga by far. I laughed but really, I don't see how you consider them canon at all and not actually weaker than the story in the game itself.

In actuality, the video games themselves are more 'grim' than some people see. It could have been a higher game than for kids, such as a T rating for some of the very serious issues but young kids tend to miss nuances. Nomura really has been brilliant in making these games because there are many youthful themes and such but let's think about it and see how serious they really are. Heartless that can devour a person's being, Nobodies stuck as they are, people making a clone and sacrificing his individuality ruining his mind, a girl held against her will made to conspire against people who did nothing to her and she in fact had a bond with, messing with some people's memories is a serious assault, using someone for a coup against a group you are affiliated with, worlds taken by the Heartless, someone bent on revenge for his world being destroyed etc. These are pretty adult themes. I think if you play the games through twice that you do see the adult themes more and the last thing anyone should claim is the manga that waters it down a lot by not even showing these deaths etc is not more mature than the actual hidden layers in the game itself. The game probably -would- be a T rating were it not for the Disney which makes it possible for anyone to play because it sugar coats these very adult themes in it. Sorry to refute you here, but I just had to point this out.

It's sad but I never really did set them up in either game for some reason. I always found I was quick enough to not do it so never bothered as sort of a bigger challenge. It's funny to admit I was too lazy to do a task of setting them up and yet went the long way to cast spells. However, I'm not a big magic user any way and instead focus more on abilities and physical strategy using spells mostly to cure or do some tasks like magnet and when required others. Lethargy = more work later.

Well of course we weren't beating ourselves to unconsciousness but neither did those kids. However, explaining all of those bruises from actual sword hits would be interesting. We always just went to clash with the weapons; not each other. After all, imagination isn't supposed to hurt too bad!

I do think the parents may not be seen as well, but might be mentioned. However, I agree that they are probably alright or else the boys would be pretty upset and it would be a hard burden to cope with. They'd both in their ways feel quite responsible. I'm pretty sure with the ending of KH2 though that the parents are fine because neither of them seem stressed out and it appeared in KH1 at the end and KH2 that Kairi had just resumed her life living with her adopted family with the mayor (and wife presumably) so I think it's safe to say their parents are fine but Nomura really doesn't want to focus on them as much as the 3 characters themselves.

OOC: I am more used to Rps like this so glad it's turning out that way. It's been detailed and people know their stuff. BTW if you want, I could play Zexion. He's one of my favorite Org members and since he's been dropped it would be cool.

Also to Pika, yeah, I see that more now. It just seemed a bit excessive as Objections but it's fine. I didn't get the 'objection' part for some reason. Probably because I was exhausted after work.

Yeah, I've heard of this. For those who keep griping that we spend too much in space awareness and technology for space exploration...this will come as a surprise won't it? There is a possibility this could happen though it seems quite slim in odds by what I've read from the NASA reports the public can see. However, it is worth at least keeping an eye on. I remember in 2004, I think December, there was a scare about it. The chances of it impacting earth seem small but yeah, it is something to watch for and we may even have the tech to deal with it should it come to the fact that we are actually in some danger.

In 2013 apparently is the next best opportunity for scientists to get more readings on Apophis so I guess we wait till then and find out if anything changes or not. I'm not really scared of it though. In a way I kind of find it cool that it will come so close and we can see it and I'd be out getting my telescope because I'm a geek like that. Of course if it impacts, that will suck because it would affect several kms of life and depending where it hit could make other things happen. However, no one is predicting a 'winter' effect out of it if that did happen to transpire.

I used to do that. >.> When I was growing up we'd go out and play with sticks as swords and say they were lightsabers or some medieval movie thing. Oh, the good old days when parents let kids be kids and disciplined them for the 'right' reasons but still let them play. I feel so old saying that. Of course, my friends and I didn't really do that at the house though. We kind of ran off into the woods by the house or at the playground at the school on weekends or after school so now that I think about it...my parents probably didn't know. lol

I agree. I feel that people judged Lexaeus off the fact he was a huge guy and associate that with automatically meaning he's dumb. He also was silent, but that fit his name. He seemed to have a sense of order about him and the way of the intelligent warrior. His words when he did speak were no nonsense and straight up. Maybe he wasn't an uber genius like Zexion or as schooled as Vexen but he was pretty intelligent and actually seemed the most calm and reserved about all that was going on.

OOC: Pika, you can't really testify for Namine or clarify points. All you can do is say Objection and state why, and if he is leading the witness or badgering her you can state that and the point of why. I don't believe you could interject with these other points while the Defense is up...same thing when the Offense is up and the Defense shouldn't. It's 'their' time.

OOC: I don't mind if he plays Lexaeus but it is ICSP's rpg so it's his call.

Riku wasn't impressed by Namine's clarification still. The point was that he -left- DiZ and stayed with him just so Sora could be awakened. He had told DiZ that revenge was a stupid thing and he wanted no part of it. Namine obviously didn't get it. When she had questioned Riku about what DiZ had wanted, Riku only really got that out but Namine never had bothered to ask Riku what he felt, even though he had taken her out of the scene. This was how Namine was. If it wasn't about Sora or Roxas, who cared? He figured that if he was exaggerating, it was no different than how badly Namine had exaggerated about him and what his cause was. Had he wanted to back DiZ he would have remained. DiZ had been very keen on using Riku for help as well.

"She really doesn't know a thing about me or what I was doing", he mumbled. Then again, Riku was a quiet person anymore. He had learned that the better part of valor was discretion. Perhaps here it did not hold true.

Repliku gave a little yawn as he watched Namine continue to testify. Hearing about the whole incident at the Castle Oblivion from Namine's point of view was kind of boring. When he got to testify, he so wanted to make it more vibrant or something. He glanced over at the Organization members he didn't know yet with a curiosity. Vexen had said he was one of the older ones, as were Zexion and Lexaeus. The white haired man was obviously Xemnas. He just had an air about him, an aura. It dawned on him that Vexen was dumb in some ways and yet brilliant in others. Why that came out of the air when studying Xemnas, he wasn't sure.

He then studied Riku. His life was supposedly a copy of Riku's. Even now the memories stolen from Riku ran in his mind though he was learning to accept them more. He figured out that Axel had duped him but then he debated why and thought he might have the reason. After all...who wanted a person such as Repliku around to meet the superior and have to explain his existence and what purpose it was for? Even if he got the point, he still was kind of ticked at Axel. However, he was more angry at his creator for letting them do things to him. He was more angry at Larxene and Marluxia...and sad to say, he had some anger towards Namine too. In the end, Repliku realized he could about hate everyone at the Castle Oblivion who had been there...except Sora. He had been so genuine. He would think about Riku...because in the end, he did stay and try to offer some comfort. It was sad that he was created as a tool against the two and yet they were the only things remarkable that stood out at the Castle. Of course, if people reacted to what Namine had already said, he could imagine how things would grow worse as other people went up to testify.

We may understand it more and I would assume after the kids got back to the Kiddie Island and reunited etc, they probably went home. After that is when they went back to the Kiddie Island later and looked at the bottle from King Mickey. So it seems some time elapsed and we can just 'assume' the two boys went home to catch up with their families. I am curious what they would say as to why they were missing over a year but maybe we'll see that in KH3 after these other games.

As for Riku being old and just leaving...I don't think a 15 year old disappearing is any less important than a 14 year old disappearing. I believe the reason Riku wasn't thought about is because of Namine doing what she did to Sora. Kairi and Selphie only dimly recalled Riku as some boy they used to see occasionally, not as a good friend they hung around with all the time. So it would seem that while some may have vaguely recalled Riku, he was in the same boat as Sora and not really remembered. Thus his parents probably didn't freak either. I get confused when people think Riku is so much older than Sora or Kairi. He's probably not even a full year older than them as it would be weird to have someone have the same birthday one year apart from two other people that they are best friends with.

Piercings and tattoos are denied until a year later due to the fact that some tattoo/piercing places are not so hygienic despite the laws we have in place. Most are but for a time years ago they were not and a lot had to change to recognize this. Some places did not use new needles for each patient to cut corners and save. Also, some people give themselves home tattoos or piercings and have shared needles or not properly disinfected them. Basically, they just don't want to take a chance on a person until after a year because of this reason and the fact that piercings take a while to heal and you can get 'poison' in the blood if they are infected at all.

I will state that this is a matter of opinion. To a religious person that believes and has faith in the religion, it is true to them. So, expect some people are going to say yes and others will say no. There just isn't a universal answer here.

Having said that, I believe there is -minor- truth to religions as they all seem to be designed as a way to control and uniform design the population of an area for a way of life. They are often part of a government system to tell people what is 'right' from 'wrong' and what is socially and privately acceptable versus what is going to get you in serious trouble. They also are status givers in a society. Some explain about spiritual things that can even be explained in science such as chi/ki.

Having said that now, anything else about religions I consider to pretty much be over exaggerations, stories, and ways to explain phenomenon that cannot be comprehended such as all of the miracles, explaining how trees grow, castles in the sky, the world's creation, deities that control people's destinies in the after life and do catastrophes on earth to punish humans for failing them, etc. This all I personally believe is hogwash and a way to control people to be what others who are the 'leaders' want them to be. These are fear tactics to put people in reins and with the occasional miracles that go on the side of humanity, we are expected to praise forces that have no proof in existing to me. I'm not a religious person at all, so my opinion is the vast religious tall tales, sins, forcing people to live in cast systems by design of a greater deity, and the deity's(deities') existences are not there. If there is a deity or there are deities out there, I do not believe any are as humans have described them and people have taken great advantage of them to make these societies designed 'around' them to give people control of others and keep the masses ignorant otherwise.

So, I leave certain phenomenon I cannot explain open and look for reasonings behind them such as ghosts, auras and such because though I can find some mystery out there, I believe sooner or later these things can be explained scientifically without all of the mumbo jumbo things attached that mean people should be dominated by others through manipulation of beliefs. There are things I cannot all just easily explain that I have seen, but some other mysteries I have gone and answered and believe if I can answer some, I can answer more as years progress. I get disappointed in religions that teach people you cannot live without them and also insist that people cannot be 'good' without a religion. People actually think this, which is rather disturbing.

So with evidence to the contrary in immense levels, most religions I believe cannot be 'true' but they are a social society creation. All through history, any religion originally began as a cult and caught on because it brought things to people and made them happy and oppressed at the same time. However, I do accept others believe in religions and put their hearts into it and so the things they get out of it to them are real enough to accept. I don't buy religions at all but do not hold it against those who do because if that is what helps someone feel he/she has more control in life and helps them be a better person, then so be it. I don't see a reason for this control but through self and law of society but it does in the end come down to if a person believes or not. I don't. Others do. If they believe, they will back it 100% that it is true even if admitting that some of the things are old fashioned now and written from points of view that were closed minded. I just choose to put my 'faith' in other more real things to me.

That is basically my point. After researching it and finding that the guy in fact starved the dog to get his emaciated picture, that is where I draw the line that it cannot be labeled real art. Had he found the dog that way, sure, it would bring awareness of the emaciated dogs around and promote a sympathy sort of feeling etc. Having done what he did, it stirs instead an anger because that dog would have been fine if he had not done that. So the meaning kind of gets lost in art interpretation when you know how it originated.

Having said that, the picture is over with and the dog is already dead. There's nothing to do about it. However, since his 'artwork' did inspire things probably not how he intended once people knew the truth and instead causes rage and now a petition against it, well, good. The dog won't just be forgotten for the crime done against it and it is a fact that dogs do get abused like this. So the 'art' stands to show that there are just some crappy people out there and though this guy made some money off of it, the awareness of the deed he has done is causing a reaction that he probably did not expect but at the same time is good. You are right that the dog now will not be forgotten so easily and it opens eyes to this while other dogs go on getting this treatment or worse.

If people are so against it, I'd suggest doing things like joining the Humane Society. I don't really advocate PETA though because they are ultimate extremists that just go too far. Also, we can always do our parts to be aware by taking care of our own animals or taking in a pet from an adoption center. There will always be people that treat animals poorly. There will also be always people that do not.

I hate to say it but a democracy with members etc doesn't really work on a forums. This is what the staff is for. The staff can ban someone who needs it. If there's a problem with someone being banned, you pm one of the staff and discuss it. It really doesn't seem any of our business who is banned as a whole and our interference would make it seem more of a gladiator fight than actual 'justice' in any way. All of us do not know each person that comes here so what are we going to care unless we actually do know the person?

There are a lot of members so this would just be impossible to implement and I think it's fine as it is. We depend on staff to do their jobs and if there's an issue, it should be taken up with them to present your side. Most are pretty fair about it and would deal with it as quick as possible, whatever the problem is that would require a group decision. Also, who wants to really be bothered with a vote on kicking someone off or keeping them on the board etc except for those who like drama? And lastly, that is very humiliating to any people who would be set to be 'judged'. This way is much more quiet and this doesn't protect the people who make the choices. It protects the people on the side of getting a choice made about them.

I really can't see a need for a vote ever but perhaps for some things like maybe 'should we have another skin for the board' or cosmetic things like that which affect us all. Otherwise it really is none of our businesses and if you feel it is, pm those who make the choices.
