Harvey awaited the Judge's decision and shook his head at the pokemon. "Pika, he's awake and has been awake. We are moving on. Take your places again, people."

Riku relaxed, waiting for the judgment. He was more than ready.

Sora gave a nod to Kairi and then shrugged, not getting what was going on with the new guy. He turned and looked back to the Judge now.

Sora could barely do any damage with the wooden sword at Hollow Bastion. Beast going with him had his claw weapons and Sora going with him but Sora hardly could do anything to them at all himself.

In the end, all I can figure as to why the Keyblade is special and why the Org hounded Sora and Roxas was because it was needed to actually deliver the Hearts to Kingdom Hearts, or in the case of Xemnas, trick them to going to his pseudo Kingdom Hearts. If anyone could do that, then Xemnas's whole mission point of bothering Sora so much was ridiculous and had no merit at all. The Heartless are also drawn to the Keyblade's power so it is important too that he can bring them out whereas in some places they hide until Sora does show up. However, it's clear that if the Org could have killed the Heartless to make them go where Xemnas wanted without Roxas or Sora, neither would have been critical to his plans.

So, though it's -really subtle- and others can 'fight' the Heartless with weapons and magic, I don't think they really can release the Hearts without Sora being there as the Keyblade may be what sends them on and prevents the Heartless from either being utterly destroyed to include the actual Heart contained within, or they just reform somewhere else. I can't think of another explanation yet that could explain how others can fight them but yet what makes a Keyblade so special as the reason is hinted at, but never absolutely spelled out for us.

Harvey was more than glad that finally this would be heard and one of the worst members would get charged with at least some of the charges placed. To him, each thing had been more than proven and though he wished other charges shown had been added as well, what was there were the strongest points so he awaited the Judge's decision. The new man that had arrived on the scene was enigmatic. He definitely had a presence to him. But he seemed to be only so interested in the case itself but instead more intrigued by what would happen afterwards. Harvey sat down and awaited for the hopeful event that the recess would be over and the charges would be set so they could move on.

Riku finished off his meal courtesy of Kairi and Sora and dumped out the remaining stuff in the trash. He sat down, not sure what to make of the other new guy but figured at this point he didn't really like him. There was something just sinister about him. However, hearing Janexna speak, at least now they could get back to the matter at hand. The charges the Org received were something intriguing to him to see and he knew that it was only going to get more interesting from here out, or he was going to fall asleep through them and get someone to poke him awake at each final verdict.

Sora went back to his seat figuring he wasn't needed up at the stand now since the Judge would hopefully go over the charges. He didn't like Marluxia hardly at all but it dawned on him that all this bureaucratic song and dance was just kind of bleah. In a way he wished they could just all come to some sort of agreement with Xemnas and the other Org members to turn over new leaves and that help could be there for the Nobodies but at the same time, they wouldn't be doing bad things too. It would sure make all this stuff easier if a solution could be made that way, wouldn't it? He looked over at Xemnas a moment and was thoughtful on it, and had a feeling if he did try to talk to him that the Defense would get all over that...let alone the prosecution too because if they did all settle on something else, this court case would be done for. He had to really think what the right thing to do was here as he turned back to the stand and hoped recess would be over. He glanced over at Kairi. "Do you think this court case is a good thing?"

Repliku yawned and sat up, hoping now that the Defense people were done with their dancing around things could move. He was glad. He hated them both. He wanted out of this court case and to get as far away from the biased jerks as he could be before he was tempted to hear anything more about being a nothing that deserved no justice at all. He hoped they'd both at least suffer painfully and no one would show them mercy sometime and see how it felt. Soon his plan would unfurl and then he was out of this joint. He took out the paper and clenched it in his hand now waiting. He knew that he couldn't bear to watch much more of this and just restrain himself.

No, it doesn't make you grow faster. All the hormone is meant to do is replace a deficiency of the hormone in Autistic people. It is a natural hormone and because autistic or asperger's individuals are found to be very low in it, giving them a boost of it to normal levels was shown to improve their condition. So far any way.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH...with the Objections.

They make me dizzy after a while. lol

I will say though that the Nobodies in their ways were probably stronger than their Heartless on average, and possibly more powerful than their Somebodies.

Ansem/Xehanort was presumably not as strong as Xemnas so though Riku could take out Xehanort's Heartless on his own, it would seem that Sora and Riku were required to deal with Xemnas. Dark Aura in CoM was really hoss but I'm sure Dawn Riku will have some cool abilities too. We just couldn't see many but it's clear he can do some miraculous things in reaction commands at least. I do really hope next game they let Riku be someone who can be customized and all like Sora can in the games. It would be nice to see his full potential instead of him just being a support character all the time. CoM was cool for that.

    Coed PE

I disagree. I think it's both some guys and some girls that ruin it. Doing Coed PE on the guys' side can be nervous too. It doesn't help that some girls stand against the wall smacking lips of bubble gum and acting like they smell like roses the whole period while putting people down. It doesn't help that there are some guys that act like jerks because they want attention and want to tease some girls or other guys who like the Coed option. There are people that ruin it from both genders. There are others though that make it very fun and really the problem could be fixed if gym teachers would boot out the wall flower girls and the hyped up boys with bragging issues so everyone else can enjoy themselves.

I decided to try to look up what I could on the hormone since I have heard of it in my science classes and thought it might be helpful to people, especially with Asperger's or some other variant of Autism to have so they are familiar with what it is in case out of the blue someone someday does bring it up. Doctors often don't tell us what they are giving us and what exactly it does.

So what is it? Oxytocin is a chemical that is produced by mammals, including us. It is released when people 'touch', 'hug' OR during intercourse actions and orgasm, as well as it is used to induce pregnancy and for breast feeding. It does not mean a child is going to go out and have sexual premature fantasies or lead into sexual behavior early by what I had read and I'll explain that as we go on. I apologize that this will be somewhat long as I cannot find simple ways to explain it and not cut out important parts. In the brain, the chemical works and is also possibly related to assisting with growing trust in others and forming social bonds. It may even be connected with recognizing others need help and generosity.

So in what ways can it help someone with Asperger's? If someone wanted to use it, it could help with mirror functions so that Asperger's people see more around them as to what is going on, since there are MRIs etc that show the function of mirror processes is lower in someone with Asperger's and Autism. This is important because many people with Asperger's and Autism do not recognize things going on about them, realize facial and body expressions of others or feel empathy as well to know what to say when and it often makes them SEEM non-caring. Common symptoms of Asperger's are that people with it do not also recognize voice intonation to note when someone is upset, telling a joke, being funny or picking on them. Also, someone with Asperger's often feel rather clumsy physically though in other areas of development they seem just fine and often are astute at learning things.

Tests have been conducted to show that if someone is experiencing troubles, people without Aspergers' will have some reaction as if understanding what it feels like to be in that predicament, that they in part are experiencing it too. We have mirror techniques employed commonly which is why people will really get into sports and be 'arm chair warriors' or people express in other areas they would do something different in the same circumstance though they aren't going through it. Someone with Asperger's is less likely to be engrossed in sports or some other thing such as a movie scene that is highly intensive (not everyone likes sports. It's just an example.) as their mirror sensory is not the same and less activity is shown. They won't feel as though they are a part of it hardly at all. A common test of interest showing mirror skills at work is when a guy walked down a busy city street carrying 4 boxes on top of one another and they swayed and he was really fighting to keep hold of them. Typical response was others stopped or turned and gawked or offered a hand, or moved out of the way because they felt they understood the situation the person was in and by no means did they want to interrupt it. Others may have laughed but still had a reaction. Someone with Asperger's or Autism might not even notice it or feel disconnected from it because their brains don't conduct as much to processing it. They won't empathize with the scene and so some may consider that because they do not, they are unfeeling. Of course this isn't true and one of the misconceptions of Asperger's and Autism in general.

Many people with Asperger's can get by just fine but what about those that cannot and wish they could? This is not just a 'sex hormone'. I would say that more studies need to be done because the hormone may actually affect females more than males as this chemical is also released during child birth for cervical issues concerning contractions and after to stimulating breast milk. It is noted that children with Autism -do- have -significantly- lower amounts of oxytocin so it shows there is an imbalance there. There have been tests that study administering oxytocin to some autistic children caused an improvement in their functions of perception of speech intonations by other people and also in lowering behavior repetitive patterns.

The hormone also has signs that it helps with withdrawal symptoms to drugs and lessens a person's likelihood of being dependent on a drug such as alcohol, cocaine, etc. Apparently the only way the drug can be administered is by shot or by nasal spray because otherwise it gets destroyed in the gastrointestinal tract.

I am betting there are some 'side effects' as there is with all medication but I thought I'd research this more because I knew the chemical was not just a 'sex hormone' and was curious as to what they were pointing at that could aid people with Autism at all. I don't think, with the right dose it would change much about a person but perhaps make them more empathic to the world around them and make them feel less like they are disconnected, which causes people to be depressed. Of course, if they use it wrongly or keep misdiagnosing people with Asperger's, which has been a serious problem in the last few years, then people will get the drug that do not need it or it will turn out that it is not beneficial.

I'll try to find more side effects or negatives of the drug. My worry would be that females probably could not use this, especially when pregnant unless they could determine the proper amount. Too high an amount would seem a very bad choice and that it might induce early pregnancy if the woman's body naturally begins producing the chemical early into the last months of birth. In males, if -too much was used-, it may cause unwanted erections, but again, only if there was too much in the male's system. I do not think in low amounts, to bring someone up to par with others, that it would make children feel more 'sexual' and cause them to explore things etc as has been speculated because it is clear that significant amounts of the hormone are actually missing from autistic children. Other children don't get encouraged to do this. However, it is something that should be followed very closely and after the nightmare of drugs for ADD/ADHD kids I would hope it doesn't turn out like that. Definitely, anyone given any drug should be monitored and it is a shame they aren't more but this is also what family and friends are for too.

Any way, I hope that helped spread some knowledge of what the hormone actually is more and why it might benefit some people and others it may not. Again, my apologies for being long winded about it but I thought it might ease some tensions and get out just why they are saying it would be any help at all. Like any mood enhancing drug etc, it should be up to the people to decide if they want it or not. I see the point that some people bring up that kids often get drugs for mood enhancement etc and have little choice in such a thing and so parents should pay attention and only do such a thing if they feel it will benefit the child and not just because some pill doc says so. I know too many people with ADD/ADHD that are screwed up because of Ritalin even as people try to downplay it. I'm glad I fought to not be on that crap as a kid. I can see where this can be beneficial but at the same time, if administered stupidly it will end up as lame. Also, proper diagnosis of Asperger's is necessary as many children are misdiagnosed and have some other condition. Anywhoo...outtie.

I also think that it is getting negative reviews wrongfully because it is called a 'sex hormone'. There are quite a few people I know who have Asperger's Syndrome and some feel alone and misunderstood all of the time because they say things that make other people angry with them and they can't word things appropriately where others won't take it as harsh and rude. Others do pretty well for themselves and are interesting people. I've gone out on a limb and helped a few friends get out of some tough spots because I'm easier to talk to and can also take the time to explain to them what it is they are doing that is making people annoyed so they can repair it. I also have worked with children with autism and they get frustrated often that they cannot relay to others what they feel or cross a line to communication they feel comfortable with.

Some people who have 'disorders' feel that it isn't a problem and is just another way the brain develops etc and really, unless the case is severe and the people can't cope with it, they are right. I have ADD but yet I don't take any medication for it because I feel I don't require it and would rather try to cope because in some ways I don't see it as so debilitating. I do know others though who feel they require the medication and it helps alleviate symptoms so they can focus and be more positive. What works for them doesn't work for me, but I surely won't say they shouldn't have the option. I know I am stubborn as hell and some of them aren't. I would have to say at this point in my life, that I'd wager that -everyone- has at least -one- disorder he or she can be connected to. Is it a problem? It depends on the person and environment he or she is in and if that disorder is actually in some way advantageous or not. In other words, hopefully people can find their niches in life and good jobs etc that let these 'disorders' not be disorders anymore but instead classifications of how someone's mind works. I would much rather not take medication than be forced to it as I've seen others do and instead have moved on to pay attention to the situation and make it as beneficial for me as possible. I believe many people with Asperger's can do the same, but it does take effort to encourage life in the direction you want it to go. The good thing about Asperger's is that it can be discovered at a young age so if parents help children, those children may be able to be very productive later where some of the assets of Asperger's (because no, it's not all negative) can be put to good use.

The hormone is meant to help motivate parts of the brain to assisting someone with the negative conditions of Asperger's to be able to be more a part of social society instead of leaving them isolated. It is definitely not something that is forced on anyone or would be. It is something that may be a possible solution to aid some people who really want to be more social and out there and also to not feel so clumsy or awkward. If people don't want it, they surely have the right to say no to it but why deny the rights of many others who struggle to say that it shouldn't be an option? Some people do better than others with Asperger's Syndrome or mild forms of autism. There are different levels of Asperger's and also people are not given the same mechanisms for coping with it either. For those who wish they did not have such a condition that has a name and impairs them from working, having close friends etc, this may be a new option.

I don't really see a problem with the websites and all. What I do see a problem with is that teachers are letting these kids get away with doing text talk in school papers and homework etc. I remember my dad telling me that whatever 'assignment' I handed in, or whatever project I did for serious, I had to put my name on it so it should be of quality so there's some pride there. This is what kids today don't seem to be told to any level and instead they are getting away with this and can even be encouraged.

So teachers should crack down and for those parents that always whine that their kids are doing nothing wrong, ignore them for a change. Let it actually go to court and counter sue the parents who are clearly neglecting their kids on the notion they think it's expressing 'individuality'. Hard to express individuality when -everyone- is doing it, isn't it? Parents aren't doing their jobs here by helping set some guidelines.

I don't think lolspeak in itself is bad as I sometimes get a laugh out of it, but I certainly wouldn't use it in official things that I put my name on that reflect me. 30 years down the line I don't want to look back and say 'look! I did this report and got away with using lolspeak language!' It just takes away from the credibility of an author when you see that they apparently can't write sentences correctly or choose the short cut simply to express themselves and get attention.

It's cute, but it has its place on some forums, chats, phones, letters to friends etc. It's an informal version of speech. Homework, essays, literary reports, business stuff etc, these are meant to be formal and that is perhaps what parents need to start teaching kids. The difference between formal work and informal stuff. It's the same way with dress appearance. You won't wear certain attire to a work function but you wouldn't wear work clothes chatting with friends on the street either. If there is a line set by parents and teachers, it would greatly help children because even according to that poll he said 86% of children -do- care and think good writing is essential. So, in the end, they just need a line to help them establish what is 'formal' and what is not. They already have the will.

I'm glad to see California do this. A major state with major population does tend to help move things along better and make more possible. Each state does have a right to decide whether to allow gay marriage or not so far. There have been attempts to nationally forbid it from going to state level but so far none have succeeded. However, if people go to a state that is not allowing gay marriage, the marriage is not recognized in their courts of law, etc.

Good going Cali. Hopefully NY will be soon as well so that it keeps the ball rolling and maybe someday the only states left that won't allow it will be where most gay people probably don't want to live any way.

That's the problem right there. I bet the movie would have done better with others had it actually not bothered to cater to the Christians who would take it the wrong way. Note how they did take out a lot of the religious elements and yet still there were churches and groups actively declaring boycotts and doing things against it. Had they just left it the way it was intended and followed the books, I doubt there could have been anymore controversy than their was and also more people would have enjoyed the film rather than the watered down version we received.

I agree with your last statement as well. There is a serious bias to protect what is 'sacred' and if anyone speaks out against it they are labeled as haters of a people, when in reality it is not so.

A longer post than me...rubbish! *snickers*

This is a tough question because there's always the issue of people going too far. I do have to say though that there are benefits to this as well.

If I had the opportunity to not pass on some medical condition that is genetic to my child, heck I would do that in a heart beat. Same goes for some mental conditions that would impair the child from being able to integrate with society and make the child ostracized. If I knew I had a weak heart, I'd want to make it so that the child inherited a good heart. If the child had some condition likely to inherit like Multiple Sclerosis or Fibromyalgia or Parkinson's Disease...I'm so down with this removal of the faulty genes. If a child could end up with autism, schizophrenia or dementia, well I'd be all for removing the chances of that too. Any parent would I hope want the kid to grow up with the best chances possible with what you have to pass on. I don't consider it an act of God because I don't believe in God in the first place, but the point is if I did, we have these smarts for a reason and if our brains can come to good use and make our offspring not suffer as we have had to or be on drugs for mental illness etc, I think it's wonderful.

Where I do think it is kind of silly to do things is to say change a child's physical characteristics as in you want a baby with blue eyes instead of brown, or maybe you desire a kid with red hair instead of blond. Maybe you want the child to inherit mom's nose or something. This kind of seems like it would produce children just for phenotypes and it takes away from the child to look as he or she would naturally. I'm actually torn on this because I can see where maybe wanting the child to be of a certain height so they aren't dwarves or giants could be helpful, but some people are extremely superficial. They would go ahead and design what is in their image to be the 'model' child and expect gratitude and performance from that kid. Expectations on children will become harder than they are now as some parents really will want more out of it and some may even hold it against their kids if they do not get money back for what they did etc. It could produce a whole new era of problems because of superficial idiots like this.

So, on the phenotype scheme of things (appearance) I am a bit in a debate over what is a legitimate thing versus going too far, but on the genotype way of thinking, to eliminate mental and physical ailments that are genetic...I think that's alright and don't see too many issues with it unless people start going the 'ubermensch' way of things. Last thing we need, even worse than superficial parents, is some group of fanatics designing the 'super race'. Either that or making babies happen that are well, just out there and stuck with the appearance because of eccentric superficial people with money.

Zandyne also did point out something relevant. We do have a lot of techniques we already employ that alter the chances for our offspring. If women went without the vitamins, treatments and all during childbirth, the infant death rate would be much higher than it is. Also, we adjust ourselves constantly to fit in the world and carry on. We have hearing aids, contacts, glasses, nerve damage surgeries, surgeries for weak hearts, drugs of all sorts for physical, mental and neurological treatments, pulling of wisdom teeth, etc. The list goes on and on for all the things 'wrong with us' that we go to get fixed to be able to enjoy life and live without having to be restricted as much as is possible. This is to me, another way to make that happen for kids so they can even grow up better than we did.

OOC: You may be right, lol. Had to have some fun twist there.

Harvey arched a brow curiously. "Well, of course." He had a feeling he had better make sure after all as this man obviously was planning some scheme when the trials of the Organization members were over. But what...was....his ...game??? Harvey would figure it out or he was not named Harve... crap, he spilled his coffee. Harvey picked up napkins and quickly went to fixing the mess up and then threw out the mess in the garbage can. He then excused himself, got another cup of coffee and came back...sat down...and then gazed upwards. "What was I thinking again?...oh yeah. ..(image of sending suits to the dry cleaner)..wait, no..Oh that! (image of fixing up Avenger a new nest)...No, that's not been done for a year...Oh right! yyy Birdman!" His hand shot out and he almost once again hit his cup of coffee but stopped short of it and then went to straightening his tie. "Ahem".

Harvey Birdman heard the question...why did he take the case...

    FLASHBACK SCENE

Harvey was sitting in his office flipping through his book and bored for work. Sebben had ran by after shooting some quail in the hall because it wouldn't spell potato right. Of course, it warbled and didn't spell -anything- but nonetheless, this was Phil Sebben.

In the door appeared a man and the room went dark. A large manilla folder was dumped in front of Harvey on his desk and Birdman jerked back. "What is this?"

<???> "It's a case. A big case. One that will give you much fame if you go through it and there's a lot of money involved."

Harvey peeked into the folder, not being able to see the weird person who was in the dark and blended in just fine. Within were profiles of the Organization XIII members and also a couple games. "You want to try some people for crimes that are from a video game???" He had heard a lot of weird things in his time but this was even more odd than usual. Avenger flew over and snatched one of the cds from his hand and began flapping around the room as if claiming it as prey.

<???> "Ah, it is a game, but it is also very real. It is the case of a life time. I wish to see justice done and am willing to pay well for it."

"How well?" Harvey had to inquire as he browsed through some more. Avenger was banging the cd now against his perch. "I'm going to need that, Avenger." Of course, the bird kept going.

Harvey felt a hand on his shoulder and then a voice whispered in his ear that conveniently was inaudible to anyone not there in that time. Harvey stood up and pointed his arm out all heroic like. "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII'LL take the CASE!"

    PRESENT TIME

"It seemed that it was the right thing to do. Why do you ask?"

Sora went along with Kairi, distributing the food he also bought to people in an amiable manner and then went to sit down to finish up his empanadas. He watched Kairi and admired her heart to be that caring. He wasn't sure how her gestures or his would be taken but he hoped people would at least get a good meal out of it all. He also hoped the trials would continue again soon because this was taking soOoo long.

Repliku glanced up at Kairi and shook his head. "Don't feed the doll." He smirked. "Thanks for the offer but I'm not hungry."

Riku thanked Kairi and Sora for the food. "Thanks, guys" and sat down to eat it. Roxas was kind of out at the moment but he poked him a bit to see if he'd wake up and want something in his stomach beyond Skittles and rum.

Harvey smiled. "That was very kind of you. Thanks, Kairi." He then sat at the table and ate some of the food. Avenger hopped on the table and took whatever wasn't glued down that Harvey hadn't immediately laid claim to.
