I don't consider you stupid or anything, BaseSebastion. I do think though, that despite what you say, you are kind of homophobic and just don't want it around you. I didn't see hate in your post as much as I did some worries that are mostly stemming from rumors and such that people have spread for years. This is why I addressed each thing with you so you'd see it's not as bad as you are believing. Yes, as I said before, it gets old to have some things shoved in your face repeatedly, but at the same time the lesson is there that perhaps you should face to get over this fear and agitation, and that is that we need to learn acceptance and tolerance. I won't label someone stupid until they get as annoying as KHSuperfan was. You seem very intelligent and this is just a circumstance where truly I feel that if you analyzed it a bit more, you might see that the viewpoint you have is pretty skewed and it is because of lies from other people around you that are either homophobic or anti-homosexual. There is a difference between the two terms but I'd just say perhaps some investigation on your own part instead of listening to those slanderous misleading things people obviously have said to you, to look for yourself. The Gay Days isn't meant to be a harm at all but to instead show that people who are gay are there and they aren't going to do anything to anyone else and vice versa. It's meant to show that they aren't passing AIDS on by just touching them, or one sitting on the ride next to you isn't going to reach over and grope you etc. It's a way of addressing homophobia. Since I don't have it, I could care less for the message but for those who do, perhaps it is a way for them to see that 'gays are not so different' too. I'd almost suggest to you to actually go during this time and don't wear red, of course, but go do other things there at Disney World and see if it's really so different other than the parade going on, than what it is normally.
You bring up an interesting point that people do forget about, Hissora. A phobia is a fear and it doesn't mean someone is going to go out and do something bad because of it. Most often if someone has a phobia, they run the other way instead of going to confront it with violence. I.e. if you have arachnophobia, if there's a spider, often the person will do whatever it takes to get away from it, to include nearly killing themselves as they dodge around and freak out. I think phobias are generally wrong overreactions to stuff, but yes, homophobia in itself isn't what is the worst. It's people that hate instead that are the problem. People can be worked on for phobias if they want to and strive to overcome a fear. However, if someone hates, that's when the real danger comes in. Hate can arise from fear, sure, but not always. Hate also arises from people just being disgusted with something, or if someone is doing something against their core beliefs. There doesn't have to be any fear involved at all.
lol, this song was great! I love how it's dissing females by the lyrics but at the same time the guy is obviously mocking the heck out of men. That was just awesome. I was laughing my ass off at the lyrics and vid.
"You have a point. But if I can have your permission to heal Pika Power, then you will not require Mewtwo for the following case and you can Judge then if he is fit for further cases or not. I think at least some time out would be good so that he acknowledges he should not abuse his powers so. This is a court of law. Not a court of Mewtwo's psychic prowess." Even if the yellow Pokemon was persistent, at least he wasn't messing with people's minds as far as Yen Sid was concerned. He was a grumpy old guy. Zero tolerance and lots of discipline!
Harvey groaned. "That was absolutely unnecessary to do. Mr. Power may be opinionated and have his issues but in the end, all that had to be done was for the Judge to declare he was ready to decide and that was that. It's a debate...no need to mess up his head. He's a person and has a free will and a right to express it." Harvey was starting to just not be happy with events right now. He hoped Pika would be alright and that they could now move on. He really was starting to dislike psychic powers and pondered blasting Mewtwo for it but withheld the action to not make the court anymore hectic and have all of the Prosecution suspended. "Please, your honor, can we have the judgments now?" Riku frowned. He hated unfairness. "You do that again and I'm going to flatten you. You can't just use psychic powers to control someone else. That's no better than what this trial is about in the first place. I sure don't like my head messed up with and don't want to see anyone else have it happen to them. I mean it, one more stupid thing like that and I could care less if the Org walks free, I am out of here after kicking your ass." Sora just blinked. The pokemon had fallen over and now accusations were flying at Mewtwo, the other Prosecutor. "Aww..jeez. Come on. This just isn't right." He sighed and looked at Riku. "Don't do something you'll be sorry for, ok? I'm sure they will handle it." Sora wasn't a fan of mind games but at the same time, he wasn't a fan of having to go visit Riku in prison either because he knew Riku would beat the Pokemon to within an inch of his life. Yen Sid shook his head. "This display is poor and I believe I can undo the effects on the Prosecutor. This case should continue and this other Prosecutor should not be allowed to continue such antics as it interferes with the case. There is a need for justice here and not tom foolery." He glared most disapprovingly at Mewtwo and then looked at the Judge. "I am interested, since I was rather forced to be present for this, in the case pertaining to the Organization XIII. Another Prosecutor can be named if Mr. Power cannot sit anymore there but I do not think it should be this one as he seems to flex a power within a place that must have truth to condemn or release anyone. If he can and will alter the state of mind of a person and make that being declare a false intent, he is unfitting to the task of justice."
Well, hear me out here. A lot of Christians ask me this, how I can be Atheist and still have morals, as do others who don't believe in God. The reason is because I have seen suffering. I am empathic to it. I've lived it. I don't want to spread it and hurt others as I have been hurt. If someone is hurting, I feel compelled to help that person because I know it is wrong and that I would wish for help too if I were in that person's situation. Stealing is wrong - because it harms other people and takes away from them. If I care about other people I will notice this. It doesn't take a God or outside force to tell me it is wrong. It takes a parent and environment, and perception to see how wrong it is. Lying is wrong - This hurts people, sets people up and lies often come back and wound the person that said them in the first place. In the end, I wouldn't lie unless it's to save someone from something dire. I.e. if someone is in a burning building and I know he/she would panic, I may make up that we should go outside to go get something to eat now, so the person will leave in an orderly way and not do something dumb. Otherwise, there's no need to lie. Cheating is wrong - I wouldn't cheat on a test because in the end, what am I learning from it. I am only injuring myself by not studying and doing what I should. I am getting by off someone else's work or just not caring. So if I cheat, I know I am hurting myself and possibly others who went all out to do things but got screwed because I decided to cheat to do better, so I scammed them of their just awards. Cheating on a lover - I wouldn't do this because though it would hurt the person to dump her, I would certainly rather do that than go behind her back, cheat and ruin our lives and trust. Trust in any relationship to me is important and I would not want cheated on or deceived so I wouldn't do it to someone else. These things can be taught to people at young ages. Sharing is nice and gets you more friends and compassion. Giving is pleasant to do and who knows...that may come back to you later that someone will help you out of the kindness of his/her heart. In the end, there just isn't a reason beyond being a good person to be a good person. If I help someone, it is genuine. I'm not going to put a Bible in the person's hand for service to the community or helping victims out of scenarios. I try to help people all the time and don't expect a thank you, though getting one is very nice. Why? Because I believe that humans have a choice to be good or bad, creative or destructive, and that power is in our hands. I choose to be the best person I can rather than being a despot. We humans have A LOT of power to make great changes and all and too many people are taught to leave things in some deity's hands instead of their own. If I error, I know it is my fault. It's not a sin. It's a screw up I need to get on and fix and apologize to real things in front of me. Apologizing to God won't make Dan forgive me for kicking him in the shin because I hated his joke. Apologizing to Dan will. That is why I say that we can as people have morals ourselves without an outside force. All it takes is to care and raise our children to care and love instead of hate. Also, to take responsibilities for their own actions instead of passing it off as we are just born sinners. Instead, I see we are born with flaws and we have a life journey ahead of us to make ourselves to who we want to be. If we are seen as more responsible, there is also the law which we abide by for people that don't have enough benevolence. It is not a good thing to go steal because you can go to jail and owe for the item. Countless Christians cheat on spouses etc so obviously God alone doesn't work. You need structure and law to design what society itself wants of each of us so we can live together. So, when people do wrong, that's what court is for, jail time, community service, rehabilitation etc and warnings are for. I hope that makes sense to you. It's hard to explain it all but many people live this way and do fine and there's no hidden reason why they need to be good. They just do as well as they can because they simply want to and its advantageous to do so and makes life a lot happier for one person and others around. I don't believe in living in fear of God or anyone. I did that for my early life and would rather not repeat it. So I live instead to be a content person and do what I feel is right. So, out of curiosity, is it just God that makes you do good? Is there another reason like perhaps you just want to help others and yourself to lead a positive life?
Hey, I'm American. :/ And the problems with accepting gays is world-wide, not just an American thing. In the end, it is how people were raised and the religion tossed in. Don't mix up all Americans in that. We learn by talking things out and adjusting. His post was biased and rather homophobic, but I've heard people in Europe say the same sorts of things. Unfortunately, more Americans probably do because of the way we were raised to believe it is so wrong and there are more religious people over here that are very stubborn. However, many Americans accept gays and we just don't really care anymore. There are people everywhere with prejudices which is why it's important to talk about them and not just say 'that's so American of you' or 'so Muslim of you' etc. You can do better than that, Bunterx. That statement you just said is also prejudiced, just against a nation's people instead of gay people. Come on now. We aren't ALL bad. :)
There are so many issues out there right now that it is hard to say if this would have a -huge- impact in voting. I think it would have minimal impact because we are more worried about inflation, a recession, medical care, world politics and relations, the environment, etc. We'd have hope that if a president has views against video games that we can lobby to our senators and get them to vote against anything that would go against video games, as this is our power. We can write to our congressmen/women and senators and get changes to happen and with the proper support and voice, even a president can't take it away. I don't -think- right now that any candidates truly have it out for video games. So I'm not sure if this would come to be an issue later. The one thing we can do to ensure it doesn't become an issue though is to verbally squash those who say they should be banned as that is our right to do. They can talk, but so we can we.
I don't believe in God. A lot of people claim there are miracles and I have not seen any. There are bizarre things and I can say that even in my life I've escaped harrowing situations but I can always find a logical reason for it. One that involves a person, or the environment or even just good luck to have been where I was at the moment and not where someone else was standing. I was dumb one time climbing a tree at around 7 years of age and tied a rope around my waist to ensure I wouldn't fall as I scoured up it. I climbed up the tree and then went to scaling down, and fell and was stuck hovering above the ground and could not get down. The rope was causing me to lose my breath as it was tight around my lower chest and my life was literally fading before my eyes. I called out but no one could hear me because the air was literally not getting in my lungs. My dad noticed me as everything was fading to black, and he got me down. Some would say that God did it. I say my dad saved my life. Why should I give God the credit when clearly a human did it? I've been in car accidents and was very thankful to make it through. A friend of mine hit an old woman going to church and I got out and helped her and directed traffic. Of course, God saved her. Why? She was hit, broke her leg but we got out and helped her and then she went to the hospital where they did the rest of the work. Car insurance paid for it. So, who did the work? Humans did. I survived through years of child abuse and neglect by willpower. God never helped me when I prayed and begged to know what I did wrong and asked for it to stop. It took me to hit a person back and disrespect elders to get them to stop hurting me, and to also join the army to get away from that life and start anew. There is suffering in life but taking responsibility and planning got me out of a lot of mine. Not some deity. After having read the Bible through a few times from page to page and also comparing history as well, it just didn't make sense to me and some of the data is inaccurate. There are many strange and wondrous things out there in life but I can't attribute them to a being, and in my opinion if there was a being, it isn't what people think it is. So, to not be offensive, to me, I just find there is no God in the sense of what has been written and also I don't believe people are born sinners etc and I just have a hard time believing that a God can be benevolent and yet omnipresent (knowing everything) and yet punish people for errors that were of that deity's responsibility in the first place. The whole begging forgiveness for sins that weren't committed by a person etc is also disturbing to me. I take responsibility for my actions and say I'm sorry and fix myself up if I do something wrong. I don't need to apologize to something beyond life, but to the people I've wronged or an animal or whatever. People have different experiences, but every natural disaster etc, I can point out scientifically why it happened and every incident that happens to me where I lucked out, sometimes I know it's just because I was standing where I was when it happened and someone else was just not so fortunate. I also would think after all this time, if some deity did exist out there that was used in such foul ways and cared, it would have said something by now. Just my opinion and I respect others' views but just see no reason for me to believe in something extra out there supernatural when I can explain most things and what I can't, I just wait for the logical explanation to come along. I don't have to fill in a question all the time with an answer that is short and curt. I can leave the question open-ended and wait. That to me is part of the great thing about life and that it is a journey. In the end, I think that a deity that is fake to me gets too much credit for what good people can do, while good people don't get the credit. Whether a person is religious or not, I will always acknowledge the person as the one who did the thing of greatness. It just seems more just that way since people always can point out the worst but always overlook the best.
"If you can place Coercion against him for Jack, and Manipulatioin for Sora, Donald and Goofy then I suppose that will suffice. As for the second thing, I am sure that though they -could have- died, Luxord was betting more that they would live, though be out of circulation long enough for him to implement his plans. So aggravated assault seems appropriate." Harvey gave a nod as that was really all he wanted to be made clear. Though then the Judge asked about the control of the Heartless. He wasn't sure why it was being even argued because it was clear that the Heartless was under his control and the words were meant as a gambler's fate issue, but really, he wasn't going to comment as 'summoning' the heartless wasn't a crime. It was more a recognition Harvey had brought up to prove the other points of his statements and charges. He did look over at Pika though. "Please, let this go. There's really no point in letting the Judge call you out of order. There were worse things we had to already let go with Marluxia and Larxene. This isn't a big thing and it should be charged under Xemnas who was in charge." He really did not want to see Pika taken out of the whole case which if he kept on an issue he couldn't prove and the Judge was adamant against, he was going to be in some trouble.
Guess he didn't duck around the side enough. But yeah, he said ouch too. Why no ducky sound!
Misty is now tied with pork.
Harvey chuckled a bit. Yes, he could find the humor in what the Judge was saying but he seemed to be missing the seriousness of it too. He tried again. "The Heartless was summoned purely so Sora would destroy it. It cursed Jack to force Sora to go after it. Without destroying the Heartless, Jack could not be free. Also, it is the point of fact that it was done in a long roundabout way. Luxord could have just let them fight the Heartless but instead chose to go about the way he did for -specific- results. That -is- coercion. He manipulated events to force them to acts, whether or not Sora would have done the act or not prior. The point is the -way- it was gone about and the fact it required Sora regardless. There -should- be a coercion charge for what happened to Jack, but also for Sora at least because the act was purely done to get Sora where Luxord wanted him and so Luxord could get the Heart." "As for the second thing, no, I do not believe Attempted Murder is right. It is obvious he didn't want them dead, so I would apply it to Aggravated Assault instead."
Harvey just shook his head. He began to ponder if the Judge had heard any of the evidence or just made decisions on his own without the testimonies or the video proof. "Your honor, Jack was coerced of course because he was cursed. Now, you can say Sora had a choice, but truly, if he is as helpful to others as he seems, wouldn't he go out of his way to make things better for Jack if he could? The coercion was in effect because it forced Sora and Donald and Goofy to be required out of the kindness of their Hearts to go after the gold and then the Heartless to free the Heart so that it went to Luxord for the Organization's plans. I am really not sure how you missed that. The point of coercion applies to especially Jack AND Sora as the plan wouldn't have been done in the first place were it not for Luxord requiring the Heart for the Organization's plans, which after the Heartless was killed, he took. Sora was -instrumental- to Luxord's plan." "And as the 'Captain' of the boat, he ordered "Fire!" as I played out the -whole- scene with Luxord and the ship's cannons fired after Sora, Donald and Goofy were thrown to the Interceptor by Luxord's gesture and the Heartless sent them there. So under his command in both ways, the cannons were fired at the Interceptor that he had Sora, Donald and Goofy placed on and they went unconscious and were marooned. It was meant to go against Sora, Donald and Goofy and Captain Jack to force them along and also it did knock them unconscious." OOC: I had to amend that because I misread what Erkz was saying since he spelled Luxord's name all weird and I was confused.
Harvey was beginning to wonder if the Judge was also paying attention. "Your honor, the counts are more than that." "You are counting 1 aggravated assault with the cannon when it was Sora, Donald and Goofy who were fired at. That's three." "Also, the coercion was not just at Sora but also at Jack Sparrow who had to go along with things because he was cursed, and Donald and Goofy who had to also accompany Sora." "Other than that, the charges seem in order." He turned then to Pika. "I know you want to charge him for Hollow Bastion, but at the same time, that was led by Xemnas so technically the most that could be added onto it would be following orders, which the hard charge must go to Xemnas as he was leading that. Because we are charging each individually, and not the Organization as a whole, and Luxord would be considered a soldier in that capacity, we can't charge him with it accurately. I do know it exists but could not see a way to make that one stick on anyone but Xemnas who orchestrated it." He didn't really want to make things hard with his partner but it just was impossible really to do such a thing.
Hmm... I vote Darkwatch. aka Deathwatch.
Riku smiled. "You have a point." He then looked forward to see all that was going to happen at this time. Repliku flattened his hair as the electric sensation finally died down. Man, that was one pissed off guy when he got mad. He was still kind of cool though. Yen Sid glanced around the room and shook his head. This court room obviously had a problem with discipline. Then again, half of it was a bunch of kids and the other half were the Organization XIII...what was scary though was that mostly it seemed the beings acting up the worst were not so imperative to the cases at all. He made a good notion that next time, therefore, he may react to get some things back to a state of order.
She ended up with more votes from Michigan and Florida than he did. I don't think though she's going to catch him at this point, despite her persistence. She may win a couple more states but so will Obama so I think unless the super delegates swing her way in vast numbers, he has it clinched. She keeps going on about popular vote but she doesn't have that unless you say all of the 44% in Michigan ..the total, were not voting for Obama which would be utterly insane to say. From the CNN site, the way the polls stand now is this: The last states only have 31 delegates so in the end, even if Obama won, he'd not have enough so either way, the Superdelegates are the ones who have to secure the final vote now. It's all up to them. I will say though, this has been an interesting election and I do wonder if whoever gets it will put the other person on as VP. Either way, history is kind of made.
OOC: I have no idea where Erkz is. Really all that needs to happen now is for him to make a decision. Yo Erkz! Maybe someone should PM him. Harvey sighed. "We're done, Pika. There really is nothing more to go on here with. Please, let's stop and move on to Demyx once the Judge gets his decision out. There really is nothing more here to go on with. All points have been proven that could be." He was pondering putting a sack over Pika until the Judge's ruling so they could move to the next case but he'd wait and hope the Pokemon was done. "There are worse charges that other members in the Organization did. We shouldn't focus on this anymore, please?" Even Xelax had now backed off after the evidence he wanted was finally revealed. "The Defense and I agree to the charges now to present. Let's just go with that now." He gave Pika this imploring look of just exhaustion at this point. "...I have no idea what I could say that would be different from what Luxord and Jack said anyway...really." Sora wasn't really sure what he could possibly know that wasn't already said pretty much. After Harvey had played the whole scene out, really that was all Sora had known too other than at the Castle. This was all getting confusing. He was still messed up after hearing Zack's story and what the Cheshire Cat was allegedly responsible for. The Cheshire Cat was a strange cat...that also had a knack for mischief but would that mischief actually be so severe as to wipe out a whole planet of people? Something seemed missing from Zack's story. It also seemed odd that the Cheshire Cat was there in the first place. But it wasn't Sora's place to ask and now that the Cheshire Cat was gone, he didn't need to. Just something seemed missing out of the tale but then again, how would Zack know if there was, since he wasn't there at the time? "This place is nuts." Riku watched Zack kick out Tron, kick out the Cheshire Cat, go nutsos and then explain about his past and how his world was destroyed by a grinning cat telling a stupid bunch of rhymes and riddles. The Cheshire Cat was an annoying creature, but was he really that malicious? Of course getting the answer out of him without torture was probably impossible as he'd just give another riddle. And then Pika wanted to call up Sora while everyone else was just praying the Judge would show a sign of life at this point. Well, if the Judge was going to just zone out, probably Sora's testimony would be over before he woke up at this juncture. Either way, Riku didn't care as long as the damaging attacks and all going around stopped. Zack, it was apparent, needed a muzzle to shut him up and also some chains or something. The guy was a nut and the Cheshire Cat...well he needed a beating to get the truth out of him. Both of which were not going to happen so Riku just sat back and waited, glowering at the scene before him.
It's fair to me too and nearly anyone with a logical mind. She just doesn't want Obama having the 44% delegates but the Democratic Party gave them to him any way, because his name wasn't on the ballot. That is her stance and her lawyer's stance on it. I'm glad the Dem Party fixed it and Hillary is just ...I have no idea what she is even doing anymore. She's just not making any rational sense at this point.
