ermm, there was a story where a couple played wow so much they forgot about their child and it died from starvation :( it isnt just children/teenagers, adults get addicted as well
people can get obsessed/addicted to almost anything. it makes them happy so they want to play it more, then they give themselves a goal to work towards. but the goal keeps changing and you get the 'oh ill just play one more level etc'. it can take over your life because it becomes so important to you. but as with a lot of things it all depends on the person, some people just dont know when to stop.
