There are people who say this about any game that's been around a while. I.e. You can't say you are a real gamer if you haven't played Mario games' etc. It's ridiculous to say and people have different tastes and aren't going to like the same stuff. I would say you can call yourself a 'gamer' if you play 'games'. Obviously, you can call yourself an FF Gamer if you play FF games...etc.

Let's not bring this up again. I think on both sides it went too far but really the 'camwhore' thing should just be put behind us.

As for the invisible text, there's nothing wrong with it if it's not intended to be targeted at a person in a derogatory manner or just nasty in general where someone feels inclined to tell people etc. I can see why some people got confused and assumed all invisible text was faux pas, but nah, it's just what was mentioned that is not such a keen idear.

To answer this, I'd say that I have no way of knowing the answer to that. I take this life as it is and live it to the best I can and fullest, enjoying the positive moments and getting over the darker ones swiftly, while attempting to hold no long lasting grudges or bothering to stagnate my life on petty stuff. Since I do not know what happens, I choose to take this life as being the only one I will have and that to me is the best way to live. I am more inclined to say that we live once, but at the same time, in the end, I cannot -absolutely- disprove it so I don't focus on it, because I've never had a real reason to once I decided that I could just leave the question open and move on.

The human brain is a curious thing that is still being studied and not yet fully understood. I've had weird dreams and even had ones that can predict the future etc to some degree, but I don't really attach anything supernatural to them. As for having past life experiences, if I ever did happen to come across such a thing as having a dream, getting names, researching and finding out the person did exist and looked just like that in my dream, well then I'd have some proof. Since I've never been able to find any validation for peculiar 'real' feeling dreams, I don't worry about it so much because the brain does what it will when I sleep. If you can't get information to support dreams, it is probably best to assume you have a vivid imagination and are just having colorful dreams.

You are right. Not all Christians are like this. Sadly though, there are quite a few groups popping up that are and it is causing a lot of trouble because no one who is Christian will speak out against this and try to make people see that tolerance is necessary. Acceptance of other people's beliefs doesn't mean you have to believe in them yourself. It simply means you come to terms that everyone doesn't feel the same way you do when it comes to having a personal deity/deities/or none. These religious beliefs should not be so dominant and influential when it comes to government or other things because it's a personal choice.

I suppose that is what can be the most agitating thing out of all of this. Children should not be taught a religion or -anything- really through fear of eternal damnation etc. We can say that people grow up in violence and can get threatened with their lives, and that is really bad enough. What rights do adults have to bring fear to a child that their very soul and eternal afterlife, if it even exists, should also be threatened? Whether religious or not, this just isn't the right thing to do and spreading religion through fear has always been just plain stupid and a means of controlling a population. These people that do these things are making many children biased, ignorant and refusing to receive even proper educations. It teaches prejudice and holds people back. I remember the fight it was for me to decide I just didn't believe in Christianity because of fear tactics like this that were employed on me and I had a lot of nightmares but in the end, evidence won it out for me to triumph over these sorts of stories. Whether religious or not, people must realize that a 'personal' God means that you have the choice to have it in your life or to not have it there. Children's rights are literally raped from them when people teach kids through these methods.

Not all Christians are like this and I thank each one that posted here to say they aren't and that their churches aren't so much this way. However, if the problem keeps growing and no one deals with it because they are afraid to defy the zealots who make these things, it's just going to keep happening. Christians themselves need to learn to be more vocal against the teachings like this to kids. If adults want to believe in the fear and hatred tactics, that's one thing but kids just don't deserve the trauma.

Denmark does have a rather free society and I can believe they'd top at #1. I can also see why the U.S. is ranked where it is. I do kind of find it funny that baby boomers though are so miserable when they are mostly what's helped get this country where it is now, on the 'wrong track'.

I do wonder if they bothered to poll areas though where there is more violence etc. I can also see why Zimbabwe is the worst for happiness. Those people are really miserable and after seeing a British journalist's investigation of there in depth, which he had to do a lot in secrecy, there's no question in my mind those people are suffering. There are a lot of bad things going on in the world, but at the same time I do agree that people are mostly happiest when they have more personal freedoms but also feel safer too. It lets people have the ability to enjoy life and get out more. This was an interesting report.

Yeah, I heard about that too, Bunterx. I do think some strategies are going to have to be thought out when it comes to downloading music and all anymore because the more they try to 'stop us' the more it just is going to keep happening. Music corporations are actually a lot more **** about it than most of the actual artists are because even some artists have said they go to get music or check out new videos etc on youtube. In a way I am amazed at the power of these music corps, but at the same time, they are weakening and trying to flex all they have. These people are just going to have to learn to find their money elsewhere as even artists are molding to the changes and just charge more to go see their live shows. It makes sense for the artists to do that but the places like the RIAA of course don't get as much money from it and the artists make more than they do working with the RIAA and other corps.

The internet is a power for communication and transportation of data. However, I think our privacy is a lot more important than some corporations' rights are because for years most of them have really screwed over artists any way. When even the artists admit it, you know it sucks.

No problem. Another thing that can help is when you sing or talk, listening to someone else, cover one of your ears and that way you can hear yourself more clearly as the other noise is going on and can try to mimic the voices closer to how they sound. Don't be worried also about just repeating some words until it sounds as close as you can muster to the speaker.

I tend to also just go watch the fireworks instead of doing much around home because all we get to have anymore are wussy things that don't do much. It's kind of ironic that our Independence Day is so guarded against having personal great fireworks anymore. Ah well though. The shows are really done well so it makes u for it.
