She's 18, she can do what she wants >_> The fact that it got on the internet shows how unscroupulous (sp?) people are nowadays. Also, she is still a human being, and the character she plays should have no bearing on her life. Although, the fact she is such a big celeb should have told her not to do something like this without people finding out.

Recently a boy in the year above me committed suicide (it was announced in assembly as a tragic death >_>). It was apparantly because he had came out to his mother as being gay and she had rejected him. I have always said I will never kill myself. Sometimes I feel like I don't want to live anymore, that's true, but I don't want to die either. I think of what it would do to my family and my friends, I would never be that selfish. The numbers stated above are scary. I think the thing that will cause most damage and be the hardest to cure/prevent is depression, which can lead to suicide. There is just so much in the world to get depressed about and people have a lot more time to spend thinking, they are starting to realise how bad life really is =/

As for bullying over clothes and gang wars etc. I don't know anyone at my school who would be sad enough to do that. That would be a local problem that would exist already at the school. Also, regulations on jewellery and hair are as strict as the uniform regulations at my school. Jewellery for guys is pratically non-existant, and for girls it's the bare minimum. Guys can't have hair touching the collar of your blazer (which is possibly the most sexist rule I've ever heard of, and I plan to fight it if I'm told off for my hair >_> FIGHT THE POWER :3).

One good point I just thought of for school uniforms is that they prepare you for later life, because in many workplaces you have to wear a uniform of some description. If nothing else, you'd learn how to tie a tie ;D
