As the group was fighting together and basically destroying this demon to no end, the fight seemed to be going in their favor. Granted, it was getting harder to deal with as time went on, and Stratos was losing a good deal of stamina from this things attacks, but nevertheless, they were just about done with this fight. As Stratos looked at the demon, he saw a lone fireball fly from Karina and explode on contact with the demon. However, something seemed horribly wrong with her. She seemed to pass out for a reason that he couldn't really understand, but ultimately it was a bit of a bad situation for her to be in. Thankfully, Glen had sprung into action and attacked with a large explosion, which gave Stratos a good enough time to set up what he wanted to do next, in order to keep the attention off of Karina. Channeling a large sum of magic, Stratos summoned up a Dumbo into the scene in order to take on the demon. Directing it towards the demon, he said, "alright then boy, go help out everyone else while I take care of something." The elephant nodded, and went to work firing out jets of water towards the demon foe, dealing a fair bit of damage to it. Stratos then walked over to Karina and tried to think of what to do in this situation. He grabbed by the arm and tried to sling her over his shoulder to sort of carry her away from the crossfire and make it slightly easier to guard if anything came by. After making her proclamation to her friend in need, she was all ears as to what needed to be done. Taking all the mental notes that she could in order to just sort of figure out what the situation was, she thought about it for a bit before giving a thumbs up to the girl. "No worries Red, you can count on me to get this done." As she started to walk down the street and further towards her destination, she continued to think more on this job she was given. In the first scenario, which was getting the necessary information on to her person and getting out, that would require a few things. The first of course being knowledge of where the other Canna was, which would be more than likely easily remedied. The second was stealth. This would be necessary in getting the information and copying it down in some way to herself in a timely manner. Now, Jackson was good at her abilities of urban exploration, but her ability to do that without being detected was something of a completely different story. Which could only mean one thing could happen here. As she was walking, eventually Canna Dos had given her signal to Jackson, which was responded with by a brief way by Jackson. The blue haired girl then turned and slammed her fist against a nearby wall. With the wall no longer being there, the noise made from the hit caused the attention of most of the guards in the immediate area to focus on her. With a skip in her step, she went bounding out of the immediate area and ran towards another area to cause a commotion in. The guards, more or less extremely confused as to what caused the noise and destruction, were running into the area, when suddenly a guard's attention was focused onto her. "You!" a guard had yelled and pointed at her, "you're the damn fruit thief!" "Fuck." With that, the wild Benny Hill chase had begun, with Jackson running through the streets and darting through the alleys. The guards were pretty relentless in their chase, but she was keeping good pace and distance between herself and them. However, all of this momentum was stopped as she crashed into a blond and black haired boy and a blue haired girl, thankfully not with her hands. As she went tumbling down, she looked at the two and said, "hi there. So, how you two doing?" During this really odd attempt at small talk, the guards had managed to close the distance a fair bit between them, to which she just said, "so how good are you two at avoiding the city guard?" After Johnis had made his large proclamation, he was sure that these subjects would soon bow to his will. Wait, what was with the yellow haired man? He seemed to crackling with some sort of light. Perhaps that was just the radiance that came along with Johnis taking form on his loyal subject- it was most certainly not that. After getting blasted by the lightning, the young hamster flew forward and was immediately used as a projectile weapon towards some sort of weird pink haired dude. My, he would make for a glorious jester in his royal court. He noted that the hair really made him stand out above the norm, but then quickly realized that it was just that everyone else's hair was one or two colors in the building...rather than how there was a rainbow of them in the entire city. Nevertheless, he would still make for a fine jest- apparently he didn't like that idea, as he was hurt further by the man. After recollecting himself, Johnis picked himself up, dusted himself off and then let loose a torrent of insults. "Listen here you ****ing ****ers that think your ******** ***** *** faces can ****ing **** me up and **** my ****ing ****. No! You bitches will ****ing bow down to my ****ing **** or so **** me I will **** your ****ing ***** *** ***** with a giant rusty ****." After letting this loose however, it came more out as some sort of angry tyrade of...squeaking. Johnis was somewhat confused by this, when suddenly he saw that someone had walked into the room. For whatever reason, he claimed to be the leader of the rebellion, and got himself cuffed and carted off. What a stand up guy, taking the bullet for Johnis's glorious revolution to take over the kingdom. He would have to help him out in some way, and so he decided to follow the group of his Royal Court Jester, the martyr and that weird girl.
After having felled the blue demon through their combined efforts, Stratos extended out his hand to Glen in a manner to high five him saying, "awesome work there Glen. Now then, let's go finish this other guy off." After that, he proceeded to run forward, and saw Beuce finally get into the fight, only to be wailed at by the ghost. Well, that was certainly something else. The guy seemed to be in a bit of a bad situation and so Stratos let loose a cure spell on him, followed by an aerora to keep his low defensive capabilities balanced out. Stratos then went to go strike the thing himself and said, "alright guys, let's give it our all!" With that he dashed forward straight towards his opponent and glowed with a white light. As he got close to the thing, he let loose four pillars of light that shot forward and struck the beast with great force. However, it wasn't quite dead yet. Not to mention, unlike before, it hadn't staggered at all. Instead, it lunged forward and struck at Stratos with his claws, raking it across his torso, causing a fair bit of damage. However, that wasn't the worst part of it. While the wound was open and stinging, there was some sort of mist flowing out of it that seemed to be draining his stamina as well. Well that was annoying. After he had used limit again, Stratos looked at Glen who had talked about how he could do one limit, but that would completely bar him from using the Trip Around The Sun. Stratos was actually a bit confused about that. He had never run into that kind of problem himself before, so he wasn't really sure what Glen was going on about. However, he just put that to the side, and said, "well if you say so." With that, he ran towards the thing, using zantetsuken on it and creating a large cut in the space around it. The demon wasn't dead, but with Glen and his combined efforts, it was damn near close to it. (Magical Immune) Blue Demon: 23/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 205/500
After having used his class limit, Glen asked him about it to which he said, "simple. What I'm aiming for is weaker and cheaper to use then what you're aiming for. So with that in mind, that lets me do this." His heart shined again as his hand went over it, and the exact same green lightning had crackled over Stratos again. With it, he charged forward, once more, launching himself at a guardian's rush towards the blue demon. With it, he impacted with and kept it stun locked with the help from Glen's attacks. After Stratos had made his own entrance, Glen then said something about doing his own flashy thing. However, Stratos didn't think that the single strike that he used really constituted as flashy. Regardless, they were beating down on this thing really easily and Stratos decided to strike with something that he hadn't used...probably ever. Putting his hand over his heart for a second, it started to glow, and that glow then turned into a crackling green electricity that went around him. With it, he charged forward delivering a single powerful blow straight towards the thing with a Guardian's Rush. (Magical Immune) Blue Demon: 117/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 227/500
After Stratos had launched his magical attack at the black demon, he realized he was running low on mp once more, and Glen seemed to be fighting the boss by himself for the time being. While the guy had a good deal of strength, he decided to go help him out. Dodging rolling out of the way of the black demons strike, he started to run forward towards the blue demon. However, the black demon seemed to be having none of this, and so Stratos decided to dash through him with zantetsuken, appearing past the black demon and cleaving through the blue demon with it as well. He then proceeded to go and vorpal blitz the creature, knocking it back. (Magical Immune) Blue Demon: 164/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 227/500
As Stratos was readying to attack again, the demon seemed to reel back and wind up an fly towards Stratos to attack. However, he was briefly intercepted by Kaida, coming in fast as lightning, and striking with a pounding of magical strike. As she dodged the attacks of the demon, Stratos ran over to it, and following the whole concept of watching each others back, he launched another blizzard spell at the thing to both knock it away from her and draw the aggro towards himself. "Let's keep this up team, it's almost down!" (Magical Immune) Blue Demon: 211/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 227/500
Stratos was continuing to deal with the demon and was getting ready to strike as the demon had recovered from the fire that he had launched at him. However, Base and Mushu had struck it with a fair bit of damage, followed up with Glen hitting it with his own fire spell. As such, Stratos decided to follow up on this all out attack and strike at the black demon with his faith spell, launching a giant pillar of light at his opponent. (Magic Immune) Blue Demon: 235/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 272/500
After Stratos struck at the demon, he then saw Glen come in a strike the thing as well. Stratos gave a thumbs up to the guy and then went on to strike at the black demon. He heard Base and said, "well you know, not every example is a perfect one. But again," he looked towards the man in question and said, "only if he's fighting is it alright." As he was readying a spell, Kaida sprinted past and attacked the other demon, only for Stratos to launch a magical fire ball and make an explosion hit the black demon, for great damage. Stratos had kept up his fighting spirit and was about to keep firing spells off, only to realize that he was running low on MP now. So, in order to stop this sort of thing from getting in the way, Stratos ran over to the blue demon and readied his keyblade to strike at the demon. Glen hit him with his great force, and knocked the demon back, but he was rearing back to strike once more. It was then that Karina went in to strike with her bull like force and knock it aside. Glen then came in and struck it, only for Stratos to then followed this up with his own physical barrage, completely stringing the three person combo in attacking the blue demon, dealing a **** ton of damage to it. After having dealt the damage to the black demon Stratos then heard what Base and Glen were talking about. He interjected with, "correction so long as he's attacking it doesn't matter what part of them he's watching. And I mean come on, the man was able to fight a swarm of heartless while staring at a certain someone's butt, so I think he's perfectly capable of fighting with his own view." He then looked to Beuce and said, "granted, you only want to do this when you're willing to deal with the oh so appropriate consequences." With that, Stratos fired off another spell of fire straight at the Black Demon to destroy the thing. They were making good work, good time, and they seemed to be making a good dent in both of them thus far. (Magic Immune) Blue Demon: 424/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 388/500
After Stratos had knocked the Blue Demon away and struck the black demon with magic, the blue demon had come back and was reeling to swipe and strike at Stratos. Not having any sort of time or reaction to guard, he was about to get struck, only for Glen to come in and strike the thing with all of his raw strength and force. Stratos gave a thumbs to the guy as he looked towards the next foe. Stratos then saw that Base had taken some action as well, and gave him a thumbs up as well. The three of them were working like a well oiled machine, and with that, Stratos was able to strike the Black Demon once more. Lobbing out a thunder spell, the lightning fell down and struck with great force towards the demon, hurting it for quite a bit. (Magic Immune) Blue Demon: 427/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 435/500
Stratos had continued to fight the demons as they were just sort of floating around and being rather annoying to deal with. These things definitely seemed tough, and he knew it was going to take the efforts of all their efforts combined in order to stop them. He looked back at the demon and saw that it was a in a good position to be attacked with his magical assault. As such, he started to run over to strike at the demon, and fired off a fire spell at it. However, the blue demon flew in the way of the spell, and completely absorbed it. Well that was annoying. Thankfully, Base had jumped into action and hit the demon that he was aiming at, hurting it quite a bit. Stratos decided to deal with the threat in front of him, and just use vorpal blitz on it, knocking it away, then firing a blizzard spell at the magically weak demon to hurt it. (Magic Immune) Blue Demon: 475/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 458/500
As Charlotte had continued to walk through the woods, she noted that the group was keeping good pace and sticking together. She glanced back towards Therity, who seemed to be all to reluctant in order to follow the group. Nevertheless, it was a good thing she kept with them rather than sticking to her original plan. As they pressed forward through the forest, Ander had spoken up, to which she could only respond by saying, "well, it's almost a given that whatever is causing this curse is at the top of that mountain. And seeing as whatever is causing it is powerful enough to cast the eternal night sky over the entire island, we can tell that whatever it is, is probably dangerous. And while normally one would probably stick to the more stealthy and cautious approach," she looked to Gaius, and to a lesser extent Ra, "I feel we will not have that sort of luxury. But nevertheless, while I am expecting something dangerous, it's doubtful they will be able to overcome our strength." Charlotte said her response confident, simply because she had faith in the people she had fought Ezekiel with. They had all done their part then, and they were much stronger than they were when it happened.
As Lucia had continued going down the slide, she heard Hasu's response and nodded at the fact that this was something that should just be enjoyed as it was going on. She then responded to his questions by yelling back, "it's going alright! I'm pretty confused by everything that's happened, though I'm pretty sure that'll be par for the course here! Other than that, I'm doing just dandy here. Haven't been on a slide like this in forever, so this is awwweeesssooommmmeeee. As for the family," she then thought about it for a moment before responding by saying, "well I got absolutely no idea. Haven't talked to the folks since getting here, but they were more or less the same when I left them! So that is all fine by me!" She then heard about the fight against "Ken," to which she sort of dropped down the slide before it even happened so she had no clue that the others were even in a fight. "Wait! There's a fight going on! Well that sucks. Now I kinda want to see if I can run up this slide to go help them out!" She then briefly considered this, only to realize that there was no feasible way to start running up a slide at full speed. This sucked even more. "Sadly I don't have any kind of Tea on me, not to mention tea ain't my cup of tea. Uh, maybe we can chow down on some of the vegetation here?" She threw a knife forward with her free hand, causing leaves ahead to fall down and her to catch them when passing by. Putting the handful in her mouth, her face then started to contort into an expression of disgust as she spat out the wild plant. "Okay, the food around here sucks! Don't try it, trust me!" Thinking of more small topic options, she then went on to a more team bonding one. "So, where you guys from?" Thinking it rude to just not say anything after asking, she continued with, "me, I'm just from a small village in the middle of nowhereseberg. Not much to say about it other than it was a decent place to live, not much in way of luxuries but it was a modest enough community that it didn't need them. So how about you guys?" After everyone had spoken there part on where they stood in the expedition, including their counter claims to Therity's points, the group had thus decided to leave the tent and go on their expedition towards the mountain. As they began to walk through the forest, Charlotte had been making marks in trees that they had passed by, so as to create at least some sort of way points that they could find how to get back out of the forest when they needed to leave. As she continued walking with the group, she stated the obvious simply by saying, "remain ever vigilant comrades, we do not know what kind of horrors exist in this forest and so we should be ready for any kind of danger that may come our way." Following her own advice, Charlotte kept her wits about her and continued to look around the forest as they were going forward towards the mountain.
After the group had all gotten together and beaten the ever loving daylights out of all the demons that were here, Stratos gave a thumbs up to the rest of his teammates. They had been working quite in tandem and were really doing a good job at just blitzing, (not literally) through all of the enemies they had been coming across. While he thought it was over now, and the village had been saved, some new sort of demon ghosts that just sort of spawned out of nowhere. Well that was obnoxious to deal with. Stratos could feel that they were going to be tough foes, so he decided to start strong right away. As he launched a fire spell at one of the ghosts, the fire simply fizzled out, and the ghost seemed none too affected by it. Stratos then went on to go attack the other one, as it had floated by him, and swung his keyblade at it, only for the weapon to completely pass right through it, and the ghost to claw at him. Stratos felt the ghastly claws rake across his arm as he quickly back stepped away from the thing. Okay, that was obnoxious, they seemed to be completely immune to...everything. Not to mention, the cut on his arm felt like it was hurting way more than it should from that attack. Getting annoyed, Stratos fired an assault of faith pillars towards both of them, only for one to ignore it completely and the other be hurt by it. That was interesting. Stratos then decided to test something else out. Blinking forward, Stratos used zantetsuken on the both of them, causing a large cut to appear on only one of them. Deciding to share this information, he yelled out, "guys, be careful. One of them is immune to magic and one them can't be hit by physical hits, so pick your opponent accordingly!" (Magic Immune) Blue Demon: 480/500 (Physical Immune) Black Demon: 497/500
As the group had essentially come to their consensus to leave and go find the young miss who had ventured on her own, another voice had spoken up in opposition of this. The voice belonging to Therity, she had brought up the points about the person who cursed this island being Calxiyn's likely captor, not to mention that they were lacking in sleep and food. While Charlotte had continued to feel perfectly fine, both in energy and hunger levels, she had no idea about the mentality of the others. Though she had assumed that they were completely alright by all agreeing to this expedition, this was further cemented by Veilen's counter argument. Charlotte nodded and continued with, "not to mention there a few important factors missing here. It might be easy to get confused on the time, as the sky itself was clearly the night sky, even when we were in broad daylight. Therefore, we haven't actually been here for too long, and no matter when we leave it will always be night time." Taking a pause, she then came to another conclusion about why leaving sooner would be better than later. "Having said that, I think its important we actually go as fast as possible to break this curse, as I am not too sure of how true the theory behind simply blocking out the light to prevent the curse is, not to mention clearly the light from the moon is still reaching us, or else we would not be able to see within the confines of this tent at all. Therefore, we're still being acted upon by the curse even now, and so, as Veilen said, kill two birds with one stone, it would be all the better. Especially if our guild member is in danger at this current moment." She then had a concerned glance as she said, "not to mention, I would think it might be safer than to sleep here, in a village where people's humanity and mental state are deteriorating and turning them into feral beings."
