Harvey gave a nod. "We call Namine to the stand." Harvey knew it was the next best option at this point. After Namine, they could call one more person if required and then would come Axel, which Harvey was preparing for. He knew there were a lot of things involved once Axel would hit the stand, if the red head could remain focused, on what they needed to know.
I came, I saw, I conquered!!!! <3 you guys! You had gotten so far too.
OOC: Yeah, I was hoping Sora would kind of get in there. Also, Sombre could hop in too. We'll just improvise though I suppose and keep going. Pika, when I said no crossovers, it kind of did imply no crossovers from other series than FF or Disney. I'm debating whether to let you do it or not as I don't think Pika would be so bad but if I did I'd have to make more exceptions. If you have other characters you want that would be better. You could have Pooh if you wanted or other characters as well. You do a good job with a lot of the fill ins in the other RP. Riku yawned. "So, since we are kind of stuck waiting on sleepy head, want to train a bit? I could help you out with some moves and see how far you've come." Riku was kind of bored and there wasn't so much else to do at the moment. It was either spar Kairi or ponder going and getting some ice cream. Either sounded good to him at the moment but sitting around was kind of boring. "I'm a Replica of Riku that Vexen made at Castle Oblivion. I don't really have another name but sometime I will think of one...I hope." Repliku was calming down now figuring that although Roxas was kind of heated still, Namine had it under control. "I don't know why we are back. I just feel like there's some reason like we're supposed to do something important maybe."
Made it to 31? We must be slacking.
OOC: I think we may just have to run things kind of slow while ICSP debates life, TN is doing things and Pyro is gone for computer issues. You guys are always welcome to join my RP while we wait that I mentioned some time ago I would make. It seems to be moving along now. It's in the RP Extended area. Meanwhile I suppose if we don't go too fast, I bet we could probably call up Namine, since that is who was on Harvey's list anyway to call next. Then he decides between Sora or Riku because all that's needed after Namine is someone to tie up what happened where she wasn't which either Sora or Riku could do. By the time we probably got done with Namine, Pyro would probably be back and TN too and hopefully ICSP as well.
PM me or IM me sometime. I do want to help you out if I could. You getting tired of the RP and stuff? or just changing views? Whatever the case, if you need someone, I'll be around.
Repliku stopped smiling and looked over at Axel and then shrugged. "He can zone a lot. He thinks too much or something. Maybe it's a Nobody thing to do." Harvey rubbed his hands together. "Well, if they are not going to call someone up for examination, I can call up one of three people. It's up to the Defense, as you said, your Honor."
I saw him post too. He's just hiding again. Evil L. Never comes out and hides behind an invisible barrier.
30! No... 0 again. *flies away*
(TWTNW) Xigbar scoffed. "Larxene, whatever facade of animosity you have towards Axel, can it now. It isn't important in the least. After all, we have not shown you any so you can stop. Had you not been a traitor in the first place, you wouldn't have had a problem getting betrayed in the first place, now would you?" Xigbar let his words sink in and looked at Axel. "We have things to do like figure out what's going on, people! This petty stuff can wait. We don't even know yet how safe we really are. Think on that before you want to go offing each other. We may be all we have." Xigbar turned and walked towards the exit of the room. "If we need to, Superior, perhaps we can just take the sleepers with us and get one of the battle cruisers if we are to leave here. I'll go check out the territory to see how alone we are." With that he stepped out into the hall, calling the sniper Nobodies to him and then sending them out to go survey the Castle and world. He could get reports back as he also went roaming to gather info. (Twilight Town) Repliku frowned as Namine's hand went up but his sword relaxed to his side. He was not so happy to see the girl who had messed with his head and made him feel a fake promise was the only thing real to him. He now understood though what the problem was. Riku had obviously gone and left Castle Oblivion and somehow encountered Sora's Nobody. Yes, this was the one Vexen had been speaking of before his demise. It made sense now. "So you are Sora's Nobody. That clears up stuff. Whatever beef you have against Riku though, that's going to have to wait. I was made to be like him, but I'm not Riku and well, I'd advise you to leave him alone. He'd kick your butt."
Repliku snickered. "haha, you are funny, but that does sound kind of painful." He then gave Pika a hug as if he were a big stuffed animal and then put him down. "I'll get you some more since now I know where they are."
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. 0!
There are so many fanatical groups of Christians and Islamic followers that yes, it makes moderates look very poor. However, if people who believe in these religions were to actually take steps to prevent these kinds of things from happening, then outsiders of the beliefs wouldn't criticize so much. I have absolutely nothing against people who are believers of religions really. What I do get tired of is zealots and fanatics just being allowed to do whatever because they too believe in it and are so extreme they turn everyone's lives inside out. This program is just another example of a radical group trying to make impressions on kids and twist them and it's very saddening. There are nice people out there who follow Islam but unfortunately if they don't start standing up and stopping this stuff, others must put a stop to it and then, just as with Christianity, we see the martyr cards pop out from people. Really, it just is getting to me anymore how these things are not abolished straight off and banned in countries that do not support such radical views. I think the UK has every reason to gripe about this.
Pantheon deities such as Greeks, Norse, Celtic, Egyptian, etc were partially motivated by a desire to explain phenomena they could not grasp through science but also as a representation of human characteristics embodied into a form of a being and also expressions of nature spirits and the sort. Roman mythos basically were mostly derived from Greek mythos and also took in some Egyptian culture amongst other things. Roman beliefs largely stemmed around others they 'Romanized' into their culture. There are many older religions that wished to explain nature, animal instincts, human behaviors etc. The gods often represented things like 'love', 'strong harvest', 'sensuality', 'love of alcohol', 'happiness', 'death', 'life', etc. Many aspects of our existences that could be personified beautifully into an entity created were special; even the bad things or negative things that people often today try to avoid. The gods of course needed homes etc so elaborate places were created for them. Also, because of the nature of things like 'death vs life' and other opposite ideals existing, the gods would 'war' about these things amongst each other such as Hades and Zeus feuding or Osiris and Set, etc. The religions of the past which now are often called Mythos were meant to not just run people's lives but also they were seen as very beautiful and explained things while also exploring human nature to include things that today are seen as naughty to think about like sensuality, reproduction, partying, love affairs, etc. Even gay behavior was accepted and sometimes encouraged in some of the mythologies and the cultures people had. There wasn't so much that was considered taboo. It is important to mention though that some people do still believe in the mythologies as religion such as the Wiccans. These beliefs aren't totally extinguished though the monotheistic religions did suffocate them out quite a bit. It's also of interest to say that some people did not really believe in the gods back then and saw the stuff as fanciful stories but stories told really were very important to people back then and great battles, adventures and exploits, romances and more were just things people loved to hear about. Another thing to note is that the deities of the past often had weaknesses and strengths that made them feel tangible for humans to understand. Some kings or pharaohs etc back then also were candidates for godhood if they did the 'right' things in their lives. It was about understanding life and filling in gaps but it was also about the human condition and dealing with people's natures and nature itself. Also, some people that became seen as deities in the mythos actually did live or were made up to tell about a time of life from the past.
I'd tell you that basically in this case, you fell for peer pressure and that sucks but at the same time you don't have to be a victim to it again. At this point, if they bother you, I'd tell them to F off if they think they are going to do that again and who's the bigger p$$y...the person who says no and doesn't want crap in your body or the 'friends' who do it because they think it's cool? It takes a lot to be your own person at times and not just go with the crowd and it definitely doesn't make you a coward. I would hope that you have better friends than this to go hang out with and I'd just try to put it behind you unless they harass you. If you feel threatened by them, I would go ahead and tell your parents. You may get in some trouble but it's better to keep your family informed if something bad might happen as an outcome and your 'friends' don't get the clue to not involve you in such things anymore.
I've moved this to 'Help with Life' as it fits more here and it may be addressed more than in other areas. It could be that he really does not feel that things are going to work out between you or he needs some space from you to make his choice and you are seeming too clingy to him. You may want to give him a day or two and not make so many demands on him to pay attention to you. I'd let him have some breathing room and then call him and talk to him calmly and don't try to get him to do too much. Consider that he's your 'friend' and understand that while you are suffering, he's also going through a lot too. He is, after all, the one who is actually having to move and re-situate his life. Maybe you can convince him before he leaves to go do something fun and hang out and well, not make the goodbye so painful, whether you actually both decide to keep going out or not. He's clearly under stress and because he's moving probably he has a lot of demands from his family and also has to say goodbye to not just you but others he cares about. Moving, in the end, is just downright stressful. It's basically in a way time to think of things in a way that do you really want to cause him more stress. I'm sorry to put it to you like this, but both of you do need to talk, but expectations on him are not a good thing to do at this time. He will get more angry if you keep doing it so try to take some steps back, be supportive and try to see if you two can just talk about your future or not. I'm sure right now he's rather short on time with everyone else making demands from him so think on what's most important here, which is having him calm enough to ask him if you will want to keep going on as a couple or not over long distance.
Repliku took the chocolate bar, opened it and studied it a moment and then bit into it. Oh, it was delicious. It was certainly worth the trouble to get. "I could get you another one easier if you show me where you got it from" he offered since the Pokemon was being so kind to him. After all, exploiting Darkness powers for petty theft wasn't such a bad thing, was it?
Repliku brought his hand out and a Darkness shield came before him as the light orbs impacted, but failed to hold with the last blast and it sent him sliding on the floor. As he slid back he rolled to his feet and glared furiously as Darkness pulsated around his fist. "Well, instead of attacking me, wouldn't it have been better to try talking first, jerk!?" Repliku was getting tired but he refused to let it show. Darkness was a drain after a time. He brought his hand outward once again and sent a ball of black flame (Dark firaga) at Roxas. "So cut it out and tell me who you even are!" Of course, sending the blast wasn't the most brilliant thing to do but he was not going to back down from the Light bearing individual. Whoever he was, he had a tremendous amount of power but Repliku just wasn't the sort to back down until he was ready to die. He also somewhat lacked the knowledge that if you wanted to talk to someone, you don't really have to keep the fight going and that person may just stop if he actually did. Hooray for 2 days of life.
A cult is a group of people that believe in something that is unorthodox to the way others feel and so seen as something very negative. It rises though if successful and the movement is strong enough to become a religion. That religion then gets disproved or another religion comes and takes its place or it is absorbed...thus becoming a myth as it is no longer needed. It becomes a fantastic story. Of course, there are still people that believe in 'mythologies' that are around but because they are now in the minority, it's back to almost 'cult' status. In the end, I would call them all 'religions' because I know that people do follow some religions that predate Christianity, but also for the stories etc themselves, I would call them mythos. I also call the Bible tales mythos too. But the above statement pretty much to me sums up the evolution of religions well enough.
Sorry about that. Wasn't sure where to put it. Now I know.
