I voted Reptar. Reptar usually seems to be pretty funny though some of the others are really hilarious at times too. It was a hard choice.

Aerith was her original name in the Japanese version of FF VII. For some reason they decided to change her name to be Aeris in the English version believing it would be easier to pronounce 'right' since the 'th' in Japanese is pronounced softly and to some might sound more like an 's'. However, in KH they decided to go with her original Japanese name. I actually like it better and think it was a good idea.

As much as I'd say the Extended Rpg area is definitely not like -most- other RPGs because of its very heavy requirements, in one way it would merit the right to have a post count. After all, people do commit a lot of effort to writing things which can be compared to the writings in the Creativity Corner easily. Some of us write several paragraphs a post. The point with the Extended RPG is that it's meant to be a continuous story like a novel, just with a plot and instead of one person writing it, several people are. In that way it really is not so different from the Creativity Corner.

However, the downside is this why I would say no. The RP section as a whole is meant for entertainment. It is meant so that people can come together and RP whether with short posts and text talk and fanboy/girlism or if it's serious RP with long posts and commitment. There are varied styles of RP so that all of us can find something we want or invent an RP. This is entirely up to us. We do what makes us happy.

A few months ago when we voted to even be able to have an Extended RP area it was because the RPGs that people posted slower in but had much longer posts in were being lost all the time amongst the other RPGs where people post several times a day with one or two liners. It also let the area be distinguished separately so that members would know that if they wanted an RP that would be ran slower and yet have more depth and plotline, that they could go there and try it out. It made it so it was easier for us all in a way. It wasn't to be arrogant or say the RPs there were -better- but it was meant to separate them to give them more of a chance of surviving and to offer a different type of RP to members.

So, I would actually lean more to saying since members create the RPs for enjoyment, including the one I made, I recognize that it is still in the RP section overall and so the same rules apply. I spend my time there and all but even though posts don't count, it's because I want to roleplay. I also play a game in the regular RP section and we've gotten quite lengthy in there too. As much as I could in one sense wish posts would count, I can say that no, in fairness they should not since all RPs are meant for entertainment purposes of members so that we can hang out and have something fun to do. I would not say it does not benefit the site as much as some people are saying because unlike them I feel anything that keeps members coming around is beneficial to the site and the RPs do that. However, the RP Extended was never intended to be a 'we're better than you' sub-forum in the RP area so though more work goes into it, we are willing to do so to RP as we choose so I'd have to say no in the end.

Sorry for the lengthy post but I didn't want to just put the same thing others have with that many people would flock there etc because I believe CtR or whoever went in there could just close RPGs that don't belong there and meet the criteria. It's more of a thing to me that the standards don't justify post count because the whole of the RP section is simply for us to entertain ourselves and hang out together. Regardless of the RP itself, that's just how it is. I don't really see why some people are putting down the idea with such negativity but being in the area people post there because they want to and it's not about post count. Roleplayers are creative and quite a few -do- write in the Creativity Corner.

Your mom will probably figure it out if you wear stuff around your neck and act like it's there. The only option is to try to apply some kind of foundation or concealer stuff to it. Also, to get it to go down try using some ice and well, learn to not let people give you hickies on the neck. heh. If you have some Epsom salts you can use that with bath water and it can make bruises go down. I think though the only way you'll get through days of it not being noticed is to try the makeup route. There are only so many shirts you can wear that cover the neck with the way styles are now and the fact it's summer.

I hate to say it but I found all of the Org easy to beat. Demyx was only the one who killed me twice in the game because of the stupid time limit issue. All of the others I beat on the first try. Xemnas in the final battle I lost to twice because of one, getting Riku and not getting what to do at first...and the second time was the lasers. Other than that, all of them were easy to get through for me on Proud Mode. KH2:FM with the data fights proves to be more difficult in the end.

Also, I thought Ansem in KH was simple too and Marluxia was pathetic. I waltzed through them without losing once. In any FF game though too, the final bosses tend to be easy and I think Nomura intentionally does that so that people who want to see the ending can get through the final bosses to the ending easier when they repeat the battles etc. Really in any FF game or KH game, the side bosses you don't have to fight tend to be more difficult than the actual end bosses. It's just the way it's been and probably may always be.

Nope, this is going to be in the future with John Conner. I think it's going to explain how they get to the point of being able to send Kyle Reese back in time to help Sarah Conner. They have to fight etc a whole war so it could be very interesting if done right. I have hopes for it since Christian Bale is in it and he's a great actor.

I thought it looked great all the way up to the point I saw the main characters of Obi-Wan and Anakin and some other Jedi. Why would everything else look like so fresh and from the movies and yet...the heroes look like the crap artwork from the Clone Wars anime? I like Samurai Jack but even when that came out the story was good but the artwork for Clone Wars sucked. I really literally just 'awwed' when I saw the heroes because until then the trailer looked awesome.

The Clone Wars story in itself was really good and I think this can be cool, but not as cool as if they actually made the Jedi look -right-.

Yeah, despite how some people like to say animals have no feelings, I think they do. Animals do go through states of depression. I've noted it in cats, dogs, apes, monkeys, and even iguanas. Animals can express ranges of happiness, anger, hunger, agitation, etc. They do not have our intelligence, sure, but they do have feelings definitely.

I would agree with you there which is why if I do send to charity I try to ensure I know where it's going. However, if I can help out people in my area, I prefer to do that because I can actually see for true what I am doing with the money and what that person is. I have no problem donating my clothes I don't want or food cans etc but money to me is something that I'd actually make sure goes to the people who need it instead of some religious group bosses or corporate bosses so that they can sit back and get fat and drive expensive cars while those people who are starving to death get far less than they should. I still do now and then donate to other places but mostly with actual food and clothing and other items rather than money if I can help it. There have been way too many scams and if some get pointed out you know there's bound to be a ton more.

Most of those mythologies didn't just 'die out' but lessened dramatically by the infiltration of Christianity. There is enough proof even in the Bible to suggest some legends from Mesopotamia and Egyptian culture ended up in the Bible, just with slight name change alterations. Christianity and Islam grew in an area that was all along holding changing beliefs and with the fact the Roman Empire was Christianized and then the religion spread on through that to other cultures, things continued to change. The message of saying that worshipping any other deities was a sin and punishable by death was certainly often enough of a way to get people to change beliefs during times of occupation. Enough examples were made of people who disbelieved. The religions didn't just all die out willingly. They were pushed out as cultures were changed, people were forced under occupation, and others of the beliefs settled in. Sometimes they were peaceful changes and other times they definitely were not. Christian holidays are mostly pagan holidays ironically due to people not being willing to give up their holidays and festivals in the northern areas because truly, it kept their spirits up in dark months. Christianity adopted much of the Roman Empire ideal but whereas Romans tended to not push their gods on people and were rather open about whether they believed or not in anything, the Christian merging was different.

Really, Christianity and Islam have both absorbed things and changed to fit times and I do now actually occasionally see 'myths' with Christian legends stuck in there too or Muslim stories as well. Times are changing and any religion after a time is questioned. There just is a difference between a leap of faith and inquiry into the belief. Someday it too may be a thing considered as myth by the majority of people. Of course, then we may have another religion that is dominant in its place or none. That will be an interesting day to see.

How wretched. In the end it would seem that the guy was really in the wrong place at the wrong time in this case and that the other man was looking for a suitable victim. Very disturbing.

This is often the case when people investigate murders. Families will say the person who was killed was a great person and did nothing wrong and even toss in some great things they allegedly did in their time of life.

Why? Because perhaps it is a way to revere the dead because murder is an awful crime that takes the person out of life before they would naturally have met their end. I'm sure the people killed were not all angels but some people can't feel compassion for it unless they hear that is so, or at least that is what some people choose to believe. I could feel bad for anyone murdered, but that's just me. I'm no more happy to see the gang teenager who talks big and bullies people murdered than I would be to see the good volunteering youth who is in student council snuffed out. Both are still losses and though one may have started life rough, perhaps he never had a chance to see positive things enough and that's the culture he knew. In the end, I am of the mind that no one is a truly 'great' person all of the time and to be good or bad is a state of being of a moment. Those who do decide to commit to doing one or the other more often are remarkable people in society.

I've heard of a lot of cases of murder being like that, whereas in this country if someone is attacked but not killed often times it can even swing the other way that the defendant is protected more saying that the other person may have somehow evoked the attack. Even rapes can sometimes turn against the victim saying she dressed inappropriately. However, if she was murdered, the case would be different and all sympathy would apply. It's just the way for some reason some people's minds work.

Definitely America is not responsible for how Christianity alters. Christians change it from any nation to reflect how they want it to be. There are different schools of Christian thought. Religion changes and adapts to demands of people as they change or it is no longer sufficient to exist. Christianity has had little choice but to change from the way it originally was since we do not stand by some of the morals and ethics declared in the Bible. Other things have endured because perhaps they are timeless human lessons towards bettering oneself or dealing with a society. Some Christian groups fair better than others do even today. Some are more fanatical and nutty than others. In the end though, changes to any religion must happen if it is to remain present in any society because no society stagnates. Any of the older religions also show signs as cultures changed that they too altered, such as Egyptian, Norse, etc.

If someone has to kill an animal to survive, I don't see what's wrong with it. Also, I do not mind hunting at all. The only thing I am against truly is poaching or the 'sport' hunting such as fox hunting etc. If people aren't going to eat what they kill, they have no reason to hunt for it. If someone has to kill a wild animal to stop it from harming him/her, well yes, that is what has to happen. It's the rules of nature.

To put it into perspective though, if I'm getting attacked by an animal, I'm going to try to use commonsense and scare it away first but if that doesn't work well, I've got to fight. Nature doesn't just have peace loving leaf eating animals. There are some predators out there. I'm not just going to stand by and get eaten if I can help it. Even with some of the bigger herd animals, they can have bad tempers, especially around mating season. I'm certainly not just going to stand there. I wouldn't stand there if a human attacked me either.

Regardless how people keep trying to say we are above nature etc, we aren't. Some skills are necessary to keep honed. How many people actually do know how to survive in nature anymore? It's kind of amusing to think about. Some things may seem 'barbaric' to some people but to others it is a way of life. I'm certainly not about to tell people that actually eat the food they kill that it is bad for them to do so. The things that bother me more are poachers killing animals for ivory, taking furs etc when they aren't required for survival etc. I'm not an animal activist vegan though by any means. I eat steak, wear leather clothes now and then and I have hunted venison. Hunting in many cases actually helps people to respect nature more than those people who sit and complain eating veggies all day that hunters are so bad. Survival in nature I think is a good thing to teach anyone because you just never know when you might need it.

2000 rep is very hard to get and well, I really don't see what's wrong with the standards as they are now because I hate to take away premie from those who met the requirements also with the post count. If it did have to be raised though, I'd say maybe 200 rep sounds reasonable to achieve. I do hear what some of you are saying but I don't feel I'd want to make it miserable to reach premium status either. It just isn't such a big deal to me to make it super difficult to reach.
