Writer's block then? Stop writing, go do something else for a while to clear your head. Then come back and try again.

Also, try re-reading over what you've already written and the next thing might pop logically into your head.

    Hope that helps ^^

    Skins

Lol, that's exactly what I thought would happen. But I watched as many trailers and previews of upcoming episodes as I could and it looks really good. My friends also talk about it all the time.

    Skins

Lol, you mean normal teenage life then? :D

I saw it advertised on TV and was like "I HAVE TO WATCH THIS!" but I don't think my mum would have let me. Then I missed the first episode and have never watched it T_T.

All of my friends like it though, and it looks really good ^^

    Communism

I have always said that Communism is one of those things (religion is another one of these things IMO, but that isn't relevant for this debate ;P) that is perfect in theory, but the imperfections in humans for which it was designed cause it to fail.

There is another aspect that I don't has been touched upon. Some people want to be lead. They want to be told what to do by someone, they want to know who that someone is and where they are in the grand scheme of things. There are others who want to be that leader, they want control and power (but are not necessarily good or evil). These inequalities in peoples views cause the system to crash as some people rise up and some go down.

As for the benefits side of things, I agree that things like health-care and education should always be provided free. If a government can't realise that the health and skills of their population aren't that important they shouldn't be in power -___-. My mother works for the benefit office, phoning people up and asking for money back that they weren't meant to receive. Sometimes this is accidental, a computer or human error that has resulted in the incorrect amount being sent. But other times the person has intentionally fraud-ed the system out of money. It is those people I can't stand.

They are literally ruining life for others. They take the money and give nothing back to society. They say they can't find a job when they aren't even trying. They give the people who genuinely need assistance a bad name.

What the world needs to learn is that a balance is always needed. Communism and the free market are the two extremes and neither is practical or effective. The happy medium is the mixed economy. This means the government provides teh essential services such as healthcare, education, water, electricity etc but people can also run businesses, work in whatever job they want, rise to the top and see they are making progress in their lives.

In the UK, we have too many free-loaders. The safety nets set up to catch them falling out the bottom of the economy are too comfortable and they don't want to try to rejoin the rest of the hard-working and honest folk.

In the US, there aren't enough safety nets. People too often are left behind with no hope of rising out of their poverty on their own. I don't think that a country such as America should have poverty and still be able to call itself a major economic power.

Ugh, I had my dinner in the middle of typing this and can't remember what else I was going to say >_>

Money itself is not inherently evil. An inaminate object cannot be evil. It is the love of money that is evil. It is the burning greed in some people that drive them to such lengths as to kill for it.

Of course our society is driven by the want for money, money gives you status, food, shelter, security, ability to interact socially and a feeling of fulfillment. These are all motivators that drive people through life.

The only way to get rid of money (which would be practically impossible in our capatilistic society) would be for EVERYONE to give up money. Meaning you could go to the supermarket and lift what you needed because the supermarket got it for free from the supplier who got everything they needed free.

But that would never happen in a million years, people just love money too much......

I think that if a tree grew under perfect conditions with no threat from disease or other plants or man it could probably grow forever. We die because our cells are programmed to die on their own. Nothing to do with how healthy you are, you are programmed to die. Plant cells are probably different (mainly because their cell structure is so different).

I have heard worse than that. I remember a story about a man who made a joke about George Bush while at the gym with friends. His friends reported him to the FBI and they arrested him. For making a joke. That is what happens in a dictatorship, not a so-called 'democracy'.

Another anti-war community group, was planted with a mole from the FBI. They were considered a 'threat to national security' (along with anything else that doesn't comform to the view of the American government). They only found out when the man was knocked over and killed and they saw him on the news with his real name -___-.

As for this, America works on a policy of "Freedom of speech for those that can afford it and who say what we agree with".

The movie was good IMO. It was full of action, had enough interspersed comedy, involved death fights between giant robots and had a reasonably hot actress in it :P

But as for plot and dialogue, it was rather lacking. But the action made up for it.

Lol, I am even writing a novel to that effect :D. I agree that governments are controlled by the private sector. Anything that would be uneconomical and it is thrown out of Parliament/Congress. Many say the war in Iraq was purely for the oil, again an economical gain. Basically, government is no longer about what is good for the people, it's about getting votes, in whatever way possible.

On-topic (^^; ) I think that Bush made the wrong choice of career. I think that he is not that bad a person, just ill-suited for being president. Also, many of the people around him are as much, if not more to blame, than him.

Over the war, I agree that Saddam had to be removed at some point, but not for Americas reasons. The American government intervenes when Americas national security is perceived to be at risk, all other concerns are secondary. That I think is the wrong reason to go to war.

For the piss-poor handling of Katrina I blame the national government, not Bush specifically. It was failings in the organisations set up to deal with such disasters (FEMA I think >_>) that should be blamed, although this indirectly makes bad for Bush as he really should have got such organisations sorted out.

As Repliku pointed out, he brings far too much religion into government, where there really should be as little as possible. Politics is supposed to be neutral with regards to religion. Religion just gives politicians more unnecessary agendas than they already have.

With regards to 9/11, that was the FBI and governments fault for not acting on the information. Although, even if they had acted, could they have stopped it? All they might have done was delay it. To Bush, the threat may have just been one of the many folders placed on his desk when he entered office.

    Lol, that was a multi-directional post/rant >_>

As for who I would vote for, in our elections, Labour all the way. I don't trust the Conservatives >_>
