It is two seperate diseases, Foot and Mouth disease and Blue Tounge disease. Foot and Mouth struck before and crippled the meat industry in the UK. Every country closed it's ports to British Beef. The US's ports are still closed to this day. Then recently there were outbreaks caused by the accidental release of the virus from a research facility, one of the few in Europe authorised to handle the virus for safety reasons.
Blue tounge disease has made it's first appearance in the UK. It was in Europe and is spread by midges. This, as you can imagine, makes it very difficult to contain.
Both of these lead to the mass culling of animals. It is really destroying the primary sector =/

Lol I just saw MRSA in that document. That is the disease that is sweeping through hospitals in the UK. People go in for a simple routine operation and come out in a body bag with MRSA on their death certificate.

    A.I.

The thing with AI is that currently it is limited to programming parameters. It literally can't think outside of the box. Once it reaches the limit of it's programming it stagnates.

Once they make machines which are self-learning, they can pass those boundries and the possiblities are limitless. Once this happens I think that they should be accepted into society as a new race or something. Integrating them into humanity rather than continuing to treat them as tools. They would be too smart to take that anymore.

Not really, it's a debate. Posts should contribute constructively. If they don't they just ruin it -___-.

I agree with this idea although the person would have to be reliable and completely objective.

If it would be possible, banning members from specific areas of the forum. Some people only cause a problem in one area of the site (like posting nothing of use to get their post count up in areas). I am thinking mainly of the Arts and Graphics section where people say something like "Oh that was good. Make more" -___-

Also in the Intelligent Discussion area where people are constantly posting along the same lines. Not contributing to the thread or just riling people up.

This probably isn't even possible, but I thought I'd throw it out there ^^

I ADORED that movie, lol I even intend to dress up as V for a halloween party thing ;D

The plot was a bit iffy but that was because it concentrated on some deep issues. I also loved his v speech and the musical score was classic (in more ways than one :P).

    Definitely recommended.

Remember, remember the 5th of November
    Gunpowder, treason and plot
I see no reason why gunpowder and treason
    Should ever be forgot.

I believe there is more but that's all I was taught as a child

But without our technology and advances do we have anything left? I think the question needs to be more specific. Does it mean human as in the organism, the species, or the 'civilisation'.

Give some examples. It's easy to say you think animals should be treated well, but in what situations? If you were starving to death and you saw an (edible) animal in front of you and you had the means to eat it, would you kill it? Or would you stop to think about how the animal feels and let it live while you die? Some evils are necessary.

Well I was born and grew up in Northern Ireland so there is probably some Irish in there. Maybe some English, definitely some Scottish.

The Hunter family came from Scotland came from Scotland originally during the Ulster Plantation. Before that they came from Normandy in France ^^
