By linear I meant that the areas are basically one big hallway, with the exploration dropped to the bare minimum. Also: Yay! Forum's back up!

It was a strange aspect for the reploids to understand, but they listened nonetheless. "We may not understand how it works with people like her, but at least you know how to bring her back." Zero said. Jail then directed X and Zero to bring Dearche to her room. "If you would come with us, your highness, we will bring you to your room to rest." X said, lending his hand to Dearche.

Eh, I assumed they'd be wrong about it. All they got from her was Data anyway.
And posted. Zero tried to "reinitialize" her.
"On it. Let's see...Zero, is it just me or is she giving off...Nothing?" "You're right...Nothing. Nothing but data, that is." "Data? You mean...She's like a program?" "Right. But that's not important. We need to get her breathing again." Zero said, placing the tip of his Zero buster on Dearche's chest. He then sent a shock through Dearche's body. This surge was meant to reinitialize any defective programming inside something. It worked on Reploids, so it could work on Dearch, though she was a program, not Reploid. Meaning there was less of a chance of it working.

"Thank you, sir. Zero, let's go." X said, running for a conveniently placed escape pod in the back of the ship. The reploids stepped inside. "You think our shortness freaked him out?" "Totally." The reploids laughed, admittedly out of character, before high-fiving each other. X activated the escape pod before charging his Mega Buster. The escape pod shot out from the bottom of the ship, where X shot a hole in the side of the pod. The reploids jumped out from the hole and into the ocean. The two reploids then swam up to the top of the Saint's Cradle, where they found Dearche, laying lifeless atop the ship. Using their internal comm units, the reploids could communicate with each other underwater without water getting into their internal workings. "This must be it. Let's get her inside." X said. "Right. I'll grab her legs, you grab her arms." X then contacted Jail. "Dr. Scaglietti, we've found the source of the impact. It looks like a small girl." X explained. "Can you get us back inside?"
*Shakes other fist, keeping a safe distance*
