I thought it was because the main growers and exporters of carrots in Europe was Holland (or maybe Austria =_=) and they breed them until they were orange because it matched their flag x.x Then the purple carrot quickly petered out until modern day where they are a rarity.

Everyone wants the Artic now because all of the more easily accesible oil sources are running dry. There is (apparantly) quite a lot under the arctic, so the various nations are rushing to stake their claims. Although, knowing our world now (and reading lots of fiction xD) there are probably 'other' reasons for the mad dash. >_> <_<

A wormhole takes by taking two points in time and space and pinching them together making travel between the two points instantaneous, even if they are light years and/or eons apart. You aren't broken apart in a wormhole. In a black hole, the massive tidal forces of the gravity at the singularity spaghettifies you (surprisingly that is a scientific term =_=) and rips your atoms apart and adds them to the overall mass of the black hole making it bigger and its gravity stronger.

    ^Many problems with that.

First of all, all electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light (roughly 3x10^8 m/s). Meaning there would still be a speed limit. Also, you would have to send the machinery in the first place to be at the other end. Then you would have to wait for communication confirmation that it arrived and is fully functional. Then you would have to run tests. Then you may or may not send someone. You would have to wait for them to arrive and to communicate to show if it was successful or not.

    Veeerrrryyyyy complicated =/

Oh and I just remembered, would the energy produced not be mostly uniform? When matter is converted to energy, the only difference between two different conversions is the amount produced.

Homework is needed to reinforce what you've done in class. It isn't that hard really, except when it's coursework

    Then you cry T_T

Just like how you can't say "Money doesn't grow on trees". Have you seen every tree in the universe? Why, right now there could be an orchard of trees on a distant planet, just entering Autumn. All around filling the air with their soft rustling is the sight of £5 notes drifting around aimlessly. All of it going to waste of course :P

Political Correctness is rather ridiculous IMO. We are no longer allowed to say brain storming, blackboard, sing Baa Baa Black Sheep (it has to be Rainbow Sheep =_=) among other varied and equally ridiculous things. T_T
