This puts the political process in Pakistan (which was finally beginning to stabilise) in jeopardy and the January elections my not go ahead now.

On her arrival after her self-imposed exile she survived a double suicide bomb attack in which 130 people were killed. Now it seems she was shot by a gunman who then blew himself up killing 15 people.

    Thoughts? =/

I just can't believe they killed the tiger. I mean tigers are naturally wild animals, hunters at that. This is normal behaviour. The old saying is "You play with fire, you're going to get burned". Also, if they were taunting the tiger or helped it get out they deserve everything that happened to them. After all they caused the death of the animal, which is endangered.

Either the family/families of ther person/people responsible should have to pay for the lost tiger or at least donate an equal or greater sum to a charity which helps tigers in the wild or the police force that actually killed it should. Or better yet the zoo should, they put the tiger in that position in the first place.

I also think the fact that children are expected to grow up so fast these days couldn't be helping. Also, parents tend to be over-protective or just couldn't care less (I can see that may be a gross over-simplification). My parents for example were quite over-protective but I have to admit there was also the aspect of my laziness or at least my dislike of playing outside after a certain age. Technological advances also need to be taken into account. Kids don't have to go outside or actually interact with people to be entertained anymore, and it is certainly taking its toll.

Also, children are more attuned to what is going on in the world. I for one watch the news as much as possible. On the point of the external environment (as opposed to the environment experienced inside the home) it is now more dangerous to go outside, or at least the perceived threat is greater. With all of the media hype over paedophiles and stabbings and gun crime many parents don't want their children leaving the garden if even the house. The media brings the threats of the world to your living room and local community x]

I think it is a good idea also, it telling you that you've gone over but not by how much really isn't enough information. If you were only over by a few characters you could end up deleting half the sig.

But I suppose it is only a minor thing and we've managed to survive without it up till now. I don't change my sig very much anyway so meh =_=

Lol, logic exists to make sense. Also there are the group who couldn't care less about how everything was created. Why should they care? It happened long before they were born, and it isn't going to end in their lifetime (hopefully lol). Thinking about things so big and deep takes away from your life, and we don't have a lot of time on this Earth, why waste it? =/

Although, if I had to choose sides I would say some form of Darwinism.

Exactly, if past mistakes aren't learned from they are doomed to be repeated. There should at least be an investigation. But I don't think it needs to be a criminal investigation, although considering the culture we live in today the parents are almost more likely to head straight to their solicitors office than the hospital/morgue.

My only hope is that in the seven years following the publishing of this report some change has occured to fix this massive gap in the knowledge of (apparantly) the adult American public at large (no pun intended :p)

And yet this apparantly happens all the time in the Catholic faith. Confession allows the committing of sins without consequence. A criminal who believes in God and follows the Catholic path can go to confession, ask for forgiveness and still enter heaven.

Whereas someone who is a non-Catholic christian or does not follow any religion containing a heaven/hell structure may go their entire lives committing no crimes or sins and be treated the same if not worse.

Defeats the prupose of being good IMO.

Please correct me if I am wrong, I hope to use these debates to better and improve my views on topics such as religion x]

    Existential thinkers:

    * Like to spend time thinking about philosophical issues such as "What is the meaning of life?"
    * Try to see beyond the 'here and now', and understand deeper meanings
    * consider moral and ethical implications of problems as well as practical solutions

Like existential thinkers, Leonardo questioned man's role in the universe. Many of his paintings explored the relationship between man and God.

    Other Existential Thinkers include
The Buddha, Gandhi, Plato, Socrates, Martin Luther King

Careers which suit Existential Thinkers include
Philosopher, Religious leader, Head of state, Artist, Writer

Meh I like the idea of being Head of State =D But I don't know where Religious Leader came from :x

I'm talking about stopping this from happening again. I'm sure the owners are distraught but there are still serious problems that need to be addressed.

I think that even though they had a disclaimer for injuries there may still be a case for negligence against the owners, or at least a contravention of some form of health and safety legislation.

At least people will think twice about going there =_=

This.........is.......disturbing. How can a country with so much power in the world be so ignorant and know so little? How can the government expect people to make informed decisions about important topics like stem cell research if they don't have the first clue? I feel so sorry for Americans.

I think the main problem is people aren't learning from the mistakes of the past. People are being brought up with all the bad habits of their parents and passing these on to their children, along with whatever else they've picked up along the way.

I just think our generation gets slagged for no good reason. It's time for people to wise up and remove or change the bad elements or at least acknowledge that the good elements exist.

Parents need something to something to blame other than themselves. The last people parents blame is themselves when more often that not it is the parents that screwed up the child.

This is just going to happen more and more often until one or both of two things happen:

    (a) Guns become a lot less accessible
    (b) Parents become better at being parents, like the saying goes "Any man can become a father, but there are only some can be Dads" and the same applies for women.
