It's a Heartless Form in a way to reflect the use of doing too much calling on form power. Basically, I think it represents using power too much could corrupt him since he was a former Heartless in KH1 and well it suggests that it is a potential path he could take since everyone but PoHs in KH have Darkness in their Hearts. It makes no sense to be a Nobody and I doubt it also represents in any way the Unbirths either. All of the Drive Forms he had are representations in a way.

Well, I wasn't 'upset' as much as I was like... eh over it. The game needed a revival and it wasn't happening really and I wanted to make it more exciting for you guys so altering up the rules some and doing some extra things, then getting a master plan from ICSP there helped rejuvenate things more. It wasn't like the former Kiras were bad. Just we weren't getting that fun and spice in the game as it was becoming so predictable.

    Awwright...

Here's the gruesome 'truth' of the whole last episode, though if I miss some things, I will feel bad but others can detail hehe.

ICSP was indeed the Kira for the Round. However, he had a Misa, which was Heartless_Vice. The two would often trade the Notebook whenever heat was getting onto either of them, so no one would catch them both simultaneously since never were they both accused at around the same time. Suspicions for both were of course, pretty validated but they were very good at passing the notebook amongst themselves.

To add to the confusion, ICSP initiated giving out a fake Death Note as well, which went to Shades, then to Amber and then to Pika_Power. Ironically, Amber tried to kill off Pika and then when Pika got the fake DN, he tried to kill off Amber.

To add further fun, you guys were -this- close to really catching Heartless_Vice but he passed the DN off to ICSP in the nick of time and wrote in his own death set for 2 days which ironically was at the time that Cocohints accused him again. Since the DN was in ICSP's hands Heartless_Vice was found innocent.

Another twist on this was that Cocohints...her real name is unknown since she was smart and changed her name and well, three people tried to have her killed off but they all failed. Points for that, Coco. :)

ICSP also in the end, why he 'forgets' about his duty as the Kira is because he set up an agreement with the Shinigami, as Light did in the show, that he would forget his time with the Death Note etc should he say a line to Ryuk. So this is why he had no recollection and was released and well, won't recall he was the narty Kira.

So, in the end, ICSP was the Kira and mastermind and Heartless_Vice was the Misa who did most of the kills, some fake Death Notes were passed out which were quite fun for me to write back to them and say they failed to kill the person selected.

This was a very epic round and I hope you guys enjoyed it. We'll begin Round 14 in a new thread probably later tonight or after I get out of school tomorrow. We'll see how the day pans out.

    Accusation
    Cocohints accuses ICSP.

After the unusual death of Heartless_Vice and the fact he was rummaging around as if desperate to find something, Detective Cocohints sends the police out to find ICSP.

A cinematic sequence though transpires before where ICSP is in his basement with Ryuk. "Special cat is speshul!" he says as the Shinigami laughs and munches on an apple dipper....

They burst into his house through the windows and doors all swat cool style. Oh yeah, they've got to have their man this time, right? Some wonder because ICSP had already been accused twice before, but hey, they were all getting desperate as tons of people were dying. This -had- to be the Kira or who was even left?

In the living room the TV is on, paused at a video of reports about the Kira and describing the Death Note. However, he is not to be found until members of the police get to the basement.

ICSP is in his basement looking rather destitute there on the floor with the Death Note sitting on the floor not so far from his grasp. He's almost horrified that the book is there. When questioned, he says he has no idea how the book got there.

Taking him down to the police station reveals that he just may be telling the truth. He is tortured in every way possible and even L doubts after a bit that ICSP has any recollection of any deaths and he has no clue how he came to possess the Notebook. He is held for days of scrutinizing investigation but other than having the Death Note it seems he just doesn't know a darned thing about it all.
    _________________________

However, investigations show that no more killings for the round transpire and so perhaps Cocohints was right!

In the late night though when ICSP is at last released from custody, the Notebook once again under tight surveillance suddenly turns up missing and though he is monitored, he shows no signs of having been given it again and perhaps a new Kira will emerge.

I thought this was on the live action one...which I want to see a lot more. I really liked Samurai Jack but honestly...I hated his artwork on cartoon series and the movie out now is a 3d of it, which kind of irritates me that if I watch it I will have to suffer through the awful graphics of the main characters even as the other things look fine.

I wish George Lucas would just do the live television series he was supposed to and kill the cartoons already. The Clone Wars cartoon series was good except for the very bad artwork. But I've been anticipating the live show with the green Twilek for some time. bah.

    Charming?

Well, we all have a lot of personality, seriously. MPD is when certain personalities get isolated, usually from a traumatic experience but it's all still the same person, just divided up. With therapy and time these personalities emerge to show that they are actually parts of the original person, just given new identities.

We all have our good side, bad side, sad side, emo side, angry side, joyous side, reckless side, hyper side, etc. These are in each of us but we as we go through life tone some down and turn some up. At various points we adjust these sides almost as if we are using winamp and adjusting the volume and speakers etc. Some people try to deny sides of themselves instead of accepting them and molding them how they'd want them to be. But seriously, we are all multi-faceted beings that cannot be 2 dimensional except by how we display ourselves to others or close our minds on certain aspects of ourselves.

We treat people around us based on how we choose to be in ourselves. How we judge others, empathize with others and socialize depends on how we will react to them. Probably most people won't talk to a new person they've just met the same way they'd talk to a family member or an employer or employee. Hope this makes sense because so many people try to deem 'sides' of themselves as something so weird when really it's all part of the whole person and perfectly normal. The only time it would not be normal is if a person blanks out, finds him/herself in another part of the house or something and has no memory while others say that the person was acting all strange. It's normal for us to be able to switch moods and temperaments. Just because someone else might say 'wow, you really are a different person when angry' etc doesn't mean it's true.

OOC: The portal was redirected to the train station since they need to go pick up Roxas at the Usual Spot.

I also want to ask something of everyone. Please understand that although you have control over your characters, the bosses and enemies here are well, mine to control. I know many of you are used to other RPs that you just can make your characters encounter beings, but here, this is a delicate storyline and you will definitely meet the enemies I've created, but please don't be hasty and try to encourage it early or try to control them in any way. I have a lot planned and if people take away the way the enemies are introduced it kind of makes me loose my train of thought on what to do with the villains so be patient and very very soon you will see them. :)

Also, combat is going to be interesting, which I will explain more once we get to that. You'll be able to though write out attacks of intentions and to make it interesting, I'll be rolling some dice to see how successful or well..not successful the attacks declared are so that you have variation and I'm not totally deciding what happens and won't seem 'biased'. The bosses and enemy battles will be quite similar to how the games work, I hope, with how I have it set up, but of course they have their own unique abilities and sometimes one strategy isn't going to work so great on them, just like in the games. Some may also have weaknesses to some elements etc. We'll get to that though soon enough as you will encounter some of the enemies in short time. :) If it's confusing now to understand, it won't be when we get to it. I hope you'll enjoy it and as said before, this RP is meant to be different from the regular ones, though it is still free-form. I may take some of the summaries written and post them in CC so we have a log of our events as they are coming out very story-like. We'll see though. You guys are awesome and I do hope you are having fun with this.

Since some people aren't here as much and have asked for it... here you go. A recap of what is going on for everyone.

    The World That Never Was:

The Nobodies awakened for the most part in the Proof of Existence. They found themselves returned to their former glory and powers as they sat up from above their tombstone markers. However, they also came to realize that Maleficent had decided to take over their castle which we dub the Castle Naught at this time since it seemed to have no name in the KH games. The Organization members dispatched of quite a few Emblem Heartless that she had stationed there and Xemnas 'convinced' her to leave or well, it was her death. She disappeared, departing with some haughty words and the thorny vines of hers as well as the Heartless were contended with.

Demyx decided that he did not wish to remain with the Organization anymore and wanted to get out and try another method of getting his Heart because this whole mission last time failed and he just didn't have it in him to be oppressed or well, fight as he had against others. He had studied Axel and Roxas and wanted what they had possessed, real friendship and maybe that was a way to get a Heart back or at least make him feel more like he had one. Demyx went to Dark Portal and he heard a voice and after a bit the force let him get to Destiny Islands. However, after this all of the Nobodies would discover that they could not leave the domain of TWTNW, though they could still Dark Portal within the world. Xemnas researched as hints came to the Nobodies and it could be discerned that whoever held them here wanted something from them that had to do with their very Souls.

Another discovery was that a new Nobody had turned up named Tony, that someday soon would probably be renamed as Toxyn. He had been wandering for 8 days, which was the time when any Nobodies began to be dragged to TWTNW, and he was a lost soul, as all Nobodies are when they first return to existence. Lacking solid memories of his past for the moment, he was brought by the lesser Nobodies to Xemnas and sent to a room to wait while Xemnas was in council with the awake Organization members, as they would have issues with the past and the present. Another Nobody named Xelax had also turned up to be residing in the Castle Naught and had been avoiding Maleficent, learning from the Lesser Nobodies about some of the history of the Organization.

The debate to decide which Nobody would be sent by their combined powers to try to break through the barrier around them was on. Larxene or Xaldin were both volunteers and contenders but could Larxene be trusted...and would they want to lose Xaldin who could be trusted if something bad happened? Oh the dilemma.

    Twilight Town

In Twilight Town, at the mansion, Namine would appear suddenly in her white room. Roxas would appear in the basement at the spot where he had joined with Sora in the alternate TT. Riku Replica appeared at the spot he had died in outside the mansion on the front lawn, which happened in Castle Oblivion, but the scenic area was the same. Riku Replica and Roxas would have a run in, which Roxas was very angry and confused Riku Replica's identity with Riku's, while RR with his Darkness temper easily also flared and the two fought. Namine came to break the two up and the three of them decided to be at peace for the time being and try to discern why they had returned. They left the mansion and Roxas decided he wished to see Hayner, Pence and Olette, despite not having 'real' memories with them. He hoped he could make friends with them and make something more real. The other two followed and were willing to let him have his time to sort things out.

Unfortunately, as they had made it through to the woods, DiZ showed up and informed them that they had returned for a reason and that either one entity was at work or two. Their return, including his own, was only a precursor and he informed them that the remaining Organization members and many lesser Nobodies also had come back to exist but were trapped in TWTNW. Feeling that all 4 had been returned for a reason, they pondered the fact that they were meant to help them since they had actually not been stuck in TWTNW. If not to help them, perhaps there was some other purpose. Whatever the reason, Roxas decided that this was too much and he wanted to at least go talk to Hayner, Pence and Olette before he would continue on. Raxtion, a new fellow to the life of heroics but definitely not a newb to traveling around, caught up with the group after being lured in their direction by some bolts of lightning that had appeared. Perhaps these bolts of lightning he saw had something to do with the return of Namine, Roxas and Riku Replica. Otherwise, the three knew nothing of why it would have happened as the skies were now clear.

Roxas ran off to speak with the 3 who cordially greeted him and they remarked at how he was somewhat like Sora. Roxas would tell a little fib declaring Sora was his brother and the three accepted it since they looked close enough alike and seemed similar. They would invite him to hang around with them more as they found him to be cool and of course they warned him about Seifer and his group.

The others however took off through a portal made by DiZ, where they would encounter the Destiny Islands kids, along with a couple mysterious other people...

    Destiny Islands

Riku and Kairi met each other on the kiddy island and were discussing about the mysterious King's note that was found by Kairi a few days before. Having no transportation and believing the words could not have been from the King himself, since it didn't sound at all like him, they were stuck with what to actually do.

A mysterious dark woman named Sombre would approach the kids and she told them she had felt drawn to them and a voice in her head said to find them. They accepted her soon enough and then Sora would show up, being the sleepy head he could be when he had no heroics to do. He had gone home and taken a nap but now was ready to tackle the situation head on, or at least help his friends think since all were stuck there on the Island with nothing to go off of other than a note.

Demyx, having Dark Portaled from TWTNW and having a rather eerie experience with a voice, soon found himself on Destiny Islands. He was vastly relieved though he now knew the other Organization members were in trouble. He though took the time to explain himself and after expressing some agitation and others getting over feelings, Demyx soon was a bonafied member of the team. Having now also a method of leaving the world if they wanted to, the team showed Demyx the note from the King and asked of his assistance so they could go find King Mickey. Soon though, DiZ, Namine and Riku Replica and Raxtion would arrive. Imparting the knowledge they had formerly gained, the whole group now seemed to realize that the Organization actually really was going to need their help to get free of the imprisonment and not end up as Soul Batteries for some evil entity. Demyx was reluctant to return saying that he was lucky he had made it out of there and it was only because that force had let him after mocking him some. Namine and Riku Replica also had a little spat concerning their time back in the Castle Oblivion and it was apparent how scarred both of them were from the events, despite one being a Nobody and the other being a 'fake'. The group reconciled differences for the most part between Namine, Riku Replica, DiZ, Sora and Demyx and now they had to figure out their best course of action.

However, another new person showed up named Jack. He was a former resident of Radiant Gardens and eager to help and well, move things along. He made a portal to Twilight Town, encouraging the others to begin moving back so that they could assist the Organization, after the group had debated over the idea back and forth and also tried to discern some sort of strategy.

In the present now, the group is heading through a Dark Portal, or those that went through any way, that will set them outside of the Train Station in Twilight Town.
    ___________

Hopefully this catches everyone up to the current situation and now we all won't be lost. Any questions, feel free to PM me or go ahead and ask here.

    Charming?

I'm usually amiable but I am also very blunt and straight forward. Sometimes I find that being blunt and straight forward is a negative thing, but I continue to do it and say that it is in my nature to not be deceptive or throw up fake personalities and people do actually find it refreshing and at least they know I am always 'real' with them.

However, in a world where people want 'ego boosts' and we are also taught to often pretend you are happy when sad or that you like someone when you can't stand them, etc... there are a lot of people who have come to accept people can be very fake. These people thus expect that if they hold certain positions of authority or rank, such as a person that works in the bank as a teller, a person that writes your checks, a person that watches over a line of workers etc, they know people will have issues with them and possibly even won't like them because they hold something over other people. An employer has the right to hire and fire anyone pretty much. A store manager can get you something or keep it to him/herself and give it out to preferred customers who butt kiss or he/she knows and likes more. People make connections to these people of 'power' in a position where others need things or want things despite the fact that the person may be an utter jerk.

So you are recommended to be 'charming' and charismatic so that you can get in to the opportunities in case the person in the position of power over something you want is rotten. Some people just know people 'hate' their position and so it is also an ego boost to them when people come along pandering to them, catering, etc. It caters of course to their position and not what the person is outside of that, but since people have grown to accept that many others are fake, it tides them over unless they really are people that are sick to death of butt kissers that put on a happy face and are just there because they 'want' something. I've met plenty of people that despite how we get taught to talk people up, they can see through it easily and it annoys them even as they smile right back at you.

To not be a total negative person on outlook though, I will say again that despite being blunt and straight forward, I am genuinely usually amiable and try to have a friendly disposition unless I do feel someone is a really rotten scumbag. Being nice certainly doesn't hurt but I do believe you can also toss masks aside and some people are really grateful when people do because they come to realize that they get what they see. Charisma is also not just well, pandering. Charm pretty much is acting. Charisma though also has to do with your actual personality but just embellishing certain qualities of yourself for the audience you are around to include even how you dress, speak, your mannerisms etc. You can be charismatic around friends on the street or in a dental office or at school or at some job interview, or at a bar etc. It's more a blending in to the scene and showing you are comfortable with it and can kick it in that environment, meaning people are more likely to perceive you positively. I can be very charismatic but charming, not so much because I am not trying to warm up people unless I think they are sad and need a boost of self-esteem or assistance in some way, or I'm hitting on girls. >.>

Actually, the only thing that annoyed me was falling off the island. Other than that, the Riku match to me was the best thing to do to level up, gain tech points and you get a potion at the end. Fighting Riku to get all 99 potions and then racing him for the pretty stones was what made leaving DI easy and I didn't have to restock potions and had no lack of money all the way until Tarzan's world. Also, the techs were better. I thought the taunts were funny as it showed that Riku had actually been teaching him probably for some time.

Fighting someone over and over does get boring though.

Cocohints accuses Heartless_Vice. The police go to raid his house and see that he is already in a state of madness, frantically searching for 'something'. Tossing things about his room, he is rather furious. He turns to the cops and then bursts out laughing madly. He then falls over from a heart attack. Time of death, 11:30 am Pacific. The police check through the place and all they find is a bag of apple dippers on the desk and a place they couldn't possibly hope to make more messy by their search. They are deeply saddened by this because that's one of the fun things for cops to do is leave the places they search an absolute mess. :(

The theory is an interesting one. I don't know if Nomura would actually think to use though a relation to the word "vorarephilia".

Darkness and it's attraction for people has been a theme of KH but also of many movies and books to include such things as Star Wars with the Dark Side of the force, heroes being tempted by dark powers etc at the cost of being consumed by it.

If we take a look at how Riku's fall went, he had a couple flaws basically which consisted of that he didn't want to be alone and wanted to be 'needed' by his friends. This led him to a world of hurt as Maleficent was attempting to lure him into Darkness telling him that his friend Sora had replaced him. He also became more frustrated with Sora when it appeared he's just gallivanting around the universe looking for some King, Riku wasn't welcome to join them, and also no one seemed to be looking for Kairi or trying to help her. Riku was encouraged to do acts at the cost of his conscience which he did because he was desperate to save Kairi but the Darkness itself was having its effects on him. Sometimes we'd see scenes with Riku where his eyes look all funky odd etc as the Darkness is setting in. He also becomes much more tense, anxious, frustrated, angry etc as he takes in more Darkness, but the power is also feeling good. He says things to Sora even about their competition...which never would have even been thought of before on Destiny Islands, at Hollow Bastion and makes Sora seem like an enemy. This is Darkness consuming Riku and twisting his emotions etc to be negative.

Also, outside of Riku, we can look at the temptation that the 6 apprentices had which ended up making them give up themselves to Darkness in the search for more power. These members all become of the Organization. Ansem the Wise also, due to losing his world and feeling tremendous guilt and wanting revenge, went into Darkness but did not give up fully, though he describes that it would be rather easy to do so. The Darkness and destruction in KH is not just well a simple choice but is actually a power and while people use it, it takes from them. Everyone, except for the Princesses of Heart, has Darkness and if it gets awakened, as it was in Riku by Maleficent, or Xehanort and the members beneath him, or Ansem, it becomes something that also affects their minds and hearts. Their reasoning becomes faulty etc as it is more tainted and emotional. Certainly, I doubt anyone would consider that Ansem the Wise or Riku, with how calm they were at the first scenes we see them in, could evolve into doing some of the things they had done. Also, young Xehanort with a lack of memories probably had no wishes to be as bad and simply wanted answers.

So, you are probably onto somethings when you say the Unbirths may be what happens to beings that allow themselves to be consumed by Darkness. I'm thinking that it has something to do with allowing Darkness to consume the spirit of a person willingly as well, and that they are an obvious precursor to the Heartless, since those at the time did not exist. They may instead be the people that give in and alter without having some outside entity 'devour' them but instead Darkness does itself. I'm not sure though but this was an interesting concept to delve into studying the word vorarephilia and also thinking on why someone would want to let Darkness take them. I agree that the symbol itself of the Unbirths does seem to lend some information about them. In a way, I almost would say perhaps the lure is something like how some people wish they could be vampires, having the powers and all but at a cost, and then how in every vampire novel, things tend to end tragically. That's a long stretch though.

Unbirths aren't seen in any game except for BBS as far as we know at this time. That would lead me to believe that somehow perhaps King Mickey, Terra, Ven and Aqua figured out some way to either send them away, put them in a state of dormancy, or release them to well, going back to whole people somehow. So, we may end up seeing them in KH3 with the new boss, whoever that will be, or not. It would make sense to think that somehow the past group of Keybladers found some way to move them out of harm's way so their presence was not known 10 years later in KH etc. I'm doubting they'd just be obliterated since not everyone is going to go out and buy a handheld console to play BBS and a new enemy is a new enemy to spruce up a game. That's of course a guess on the irony of the situation.
