Anyone still think that it's a choice? lol

Anyway, I think this is really interesting. It shows something that decides someones sexual orientation for them.

    Any comments?

    I've run dry xD;

Most of those just fall under Sod's Law (Murphys Law to you Americans >_>). The law of utter annoyance and evilness >:

    Another one

    The Law of the Umbrella:
The one day you don't bring your umbrella, it rains

Agnostic means that you think that it isn't possible to prove if there is a god or there isn't. They believe in the great Maybe xD

    Equality?

Morally, everyone is born equal and should be treated that way. However, that only applies up until the point that you are able to make decisions for yourself and understand the difference between right and wrong.

Is a murderer to be treated as equal as someone who has never commited even a minor crime? I don't think so. This is why I think that the whole human rights thing needs to be completely revamped. In the UK, prisons are so cushy and soft that the prisoners don't want to escape.

As for being physically and mentally equal, we aren't. It is the lottery of genetics and chance. Some are smart and strong, other's are less intelligent and weak. Some are born into rich families with a silver spoon, others live in poverty their whole lives.

Running things on electricity is not the problem, it's the way in which the electricity is generated which is the problem. Again, electricity is not bad fossil fuel power plants are.

As for the people who have lived without technology, it all comes down to perspective. They live good lives because they don't know anything better. For example, there was the celebrity who followed his roots back to a village in Africa and was saying things like "Oh it was terrible how my ancestors were taken away as slaves" etc etc. The local people, faces covered in scars (part of their tradition) said about how he was rich, had medical care, safe water, constant food etc.

Technology exists to make certain things easier, whether it's living our lives or winning wars. It is neutral and on its own can't do any harm. It needs something driving it. Whether it is a human being or an AI construct.

    Religion

I would rather not have that blessing thank you very much. Ever think to ask people's permission before asking for them to be blessed or praying for them? tsk tsk

And it is not doubt. It is pure disbelief. It is taking the evidence which we have and deducting that there is no God, and having the willpower and strength of being to admit it.

I repeat, atheism all the way. (Even though I disagree with the word, atheism sounds too negative and evil [work of the church, which also made femininity evil via paganism so as to make men dominate] )

    Homophobia

Being gay is not a choice. It is never a choice. Some people choose to kill themselves rather than admit to being gay. If it was a choice, why not just choose to be straight and not kill themselves?

To be honest, your entire viewpoint is baseless and not welcome here. Take it somewhere else were people of your "calibere" will pat you on the back and reinforce your completely wrong and sick view.

I am actually so angry right now lol

To think people like you still exist in the world, your parents should be arrested for crimes against humanity for bringing you up like this >_>

That is saying that human beings are not capable of being good without the fear of being punished for doing something wrong. I'd like to think people are better than that lol

A saying I read recently went as follows was "When people say we need religion, what they really mean is we need police" xD

Also, I read in a book (The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins) that morals can come about through evolution. Mostly to do with humans evolving through clan social structures with small groups. This then developed "rules of thumb" which is why (most of us) we are friendly to everyone we meet, as they are all human beings.

I know that not all Americans are like that xD

I also know that it is the majority, which is what I meant. Sorry for any offence caused =]

But yeah, statements like this need to be at the very least backed up by evidence, if they are to be even considered for listening to >_>

    Homophobia

A phobia is an irrational fear, that is one that there is no grounds in which to have it. Vertigo is another, there is no reason to fear heights (it's hitting the ground you need to worry about ; ) )
It being irrational means that it is a "wrong" mindset to have, but it is possible to get out of it. I'm sure that many homophobes would be good people if they managed to work out of their irrational fear.

As for gay/lesbian pride, I think that it is mostly a remnant from days gone by when coming out was taboo and people would be physically assaulted. A bit like with the Civil Rights movement. It was biased one way and then after the marches and parades etc it had swung around to be biased the other way (and now it's almost impossible not to be racist to someone, no matter how hard you try ._. ) Sometimes I think that it does get too extreme, such as the story in Australia where straight people were banned from a gay bar.

However, if there hadn't been the problem in the first place there wouldn't be this problem now *coughreligioncough*

In Christianity, the Old Testament god was an ogre. He was harsh, uncaring and violent. Anyone who disagreed with him was mercilessly slaughtered much to the joy of his followers.

It details many of the draconian laws which are generally ignored by modern Christians as they are just that backward (which in my opinion makes them not Christian, the only true Christians are the literalists >_> Which is basically those who don't hold human life sacred x]). Things like not wearing clothes made of more than one fabric (such as nylon), the death penalty for children who are disrespectful to their parents, burning for prostitutes, death for homosexuals, women being the property of their husbands etc.

In the New Testament, god turns into Jesus basically and goes on to contradict much of what is said in the Old Testament (such as the teaching on the Sabbath).

There is no true description of God as most of the accounts are conflicting. And anyway, I don't think he exists (but I'll probably have read more of the Bible than some people xD )

Technology is a tool, a gun in itself is harmless but once someone is holding it it becomes a weapon. The good old saying goes "Guns don't kill people, people do".

Things like the Atomic bomb were created partly to see if we could and also as an end to WWII (as well as a deterrant for future war [see the M.A.D. principle]).

Technology mainly exists to make our lives easier and better than they would be without it. I'd say it's done the job so far. However, people are always striving just to prove that they can do things, prove they can make the faster computer, the smartest machine, the most powerful weapon etc.

The endless march of progess is never ending, and may well be our demise or our greatest achievement as a race.

That is the third book and it is not God as such. Controversy makes things interesting, it can force you to step back and look at the way you live your life, think and what you believe and maybe reconsider.

I'm all for controversy, it helps us improve our lives and remind us what is right.

A group is defined by the actions of the worst part of it. If you think it is such a bad thing, why do so many of the Christian mainstream think like this? Get it sorted and I might change my mind.

The thought that some Christians require the fear of Hell to make them good sickens me. Admittedly, there are probably very few of these people lol
