I'd be quite interested in finding out how someone could paste before copying. That's like creating something from nothing =/

    Contacts?

About 380, but I don't know who most of them are. Also, many are dead ones no longer used and ones that were typed in wrong to start with.

I only talk to about 20 of them anyway ;D

They are also not trying to prove that the Big Bang happened. They are recreating what they theorise the direct aftermath (i.e. a couple of billionths of a second after) was like. This is because that was when the first particles of matter came into existence.

We are also at a completely minimal risk. You are more likely to be killed by a meteor strike or be struck by lightening twice than a black hole actually forming. And even if it does there is a virtually no chance of anything coming of it (I hesitate to say that it is non-zero simply because the universe is random like that).

THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO RECREATE THE BIG BANG

I remember for certain hearing on the news that both candidates were playing their religion cards to woo all of the religious voters.

Meh, it may end up being a non-issue, but I certainly don't envy American voters. Well, the intelligent and informed ones anyway.

I should mention that the only reason I am chosing Obama is that he is the lesser of the evils. I would also never support a candidate who would in any way bring religion into the White House.

That is somewhere that religion can never go (along with all other governments around the world).

I personally go for Obama. Age does not necessarily equal experience, and experience does not necessarily mean you are good for the job.

I also don't like Conservative parties (in all their guises >.>). Now this is mainly down to prejudice passed down from my father (and Business Studies teacher, and basically anyone else I have talked to who lived during this era xD) who hated Margaret Thatcher with a passion. Destroying a countries economy will do that to you.

On the abortion note, any candidate who is not pro-choice will never get my vote. It is the mothers decision, plain and simple. Her body, her choice. Bringing the child into the world could be crueler than aborting it. The individual circumstances need to be considered (single parent, still at school, how many other kids etc). Also, the world is in the middle of an over-population problem so the last thing we need is over-flowing adoption centres.

I honestly cannot believe the amount of ignorance there is on this topic. If you don't research or read into it you have no right to even comment.

They are not setting out to make black-holes, they are a byproduct of the main experiments. These black holes are microscopic (i.e. cannot be seen) and last for less than a nano-second (we're talking trillionths of seconds here). And anyway, they are so small that they would be so far away from any other matter to actually suck anything in.

Also, they are just testing it now. It was run at a fifth power, then increased. They don't expect to see results for another year to eighteen months.

There are five main experiments taking place. One to learn more about dark matter, one about the direct aftermath of the Big Bang (not to reproduce the actual event itself, I mean come on that's just ******ed), one to find the so-called "God" particle (i.e. the Higgs boson) and evidence of the Higgs field which would explain in a simple way why things have mass, looking for new physics such as extra dimensions and finally investigating as to what happened to the missing anti-matter in our universe (as at the Big Bang matter and anti-matter would have been created in equal amounts).

    READ THIS

I hope that helps clear it up.

It is always the persons fault, because there is always a choice. The companies decide what they want to put in the food and before there was no legal requirement to tell us what exactly was in it and how much. So why would they? Now they do and people can see how much there is (they knew before, just ignored the warnings).

Basically, if you are obese it is most likely to be your fault. You caused it and you have to sort it, don't blame the people doing their job and making a living.

(I do of course know of the people who have genuine medical conditions which cause them to gain weight, and they are not the people I am referring to.)

    FINALLY, some sense =]

Everything Repliku has said is true. The exact same event that will be happening in the LHC has been happening on the border of our atmosphere and space and on the moon since they came into existance.

    We're still here, aren't we?

;D I suppose it doesn't really matter, there wouldn't be enough matter involved to make black holes with enough mass to make them any decent size. Hence the name micro-black holes. Micro being x10^-6 in measurement scales. That means it is measured in like millionths of metres ;D
