You are wrong here. Marriage whether in a church, in your yard, out in an alley etc are not 'official' until you go to the judge and stand before him/her and declare your intention. Marriage was pulled out of the church's hands a long time ago. You are not considered married -at all- if you don't officiate it with the state you are in.

On another note, why are people saying Obama's messages are worse than McCain's who decided to also slander quite a bit with his own messages including one comparing Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? The door swings both ways, people. xD

This is actually round 13. I went through and tabulated all the results of former rounds and found it out so we are set at round 13 which I corrected yesterday. However, yes, we are still in the same round waiting on the few people that remain to do anything and if they don't they are probably dead.

Actually if you read the platform you'd see the plans that could be initiated and I think they make some good sense. Many people keep spreading that there is no design or plan and that's just wrong. McCain and Obama both have steady platforms and it's not hard to see what either wants.

It is time that people actually read for what each candidate actually stands for instead of reading propaganda. I'm for Obama for the following reasons mainly.
    - Keep religion out of schools with prayers etc.
    - Keep science being taught to school children and don't permit in Creationism as a forced science teaching.
    - Gay marriage and gay rights.
    - Women's rights of ProChoice. Whether people want one thing or another, the rights of prochoice outweigh easily the rights of ProLife which is forced.
    - Less lobbyist control.
    - Health care that is better.
    - Job focus in our country and housing assistance.
    - Dealing with our national debt.
    - Having someone who's not a cowboy in office to get us in any more wars of stupidity ahead of time.
    - someone who's also more amiable to people overseas to repair damaged relations.
    - better dealings with illegal immigrants and assistance on helping people who are 'legal' to have an easier time with rules, regulations and costs.

Both are Americans. Both are not bad people. Both aren't the greatest either. It's grown old to hear all the crap spun out about them when it just doesn't matter in the end at all. I'm just amazed so many Americans fall for this media bull but then again, I'm not and it disappoints me. However, the platforms in themselves are what makes a president the choice or not and it gets old for people to say that McCain or Obama don't know what they are doing etc. They -do- know what they represent and are doing. So pick on what you believe in more would be my greatest suggestion. There's so much hype over who to choose but it all does really come down to this.

Guys, let's all remember that this is a debate so let's keep out some diggers and jabs at people's integrity or parents etc, okay? It's a hot debate because obviously the country is very divided on the issue of what things are wanted. Also, people in other countries are affected by this too so they voice opinions. Let's keep it nice and if you feel kind of heated, take a breather and come back. I think we should all respect each other regardless of what candidate is the one someone prefers more. We can point out our opinions on the candidates and what it means to us, but let's not point fingers at others in the room etc.

    V Peace dudes.

You do realize off-shore drilling will not be even useful for 10 years as they have to make special platforms for -each rig- ? It's pointless. Yes, as a 'side note' it could assist but doing it as main thing so we stay stuck to oil is just lame. It's not just environmentalists that don't want offshore drilling to be our 'staple'. Some of us want to be independent of it and McCain, like Bush, is bought out by lobbyists. He will have to do things to their demands.

Obama is not bought out by a bunch of lobbyists. These lobbyists belong to groups that overseas in this war have been -stealing- money from the American people and overcharging in droves and Bush has cleared it. These lobbyists also are only out for their own -interests- and politicians bought out by them, to include McCain, have no choice but to make decisions based on what these people want. Selling out is what makes offshore drilling a better option apparently than sensible research and trying to improve our goverment jobs, make things local, improve our environment, and support smaller business groups as well as corps. Obama did agree that 'some' offshore drilling may assist us, but the point here is that we don't need as much as McCain is being told when we can see great improvements in other areas in 10 years as well. That's a long time when it comes to invention improvements.

Also, no one is saying we will immediately pull out of Iraq. However, being there I will say this. We DO need to encourage the people there to take more care of themselves and stand up with their government. We cannot do all the work for them and baby them for much longer. There -are- other threats out there and assistance we could be offering others too as well as helping ourselves. The problem in Iraq mainly right now is that they need organization and the government has to start actually doing more. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink is the point here in the end. We may need troops there for some time, but not as many as are there now and these soldiers get crappy rotations. If another conflict arises, there -will- be a draft because we aren't getting people to do their own things and think we can do it for them. They need help now, but if they can't do crap on their own more in a couple years, they fail at life.
