The point with Pro Choice is it gives -options-. Pro Choice, despite what Pro Lifers say, is not Pro Death. It implies that a woman has the right to decide what happens to herself as well as a potential baby. It also means educating teens with safer sex practices and means that a woman can get assistance when she does make up her mind what she wants to do. Also, Obama's point is a VERY valid one. If women cannot have the options to get medical treatment and abortions, they will go back to the old days of performing self-abortions which often times kills the woman too, causing her to bleed to death internally and if she lives, she may never be able to have a kid if she caused herself too much damage. It is -not- an easy choice for any woman to just casually say she wants an abortion. There are varying reasons for abortions and those issues will not be fixed by Pro Life that forces people to do things against their wills. Next, how do you make abortion illegal? What constitutes a legitimate reason to have an abortion? Rape? Medical health? What some people deem as rape is not what others do, even in law. There are women that try to prosecute men for rape and yet get told it didn't happen because of 'technicalities' such as 'she was drunk' or she was dressed 'inappropriately'. Are we going to tell every female that wants an abortion that she has to go through a court hearing to do so when the court is sometimes biased and misjudges, letting rapists and molesters go free? Medical health in some cases can be deemed early on to be a reason but there are many times that medical problems actually arise as the woman is carrying a baby in the third trimester too. Womens' health can deteriorate dramatically in the final trimester and neurological, heart problems and other things can arise that were not even known formerly. Most women aren't getting late abortions but sometimes those who do have very good reasons to that could not be known early on. I agree that there is an issue with later abortions done where there is no health malady as in some cases the baby may actually be able to survive with medical aid were it born early. Babies have been born premature by 2 months and been able to survive. If a woman doesn't know by the time she's 4 or 5 months pregnant that she is in fact pregnant, yeah, there's a problem there. But the majority of abortions that happen are done early on. Also, some Pro Life people are against the idea of even using contraceptives -at all-. The day after pill receives scrutiny because the egg may just be fertilized for a few mere hours when she takes the pill. Every woman when she becomes pregnant faces some serious decisions in her life as to recognizing her stability, health, mental health, etc. Some of you make it like women just pop down to the lab and say 'get it out' all casually. In the majority of cases, this is not true. This is why Barrack Obama stands for Pro Choice. You can alter it and refine it but at the same time at least there are still options and sorry to say to people, abortion will still happen regardless of whether people make it legal or not and like so many other things that are made illegal, problems will only get worse if Roe vs Wade is overturned. Pro Choice enables the person to decide on things and sometimes it may even just motivate a woman, because she has more stability to make that choice, to keep the baby. Part of the reason for abortions in the first place is the woman feels she is not stable and no one is helping her and her life is forced, which is a trait of nature and animals will even abort under such circumstances. The world doesn't feel safe to bring a new baby into it. The Pro Lifers have done a great job painting Pro Choice as evil, but it simply isn't.

1. DMC 3 - I just loved this game. It's so epic and was an apology for DMC 2 that doesn't exist in my mind. I'm still waiting to play DMC4. :/ 2. Final Fantasy VI - I <3 this game and not enough people know about it to talk of it often enough. 3. Kingdom Hearts II - I enjoy all of the games so far but this one to me I had more fun with. 4. Resident Evil III - I liked all the RE games really for the plot and just killing zombie fun. 5. Metal Gear Solid 4 - All of the games in the series but because it's most recent it's freshest in my mind. 6. Chrono Trigger - It's a classic that I have played quite a few times. I also liked CC but can only say which one I like more. 7. LoZ - Ocarina of Time - This game was my favorite Zelda game though I do <3 the others. 8. Rockband - There's nothing like jamming to rock music and actually seeing if you do well or not. 9. GTA Vice City - Haven't played the newest one yet but any GTA game is great as the ultimate stress reliever. 10. Star Wars KOTOR II - Both games were great but KOTOR II had more things to do and was a great storyline. This list was so hard to make because there are such other awesome games I couldn't fit in like Call of Duty 4, Mario 3 (yes that old thing), Assassin's Creed, Mortal Kombat 2, FF VII, Soul Caliber, Sonic Pinball, greh... I can think of so many games now and they don't make the list!

I think you should try to talk to her again. Also, you might want to actually go try to do some fun things together that may even be a bit exhilarating. Try doing activities that give you memories and things to talk about with each other. Play games, go wander around at the mall, see movies, go out to different restaurants to try them out, try ethnic unusual foods you two aren't used to etc. Suggest things and also ask her what she'd like to do. If you pick up the activities, you will have more to talk about. And well, if you did ask her out once you start hanging out again, then you'll have even more things to do and chat about. I wish you luck. Listen to your friends on this one. :) Also, that awkward silence...that's when you ask her if she likes you and tell her that you like her. xD
No, I understood you. You are trying to tell Sonic fans that they 'blindly' disrespect Mario and you are making a biased assumption. The only 'fans' that will say anything about Mario being useless from the beginning are just talkers blowing steam, mostly because Mario fanboys won't stop going on about how we all -needed- Mario to get where we are today. And I am telling you that -every- Mario fanboy uses this argument and it needs to stop. What Mario games did is surely noted by any gamer with sense. Does it mean the gamer has to -like- the game and can't call Mario a fat tard? No. There are quite a few games that have made some companies pretty prominent now and the companies took big chances on them. Mario helped but the games are -NOT- the only reason we have the video games of today. Also, on the lines of giving Mario respect. - If I don't like Superman but like Batman because I enjoy the character archtype, abilities, way he thinks, and grimness of story more, am I dissing the comic book society because Superman was first and comics might not have sprung up so well had it not been for the Man of Steel? I could give other examples, but that is a good one. What 'allegiance' are we supposed to give Mario here? He has gotten tons of credit for 1983. If people think his games and spinoffs suck now, they do. It is opinion. Just like if someone says Sonic games suck. Who cares? It's opinion. Play what you want and enjoy. We don't have to have a gamer loyalty to one game hero etc. And in this thread we had the prime example with Hercules misspelling and initiating stuff in a thread that it was uncalled to do, showing a Mario fanboy flag. Then in a 'Sonic' thread it's not expected that people are going to be annoyed? After, you come in challenging the people who defended Sonic and made fun of Mario. Really, you talk about wanting to be understood but you were not at all neutral. This is a matter of opinion. Of course, the last few games to me have sucked major time. I really can't stand Silver and think if they wanted to save the Sonic franchise they'd focus on -Sonic- instead of making more ripoff characters and some of the dumbest new characters ever. I've seen dumber ones in other Nintendo games, which is why I've really begun to feel Nintendo itself has been slipping as a whole in quality. However, this is again -my opinion-. I haven't liked a Mario game for several years now. I am not at all into Kirby or Pokemon. I'm more an RPG and shoot/slash/drive the hell over stuff kind of person so basically only a few games on Nintendo even keep me buying their consoles. Do I realize that that my likes and preferences are my own? Definitely. I'm not going to hold it against those who don't like Sonic, Final Fantasy, KH, LoZ, GTA, DMC, CT, MGS, etc. They can say the games blow chunks. Fanboys need some humility and to just let people be to their opinions while loving what they do. They are no better also because they bring up Mario rules in discussions on other games. It's the same as console fanboys/girls bringing up another console to boast about it when some people are discussing a particular console. It's pointless rabble for attention to shout out loyalties. Hell, the same thing happens with musicians or sports...fanboys are annoying. period. That is the problem with 'any' fanboys/girls. They will go on and on how something could be so much better but the moment someone says something against their games because they dislike them...oh noes., it's on. I agree both hardcore Mario fans and hardcore Sonic fans are irritating in the way you say. Just like any other fanboys/girls. Also though, we do need to give people a little more credit. Some games really -do- suck and the majority of people know it. When the fans can actually say something sucks, it's time to consider things...well when there are actual 'constructive' criticisms anyway. Okay, you aren't a fanboy. xD I'm not either. OOC: Really, I prefer that characters do not change their pasts etc like this and give themselves 'powers' and 'allies' out of the blue. This is the reason I had original characters fill out character sheets. This -friend- thing I am just not seeing it happen and I am going to have to put my foot down though I hate to. You have to stop creating extra things out of the blue and also stop knowing -EVERYTHING-. Jack should not know all about Riku, the Organization, where this portal to TWTNW is, etc. If he did, he would have been destroyed or discovered long ago by people. He is not a better tracker and sneaker than the Org or DiZ or Xehanort's Heartless or Maleficent or Riku or Hades. Please, I am asking you to get the character in grips because there's not much more I can do with the character if he is not toned down. He's powerful in about every way and can do anything and know anything. Characters that are from the games don't know everything. So, I'm seriously asking you to please make the character not a hoss like this. If he can't conform, I've bent as far as I'm going to and the character just will not fit.

You guys keep bringing up the deaf. I have news for you that deaf people know how to cuss just fine. Some can also speak out words and have conversations with people despite the fact they cannot hear. Also, they can still certainly gesture and in ASL (American Sign Language) there are signs for the cuss words too. xD

OOC: Yeah, I hear what you mean and I will be monitoring it. Fortunately, this RP moves slow enough that I will be able to watch posts and people in this group are pretty good so far with sharing moves and all. When the first official combat goes on between the planned enemies, (or if another fight ensues before that for some reason) we'll be able to see how people do. I do want to let people have some leeway and not be too stringent, but some people may also feel more comfortable saying intentions on some fights and letting me decide if it 'hits or not' in some cases. Really, we'll see how it plays out. I just don't want to basically have metagaming going on that will ruin anyone's fun. I almost wish this site had a dice bot that we could roll and higher roll would win the move, but eh, that can't happen, so we need to just put trust in each other and well, if it gets too bad, I will just make it so people claim intents and I flip a coin for who wins or not heh.
