Everyone I have talked to says that they have to change their Ulster Bank and Northern Bank etc notes to English notes before going over. I have heard from others that when they have tried to use Northern Irish notes they have been rejected >:

There is no defined meaning of life. How could there be? Someone thinking that there could be on by all and end all meaning of life for every human being on the planet would be a tad deluded.

I personally believe you are the one who creates meaning in your life. It is what you make it, working with what you have.

What Evilman was saying is that money and resources are not always the motivation. How many serial killers did it for the money? How many school shootings had a financial basis? Mental imbalance or religion are the causes for most killings, not money.

There is a certain MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly, the devolved government of Northern Ireland) Iris Robinson who publicly said that she thought that homosexuality was an abomination that she found disgusting and made her nauseous. She said she fully supported counselling for gay people as she considered it to be a mental condition which is treatable.

She also says "The governments job is to uphold God's Law" which is complete bullshit. Secular government, god has nothing to do with it (none of them do). There were calls for her to resign and a petition sent to Gordon Brown for him to admonish her.

However, as her husband is the First Minister it appears nothing has been done. She is a Born Again Christian and says that the attacks and criticisms against her comments are anti-Christian bias and have hidden agendas. However, her comments were the equivalent of a hate crime and there are several legal cases pending against her.

As you can see, even in countries where it is currently not a capital offense, there are still plenty in government who would like it that way >_> (However, she did say that she "loved the sinner but hated the sinner", which is no excuse). Also, considering homosexuality has only been legal in the UK for 26 years we haven't got very far =/
