Anyway, if these many many similarities in this one part of the Christian faith I don't know what is. All modern religions share common origins and are practically the same thing. Corrupted by time, they are what we see today.
You do realise that the Islamic faith believes much of the Bible to be a corruption of the Koran? Which is right then? I say neither, they are one and the same but time and the location of their evolution just changed them in different ways. The constant similarities are too much to deny it. Also, religion is one big hypocrisy. Not just the fact that the Old and New Testaments are almost incompatible (god being described as a completely different being in both, with the New Testament "overwriting" a lot that was said in the Old, with the Old being passed off as "metaphorical". That's certainly a laugh). Also, lol @ the Catholic Church being persecuted by the government. The Catholic Church and its related organisations get constant grants from governments worldwide, many MPs in the UK are deeply religious and it often interferes with their judgement and yet atheists are called "immoral". And just so you know, I don't just dislike the Catholic Church. I just see it as one of the worst offenders. I personally think that organised religion itself is wrong. Evangelicism is very very wrong and that people should be finding their own way to their own personal higher power, not becoming a close-minded drone blindly believing in whatever their religious leader tells them to.

The point is, it proves all the idiots who think that counselling and electroshock therapy will turn someone straight wrong. It makes them shut up and **** off to be ignorant somewhere else. Also, comparing homosexuality to cancer is a bit harsh, don't you think? As well, homosexuality was only decriminalised in the UK 26 years ago, so you don't have to go that far back. And just because there were a few decent people in the church at the time means nothing, when you hear the venom being spread from all the other churches.

There was also a pastor at a local church who supported her comments wholeheartedly. He fully agreed with her in every way. He said that no homosexual could ever be considered a true christian. There was also a lesbian woman on who was expelled from her church and never allowed to return. She was taken to a meeting with high up people and one of them said that seeing her worship god was an affront to him. Explain to me how these opinions are allowed to exist in religion, when they are such a threat to innocent people who just want to feel love.
