~Sky City; The Horrid Truth~ The Doctor and M reappeared inside the abandoned Jedi Temple. They were sure that nobody was going to find them in there. "M, I need a few explanations." "Those being?" "First, why didn't you wait at the Star Destroyer's crash site? I was looking all over for you. I thought you were dead!" "I told you, Doctor. I couldn't stay there. In case you didn't notice, we just finished up a fight against a planet-destroying toddler." "A what?" "She called herself the "Unbreakable Dark". Turns out that it was some kind of program controlling a little girl's body." "So what did you do?" "I didn't do anything. It was this Dearche girl who stopped her." "I see. What now?" "What you do now is you hold up your end of the bargain. I defeat the Empire, which I did with the help of the others on board the Saint's Cradle*, and you take me back in time to before Mario's death so I can stop it and save the kingdom from the hell that it's in right now." The Doctor sighed. "The thing about that is...I can't." "Excuse me!? And why's that?" "Something's messing with the time stream. I had a hard enough time getting here because everything was fluctuating in the stream." "Then explain to me this: How the hell would you know if there was a problem with the stream if you didn't move through time to get here! You only moved through space!" "That's exactly my point! It's a problem when you see weird fluctuations when moving into the future or the past, but when you see them while you're only moving through space, then there's a huge problem!" M lowered his head and thought. If there was something wrong with the time stream, the Doctor would be the first to know. It also would explain why it took so long for him to get back to M. "Alright. Fine, I believe you. What do we do for now?" The Doctor sighed. "I hoped you wouldn't ask that." A look of sorrow came over the Doctor. "When I was trying to get to you, I accidentally moved into the future a little to far. It wasn't long, less than a week maybe. What I saw...Was horrible." M looked closer at the Doctor, fear in his eyes. "W-What is it, Doctor?" "I shouldn't be telling you this, but I trust you. You just have to promise you won't repeat what I'm about to tell you to anyone. Understood?" M nodded. "What I saw...Was the destruction of Earth. These enormous sentient robots called Reapers were attacking the Earth in fleets. Nobody stood a chance. Luckily you and the rest of those on the Saint's Cradle made it off planet safely. Also the girl we saw earlier escaped." M fell to his knees. He may not have been a resident of Earth, but the destruction of an entire planet always seemed to bring fear to him. "Did...Did you see anything else after that?" The Doctor shook his head. "Take me back to the Saint's Cradle, Doctor. That's my escape route." *M believes the Empire was beaten ~The Saint's Cradle; The Party Continues~ While the Doctor was dropping off M, Sonic had followed Levi out to the Party. Some people were leaving, obviously to finish a mission they had. "Nice party. It's got a stage and everything." Sonic said, walking into the party. Meanwhile, Zero and X were still clueless to the aspect of a party. "Look, I've already explained it! Parties have music, food, and people!" Naruto exclaimed, trying ever so hard to get them to understand. The reploids just looked at him as if he were a maniac. Naruto sighed. "Forget it. I'm gonna get some food-" Naruto's eyes lit up when he caught the sight of Ramen on the other side of the room. He sped over to it, nearly as fast as a certain blue hedgehog, and began gorging himself with it.
