I find it funny people today can be blamed for something supposedly done by the "first people" which was directly caused by god. And the sprinkling of some water obviously makes so much of a difference.
That argument falls down with the 10 week year old at the very least. How on earth could a child of 10 weeks have committed a sin so horrendous that it deserved death? Also, God being omnipotent could have stopped it even if Satan had been involved.

You're mother definitely did not mean it in any hurtful way, and as you have said yourself she probably thought you weren't listening. As for what she said, it is true that having a child with a medical condition (any condition for that matter) is more draining than a child with none. My brother for example has dyspraxia and my parents had to fight tooth and nail to get him a place in the special school that he needed. I myself suffered a seizure when I was about 2 and had to be rushed to hospital. I nearly died apparently =/ Having that happening to your child would be pretty rough for a parent and certainly not something they would want to risk repeating. However, you should not take it as any reflection on yourself. She still loves you, the condition didn't make her love you any less. Heck, it might even have made her love you more. All that what she said means is that she didn't want to risk having to go through the whole thing again, possibly because she didn't think she was strong enough or something =/ Ughh, I suck at this X_X

I have no idea what you are talking about ;D Anyway, why is it that you must be born in the United States of America to become president? Surely once you gain citizenship it becomes the best person for the job, not what country they happened to be born in. What if your parents were both American born and bred but you were born on holiday in Spain? You would never be considered Spanish.
It tends to be that the more extreme the viewpoint the more vocal the members. The main outcry (possibly only outcry lol) came from a group called Christian Voice. I had a look at their site and it made me laugh, cry and rant all at the same time ;D
