I do, considering it is wrong to mess with people's mailboxes and put in flyers etc that do not pay for postage. I have received too many strange letters from evangelical Protestant groups, Mormons, Jehova Witnesses etc that are nice and inform me if I don't do something I'm going to Hell. If I were religious, I would not want to see letters from an Atheist or Agnostic either. Basically, religious beliefs to me are personal choices and if someone can't even put a stamp on something, they obviously are skirting around things and most people toss away letters that are not stamped because sometimes those letters are also treated with nasty surprises inside.
Congrats, Neku on the fiance, house and all! I'm happy things are working out for you and everyone needs time off now and then to do the real life thing. Enjoy yourself!
Basically what Rosey said. You can already say a post was great, bad or if it is an inappropriate post, report it. With how some members act in rating others as it is, there doesn't need to be another method of abuse out there. I'm against this idea as the methods are there already and another just isn't needed.
I'm thinking that most likely Hayner, Olette and Pence were not Nobodies. If they had been Nobodies that were higher ones, because they retained a human form, they would have exhibited at least Darkness abilities which none of them had any real strength and no magic that we could see at all. Yes, Twilight Town, because it borders Darkness, is often times where a Nobody shows up, but there's nothing saying that the whole domain with all of the people residing there were in fact Nobodies. The three, as well as all other people there, seemed to just be normal kids.
The 'bodies' of the Nobodies may work similar to the cloaks the Organization members wear. Ansem the Wise said that the Organization cloaks were to protect them from Darkness because even they could not cope with it entirely and it might harm them. Perhaps the Nobodies' 'bodies' with the zippers work similar to that to keep them safe. What's inside, I would imagine are their souls and what remains after the Heart is taken.
It sounds like you could have a couple things wrong with you by what you say. I ponder if one isn't anxiety or panic attacks. Anxiety attacks can make a person have difficulty to breathe, feel dizzy and have aches. You say there is a lot of stress going on so this may be what is happening and why last year you went to the doctor and nothing was discovered. Also, your symptoms might have gone away when you realized you were going to the doctor so you had positive hope something would change. Of course, if it's not related to that it could be athsma or possibly walking pneumonia, as both might also make a person feel as though they will pass out. I do think whether it is anxiety disorder, athsma or something else, you should go to a doctor because you may need help regardless of what is wrong with you. I hope you get to feeling better and if this feeling of sickness does not go away, you are going to have to be more insistent with your mother that you will have to go to a doctor. She cannot deny you medical treatment. If she does continue to do that and you get desperate, you can go to your school counselor and try talking to him/her or to your nurse at the school. Despite what you said about having to need to meet certain criteria to go, it is bunk. You can go if you feel the need is so great whether they like it or not. If a teacher won't help you, go on a break and say it is urgent. You sometimes just have to push back to get what you need done. They make the rules in order to prevent kids from abusing the system and getting out of class. Your situation is different.
What kind of pills are they? I have a book here on prescription drugs and could probably give you more information on what the drugs are. If a doctor prescribed them though, it does make me wonder. The problem I see with this is some eating disorders are caused by -stress- and her treatment of him is certainly not assisting him to getting a good eating pattern down. Positive encouragement would certainly work better and also changing up his diet some and taking him with her to the store to get foods that he can pick out would help. If he has problems, letting him be a part of the solution would be a far better approach. That way he gets foods he likes, he will be motivated to helping curb his appetite, and he won't be stressed so he won't eat as much. Eating can be not just for sustenance but a nervous tick someone has too, like how someone might bite nails or chew on hair, etc. In the end, if she truly wants to help him lose weight and he wants to lose weight too and feel better about himself, she needs better judgment in this as far as her whole actions are going. I'm sure if he's rolly polly he's not very happy about it either, but her cut downs etc are making it worse and making him wonder why he's bothering to try if he can never live up to his sibling that she mentions favorably. Usually doctors won't hand out pills for dieting so candidly to even adults so I am curious how she is getting them and what they are in the first place. If I were you at this point, I would talk to him and ask him how he does feel about his weight, and does he want to change things about himself. Tell him to not give up on himself and that her hurtful nagging is just the way the woman is right now and that he must not take it to heart if he can help it. Some people do just gripe a lot and nag and they really don't see how counterproductive they are being. I hope he will be alright and keep hanging in there because she seems too worried about physical appearance and such more than she does his health or mental well being.
Toshi was angry and he's not actually telling people to go out and shoot the man. After all, the guy is now on trial etc. It is just an infuriating thing to see happen. Really, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy was just another sports person that is jacked up on steroids and acted irrational because of jealousy and steroids make people more volatile. He wouldn't be the first person to use them in baseball.
The Bail Out Plan is not just coming up with 700 billion dollars that would be circulated out of thin air, as far as I know. I believe it works more like this: - 700 billion dollars is an estimate between 500 billion and 1 trillion dollars. The government plans on basically buying out the mortgages on all troubled loans given and then selling them to establishments. - The 700 billion is basically coming out of a loan itself which -we- the people will pay so that these mortgages move and our system does not collapse. If our system collapses because Wall Street and the banks go belly up, we are in serious doodoo. - Corporations that are the biggest part of this mess, which isn't the banks themselves but the loan corps Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are getting 25 billion, or 100 billion each...the news is not clear on this from three sites, to cover their losses. Fannie Mae also covers student loans which many people took out loans on their mortgages to pay for student loans on their children etc. - The failed loans are affecting us and others on a global scale. Europe and others suffer along with us because of similar problems they have and also money isn't circulating properly as it should. There's a lot to lose globally and we have to monitor that market as well. Hope that clarifies it a bit more. Is it a -bad- thing? Yes, but it would be worse if we did not come to an agreement and fix these problems. If we do nothing, our banks will go down the crapper and we will have lost a ton of investments, our next president will probably shoot himself in the head and we will be in a Great Depression. Our money will be worthless but to the wealthy who will also receive a sturdy kick in the groin as the dollar drops yet more in value and there just may be no middle class after a while if we don't fix this. The reason why this happened? Banks and especially places like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae screwed a lot of people. They made arrangements in loans that after a period of years, mostly 10 years, interest rates on the loans would increase. They also were doing some of these deals with citizens that were not from this area originally and could not speak English well so they were bamboozled. Others took out loans and were also screwed and some parents who have college kids wanted to help them get through it and the interest jumped on them ridiculously too. Also, some people were given loans that could not hope to pay them back because our job market sucks and they lost work when corps moved overseas or shut down due to poor economy and people not buying into their businesses. There are some people that can be outright blamed for approving loans that should not have been or those who tried to get loans without the intentions of follow-thru, but mainly the problem seems to be that these businesses decided to add on ridiculous interest rates which screwed so many people, or the future of the loans became unlikely due to our unstable work issues. So, yes, it sucks we will have to pay for the mistakes of some people and also because of our unstable work situation. It sucks, but the alternative is much worse and we will still see a decline in things but not as bad as if we do nothing and let it all fall apart. I think negotiations still need worked on and Freddie Mac and Sally Mae should suffer more since other private corps could arise with better ethics to take their place, but at the same time if we have to pay for it, you know, maybe we the people will stand up and demand that these corporations and banks must follow a better line of judgment and abolish these interest rates that are ridiculous. People are now forced to leave their homes because they can't cover the costs. It's ugly all around. As much as I hate to cover the corporations' asses for being stupid, or pay for execs, which I think should be investigated as well and lowered and is an issue in negotiations now, we do need to see that the Bail Out Plan, when revised, is possibly our only route to take at this juncture.
Because there are are countries that are non-secular and believe in religion and government operating hand in hand, we see this issue. People are raised to believe homosexuality is a dire sin against God. We have people in our own countries in Europe and North America that believe this is true as well, but fortunately we try to keep them out of our governments as much as we can. When people are raised with ideologies that something is wretched, the people who follow in that mold are going to suffer, sometimes in the worst ways imaginable. We can be thankful that in our countries we have studied homosexuality more to come to understand it better than just as being a 'sin' against nature and God. What people there won't see is that it is not a sin against nature at all as there are many animals that have shown homosexual tendencies and some even take in youth that are abandoned and raise them up just fine in pairs. We can understand this because we have a more open society that does actually get people out there to study and examine life as it runs its course. They will not. So, yes, while I frown upon the notion entirely that gays are prosecuted, paying fines, spending lifetimes in prison or even dying, there's not much that can be done about it until these people realize what they are doing is wrong and hideous and a crime against nature, whether their God disdains homosexuals or not. If I had the way, I would certainly do more such as trying to buy the freedoms of gays in these countries and move them to more free-thinking areas to give them citizenship etc so they could have better more fair lives. We still all have our issues but any homosexual from one of these other countries would certainly say it's wonderful in comparison. Treatments of homosexuals are not all that is wrong in Africa and some middle eastern places. There are also women who have horrible procedures done to them which are very cruel, some at birth. Girls in some areas with no choice have their clitorises removed to make sexual tendencies prior to marriage not likely to happen. Also, some girls have worse done to them which absolutely prevents them from having sex until surgically the practice is removed. Basically this is all done to prevent girls from not being virgins and they belong to one man when they are married off. However, again, until these people can be made to see that tradition and religion is wrong here, they will stand by it and consider outsiders as ignorant. Cultural local ethics go on anywhere and we can be thankful ours are more free in regards to women and homosexuals. We still have our own fights of recognizing equality when it comes to rights but it's good to realize there are other places that are not the same. Some have been doing these practices for hundreds if not thousands of years. Opinions won't change over night but we also have to regard their rights too.
I would say the media is controlled half the time and the other half, they are just putting out razzle dazzle that they think people want to see. There has been proof throughout the years that the media will show it's support for right or left wing agendas clearly. Also, occasionally the Bush administration and former ones have used the media to relay information to us without labeling it as a source coming from the White House, so it sounds like the media did the work of gathering info. This is actually illegal to do as the media is not 'government' owned. Fox News was used by President Bush to relay media that was written up by the White House but never was announced such. Also, because Obama was in Muslim garb in Kenya as a child, and Hillary's website posted a picture of him, Fox and others bent it way out of proportion. One of the anchors called his little fist bump with his wife a 'terrorist fist jab' and still, we can see on the media that there are old people that believe he is a terrorist. This was clearly slander and he's not even Muslim. Imagine if he were. This is pointless racism. In the U.S., many of us are not considered to be -smart-. On the news, how often do we see the kooky religious zealots saying lame things about others such as God will kill our soldiers or gays need to die? When something traumatic happens, we are stuck watching the people outside of the tragedy wailing and praying and waiting to find out whether things go successful or not etc while missing on what is actually going on, simply because the media can't 'film' it so it's boring. We get people saying things like 'who's not wearing a pin on his lapel' as being more important than the actual news on the platforms of the two candidates and their VPs. We have tons of media to cover every aspect of our glittery popular icons and they get harassed by tons of paparazzi because people seem to think they live such extraordinary lives. Our news we get mainly comes to us because many people in this country are viewed as stupid and they will believe whatever. They must be hand fed news and seem to only care about the stars, funny jabs at people, who's having an affair, who cheated on who, religious issues, and what to buy for fashion. I could go on and on here. In the end, if we demanded better news by not watching the crap that is put on those news stations and find better ones or go on the internet and research ourselves, we can change the way the media operates. It is ironic that the CNN website actually has a lot of news on it as does the BBC site, which are not said on the actual station much and is info from around the world. Reuters is also very good with this. If you want news, both good and bad, you have to unfortunately dig around for it and also not just stick with news in your own country. That way you receive angles on it you won't get otherwise. Meanwhile, sad to say, our dumb citizens here will just keep getting more so because they sit at home and do nothing anyway but watch TV.
That would be wrong too though. Yes, we get mail from religious groups constantly here and it is quite annoying that they don't have to pay postage etc and can just pop something in your box whenever. Others who aren't religious doing so also is wrong to do in my opinion. In the end, I have no qualms with people believing in religions, so long as it doesn't deter children from having the right to grow up and believe in what they want and also that child is not harmed by parental opinions such as gays are bad, children who don't follow their religion are disowned or abused etc. There are way too many children abused by religious fanatics all of the time for people to go and say that religion isn't scarring. I know. I'm one of the kids that had to get over a lot because I didn't follow along the straight path given to me and decided to question things instead. Exploring mythos and Buddhism labeled me a Satanist since I was 13 because zealots do not understand that other religions outside Christianity are not made by the devil. I'm up for letting people believe in whatever but also think that those who want such things as the 10 Commandments in schools and courts or any governmental facility should be told simply 'no'. Any alterations to the school curriculum that includes Creationist philosophy that is not in a World Religions Class to teach students about religions of the world should also be told flat out 'no'. Most of the people who have 'problems' with other religions etc happen to be the very religious people themselves. I don't feel it is right in any way to acknowledge one religion when it comes to public education or government decisions. Our country was not made to do so in the first place and public schools came into existence to move away from religious schools and their control. In the end what all people must come to understand for peace in this regard is that religion is a -personal- belief. This means other people shouldn't have it tossed down their throats. If people want to explore religions, they should have the rights to do so and go to the places of worship, prayer or meditation and not be mistreated or judged for it poorly. If people don't want to believe in a religion, that too should be their choice. Things have gotten better but too many religious groups feel that because in the past religions were parts of governments that today they should still seek that power and be competitive. Many other people, whether religious or not, just want to have the rights to feel what they wish and most do not harm others with their decisions. If we can just get the fanatic groups to cut their crap, things would be better but we still have a long way to go.
Sorry to hear of your cousin. You have my condolences. I'm doing alright. Just busy as usual.
I vote the Pee-pee dance. Anyone can do that.
Yeah, I'm Repliku. Sup?
lol @ the latest accusations. Caramelldansen. xD
A rainbow of flavor aimed for the shoulder. Now we have to wonder if her shoulder has a pot of gold there.
Happy B-day Spike! Hope you get some great presents and lots of cake!
It's really better to not ask about any member... who doesn't like the person. Some people will be sarcastic and joking but others will come out to just be insulting. In the end, it's just not a good idea to put someone in the spotlight like that, regardless of who it is.
I won't know till I see the game whether it's good or not. Reviews have been mixed about it so I'm sure it will at least be entertaining to KH fans and those of us who at least just want filler info on the story, even if it's not 'epic'. I don't expect it to be totally awesome but I also am not going to assume by reviews that it will outright suck either.
