Yeah, you are xD It didn't get that far off track. I think the main problem was that I used the word "socially" meaning the laws of society. But people interpreted as socially as in trusting or liking the people.

Exactly. It's a choice. It may not be a very good choice health wise (yours and those around you) but a choice nonetheless. I have smoked before, but only while drunk ;D It didn't appeal to me so I don't smoke. But life is life, you could die tomorrow through no fault of your own (or anyone else for that matter xD), so if someone wants to smoke fine. Just not near me if they can help it.

Trust between individuals is not what I was implying, I was talking about in terms of the law. Just because I'm atheist doesn't mean I would necessarily distrust the Pope =P But the current Pope requires a lot to be desired.

I like the idea of having them all in the one place, but surely we will reach the slippery slope where every major topic of discussion will need a sub-section?
As I said before, this applies mostly to criminal activity. I would like to think that I (and any other law abiding citizen) would be held "socially higher" than a convicted criminal. I do realise that this idea requires A LOT of fine tuning xD Was just a passing thought from watching how well criminals are treated in jail etc.
