One big contradiction after another. God created us as well as sin, so he is punishing us for doing something that he is letting us do. I smell entrapment. The other things that go wrong as you said are our fault. We admit that, but then it turns out that god is letting the crap hit the fan just to get us to come running back to him. Sounds like a right ******* to me.
This was basically started when I learned that the reason criminals are being given lighter sentences than they should be getting (many of them not even receiving a prison sentence) was because our prisons are full. The reason more prisons were not built is because it costs too much money per prisoner to keep them. I thought, right that makes sense. Then I heard why prisons cost so much. They have gyms, some even have swimming pools. They are often treated better in jail than they are outside. This can't be right. Really what I am referring to is their rights and treatment while in jail. As you have already mentioned, there are already many consequences for their actions. I just remembered, another case was a "yob" who was chased by police after shoplifting (I think it was shoplifting >_>) until he got on to the roof of a house. Because of "human rights" the police couldn't do anything but sit around and wait for him to come down. He was throwing bricks from the chimney stack at them (causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage), they had a helicopter watching him (costing thousands of pounds) and he even had the cheek to demand that they buy him food and cigarettes (which they did, otherwise they might be "abusing" him). Surely this is taking the piss.

A major reason for prostitution being viewed as "immoral" is because Christianity preaches that sex is special and should be treated so. When, at the very basic level, it is for procreation. Humans have taken a stage further and gained enjoyment from it. At the extreme basic level it is a method for our genes to pass themselves on (as we are their survival machines for them to survive and pass themselves on down the generations). With contraception (which, contrary to seemingly popular belief, is extremely effective but with most things man-made prone to failure. If you want the statistics I would be happy to provide them.) the chance of procreation taking place is slim-to-none and STDs can easily be prevented from spreading. Apart from the disagreement of religion based "morals" (which, as figure of destiny has said, are rather subjective and arbitrary), what else is there? EDIT: @Evilman: According to wikipedia it takes anywhere from 12 to 22 days depending on the type of test and which form of HIV is being tested for. There are other oral tests which take 15 minutes.
