It sucked. xD But at least there's chicken.
I -am- the other answer. And actually, Axel had Nobodies messing with the system so there were glitches. The theft of the word 'photo' as well as when you go around and do the 'wonders' report were all glitches caused by Nobodies infiltrating the system. It's also why Ansem wouldn't let Roxas go to the beach. He was having to fight the Nobodies as it was. So you are right. >.>
I actually thought it was pretty good. He has a strong solid voice and it is normal when playing a song acoustic that it sounds more emotional. He did a great job.
PS2 was the best one to me with the most games I enjoyed and also it served well as a DVD player. I like the PS3 a lot too and feel it has the same potential. PS2 was slow to climb but once it took hold it was unstoppable and still sells well.
Closing as this is a duplicate thread. The trailer has already been posted.
mmmm, Altoids. Now I want to go out and get some.
But I want to be heard.
Moulin Rouge and Pan's Labyrinth were both sniffly movies at the end. Since guys aren't aloud, :p ~~
Everyone makes judgments about people. Some people are just more flexible about it and allow a judgment to change and expand over time of knowing someone. Others will forever keep judging a person off a first impression and there's nothing short of a miracle or some major event happening that will change their minds. I am pretty analytical by nature and study things, noticing stuff relatively quickly so that barely anyone realizes I was actually paying something any mind. I've also been extremely perceptive and it pays off in the fields of interest I have, which mainly has been archeology, sciences and forensics, legal stuff and some police work. One thing I do try to do, so I'm not 'closed minded' is that I try to understand that people are not always in the same disposition each time you see them. People have so many layers to them unless they truly do try to be very stereotypical. People do say things about me often that my looks don't match my 'nerdiness' because I'm a thinker. I also work out, kind of wear a lot of black and have red stripes in my hair and piercings. I kind of fit more the goth punk sort of thing, and I'm half Apache so that is weirder yet. I make it a life goal or something to defy stereotypes. It also makes me study others more and know them more for who they are so I don't cut anyone short because oddly enough there are others out there like me who just want to be themselves. I would have to say that probably the people that want to be themselves and go to a beat off their own drums are also the ones that others always think are weird, but they tend to be the most perceptive. I wouldn't consider it to be 'not normal' though because a lot of times people don't know who analytically thinks and studies things because they won't often say for fear of being considered nerdy etc. :/
I think if anyone other than Axel would have gone, unless it was Demyx, would have just been curt with things and deemed he was not the same at the first encounter. Xaldin or Saix especially would have just deemed him over with and tried to destroy him. I do think that it could have turned out pretty dire in the end because Riku and Saix faced in the novel and Riku was clearly the stronger one. It may have eliminated Saix or Xaldin from the game a lot sooner. Axel was so sent on purpose though because of his bizarre friendship with Roxas. It was intended to test out Axel too, who had not been so forthcoming with information from Castle Oblivion and he was the only survivor of the Org to return. His loyalty was quite questionable. Also, Xaldin, Saix and Xigbar were absolutely needed elsewhere for Xemnas's plans to work, so going after Roxas was given to Axel since he might have the luckiest chance of reaching through to Roxas and he wasn't going to be trusted with other missions. I agree Demyx would have been hilarious. Especially just to hear that line.
OOC: You can have Vexen if you'd like. Just take over him from where I left him at. That's all fine. Larxene will be transported to the Betwixt and Between, basically waiting for those darn heroes and she can help them open their portal as they attempt to get there when she notices it. She'll get a little scene probably too to herself. I'll post later tonight since I'm busy. Pyro, if you want, you can take Axel since I know he's your fave. As for the others, most people now are in the mansion basement. If you aren't, you can go through the portal that DiZ made to get there.
That is the point right there. If you are not honest with others, that is why you are judged as you are. If you display something you do not feel, you are being intentionally misleading and so the labels that people assign you...you give them validation to do so. If you want people to understand you more, show them who you really are. If you do not, you are intentionally being deceptive and so you will always be misunderstood. In the end it's up to you. People will sometimes still mislabel you if your demeanor matches your inner feelings, but at the same time, they may always misjudge you if you keep playing, what they will take as mind games, with them. I hope that makes sense. You can't expect others to understand you if you aren't giving them the truth. We can all get annoyed when people misread us but if we intentionally conceal ourselves from others, it's our own fault.
I really have not liked the word 'evil' for years because I think it's just a labeling word that people can't even agree on. What is an evil act? Killing, maiming, rape, kicking a puppy, lying, stealing bread so your kid doesn't die, rick rolling someone who says they'll commit suicide if they hear it again, cutting down a tree, saying some crass words, etc??? People label all sorts of things as evil and others will just say that some of those things are nonsense. Moving on though, it's hard to think of in real life people that had no 'redeeming' qualities at all. As awful as some people were historically, were they bad people all the time or did they just perform a ton of rotten bad acts? I tend to think along the lines of this when studying anyone to include serial killers and some of our most notorious leaders of the past. All people do bad acts. What is a bad act? Something that harms someone else (which I do count animals in that too) and the point of doing so is not for a better cause for the person. I.e. a shot to protect against influenza is not a bad thing even if the shot hurts. A shot of some neurotoxin? Yeah, that's bad. Intention matters, though some people have proven that their intentions are not followed through with actual study as to what something would do to someone. So sometimes we can hit ourselves as our intentions don't go accordingly too and the act turns out to be bad. Basically, if it is destructive, the act was bad, or as some say..evil. We also do good acts. As much as we may hate some historic figures, whether serial killers or notorious men like Hitler, Genghis Kan, Stalin, Ramses III, Herod, etc, for all of the horrible acts they had done, is it bad to also realize that they did some good acts too? Some people think so, and though I'd never support those mentioned and would definitely stop them if I had the power, some acts they had done did help some others. Most people will call these guys as total evil. I consider that they were men who did tremendously rotten acts to push their own agendas forward and had to be stopped. They were people that would not change some things and thus were destructive in way too high of a scale to allow their reigns to continue. There are some serial killers that have some very violent and tragic pasts themselves, and though they did awful deeds, I think it is fair to say that they should be examined and understood as not just deplorable sorts. Instead, trying to understand what made them so bad seems more important to me. I definitely believe they should be stopped but can't really call them 'evil' as much as 'twisted'. In movies, even, it seems to me that it is difficult to find true villains that at one time did not have some history that led them to be the awful people they became. At one time they seemed like you or me, just with some bent up past that turns them into what they become. Some even get convinced to turn back to having humanity again. They have stories, even in horror films such as is the case with Pumpkinhead, Pinhead, Jason Vorhees, Michael, Damien etc. Kefka even has a story. Of course, what makes Kefka so bad is that he's 'nonredeemable', implying that his humanity is pretty well gone. Kefka, Jason Vorhees, Cthuluu, aliens that want to destroy our world, etc. There's no communicating with them and it's apparent they will just continue to go on killing and destroying for whatever reasons they have. Some have appointed duties they feel they want to accomplish. Others just like to go on a kill spree and destroy out of joy or revenge. So, in the end, while I am reluctant to use the word 'evil' as it is a religious word for that which is an act against deities, I do see some people as having lost their humanity or they never had it in some situations such as is the case with Cthuluu. They can have missions they feel are honorable, same as in real life, but no, I don't usually consider someone who is super destructive as having 'honor' except for the occasional desire to challenge foes to see what they have and they'd accept a loss should it come. Usually though, most destructive beings aren't like this unless 'honor' is instilled in them and they believe in some sort of code still, despite their actions in other ways. This is usually a thing in stories though so that the hero takes on the villain in some two person style mortal kombat so that the hero wins and they met the super challenge. In real life, this usually doesn't happen. We can say Hitler had a code he believed in, but was he willing to confront people 'honorably' over it and die by the hands of someone else? Nope. He committed suicide so that no lesser being would have the 'honor' of taking him out. Honor also is in the eye of the beholder, and as we can see here by using Hitler as an example, as well as serial killers who play games with cops waiting to be caught, they can believe what they want and call it 'honor' but is it really? Honor is a thing about personal ego, and they have plenty of ego to do what they are doing. Honor just isn't a safe thing to apply to someone who is doing vicious acts because honor is another one of those things that people can decide on and have different views.
:( Don't take offense to it, please. I have serious reasons in my life why no Christian can ever think of an answer that will ever make sense and I've given them all the chances in the world to try. I've given preachers and churches the chances and no answers ever can be explained as to how a caring and compassionate god can also be so selfish, punishing and let such horrible things happen to people. You are very smart and what you said works for some people but even though I've been open-minded about it, I don't find the responses Christians give as 'logical' to explaining why. The only thing that makes sense is that if there is a God, he doesn't involve himself at all in the life of mundanes. It's an opinion, and I respect your view, so don't take my comment so badly.
I do see what you are saying here, though I think in some ways you aren't being honest with yourself when you smile at things, as you say, that do not make you happy. I remember when I was 13 and I went to my grandfather's funeral. I loved him very much and he was one of the most influential people to me and still is. However, I did not cry at his funeral and instead was supporting others and rather neutral, feeling that when I saw him there, he was the most peaceful I had ever seen him. He was out of pain and I felt that his spirit had moved on. Funerals to me have always been about the living people mourning and bidding farewell to the loved one. The dead, I've felt, simply probably don't care and if they do, I would let them know I missed them but not in the way I have seen others do it. I was taken by some as being very cold there because they were all in tears while I was calm and composed. I didn't -feel- cold though. I just felt at peace, weirdly enough, and that things would be okay. Hard to explain really. These things happen where people can feel some others don't display emotions normally and so it means something is wrong with them. I've made it a practice though to actually show what I feel and try to not overreact, because overreacting gets me nothing. Underacting gets me to be seen as cruel or distant. So, the best thing I could suggest to you is to actually be honest with -yourself- in what you feel. If you aren't happy, don't smile. Instead, try to wear a more appropriate expression to what you actually feel. At least give a neutral expression. This is for yourself as much as it is for others because yes, if you are laughing at things that would normally hurt you, or if you are smiling at things that actually don't make you at all pleased, you are deceiving yourself. As for smiling when you hurt someone, well, sometimes we do that. It is kind of sadistic to take pleasure from someone else's pain. But people do it and if it amuses you, you'd smile. If you feel bad about it, you shouldn't. In the end, I'd just say to be honest with yourself and check your own emotions and give expressions that actually match them. Then you aren't catering to what others want to see, but you are becoming more connected to yourself and you truly then give them what they see. As it is, you say why should you change if people won't give you the benefit of the doubt...I can say you should because you aren't giving them the truth anyway at the moment if you smile and aren't happy. Hope that makes sense.
Pika, that post was very thoughtful and I feel much as you do. There just are no answers that can be given that change the facts and inquiries stated. Well said.
This thread is in the wrong section. I will move it to the general games section.
I'd say that you should try to talk with her and find out her interests. Get to know her more and share things about yourself. Try to get more comfortable around her. Then, just ask the girl out. Shyness is something anyone with a conscience feels when doing something because we wonder how that other person is going to react. Sometimes the answer 'no' isn't even as intimidating to us as the thought of what the person might think of us afterward. It's normal, but if you let this emotion dominate you, you are going to miss out on things more than you would if you let it subside. You've liked this girl now for a year at least and last year someone told you that she could reciprocate those feelings. I wouldn't waste much more time on not asking her out because if you do, she's probably going to move on and you will have missed your chance of knowing if you could have gone out with her or not. Go for it. The worst that can happen is she says no and to me that's better than never knowing at all what could have been.
You may, as DW said, want to contact the cops if you feel your life is in danger and teachers aren't doing anything. You said there is possibly one teacher who may listen to you so try him/her. Even if you do get made fun of at a different school, if I were getting death threats at one, I'd ponder switching school or coming up with plans to deal with the bullies to make them back off. Maybe you should also consider some sort of martial arts class that might help you build up some self confidence. Just don't take something like Tai Kwon Do, which often teaches kids how to become annoying, rather than actually decent at something. Maybe find an Aikido class if you can. How many kids are exactly involved in this? I don't see where you've really answered that. I'd keep trying to make and maintain friendships you do have and continue to try to maneuver around these bullies but seriously, talk to your parents to at least come up with some sort of plan and that teacher. Don't leave your parents in the dark.
I don't know how to say this really but you seem to have an odd way of looking at someone who is actually a 'nice' guy and not an abusive one like Ashton. Just because a guy is nice doesn't mean he has no backbone and all but why would you want to walk all over someone anyway, because that's exactly what Ashton is doing to you and you hate it? If you feel you'd just walk all over someone who is nice, you are rather aggressive yourself and need to check yourself. You aren't in the right mind frame to go out with someone if that's your major concern on why you wouldn't want to go out with a guy. Many girls would love to go out with someone like Nate because he -is- nice and athletic to boot. As for Ashton, he seems to be chauvinistic and stuck on himself. He's going to mistreat you and sadly, that can be a cultural thing. Quite a few Puerto Rican males are very egocentric and women are not treated so well by some of them. That's not to say all Puerto Rican males are that way, but it's a trend I have noticed. So you have your choice between a guy that is nice and athletic that you fear you will walk all over because you feel he's spineless or you can keep the chauvinistic, dominating guy who talks about you with insults in front of your face and behind your back, lowering your self-esteem. It's your choice or you could just break up with Ashton and take some time to get your head straight because it seems to me that you aren't sure what you want and you may just be hurting yourself here. I hope things get better for you but seriously, I wouldn't stay with a guy just because you think his ethnicity is sexy. He seems like perfect trash to me that will only bring you pain in the end.
