I'd say that you have the reason behind the nightmares since well, dreaming comes from the sub-conscience and is a way of dealing with things that have gone on about you. You say that you lost a friend, he turned out to be a jerk to you. Though you are doing things with other friends, you fear that the same thing might happen again. In life, sadly, friends move on or go through changes, just as you do. The thing to do is to realize that you should enjoy your time with people around you and build up some great memories. There just comes a time when we must let people move on or we must do that so if you make the time special you have with the people around you and hold that as important, you perhaps won't cling to the fear that someday everyone will leave you or treat you poorly. Those who do treat you poorly...well it's just going to happen and it's best to not compare that person to others around you. I hope you can find peace with your situation as at times we all get kind of screwed over by that wayward friend we put some trust in. Other friends won't do the same thing to you. Don't lose your trust in others because of one or two people out there who did not value your friendship. Some people are just either rotten or they've changed and aren't into the same things you are anymore. Good luck and hopefully the nightmares stop and you can work out some of this stuff in the waking world.
Depression can hit anyone and we all at times just feel like crap, lethargic, and don't want to be a part of life because we feel outside the norm. This is a time though when you need to start thinking of a few things. If you feel so lethargic, one reason is what you mentioned. You need to ensure you get better sleep. Not getting enough sleep or getting too much sleep can lead to depression. Your body needs at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep a day to function normally and not become exhausted. Another thing is that now it is winter and the clouds are thicker and the days are shorter. The sky may often be gray and well, it does affect your mood. You may want to work on some of the lighting in your room and around you and try to put up some stuff with colors around that make you feel happier. Maybe hang up some new posters or something like that and add a light to your room for more illumination in the day and night time hours that you are awake. When trying to sleep, try to not have too many lights on in your room so you are not distracted. Try playing some soft music that is relaxing for sleep time if you feel you need to. Also, don't eat right before trying to sleep. Another reason you may be feeling depressed is the fact you aren't doing enough for your day. You are moping around and aren't being social etc. You may want to try getting yourself involved in some physical activity such as a sport or going to a gym, or doing some extra curricular thing. Exercise is very important and it helps get your blood moving and also energizes you. Also, doing the activity will get you out there and being social so that you aren't stuck alone. Exercise also helps to wear you out so that at the end of the day you have a desire to rest and it helps keep you strong and will make you more resistant to the crappy weather. As for being social and dealing with friends you may feel that talk bad about you etc... you realize you are depressed so it's quite possible because you feel so negative now, that nothing is really happening. Perhaps you worry too much what your friends think about you and so you are kind of jaded and bummed out. Try to not think so much on that as if you are a decent person you will be liked. You may want to try to get out there and do some things with them and well, try again to get yourself moving more. Your friends may notice your being down and not know what to do about it which can cause you problems too. If you seriously doubt your friends, perhaps it's time to get out and meet some other people, but it all could be in your head too because you're in a negative frame of mind. Just keep in mind that you need to care about -yourself- and take care of you. If you don't like yourself, it makes it easier to think others don't too and you set yourself up for failure because you just don't know. You may then do things that are really countering what you'd like, which is for your friends to actually like you and think you are cool. They may be just fine, so don't go being your own worst enemy, ok? I hope this helped at all and that your depression slips to the wayside. The big thing here I think you need to do is work on lighting, how your room is, getting proper exercise and sleep. I'm sure if you do these things, you might feel more energetic during the waking times and positive, and at bed time you'll actually rest. Maybe toss in some hobby or something but raising your activities and the light issue may be best in your situation. Anyone gets down if they don't do these sorts of things.
Xe54, please stop making posts about 'necrobumping' here as in the end it's just spam. In the Discussion area, other than the Current News section, people are able to necrobump, which can be seen in the rules here, with no worries as long as there is a solid response and reason to do so. In the Spam Zone and a few other areas, necrobumping is frowned upon but in the Discussion area, it's not a bad thing to revive an old debate, issue etc.
Ah, those good ol songs that just get you moving and singing for some reason yet they don't mean much. Those songs are evil! But fun.
I would have to say no to this idea. I'll explain why. Theories are not property. Some people assume that no one else could possibly think of a theory that matches or is close to another theory that exists in some people's minds. If I think of say Roxas = a part of Ven because Ven's heart was somehow tampered with... and I post it first, does that make it that it is -my- theory alone? No, because I am sure that others could think with the evidence in the games the very same thing. Heck, they may even come in and elaborate more on it and get less credit because they didn't post their ideas first. In the end, we have to accept that coming up with great theories just means you are a good detective, cognitive, and can come to solid conclusions with what evidence you have to support the theory. If someone writes their theory in another place on the board and someone else posts a similar theory in the KH section, it does not necessarily mean someone went and stole it. Consider this because someone may have played the games, found a thread on another forum, searched the KH books and found something etc. Also, if someone did 'copy' the theory before you could post it, consider that the person perhaps likes the theory and you decided to instead post it somewhere that could not be replied to but by a select group of people. So even if it is 'stolen' it's not really your property on a public forums. There's no reason to really be mad if someone posts a theory in the KH section before you do. If it is that troubling, go ahead and post your theories up. No one though should be given special credit for it as quite a few people who also enhance theories or disprove them get no real credit either. Fan fics, poetry, artwork etc. These can have what we can term of as a protected copyright here because they are works of art in some manner. There is no way to properly give credit for theories however as there's no way to ever ensure 1 person alone came up with that theory on his/her own, even if he/she is the first to post a thread. Therefore, it just isn't right that a person gets more credit for it for doing such a thing. Consider theories as a concept and thought out thing and not something 'owned' and it will help you more.
Suddenly, life's not quite what it used to be... Body parts keep falling off of me. Oh I believe I've got leprosy.
Some Christians are out on a martyrdom still. They have the dominant religion in the world other than Islam and yet both religions have this way of making their paths seem more difficult and sadder than any others out there. It has never made sense to me. I would not care really and treat the friend as I do any other friend. I have quite a few friends that are followers of Christianity. As long as they don't try to convert me, we remain friends.
I would consider that mind reading should be only used in the most dire of circumstances such as with interrogations to reduce torture methods when say a person will not break and some information is vital. Also, if someone were to agree to mind reading for criminal activities, for court purposes, I don't see why it couldn't be admissible in court. Otherwise, I do not think it should be used on a person unless that person would be willing and say it was for some kind of entertainment purpose later on. If a person is against it, it would be wrong to do on any account but for the most dire of circumstances such as people's lives are at stake, because if it is forced, it's like being mind raped. People's personal thoughts should be considered their own private property basically.
