I don't hate Kairi. I also don't like SoraxRiku. I just think Kairi's character is well...perfect in Nomura's eyes for some reason and yet she's also perfectly undeveloped as one of the top 3 characters in the game. She's supposed to be so pure of Heart that she has no Darkness, yet she did a couple things that were kind of out of fear and selfishness such as the wanting to leave the island without Riku bit, instead of being pure of Heart and talking with Riku and Sora about things if she was confused. That wasn't 'pure of Heart' or being a good friend at that point. If my friend is acting odd, I'd think I'd talk to him and do something other than convince my other friend to leave the person behind who 'made' the item or bought the item I'd be heading out with. But eh, she's not a bad character for that choice. I just don't think it was a 'pure motive'. The other thing is that she's so poorly developed. I agree with Pika that she made this comment in KH2 that Sora 'needs them' because he can't deal with the Heartless. He's only been fighting Heartless through 3 games. Come on! She gets a Keyblade from Riku and suddenly she's equal to Sora and Riku's skill? Just no. Besides, all she fought were Shadows, which Sora was fighting by himself on Destiny Islands. What would be nice about Kairi in KH3 is the hopes that she actually becomes a more responsive 3rd main character. I think Riku kind of gets the shaft too in this way but at least he's better developed and we know his story. Kairi's story is so simple and yet empty. We could have learned more about her through DiZ perhaps. Anything. She has started to finally become one of the three and contribute more than just using her innate Light power and pureness of Heart. Of course, in KH1 I can't totally blame her for doing nothing as Sora prevented her from going to help Sora to try to get Riku back. So, she did her part by giving him Oathkeeper. I have no problems with Sora and she having feelings for one another, but I do think that she needs to also just well...be more out there and at the same time, not insulting Sora to get more showtime. She has potential and I do hope she's given more an active role. There's really no reason why she should be doing nothing but cheering from the sidelines or getting left behind. She's made her stand in KH2 so I hope in KH3 she can actually be learned more about and become a usable functioning being. Also, I think it's about time to answer just who she is with her background already. I won't say I 'liked' Namine better than Kairi, or Xion who seems to also be connected to her in some way, but at least they did more and are more complete characters. She's got to get out of Mary Sue stage though.
Apparently, the Castle Oblivion existed prior to Namine's creation. She ended up being found there and was taken prisoner by the Organization. It's also there that the Organization was working on understanding memories so Namine showing up may have either been the inspiration for the study or she popped up there and was ideal for it. That is the only unclear part about the Castle Oblivion really: Whether Namine showing up motivated the study of memories or whether they were conducting memory research prior to her showing up. I'm pretty sure by the notes given so far about her that she appeared in the Castle Oblivion and that she did not create it. In CoM, it was Namine at first who began to lure Sora towards the castle's direction because she was lonely and felt connected to the Keyblader. However, Marluxia discovered what she was doing and was determined to turn this to his favor. So he went and finished the job of encouraging Sora down the right path to the Castle Oblivion. Namine, of course, has connection to Sora because of being Kairi's Nobody that was formed after Sora used the Dark Keyblade to free Kairi's heart from his own. So in the end, Namine does start to lead Sora to her whereabouts and Marluxia took control over the process and used the girl's ability as he saw it was a way to take over the Organization.
Right now, the only PS3 that will play backwards compatible is with the PS3 Metal Gear Solid pack. There's another one too, but I can't recall what pack it's with. I can hope later the PS3 website will offer some games to download etc to be able to played on the PS3 as an alternative to the device removed to drop the price down. Fortunately I still have my ps2 and it works fine so I don't worry about it really. Also, SJ, I think quite a few of us have been 'neutral' despite saying preferences in the end. Many people have said 'buy it for the exclusive games' so it's not just a select few people who are not being the typical fanboys/girls and I'm kind of grateful for that. So sick of lame console wars.
In the end, sometimes instinct is right, Orange. If Luc is leaving, which means Meghan becomes free and your bf is acting more distant from you, it seems likely something is going on and he's confused and may not be so into your relationship anymore. People's feelings change and it doesn't mean he's bad or you are. School relationships are pretty well like this often. I'd say that you should probably try to talk to him directly and ask him what his actual feelings are on the relationship he has with you and that you do notice his distancing so if something is up, just say it. You may, by instinct and logic, already have the right answer but he should be a man and say so. He may have another reason for this behavior too, in which you should know so if there's a chance to salvage the relationship, it can be done. In either case, he should be more up front and to get him to do it, you may just have to meet with him somewhere. I hope you'll hang in there and stay strong. It hurts to lose someone in a relationship but you'll definitely find someone else later if that's the case and well, remember the good times and that relationships unfortunately have beginnings and endings until you find the right person. If it turns out he just has some other issue, well, he should explain that too. I'd say though at this time it's important to listen to the logic and intuition here even if it hurts emotionally and get him to talk and be straight with you.
Looks like a glare to me. There are also tiles on the floor that are glaring brightly and it seems to be the sun filtering into the room. There are tiles even far away from the light formation that are glowing so in the end it's a glare. Hospitals do use wax on the floors which reflects light. As for whether it's a 'miracle' or not... it's sad those doctors and nurses who maintained watch, cared for the girl and did all they could get no credit because someone sees a funky light. I'd be thanking them instead of some light and it is true that people will see what they want to see at times when under duress etc. This is no different to me than the shining 'angel' seen on the side of a building that was proven to be fake when some people went to another side of the building and did the same thing when the sun was in the right position to add water vapor. I am very glad the girl lived and pulled through but the miracle to me was in mankind's hands, not in this light's.
Ass is a word that is well, more accepted that it can be used in other ways than just to call someone a name. B@stard though is a word that is only ever used to insult others. It's literal meaning is a son without a father. Even that is quite insulting and has been used to deny males the rights to inheritance, especially in the noble lines and was due to the fathers sleeping around and not owing up to responsibility. Some people may use it for different meanings, but I've really never heard it as meaning 'shut up'. It's a cut down, slanderous thing to say. The only time I hear it meaning something else is in the technical world where sometimes we will say something is a 'b@stard' part, meaning that it doesn't belong and won't fit with the others or for the sword. Betch may mean a 'female dog' but how many people today actually 'use it' to mean that? Instead the only time it's really used to not be insulting to females is if someone uses it to say 'that person gripes a lot'. Then it's used for either gender. However, will people be more inclined to say 'you B'? Yeah, they would. Ass and a hole added...let's think here again that people would just use it to say it about someone else again. Ass isn't banned because it's not as derogatory. Ass also needs to be unbanned because of words like assimilate, etc that aren't crass words. This is a site for kids as well as adults and in the end, we need to keep to that theme that it is universally accepted as safe for anyone. Some members' parents do come and check on the site before allowing their kids to come here. If they see a ton of cussing, they will be very inclined to not allow members here. We all know the words exist and we all get the point if someone is using adjustments to the word to bypass the censors. However, it also makes the person writing the words think. There are several words in the English language that can be used instead of calling someone a b@stard or a betch or an a-hole. If it wasn't for the more 'aggressive' sorts of people here who insult often and the words weren't used so nastily, things might be different but we still all manage to get our points across. I am not usually one for censors in all seriousness. I can use crass words whenever quite liberally on occasion. However, on a forum meant for where kids and adults meet, it's just not appropriate to always do that. The censors aren't really taking away free speech in the end because we can still manage to get the points across with other words or variations of words and who doesn't get it if I say 'F*** that!'. In the end it just makes things less taken seriously which sometimes on a forum, we are bound to take them more seriously because it is hard to depict tone from text. The censors don't prevent cussing and cussing is allowed to a point. Consider it more as a way of lightening some messages because of the confusion that can happen with text messages. That's how I look at it since it isn't really preventing us from using the words at all. It kind of makes us consider how we will use the terms if we are going to.

RP posts don't count because RP is clearly done for enjoyment. There are some RPs that are surely done very well in which people write paragraphs etc, but there are others where players have much shorter posts etc. There are different preferences to RP and well, that is solely up to the game creators and the players. It would be kind of wrong for us to pick and choose which RPs deserve 'more credit' as far as post count goes because that's rather preferential treatment. So posts don't count on the whole and the section is just there so that people can enjoy an RP experience and have the option of some fun times. Hope that explains why the posts do not count and won't in the RP section. Basically, the section exists not for the good of the board but instead for a fun option for members to have. So hopefully, you'll enjoy the RPs here as there are some really great ones. Posts don't count but you can post in other areas of the forums for that. Just make sure you read the rules for those sections.
