I would say that perhaps you should try talking to your dad alone sometime and saying that you want to help him and be responsible but sometimes you feel burdened and rather alone in dealing with things. Tell him you want to help your sisters out because they do both obviously feel bad and the middle girl there with the tude also needs some attention and distraction. Say why you were aggressive and so upset to your father; about her screaming at you and then bursting in your room when you walked away to avoid the fighting and say you want to help stop the fighting in the family. If your dad knows that at least one of you is going to try to put forth some effort and work with him on keeping that family together, it may comfort him some and also let him know that you are trying to do the right thing but you are being pushed too and so he should not feel so alone. Your sister is going to take the concentrated efforts of both you and your father to deal with. She's angry her mom is gone. She's angry that your youngest sister won't stop crying and she's just very upset in her own way. So perhaps if you and your dad can come up with game plans together on how to deal with her, perhaps she will see that her anger isn't getting her very far and also you won't feel so prone to losing your temper. As for your youngest sister, seems to me that maybe you and your family need to perhaps try to do some things together and well try to at least go out to a movie or something. She misses your mom terribly but she's got to start doing other things and getting some joy out of life again. Try talking to her perhaps as well when she's sad or just go give her a hug if she'll let you. Sometimes just being there is a comfort and you really don't have to give advice or do much of anything else. It can at times be more appreciated than anything anyone can say. Also, as said, maybe try with your dad to organize some kind of family outings or at least games or something you can do together to try to realize that although your mom is gone, you guys all still have each other. I do hope things get better for you and your family.
Aw, it's fun. :( Sup?
Someone.needs.a.new.keyboard. They don't cost that much ya know. xD
Can't complain. Having fun with dmc4 now that I finally can play it.
As countless others in this thread have said, to believe in Yahweh or in any deity is a personal choice as there is no way to prove that he exists to the person that chooses not to and there is no way to prove to someone he doesn't exist to the person that takes the leap of faith to believe he does. Anyone can believe in whatever and find reasons as to why it exists if they choose to. Anyone can choose to disbelieve in a supernatural force beyond our human level of understanding. All that can be proven is whether history is accurately portrayed as to what these deities did that humans write down.
I enjoyed KH2 more than CoM, though I have to say I am really having a good time playing RE:CoM. The only thing that to me gives CoM more of a chance is that Riku actually gets to be played and his story to me was more compelling than Sora's, which was just a revisiting of the past. Sora's story picks up later on as he encounters the Org more but still, I felt at points if you just replaced the word 'memories' with 'heart' you'd have KH1 all over again. Seeing Riku's side of the story and his struggle made the game more worth it but overall, I still think that KH2 was better. I hope though when KH3 comes out, they take a hint from CoM and decide to put in more info on the 3 characters and not just Sora (and Roxas) so that we have options to move all 3 main characters through plots. BBS seems to have the option of playing the 3 main ones there, so I hope that in the end, KH3 also delivers the option so that we have more than one take on the storyline.
One of the reasons I do not believe in God is the fact that in life and all existence, nothing appears 'eternal' except perhaps that energy about that moves things to make things happen and it seems rather chaotic at best. Even that is perhaps not eternal. The idea that there is this guy out there that can do anything and knows everything is a wish to fill a void that can be filled with other more 'real' and tangible things to me. Everything seems to come from something and has a link or thread to something else. Closing things to say it all leads to this entity seems like we sell existence short instead of continuing to research and discover things ourselves to see where it takes us. If this Yahweh exists or existed in actuality, I seriously doubt it could have been the first and only thing in existence at its conception. As far as I'm concerned, since religions existed prior to Yahweh as did fanciful stories of our creation and all life, that in itself is enough proof to say it is not the original creator since it was unheard of at the dawn of religions, philosophy and belief. Also, the earth is definitely far older than what the Bible would have people believe and even Neanderthals appeared to have ways of ceremonial dealings with death. Knowing history and such, I can say that humankind created this entity because there is no proof whatsoever that this being existed prior to humans deciding it was so. The Old and New Testaments even take from other religions that predated them in working up their tales. So in the end, my answer is humankind predated Yahweh. Also, there are plenty of Gods and Goddesses out there that can do miracles of healing and bringing back the dead. Jesus was nothing special when comparing him to other beings of power of the time and that well predated him, despite his miracles that we mundane sorts can't hope to accomplish. His story is rather bland compared to the many mythos out there from all sorts of regions and even mimics quite a few other deities' histories.
This more belongs in the Help area. Check out this link and it should help you complete the cups. Good luck! http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=32662
lolwut? So who am I related to now?
bttp9999, giving you a long winded speech about how you are the biggest attention whore on the planet is just not worth it. In simple, shut up because no one cares and you aren't cool. Final warning.
Hey Serbkiller. How's it going?
Yeah, you jinxed it. We have like extra mental sensory perception that just chimes into these things. Anywhoo, happy posting!
You did get so far!!! But mwahaha.
You, your dad and mom need to sit down and talk. Your dad is depressed as you said, and he needs some convincing that you and your mom still love him and well, he's the guy that is there and money is not the only situation to think about. Tough times happen to everyone and unfortunately, many people are finding themselves unemployed lately. It sucks. He's not the only one and you need to tell him to get a stiff upper lip and that you are going to be there counting on him to keep his confidence in these tough times. Things may be tight for a while, but it's not his fault this is happening and so he has to keep fighting so that you and your mom keep going on too. Tell him that it's not the money that is as important as keeping the family together and trying to at least have some fun together. These bad times will pass. It's not what has to tear the family apart. It can bring you closer together too if he keeps his head about him. Perhaps ask your dad to try to fill out applications on such places as Monster.com and to go to his local unemployment office and check out jobs there online etc. If he is laid off, he can always also go for unemployment while he waits to get a new job. He has to hang in there and keep his head up and he'll find something. It may not be as great a job, but it will be something and well, now is the time for people to not be too picky. Online applications do get responded to. Also, checking the unemployment office or wherever it is he can go to get unemployment at; they may have tons of jobs there that he may be able to do for a while. If nothing else, tell him to try out a temp agency such as Manpower and they might be able to help him get in the door elsewhere to more permanent work. In the end, just telling him that he's loved and still wanted may not be enough to help him get over his depression...and your mom definitely should not be drinking or else he may take that the wrong way too if she's not a regular drinker. He may be thinking he is bringing her so much stress too and well...it just adds to the problem he thinks is there. Tell him that you guys can all cope with some loss in monetary things for a while and tighten the belts as long as the home life itself means something and that you can all enjoy your times together. You don't need him to be just the money-maker. He's there because he's your father and life would not be better without him there. He's not a failure. The economy is. So you have to ride that storm together. I do hope he will feel better and the rest of your family will. It's hard to go through economic hard times and lack of work, or not knowing if you will have a job tomorrow or not. He's feeling the pressure but the depression in itself won't help him plan for events and he needs to keep pride in himself and realize he's not a failure at all. This crap happens to the best of workers. I wish you and your family the best and do hope he will overcome this and your mom also will be more supportive and understanding too. If he can beat this depression, even if things get rough, you guys will be ok.
It does sound to me by what you describe, that you do not have multiple-personalities. MPD is a lot different than this. As others have said, it seems like bipolar, which means you will feel extreme emotions that deviate from happiness to rage to depression etc. It also may be that you are just experiencing extreme mood swings now as part of adolescence, which is giving off symptoms of bipolar. Diagnosing teens with bipolar can be a pretty dangerous thing as well, the medicines are not the greatest so it's nice if the doctors could be more 'sure'. The teenage years and chemical changes can show signs of quite a few disorders and mental conditions, so I can see your reluctance to go to be diagnosed and possibly end up on some drug that may or may not be right for you. In the end though, if nothing else works and you feel suicidal etc, I would urge you to do so because your life is important. If you refuse therapy for it, the thing I would suggest you do is try to do meditation and learn about your emotions so you can get a better grip on your life. Meditation done right can help alleviate a lot of pains and stresses that build up. Also, make sure you get the proper amount of sleep and do some exercising. This could be a temporary thing as teenagers often can be quite emotional because adolescence just changes the body and can make things go out of whack, including emotional states. Perhaps even try to do such things as read on books about how the brain works as these can be pretty insightful and sometimes you can relate and think of ways yourself on how to deal with emotional excess by relation. Some great books have been written by Steven Pinker, and many psychologists refer to his books for information at times. They are long reads but perhaps something like these books will assist you in coming to understand yourself better so that you don't feel these emotions are so out of control. If you would like some help on some good meditative practices, I would be glad to post a couple techniques here you can try out or that anyone can for when they feel overly stressed. I do hope you feel better soon and things become stable for you.
It doesn't look like she's choking the kid. She may have wanted to because he was being so horrible but to me it just seems she was holding the kid down and yelling at him to simmer down and cut his crap out; which ironically seemed to work so that she could get the kid home in one piece as well as the bus. I believe the board is at fault and there should have been a replacement for the monitor. The boy also needs better discipline and help that the mother should be seeking. It is not 'okay' for a kid to be doing this. Having a mental impairment does not mean the child should be allowed to do this kind of behavior and be potentially harmful to others. If he cannot help himself at all, he should -never- be allowed to be without a monitor ever and as he grows he will only become more dangerous if people do not step in and help this mother get through to the boy and get him the help he needs. Yes, the bus driver could have tried to just ignore the boy but he was potentially becoming harmful and what if she was driving and he did something more than just hurl things at her? She has to think of her safety, his safety and avoid accidents. That was a very stressful situation and really, I feel sorry for her because she is paying the price due to negligence of the school board and also the mother. The mother seems to think the school ought to be taking care of everything, but she needs to get that boy help too. We do not know the history of this boy's former bus trips with a monitor even or the acts of this child in school. The bus driver is a typical woman who seemed rather not to be just angry but afraid. He kicked up her adrenaline to where she felt she had to do something strong to get him to stop. That's not hatred she's displaying. He's pushed her over the edge where she's panicking, anxious and angry. When the moment was over and the boy stopped what he was doing, note that she returns to a calmer state and got him to his home. She doesn't hate the kid and was just having an emotional breakdown herself. It was a poor way to deal with the scenario but she didn't 'plan' on it. She was desperate. I don't think she should have lost her job over it. Aggressive children like this cause a lot of pain and there should have been some understanding. She's taking the fall for the board that failed to give her the help she needed. What I do think should have happened though is that the mother should have been notified and also a way to deal with the boy's aggression needs to be actually addressed more. She needs some better parenting skills to deal with a special needs child. If he continues to grow up in this manner, he is going to become a danger to her as well, and also because he has this aggression issue, I have no doubts he's been a danger to others at school. Otherwise, there'd be no need for a monitor. It troubles me that in Texas they are so far behind, but it's not the only state. In NY, if children are special needs with aggressive tendencies, they are never without mentors and staff that know of it and are trained to deal with those kids' needs. This district really needs to start getting its act together so that the kid is safe, as well as the staff and children around him and the mother needs to look into getting him better care to deal with it. Sadly, this boy, as things go on, is going to grow up and be more aggressive and the mother will have to put him into a home. So many kids end up growing up and not being taken care of well to address their issues and end up in group homes where they are isolated. Instead of focusing on the bus driver who lost her wits, they should be thinking on the future of this boy because it looks pretty grim so long as everyone keeps saying he's blameless and they don't try to do anything more for him.
