In the end, if a Christian would say it's fine to put on a bus that God exists, he/she should also be willing to let there be a sign saying there is no God. I think that religion really, whether advocating for or against it, should not be advertised at all on buses, but that's just my thought there. I'm Atheist and would rather that religious advertisements be at churches with their hokey signs they put up rather than seeing it all the time on buildings, posters etc elsewhere. If Christians want to gripe about a stupid bus sign, I'm all for it going down once I see the Christian paraphernalia also come down. Fair is fair.
Oh noes. xD
If cut scenes can be done they would. Closing this as it is not relevant to the game itself.

I've merged the two threads on the Gaza Strip together since they are the same topic. I will say it is both sides that are responsible for the conflict. This has been going on for years and Israel's hands are no less bloody than Hamas'. They both have their reasons to fight and be angry with one another and both sides have done horrible atrocities to the other side, in my opinion. Israel tries to claim land it has no right to. The Palestinians try to claim more land than they should. The Israelis have gone and destroyed the homes of people and many live with tanks and superior power versus people with -rocks- while Palestinians have suicide bombed Israeli civilians. If Israel and the Palestinians ever want peace and for people to stop dying, it is not just the Hamas who need targeted, but also the Israeli government. Sharon and Netanyahu are not -peaceful- men by any means and have done greedy exploitation and caused a lot of harm in the whole conflict. Hamas is wrong but does fund a lot of things in Palestine and will be able to because the Palestinians can't fund things otherwise such as schools and hospitals. Israel makes the problem worse doing these things they do. Israel won't know peace, nor will the Palestinians so long as Israelis keep choosing leaders that are war mongers. Even groups of Israelis see this and protest. The atrocities are on both sides and someday I hope the rest of the world will see it more clearly and stop siding with one or the other. The UN should have stepped in long ago and said whether the two like it or not, what land is clearly defined as whose land. We all look pretty stupid when Arabs are funding the Palestinians and Americans and Europe are funding Israel. If they want to duke it out, they don't deserve aid of any kind but for the civilians that suffer because the leadership of both territories suck. It's not anti-Semitic to say that Israel is just as wrong as the Palestinians in this whole mess but people are afraid to. If you are in error and causing mass bloodshed, you should be called out whether anyone else likes it or not. The Middle East in the first place has always been a spot of wars and if that's the change in Israel and the Gaza Strip, both sides have to be recognized as people that can't stop fighting one another for territory and because of religious differences. Great wrongs have been done to both sides long before Israel was even given to the people. I do hope someday something will be done to make things more bearable there and that people will get their facts straight and stop siding with either side because of their stances on what has gone on to either side and religious views.
Wolfie..young lady. -.- You are so in the shat now.
Tell her that you'll submit yourself to a drug test and if you come out clean, she has to quit her job.
Hello Knuckles. Hope all is going cool with you.
You are right, Styx. Humanity in that regard has changed, though I'd debate that Evangelicals and affiliated groups to them are going backwards while others who are Christan and not Christian are moving forward to better things, figuring out violence is not the answer. it was meant to stop the name calling and foolish insulting going on, but it was counterproductive.
I'll probably tick off any people that are all <3 <3 Israel or 'poor Palestinians' etc and I apologize ahead of time. I feel sympathy for the people and think at this time, both governments ought to be smacked down. Israel has caused just as much bloodshed as the Hamas have. With leaders like Netanyahu and Sharon (who has a ton of blood on his hands especially), Israel has been more violent than it has had need to be. The Hamas are also a vigilant group that supports a lot of bloodshed. If we though took tallies on who has lost more lives in the past years, the count would go to the Palestinians. Also, they have lost homes for no good reason. They've had tanks rolled over their places of dwelling, soldiers for years have shot people with -rocks-. This is not to say that there are enough cowardly Palestinians looking for their families to get some wealth and so they strap on bombs and go blow up civilian targets on the Israeli side. Hamas sadly gives much money to hospitals and education in that region. Israel is not handling matters right and in the end, should not because the territory should not be theirs to begin with. There were lines drawn in the past and Netanyahu has disobeyed them, Sharon has made things much worse and now Netanyahu again. *sigh* It is seriously time to make both Israel and the Palestinians follow an agreement that should have been settled years ago. Neither can honor lines that should not be crossed. Neither leaderships will stop encouraging violence and as long as Israel keeps insisting on assigning bloody killers as Prime Ministers and as long as Palestinians keep feeling that Hamas is helping them, there's not much anyone can do but sit and watch apparently. Those who say Israel is innocent simply do not know the facts. Those who say the Palestinians are innocent are also blinded. In the end, the people who suffer are the civilians that are caught in the landslide on BOTH sides and right now, Israel is out of line and going to extremes which happens to be causing a ton of casualties in comparison to their significantly less numbered lives lost. They are hated by Arab countries, sure, but they are making themselves mistrusted and questioned by others now and the leadership does not care. There are people IN Israel protesting this pointless violence. That should say something that not all of Israel is for this ridiculous bloodshed that the leaders are committing. I believe Jews definitely have their right to their own country, but they really need to understand that the Palestinians do too and stop acting like they are clean of any violent charges themselves. Hamas does need dealt with...but so do the awful leaders the Israelis have been picking for their Prime Ministers.
Your mom is a 'realist' and wants you to do an occupation that will make you money and let you live well economically. These are hard times and she does not want to see you living poorly and barely eeking out an existence. She's not trying to totally squash your dreams. She just does not see them as viable with the way things are. People can bring up J.K. Rowling, but before she made Harry Potter, she was living in a trailer. She was fortunate she was able to do so well with the books. Many authors do not do even a quarter so well, if that. Some authors never even get recognized though they've been published. Artists are some of the worst paid people around unless you get lucky to be recognized in any real fashion. This is not to say 'she's right' with what she's telling you. It is to say though that what you should do is prepare yourself with two goals in mind while at college. If you are taking literature, why not also take the education certification classes and such? That way if you want to write, you can work on your novel ideas, but when you get done with college, you have a job meanwhile to do that will put food on the table? If you present a plan to her such as this, it may help her see that you aren't just a 'dreamer' but that you also are planning your 'job' and then the dream occupation you want. Of course, there are other jobs you can also train for at college, so don't just think I'm saying that teaching would be your only option. Just well, if your heart is set on writing, go ahead and do it, but also have a plan to fall back on so that if it takes a while or you happen to fail, you have something else to go with. That'd be my advice anyway to dealing with the problem of her attitude being so extreme, but also it will help you so if things pan out, you are set, and if they don't, you won't get sunk and hear your mom going 'I told you so'. Good luck with things!
Sorry to hear about the loss of a great job because the economy is in the ol crapper. :/ I can make some suggestions to you though, as I've gone through the same thing at different points in my life. One is to go to the office where you'd fill out for unemployment. If you talk to a rep there, sometimes they can find you good jobs and give you referrals. They have a whole database there full of jobs and quite a few are sales jobs, at least around here. Another thing to try is a temp service. They suck, but sometimes they can provide you with a decent door opening into some businesses that otherwise you'd not find. Places like Manpower might be good spots to check and if they don't have jobs, you can always ask where a place might have sales entry position jobs. Try putting an application on Monster.com or some local area job site. People do surprisingly check them out and I've had a few friends get jobs through that method. I can totally understand your desire to not work for the food industry as it sucks. Perhaps you'll find something better soon. I hope you do and all goes well for you. That is a tough job to lose. It's so hard to find jobs that make that kind of money right now but you may get lucky if you try the things I've suggested here. Also, look in your local paper or online at local paper sites.
Actually, it doesn't sound like you push yourself too hard in gym. It seems more like you don't keep your physical activities up and well, stop running away from volleyballs. xD Then you won't be so desperate to have to try really hard elsewhere. You seem to be pushing yourself at moments in gym for a grade but you also seem to be slacking at other times so that you feel desperate enough to have to give your all at specific moments. I'd suggest for your health and so you aren't injured, that you actually try to participate in the gym classes and push yourself moderately so that you keep a constant state of muscularity and performance. Then you won't be so tired out when you push yourself, but at the same time, you won't be slacking off and getting the teacher to think you merit less than an A. Enjoy the gym classes as much as you can and don't feel you have to kill yourself to get an A. If you participate, do the activities and show some positive attitude, you'll get the A without harm and also get the most from the classes. Good luck!
Being as he's saying he's bi-sexual, he probably has had the potential in him all along but never found a reason to be interested in males before this person he met online. At least more than a passing fancy. In the end, I'd tell you that he's still the same guy you have known all along, just now you know a bit more about him and he was confident that you'd be okay with knowing, as he seems to value your friendship. Knowing that he has discerned himself to be bi because of someone else he met should be kind of comforting to you in a way as you aren't the person who he wants to have affections for in such a manner. I wouldn't worry about it in the end since it's not really changing his feelings about you in anyway. If I were you, I'd go on as things are and well, except that he's bi or at least exploring his sexuality right now. He may find out, since it is a person online he's interested in, that he's not really bi, or he may find out he truly is. Either way, it seems like he wants to keep you as a friend so don't feel uncomfortable about it if you can. Also, you might feel he's being kind of strange to 'decide' he's bi because of meeting someone online, but we do get to often know some people online more so mentally than offline. It could be an exploration of sexuality, but also the simple fact that perhaps he just really admires the other person's personality a lot and that person is gay. Perhaps he connects to the person on an emotional level. It's something to let him sort out and not think too oddly about. I hope things work out for you and you don't quit being this guy's friend. I understand it may feel awkward but I think he trusts in you and isn't asking for you to act any different towards him. He's not hitting on you or anything by how it sounds so it doesn't seem like that will be an issue. Good luck with things.
Alright, closing this one then. xD
I'd say reading or television probably over video games, though you can learn some things from them as well. Really, in the end it depends what shows you watch, books you read, or video games you play.
Yeah, I know xD It's really lame how much people will believe in some things and well, be their own worst enemies. The world ended for -them- on those dates at least so I guess in one sense they weren't totally wrong. >.>
Usually, there are only a handful of true friends at any given time someone might have. If we have one 'real' friend, we are lucky. Moving can be rough because it's like starting over, but there are good people out there and the real friends are those you can trust to be there on bad days or good and well, who will be there when you are stupid and mess up, or are there when you shine. Other people may be friends or acquaintances but true friends are rare and to be valued.
I highly doubt we can predict the end of the world just because the Mayan calendars stopped. In the end, the Mayan culture was also destroyed. We've had several dates go by that were our doomsday and people were even stupid enough to commit suicide on some of them. Some people just like to have their times when they think things will come to pass where we won't be here tomorrow. When we are doomed, we are going to know and it won't be because of something like this.
Actually, it's Christians who for years killed people over saying God doesn't exist and for daring to be different. I think that Styx may need to check himself but so should you. Your words are very hostile too and you could learn some tolerance yourself. Guys, if this area is going to continue to be a heated thing where people call each other names and put each other down, I will close it. Religion, or lack of religion, is a personal choice and that is all there is to it. It shouldn't be something where people, whether they believe or not, insult another member of this forums. A discussion certainly does not mean you call people names so please cut it out or I"m closing the thread. Usually, in here, people do much better than this. Let's get a grip.
