I'd probably start looking for another job and once I found one, I'd quit that job and say sayonara.

However, in the mean time, I might be prompted to ask the boss why he's giving this new guy more hours and that you need to work too and that it's affecting you. If he basically blows you off, try to not quit if you need the job. If you have some security with a stable home and such, and money isn't such an issue, you could quit outright, but if you are like me and could not do such a bold maneuver, stick around.

Also, if he lets you go for some reason, make sure that you are on your best behavior, and you may be able to collect unemployment from the place. If you quit, you can't get it. That would bide you some time to find another job. Fortunately, there are other restaurants out there though that would hire someone with experience pretty quick if you check around, so I would probably keep the job while looking and once I found another job, I'd be out of there. No need to work for jerks if you can get somewhere else.

    Good luck !

I don't think it's a reason to hate a teacher if the teacher tells you that you shouldn't be getting Cs straight. The teacher, if anything, is trying to motivate the student to put some more effort into the class. The teacher sees that the person possibly can do more.

With a response of 'my parents don't mind Cs', it does kind of say that perhaps this friend is not actually giving what she could to the class and is content to have a 'C' because she isn't about to get in trouble or disciplined for it.

Being as I when I was in HS, I either had As or I had Cs or occasionally Ds in classes, I know for some I could have tried harder but I didn't have the time or in some cases, I just really could not find the class interesting enough to make my brain remember anything. In college, I work a lot harder since grades really do matter a lot there. In high school, they do...and they don't. If you want to go to a community college after school, you can raise grades well there. It's what I did, so that I could transfer to uni with a solid GPA and school grades didn't matter as much as college ones have.

In the end, Cs are good enough if that's what you can do to pass a difficult class. However, expecting a teacher to not encourage or push you a bit is kind of silly. That's the teacher's job. It may frustrate a person if he/she is really trying and giving their all, but there are things that student can do too such as ask the teacher for some assistance. Quite a few teachers become jaded and won't say anything to students that seem to be more capable but aren't putting through the effort they could. Others still do care on actually educating and not just pushing people through the grades. I'd have been probably grateful in a way if some of my teachers had shown a bit more caring for the students. The ones that did were tough, but I always enjoyed them more.

Well, as I'd be a leader and such, and also care for my country I'd be in charge of, I'd definitely wish to repair things as I could. Due to the fact we are more of a global economy, the fact that the world itself is suffering with economic issues means that focusing inward is important as well as outwardly.

I'd try to work on gaining support of the people by doing some things to make things a bit easier on them and trying to encourage business growth and development. I'd try to look at smaller and mid-size businesses to compete against the bigger businesses that seem to be lagging the system if they are unwilling to do what is necessary by removing some benefits of larger companies if they will not comply with the needs around. I'd definitely be altering the way financing works in my country so that it is not so dependent on a Federal bank fund.

I'd also be encouraged to try speaking with other countries to get better trade established but also not at the cost that it harms local businesses from succeeding, and I'd try to see on keeping businesses local by doing up tariffs for those that decide to go out of the country as they are removing jobs from the people around. Working on making medical care cheaper by getting on pharmaceutical companies etc would be a good idea too so that businesses are more willing to stay and people can have some decent medical insurance and coverage.

I'd also try to check out certain laws and such, restrictions and things and if they are unneeded, I'd remove them to free things up a bit. Sometimes people can be happier if they see that the leadership is working hard and won't tolerate BS but cares enough to get rid of some stupid things that just hinder people and are redundant or silly laws. I'd do some other things like having a way where perhaps on a website or something, people could send emails so that I could answer chosen ones on the site and people could read to know I am 'publicly' involved and that I take the matter seriously. Also, I'd be one to ignore some of the ridiculous lobbyists out there and try to hear some other groups with concerns.

All in all there are more things I would do, but the important thing I would think as a leader of a country, is that action speaks louder than words. Communication, working, and trying to make things better bit by bit is needed and I'd do what I definitely could to try to get things to be better. Sitting around doing the same bureaucratic BS gets nothing done and lets some people who really have hurt countries for years to have the rights to continue doing so. I would find it pretty hard to just watch things crumble and I think the more things I'd do, the less people would be inclined to point fingers at me. With proper motivation and showing that I'd be a 'different sort of leader', I'd hope to also gain others who had some drive to also be inventive with things and assist of course in making things better, because in the end, great ideas happen when people care more.

I had no real problem with the first book/movie or this one. They are, after all, fictional works. Some of the information gathered is valid but there is a good spin that is also imagined up and stories that tend to have a good percentage of realism to me seem to interest me more than things that are entirely yarns.

You can glomp away. My street cred only matters on the streets... where for some reason adults leave me alone but kids come up and hug me and think I'm cool... yeah so...

Street cred is trashed. Have at it.

yeah, I've come around and fixed a couple things here and there but was just too tired to post lately. I also tend to come around at stupid times of night when we have only a few people around. It's the way it works with all the stupid crap I've been stuck doing.

And TMM.. I nearly snorted out my soda on your comment.

I have a PS3 and favor it over XBox. One of the reasons is because I don't have to pay for extra stuff if I do not want to. Then again, I'm certainly not out to cause another .. *gasp* console war issue. ~~

I miss you guys. Seems the only time I get on is late at night when most people are not even around anymore. I try to do stuff but yeah, finals and school this semester are kicking my behind. I only have one more semester after this one to getting my bachelors so it's been very busy.. plus I have a lot of work I'm doing since our work laid off people and tossed more hours at the rest of us to run us ragged.

I am not dead though and haven't forgotten this place. You guys rux and once finals are up, I will be here through the summer, except for a trip I have to do but even then, I should be able to get on with my lappy I will sometime buy here.

So, no, i haven't fallen off the face of the earth! I feel bad that people think so. You haven't gotten rid of me yet. xD
