chain another offerings on Dodger. You're out of monsters, creature swap fizzles, you have no hand or field; I have two face-downs, one final attack orders, one LaDD with full attack that will function after this turn, and I will not draw next turn. I think I win.

took me a while to find this card. Thought it was just offering, not offerings.

On cerb. You have one card left in hand, out of normal summons, I have three face-downs, and no normal summon next turn. Chain to that?

Chain final attack orders. Double summon is negated. Four face-downs left, your hand is three, LaDD @ 2300.
    Unless you chain to orders?

Dodger dragon is no threat to me, and I don't react to its summon. Continue your move.

during your end phase? Of the turn you just set the stuff?
And Crossout isn't chained, it's used in my main phase while LaDD is still face-down.

I summon LaDD set five, end.
You set five, enter end phase.
    I activate straight flush.
    LaDD attempts to negate.
    I chain BoM on LaDD.
LaDD is face-down, your entire back row is dead.
You're in the end-phase with one card in hand.
    Quickplay spell?

Edit: Oh, you have a face-down monster, not a card in hand. Nevermind. I use Nobleman of Crossout next turn, then OTK you.

It needs to be banned because with the way that you make the non-random work, defensive decks are either strong enough to win, and thus "unbeatable" or not strong enough to win, and thus "lose as soon as they run out of waboku"

I think this game is about to get approximately five times as broken. These new Fire King cards are seriously too strong..

If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters: Special Summon 1 FIRE Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster from your Deck. Its effects are negated and it is destroyed during the End Phase. You can only activate 1 "Assault of the Fire Kings" per turn.
During the next Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When you do: Destroy all other monsters on the field. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Fire King" monster from your Deck, except "Fire King High Avatar Garunix".

Even without the rest of the deck I think that's enough.. Add in the combo with Sacred Phoenix, which can also be summoned by Assault, and you're nuking the entire field during each and every one of your standby phases. And then, of course, they have more monsters, another powerful support card.. And most of their stuff probably isn't even out yet, since we've only seen six cards, and they have an entire structure deck..

I would be happy to duel against you using one of my weaker decks, but since you probably think I would just wipe the floor with you, I think you'd be best off playing against Terra, Rienzel, or Star, as long as they weren't using their strongest decks. Terra's Gishki are a strong deck; Rienzel's D.D. stuff is very disruptive, and thus not good for basic practice; Star, as I recall, uses HEROes, which you might not like playing against.

The meta will always be a very narrow set. If you think it was different earlier in the game's life, then you weren't playing the meta.

I'm certainly not infallible, and even if I were, I didn't say you were wrong.[DOUBLEPOST=1353262533][/DOUBLEPOST]
Not quite. You said "More cards, thus more variety." I said "Cards that can be used in more than one way, thus more variety."

Everyone had a blue-eyes deck. Everyone. And I, in the video games at least, had a clown deck. The only thing that made it different back then was access to cards. Most monsters were normal level fours, and of those the ones that had 1900 atk or 2000 def were the best. In that way there were less options before. There were also less spells and traps that were useful. Everyone ran Mirror force, Dark Hole, Trap Hole, Monster Reborn, Pot of Greed, ect. There may have been a lot of decks that looked different, and ran different cards.. But they basically all worked in the same way. Now, I can take a Fire Star deck, and come up with both a very aggressive play style, and a very defensive one. I can take my Fables and make a Unicore Control deck, a Synchro Spam, and a Quasar deck. I can take Scraps and make a defensive deck or an OTK deck. I can take Inzektors and make a deck around Hornet spam, or around boosting atk with equips and the Giga-s, or one made to Xyz spam. I can take Wind-ups and make agressive Xyz spam, or a Loop, or something defensive using kitten, snail, and rabbit with gachigachi and zenmaines.

And then the opponent uses creature swap.

Edit: Also, how long have you had SAO stuff? I've just noticed it now.

Don't bother trying to memorize cards. it's a waste of time. If you want to learn cards, simply duel. I'm sure you can't tell me what many of the Wind-up cards can do, as you haven't played them, but you can probably tell me most of the dark world cards not named Latinum, and what they do because you've played them. The key to learning cards and how they work is practicing against them.

And for practice, we obviously wouldn't use our strongest decks against you. It's been forever since I've used my Fables at all, and I don't use my Madolche deck much anymore. When Brook first challenged me with Heraldics just to get a sense of how they worked, I used my Masked Heros deck (the screencap I posted), which isn't even a deck I normally use. As you can see, those games were pretty close, being decided by things like a top-decked Card car attacking directly. When we both had a sense of how strong they would be, he upgraded them and I used my Madolche because I thought they would be the best match. It turns out they're a bit stronger, but my next best deck, Steelswarm, is weaker. I didn't just play him with Fables the first time and OTK him every game.
I have a large enough range of decks that I can use things that are reasonable, good, powerful, or inconsistent, and as long as the game is close, it's usually fun.

Edit: If you really want to read through every card, you can go on DN and change the search from alphabetical to newest first, then search without anything filled in. You'll be able to see all the cards it has in the order it got them, newest first, then just read through until you find cards you recognize.

Never underestimate the power of Bubbleman and Card car D. They are good for things other than draws and tribute fodder.
